I don't know if I'm the only one, but I feel like I'd rather place priority over the actual character than what they identify as and who they like. I mean representation is good and all, but I wouldn't want to make a character solely for that reason. Melty I get you actually Though sometimes I wonder to myself "I kind of want to try writing a different and more diverse character" so sometimes I try not writing what I know

I never really like to decide sexual orientations, since I don't think it's particularly necessary for any of my stories. Even though they have focus on romance. I guess the big bad to SRR is genderless but it's for a reason (you'll just hafta wait). And Rizu, Yumeno and Miki (from respective series) have interest/a preference in girls, I guess. I guess. I don't know if I'm the only one, but I feel like I'd rather place priority over the actual character than what they identify as and who they like. I mean representation is good and all, but I wouldn't want to make a character solely for that reason. youre absolutely correct!
I am merely opening a discussion on the topic to see others views ^__^ none of my stories are built on any of my characters sexual orientations (they are usually left to interpretation, anyways) and typically, it probably wouldn't be good to focus solely on a character's orientation for it doesn't define who they are

Uh... let's see... Melly in canonly transgender, and since she and Potpourri eventually end up getting married, it's safe to say the two aren't straight.
Argoa, the world were Kino and Boots takes place, is very different from earth. Heteronormativity was never really a thing there. But that being said, as a lesbian, it's easier for me to write romance between women and I'm also more compelled to introduce queer characters. I've pretty much planned out everybody's orientation and gender identity, and a lot of them just happen to be queer. It's not brought up into the story that much, so I don't feel right to flaunt them of being the upstanding example of representation.

(I know I posted here already but whatever)
The only two people I really thought about thoroughly were Daniel and Serenity. There were a couple that I was unsure of like Michelle and Hydrangea. Daniel is asexual and aromantic and Serenity (still looking into this to confirm) is demisexual and demiromantic (not sure about her romance preference yet).
(also I apologize for using LGBTQ* because the star is really not supposed to be there. I meant to say LGBTQ. That was very rude of me and I apologize if anyone is offended)

I have two lesbian characters in Penalty All About. Patterlin and Helaily. And there are a couple and one of the only couples that act like normal people compared to Odesion and Pantriece.
I would say more but spoilers, yo.

One, just one, of the Seers is straight. I can't say who due to plot, but they are the lone heterosexual in a sea of pansexual nonbinary spirits and their hella queer roommates/friends-who-slay-together-stay-together.

Old thread that I am bringing back! For Asmia I have pointed out from the start that its about two lesbians. But its kinda a plot point of where I want the story to start? "I don't wanna marry a man I wanna marry a woman." But like the story is not really much about lesbians or love or anything. Like the couple doesn't even end up in the same room very much. The story focuses a lot more on building friendships. I guess it's just to get the ball rolling?

Thanks for bringing this thread back, skullgirl, so I can do this. I have two lesbian characters in Penalty All About. Patterlin and Helaily. And there are a couple and one of the only couples that act like normal people compared to Odesion and Pantriece. I would say more but spoilers, yo. I have more LGBT characters. (Since more episodes of PAA are out, yo) Viv is a crossdresser and he basically treats it normally. ( Though Odesion didn't at first because he's a piece of shit.). I have three Asexual character: Visiarko (Carrot Fluffs), Tiyanua (Mi-Pie), and Aben (Penalty All About)

Generally if a character belongs to me, it's MOST LIKELY that they're not heterosexual hetero-romantic. Also there's a lot who are not cis either.
Magical Girl School: Kiki is ace, Ameko is pansexual, Hiro is trans, Harmony is agender, Ko is a lesbian, Arashi is ace aro, Naname is heterosexual biromantic, Puki is heterosexual panromantic. (these things may be said differently on other pages because they used to be spoilers but now I just don't care lol)
Jaden Unshaken: Jaden is ace, Em is a genderqueer lesbian/het (how does that work? sometimes she's a lesbian, sometimes he's straight?? I'm sorry I just don't know the title for that), Amy is a lesbian, Angie is ace aro, Faith is heterosexual panromantic, Sweetie is a spoiler but she counts as lgbtqa+, Manny is gay, "Tom Johnson" is gay, Cameron is bisexual, Luna is asexual panromantic, and Maurda is heterosexual aromantic.

I may do something else with 3DS but here's a quick rundown of sexualities and gender of those that aren't cisgender and straight.
Janice is bisexual, Quinn is a genderfluid panromantic demisexual, Tabitha is a lesbian and Ursula is asexual. I did consider giving Ursula a roommate who may have been something but I don't remember now.

I think like 3 of my characters are heterosexual. The rest range to all different parts of the spectrum, partially thanks to titee , cuz everytime I make a new character, he immediately tells me to make them a boyfriend if they're a boy or a girlfriend if they're a girl. And then I have one transgender character who I love so much named Net-0, who is demisexual {Spoiler - Click to Swoo}

(ill speak to you whenever i FINALLY feel like getting episode 2 out and maybe youll actually know who the 3 who arent named in the lame joke first episode are shurg shurg (i say as no one will watch it anyway))
