So let me tell you guys something. Today, the word's been buzzing around that someone from my high school has created a Twitter account called (Insert School Name)_confessions. I don't have a Twitter account personally, but I've been able to get on and look at what they have, and not to mention that EVERYBODY was talking about it. It. Is. Hideous.
It disturbs me how sick kids from our school can be. They get to anonymously (Or not) message their confession and it gets posted. Some of the stuff is so hurtful about the other students and even teachers. Like, holy hell, what is wrong with these people? They have no consideration for others around them and they're so immature ALL the time.
It's a terrible representation of our school, and they act like their proud of labeling us as "Party Nation" and "Where you can get dip from anyone if you just ask."
There are a lot of things that I would prefer to omit from this post, but, it gets pretty scandalous. I'm glad I'm a senior and will be leaving next year, but it's only a matter of time before they start targeting innocent people.
This is stuff anyone can see, and if it keeps escalating, we'll just be on the news again for doing something stupid. In the past year, we have been on the news for racial slurs and having a party busted.
Teens will be teens, but this is just the start to a disaster.
I don't think I'll personally be targeted. I'm well known by everybody at school, but I'm one of those kids who keeps my mouth shut and doesn't say anything that could possibly bother anyone. But anyone can be a victim, and I know I've said some things about me/my interests that could turn around and bite me in the butt. We are a very tiny district, and they advertise us like we're ALL horrible people.
So I suppose this constitutes as cyber bullying. Some of it is poking fun at one another and is obviously not to be taken seriously, but other stuff is just terrible libel or things people don't want publicized of themselves.
It's a matter of time before the officials find out about this. I can imagine that anyone involved with the overly hateful remarks will be reprimanded. Someone is bound to report it. Maybe that someone is me.
So I suppose to keep the conversation alive, has your school ever had any issues of cyber bullying like this? Have you ever been cyber bullied before? I was once, but the person was a troll, so it was poorly done. But I was an innocent 12 year old who didn't grasp the concept of trolling, so I was offended. Ironically, the little prick who was bothering everyone got hacked by a hardcore gangster rapper, who happened to be a nice guy. So I guess that's how the world works. lol
