What are your opinions on it? Google is really hassling the YouTube community to become one with Google+...

Can't say I'm a fan. It seems like a really cheap shot for them to force it on everyone like that. Google is a big enough part of the internet already, and I can't see why they want so badly to get in the market of social networks that they're assimilating users from another website. Google+ has been looming over YouTube for a while now, and no one wanted it then either. This latest charade just seems desperate, and YouTube isn't going to have much of a future if they keep running it the way they have been.

I agree. It does seem really desperate and the way they are so insistent about it is just ridiculous. Since I've refused to convert my account into a Google+ account (Which I did once, mind you, and it was horrible but I was luckily able to switch it right back) I now cannot comment on any videos at all without the popup coming up to ask me to change my name. Of course, after I refuse it still makes it to where I can not comment. Thanks YouTube

Definitely not a fan. The whole shift was not thought out, it really feels like they are holding comments and notifications hostage from people that refuse to switch. A lot of the channels I'm subscribed to won't even look at their comments anymore and say just to comment on their Twitter or Facebook pages. There's lots of exploits that have been opened up using Google+, one of them being having people's Youtube channels taken down by flagging their Google+ page as an imposter. Google takes down the Google+ page immediately without investigation (and your Youtube channel goes down with it because of the link) and the only way for you to get it back is to show some form of official ID like a driver's license or a passport. So of course, if you don't use your real name you're SOL in this regard. Just, it's all really bad news. @@

Geez... are you kidding me? I had no idea that their system was that broken! It really is frustrating, the whole thing, especially the comments. I feel like youtube is robbing me of potential subscribers and commentators because of their foolish plans. I want to hear what people have to say and I can't with things how they are! I really hope they fix this soon when they see how many people are against this whole thing. But... knowing Google, they won't and will just force everyone to get used to it.
