Everything is in the video:
If you don't believe in videos, here's the transcript:
So if you're watching this, you've probably already seen my announcements
video. If you haven't, Evan and Eve will be a series of short videos typically
under a minute in length about funny and awkward situations. It's sort of a
slice of life thing, but mainly a slice of my life. So, like, social awkwarness
and all that jazz.
Anyway, Eve is the female counterpart to Evan, and obviously, she needs a
voice! Now, rather than getting one dedicated actress to play Eve indefinitely,
I decided it would be more fun to have Eve played by a different actress each
time she appears. Since this is a weekly series, I'm going to need a lot of
them.
In the event that I run out, I'll more than likely have previous actresses read
in different voices, so it helps if you have a wide acting range.
Eve herself is a more mellow character, and usually isn't too hyper or emotive.
Most of her lines are observational or questioning, because she's admittedly
kind of a springboard character. On top of that, since the videos are so
short, she won't have very many lines in general, and there are a lot of times
where she'll only have one line in an episode.
While Eve doesn't have any scripted curses in the fourty plus episodes I've
already written, there IS swearing in the series, so it's possible that Eve
may swear at some point.
I'm pretty much willing to accept anyone's voice, but I'd prefer good
microphones for obvious reasons.
Following the standard tradition of auditioning, here are a few lines:
Eve: "Hey Evan, what's up?" (standard greeting; casual)
"Are you serious?" (confrontational; disagreeing)
"You're an idiot." (Blank statement; reciting a fact)
"Just wash the stupid dishes!" (Ticked off; Frustrated)
They'll also be in the description.
I'd prefer you upload your audition as a video and link it to me, but you can
also send the lines to Drahveson@hotmail.com if you want. Oh, and I'll need
official lines to be in either MP3 or WAV format.
So... Please audition! You're almost guaranteed to get a part if you do, so
there's really nothing to lose. Thanks for watching!
