From animated series to fun little projects in RPG maker, taking on a project requires a bunch of steps in order to get it finished (depending on the project, of course). Outlining, coloring, lip syncing, script writing, voice acting, audio mixing, making in-betweens, character designs.....I mean, I could go on forever.
So, my question to you guys is: What's your favorite and least favorite part of project making?
Personally, I would have to say my favorite part to making my series would be the audio mixing! I totally love when I finally gather all the audio samples from my voice actors and start piecing it together. Adding the right sound effects, lining up the individual lines to form conversation, placing the perfect background music to set the tone... it's all so fun! Because it's the first thing I do before making frames, hearing the script I wrote out loud is really the first time I can sense the project really coming together!
and, as for my least favorite part, lip syncing.
because fuck that.

My favorite part of the process is exporting the finished product because of the satisfaction of having it done and seeing the completed product. I also really like making up the ideas for the project. As of now the only non-academic projects that I'm working on are comedy, but sometimes when coming up with jokes I'll think of a joke that I find so funny that I start laughing like a maniac. I remember that I was particularly excited for the joke in my video series called "Sandor interviews" where Sandor starts singing the U-G-L-Y song to Toya from Crystal Hearts, and I was also super exited for when Sandor got high with Nyoto. My least favorite part is inbetweens for actions that aren't particularly interesting like walking or grabbing something out.

I tend to enjoy storyboarding, because it's before the point where I go, "OH MY GOD THIS IS TOO HARD HOW DO I DO THIS HOW DO I DO THAT I SUCK AT THIS."
My least favorite part is probably making inbetweens, unless I make a really awkward frame that makes me laugh.

There are two versions of this. Actual animation and visual novel "animation"
Let's start with Visual Novel:
My Favorite part of is setting up the sprites and do all the video and audio editing.
My least favorite part is looking for good music or sound. (Because they are a bitch to look for! =A=;.)
With Actual animation:
My favorite is kay framing. Least favorite is inbetweens. (Which is why I smear sometimes.)

I really enjoy making the soundtracks for my work! Besides the story etc, I find myself also getting attached to projects that have good tracks to them. So yeah I find that really enjoyable. Still an ammature at it though!
My least favorite part is lip syncing. We just don't. . . .sync very well. . . ..y'know. Heh.

Animikey LMAO I FEEL YA. Also, I didn't know you made your own soundtracks! (Tells how observant I am, heh.) very cool!! Ive wanted to make tracks for my own series as well, but the only music I'm good at making doesn't match the themes of any of the projects I have going. -shakes fist at the sky- ChibiGissy & pilotobvious funny how both of you guys dislike making in-betweens. It's actually a pretty relaxing process for me sometimes! As song as my keys are not too far apart, it's sort of a mindless process where I can kick back the creative juices and just zone out for a while and listen to music but also be productive and stuff! 'u' I think the only downside to it is that I get tired after a set period of time and end up not making as many as I need to. Oops.

Yeah, though I won't lie, I do use the odd bit o' Royaly free stuff too, bit very. . .very little of it now because I've been getting the hang of making it myself so I'm feeling pretty good about that! ^^
Haha yeah I know what you mean!

My favorite parts are putting the audio together (I'm not sure why, I just like the accomplishment) And I love drawing sketches and concept art the most~ It gives me a good feeling, like "Yay I'm going somewhere with this~"
Then there's writing the story, which is a love-hate situation, because I hate when I'm stumped as to how to conclude or start something. But I love it when I think of a story and believe that I can be really passionate about finishing it. "Just Another Alice" was actually supposed to be my attempt at writing satirical fiction a few months back, but since I really want to push myself to make something I can be proud of, I thought that I'd fanimate it.
My least favorite part... turning my drawings into digital format 'cause I'm still inexperienced with using a tablet. I always end up using my mouse.

My favorite part is animating. If I could JUST animate for eternity... I'd be so happy with that. I hate putting it together so much, cause I just know I suck so bad at it OTL however, putting things together is not my least favorite thing- my least favorite thing is probably the sound effects because I suck at that too. anything audio related is just a bad day for me. Except if I put something together and it actually sounds nice, then I fangirl over my own episode part and be like "omg they are alive" otherwise, yeah. I don't know why I'm making a fanime if I can't do anything but draw it. lmaooo.

Writing: Favorite part is probably editing/polishing. Least favorite is that first draft, trying to put the synopsis into story form. The easiest way for me to deal with that is just write whatever comes to mind and put my editing instinct completely to sleep.
Comics: Favorite part is coloring and special effects. Least favorite is lineart and lettering. Unfortunately I think this shows =(
Animation: Favorite part is having the animation finished and putting everything together, also editing. Least favorite is the inbetweens like a few of you guys. I don't like lip synching very much either.

Watching and re-watching and re-watching successfully animated parts that I'm proud of. They're usually really short in my case, but I have a lot of pride in those moments.
My least favourite thing is putting up with WMM. It loves freezing ALL the time, and it's hard to watch playback because it only plays something for a little bit before the picture freezes.

Audio is always my favourite part. It's fun to put voices together, time certain sound effects, decide music and ambience. What's not fun is drawing inbetweens. Which is why I never draw them. Lol.

I like making backgrounds and line art. Honestly, I'd rather line somebody else's animations than work on my own...
I hate sketching out animations, and sketching period. I've gotten to be super neat with my stuff, so when things are messy it really bothers me.

I personally LOVE script writing. I can crank out my scripts fairly quickly because I have so much fun with them. I mainly like them because it gives me a chance to really get a feel for who my characters are. My least favorite is animating people who fight with daggers/swords. The attacks can be rEALLYYYYYYYYYY HARD
