So when I first started Future Agents the Movie, there were a LOT of minor characters in the movie who only had one or two lines. All of those characters were older men.
With the exposure I had at the time... I had a mostly female demographic. So I resorted to my only option (note: the laziest option), I used text-to-speech voices. Like Microsoft Sam, except multiple times with 'different' computer voices. And I will admit that in some fanimes/animations, it totally works. But in my case... not so much. The voices fit in one place in the movie, but that doesn't even scratch the surface of every TTS voice I used...
I think there are now a few more guys who have seen my work. And now that I'm replacing the music in the audio, I figured I might as well replace the robotic text-to-speech voices I used.
So basically, if you're a dude with a good mic, you'll pretty much get a part. (I'm looking at you Evan!!!!) You don't even really have to audition as long as you have a valid sample of your voice work. If you're a female, you can certainly send me your samples too. Some of the roles are definitely interchangeable.
The roles I need to fill (in order of appearance):
CS Soldier 1 (Antagonist) - Preferably Male, I feel like the main antagonist, Dr. Suzuki, would be a little sexist.
General of the Air Force (Reserved for War Time, but the movie is set during a time of war) - Open to anybody with a lower/deeper/more mature voice)!
General of the Future Agents - This has to be a male because I've already animated him in a couple spots.
CS Soldier 2 (Antagonist) - Once again, same preference as CS Soldier 1
Agent 1 (Protagonist) - Anybody! (More lines than anyone else)
Agent 2 (Protagonist) - Anybody!
Antagonist - No name given, but seems to be an important figure in Suzuki's radical group, he has one line. Preferably male because of Dr. Suzuki's sexism.
Guy/Girl in Bush - Anybody!
These parts range anywhere from one line to maybe five or six. This is a very unprofessional VA Audition (Definitely more unprofessional than I'm used to) but I feel like I don't have to go through all the major steps that bigger auditions take. Most of this is just say your lines, send them to me, and be done forever, whereas I'd have to call back on my main voice actors.
So there we go. That's all I have to say. If you think you might know someone who is interested, send this to them.
