I'm starting a meet up for Otakon, but this meet up is only intended for those who were already planning to come to Otakon or can make it to Baltimore without taking a plane. This does not replace the official fanime meet up in Pennsylvania in Summer 2016.
The cost of attending Otakon will vary depending on how early you sign up. You need to buy a badge to attend Otakon, and as of now the badge costs $80 because there are not 10,000 registrants yet. You can pay an additional $10 to have the badge mailed to you so that you don't have to wait in line at Otakon for hours to be given your badge, which is strongly recommended.
[EDIT] The place we will be staying has changed. We are staying at a more expensive hotel and are only staying from Friday to Sunday. Unfortunately the apartment room I reserved before has been cancelled because the service was unreliable, but now I have reserved a hotel room that is definitely reliable. We will be staying at Hotel Indigo Baltimore for $209 a night with a room that has two double beds.
I will ask everyone to chip in to pay for the price of the room in advance through paypal. How much I ask you to pay for the hotel price will depend on how many people share the room with us.

-Please let me know by June 26th whether or not you will be staying in the hotel with us and I will message you about how much you have to pay and my paypal information.

-If you are low on money then you can choose not to pay for Otakon and just hang out with us in the hotel and do a few other things with us, but you won't be able to attend any Otakon events or go inside of the convention center. You will only be asked to pay as much as you can afford and will still be allowed to stay in the hotel room with us.
[EDIT] I want as many people as possible to come into the convention with us, so if you can afford an Otakon badge but are not able to afford to stay at the hotel with us and are unsatisfied with the idea of staying in the hotel without paying your portion of the hotel fee, then I can commission you to do an animation for me to pay off the hotel price. Feel free to send me a private message about this deal if you want a more thorough explanation.
