Animations have so much work to them and it can be especially hard to work on them and it turn out well if you don't have inspiration, y'know? Plus, most wouldn't pay for a commission for animation if it's priced well. Since Animations are so time consuming, I'd definitely charge on an hourly basis, no less than minimum wage. And say it's a 2 minute long video, it'll probably take me about a month. Imagine how much money that is!

It is a lot of money for sure, but since I already got two jobs commissions arn't an option anymore anyway. I mean I'm animating at a german animation studio... well "animating" since I'm young and not yet educated in the field I just get to do the aweful work. But when I think about it, there is hardly any not aweful work in this project. It's a shame that we are right now doing a series for kindergarten children. D: There is a feature film project coming next year, but I won't stay for long anyway... But working at a cafe as a part time job is quite fun. :>

Ah yeah, having two jobs doesn't leave a lot of time to do work on commissions, since it'd be like working three! It's nice to hear you're already at an animation studio! That's awesome! Even if you don't get to do a whole lot of fun stuff it seems, it still give you some experience and it will certainly help you in the future!! I hope I get to see the series for the children since you worked on it!
Oooh a cafe? That sounds nice.

Commissions are definitely eating up my time-- which brings me to my next thing, sorry for being gone so long guys! A lot's been happening offline. Health and financial issues combined are the worst. Even though it was mostly spent in the emergency room (not me, but I took my hubby in), I did end up having a better birthday than I'd planned. ^^ And tomorr-erm, today apparently is our anniversary. 9 years... wow. Time flies. I'm hoping to be able to get some projects going soon. I've been doing some sketching recently between commissions to get a feel for drawing out my characters for the Lotus story. Mwahaha~! And I've been dabbling with Dragon's Dogma again. Anyone play that?

Welcome back, Nuci! I'm glad to see you back and hoping that since you're back, all the medical and financial issues were resolved! I hope the best for the two of you, and Happy late birthday and happy (late?) anniversary! Congratulations on not killing each other Actually the day you posted that was our anni, so thanks! There's been a few close calls with the murdering-- I'm joking. Obviously with any relationship there's been spats, but once we both learned to chill and communicate more things worked out. Unfortunately no, the issues are still ongoing. We've been fighting tooth an nail though, we're not going to sink without a huge splashing fest! >:[ I've been pleading anywhere I can for opportunities to make money... taken on a ton of commissions for dirt cheap, basically everything I can do. We've managed, somehow... our credit is shit now but we're not homeless yet! And he's still getting his meds.

I see I see! Well if you two are still alive and breathing while holding each others hands at least occasionally, sounds like things are good in that department. Ugh that's not good to hear that life is still giving you issues though... but I'm glad you're still fighting! I'm here rooting you on in the meantime, and hopefully I can scrap together some cash to help you out I've certainly been thinking about it since you posted it on deviantArt.

That'd be super, Kisaka! But I appreciate the thought even if you can't afford it. ;w;
