So I talked about it and someone suggested a New Years' Skype call. But since some of us are in Australia, I thought about turning it into a 24-hour Skype call, so that everyone enters the new year in the same call. We could also maybe do Livestreams or whatever else. What I'm planning right now is having the Skype call start at 11:00 PM Australian Eastern Standard Time just before Australia enters the New Year. While this would be 4:00 AM PST and 7:00 EST, there are also people awake. Here is the meeting planner details courtesy of timeanddate.com. So not only did I choose each American timezone, but I also chose London for the British and European people, and also Frankfurt for the select few Germans (aka Chiara). I'm considering hosting the first few hours, at least until someone else can host the call. What I'm thinking is not having a true 24-hour call that progresses without anyone hanging up, but a rotating series of hosts depending on who is awake at what time. If anyone else has any ideas for this, please state them here! If not, then hopefully we can get this call going. Once again, the call will start at 11:00 PM AEST, but you don't have to be awake by then, since that's pretty much morning in America. EDIT: Someone suggested doing Tinychat, just like we did for Halloween, so if anyone's up for that, let me know.
