((Not a role playing post)) (( I'm curious as to what everyone's favorite battles in Shadow Slayers were now that the game is over, so if you don't mind I'd like you guys to vote on your favorite fight on the poll here: goo.gl/K3s1EK
So the Story of Shadow Slayers was originally going to be much different. Lots of changes were made to the plot mid-game and since people were curious about what the original story was I figured I would go ahead and post it here: There were going to be two more legendary fearen that appeared on the battlefield in the first fight and Kama was going to give up on the fight and tell the Shadow Slayers to retreat. The Shadow Slayers were going to try to retreat but Oxy would be knocked out of Celty's hands by a winged fearen, and the cloak would also be knocked off of Oxy revealing that he's a fearen. Oxy would've fallen behind because he was knocked down, but Kama rushes in and throws Oxy back to Celty, but now Kama is behind the group and it's too late for him to run away. The fearens would tear him apart and Fearos kills Kama with an energy bomb. After the Shadow Slayers make it back to the church I was going to start role playing as a new character who looked up to Kama, and my new character was going to start a bunch of drama over the fact that Kama died to protect Oxy even though Oxy was a fearen. We would then vote on who the new leader of the Shadow Slayers should be once the drama was over. Even before I knew about Oxy I would've had Kama fall behind and die anyways because his leg got injured or something. Shadow Slayers was originally not going to have the Tairaga fight at all, but the fight was added in because I felt like without it the game would feel too short. After they run away from Fearos and the other two legendary fearens, they'd go back to that battlefield and find that all of the fearens are suddenly dead. They'd keep following Valdus's trail and find the temple after wandering around a bit. Valdus would state that he killed those fearens that they found dead and absorbed their souls because he almost had enough souls to become the new god of prophecy. Valdus would also reveal that he was the one who made Fearos and co-ordinated the fearen ambush in the first fight. In order to make Tairaga relevant to the overall story I decided that it would be Tairaga instead who created Fearos and co-ordinated the fearen ambush in the first fight. I also considered having Kama die in the Tairaga fight, but decided to have him almost die instead. The final fight was not going to have regular fearens in it, but rather golden clones of Valdus as the weaker enemies, and the humanoid fearens were not going to be there as well.))

and with the image of the victory circle still fresh in his mind, Altheron passed out. Galystris absent mindedly looked over to the side back to the battlefield and saw a figure laying down on the ground. "Erm...excuse me..." she set down her tea and headed over to where the passed out Altheron lay. She crouched down, and inspected him to make sure he looked okay. Well, she had about the amount of healing and medical knowledge as a brittle piece of wood, so she wasn't entirely sure. She grabbed his shoulder. "Hey...Mister..uh...." she didn't know his last name, or if he even had one so she didn't bother. She shook him lightly, hoping to wake him up. "Mister Altheron uh...please wake up...." she said, as if that would help anything.

"Mister Altheron uh...please wake up...." she said, as if that would help anything. "Hmm?" Altheron grumbled, shifting slightly from side to side as he slowly came to, the murmurs of the outside world disturbing his nap. He turned his head over to his right to face the voice calling out to him. The looser ends of his hair fell to the side, completely masking his right eye as if it were meant to stay that way forever. The world around him was all a blur as he slowly opened his eyes, only a tad shocked that he'd been looking through one of them once more. Wasn't he looking through both not too long ago, or was that just a dream? Sandor's defeat and his nap happened at the same moment. Had it been possible he had imagined it all? He soon got his answer once his vision began to clear up, revealing a clear sky and no prophecy god looming overhead, and straight in the center of it was the ice mage from earlier. Altheron blinked twice to get the sleep out of his eyes(?) and sat up. He couldn't remember having many interactions with the girl and was pleasantly surprised that she had been the one to approach him over everyone else. "Oh!" he chimed, ignoring the pain in his head as if he never fell on it. "Hello, Galystris! Have you come to save me?" He sported a goofy grin shortly after dishing out that dumb statement.

"Ah, you're awake." she said, slightly relieved. Galystris ignored his comment, for her own sake. After all, she wasn't entirely sure how to respond to that. "Are you hurt?" she inquired, with a slight tinge of worry in her voice, although it wasn't entirely apparent. "If you need an ice pack or something, let me know. That's about the extent of healing I know." She stood up from her spot and offered Altheron a hand, ready to help him up.

That's about the extent of healing I know." She stood up from her spot and offered Altheron a hand, ready to help him up. "I am fine." he responded, the sharp pain having now reduced to a dull throb. He pondered at her offer to help. He wasn't in much pain, if anything. The thought of an "ice pack" didn't feel all too comforting, given his last experience with ice. Valdus had frozen him into place with a large chunk of it, if he remembered correctly. The cold managed to penetrate his boots and made his legs feel numb as he desperately tried to break his way out. The very idea of using it to aid his injury -if you could even call it that anymore- made him shiver where he sat. "No, no..." he said nervously, waving both hands in front of him to emphasize his rejection. He took notice of her hand, grabbing onto it and standing up instantly. Now that he was on his two feet again, he looked around, taking in the endless blue sky which got darker with each passing moment. It would be night soon, but he didn't seem to care about that. It appeared he hadn't dreamt the guild's success, after all. There was no Sandor, and that meant..... no. This was a happy moment for everyone. He would not think about it today, for today was a joyous occasion. With his hand clasped onto Galystris', Altheron gazed around them, seeing the small, happy gathering at a fire nearby. He turned his attention back to the girl, another smile tugging at his mouth. "So, we really did do it, huh?" he asked.

It's almost too good to be true." She said with an almost wistful smile. "but everything's back to normal...everyone's safe...." she shook her head. "S-sorry. I'm talking too much." Her almost cooed expression from before appeared in her face once again she hoisted him up to the best of her ability. "Do you need any help getting back?" She inquired politely. she wasnt exaclty all that good at handling people who are injured--or people she just found passed out on the ground for that matter, so although he seemed to be well, she was stool worried.

"...Ok, I guess..." His voice trailed off, carrying an air of indecisiveness. It was like Manasa back in the Tairaga battle: it couldn't really be helped. He fidgeted nervously before finally making a decision. "Let me or anyone else know if you need help, I guess..." He sheepishly replied, scampering off to meet the others. Rezza gave a short grunt in response, silently cursing himself as he was now left to do this on his own. Slowly he struggled to push himself off the ground once more, letting tears fall from his eyes. 'Surely anyone else would have no problem, right? They always simply dust themselves off and keep moving, right? No one survives by standing still.. And no one survives by laying around weakly, making others do everything for them. You have to get up. Unless this is it, you're going to just admit that you are weak. That everyone was right and you only made it this long by depending solely on the work of everyone else.' His tone wavered greatly as he attempted to scold himself. One moment stern and harsh, the next complete uncertainty; his mind fought the mix of conflicting directions it was now being pulled in as his body struggled to even lift itself a few inches from the ground. Slowly he brought himself to his feet stumbling forward a few feet before regaining his balance. Now back on his feet Rezza made his way, looking for his stuff. A sigh escaped his mouth as his eyes fell upon the glint of his staff. Hunched over Rezza approached his belongings at a slow pace, each step painful and deliberate. "There you are." The healer muttered to himself as he dropped to his knees and reached his hands out. The first object he retrieved was his staff; which he slid, as swiftly as he could manage, onto his back. He gave the beaded string a small tug before lifting his belt off the ground and fastening it to his waist. Next he turned his attention to his bag. Grasping the strings keeping it closed Rezza dragged the bag closer and opened it, stuffing his now dirty shawl inside. With all of his stuff now back in his possession he tied the bag to his belt and attempted to stand, only to find he was now to heavy for his legs to lift. Once more, he tried to bring himself off the ground, the extra weight of his pouch and bag making this difficult. The muscles in his legs began to burn as they strained against it. He had managed to get himself standing, and felt a small amount of accomplishment. Though it was hard he had managed to push away from the earth. All of this was lost, however, as he lifted his foot to turn and walk towards the groups location. The sudden imbalance sent the small man toppling forward. As he lay face first in the dirt sobs began to wrack his body. 'I can't do it.' Slowly he lifted his head. 'I can't do THIS.' His arms shook as he pushed away from the ground, bringing himself to a sitting position. 'I give up, I can't be strong. I... Not like everyone else...' As these thoughts came to him, Rezza brought his hands to his face, covering it from the world, and let out a cry of anguish. Shouting briefly before letting himself fall back to the ground lifelessly. ((so more extra shit yay)) so i redrew the two images i liked most, giving them more than just an hour of effort and um here are "rez25" and "rez29-2" but drawn well this is actually more what i had envisioned with this scene, the light being very bright and all that. so initially i thought that i should make his jaw bruised as it had been broken but decided against it. this time however i included bruises and attempted to make it appear slightly swollen. also bruises are fun. This is Rezza at age 50, ten years older than the image in his ending post, and his protege/basically adopted son Acoou Light at age 20. I have a small thing planned that will show also how he looks at an older age but yknow thats for later. also thought this one over and im including it basically im trash and actually like designing this type'a thing oopy ALSO here is a not very good summary i did of the story. I went entirely from memory and included what i felt was notable (it worked out really well obviously thats why its so long even with me excluding a few things) save for checking proper names and titles as well as a small check on Hikakus letters. Was gonna include some back story stuff but i got kinda tired of writing the first part even tho the seconds DONE and the final part has been started so ill get to that later.

Altheron almost full-on blushed at the sight of Galystris' smile, but was immediately stopped from fulfilling this reaction at the mention of his performance during the last battle. His eyes strayed to the ground in embarrassment. Had she really seen him fight back there? If so, she must've been lying right now. If anything, the best thing he did was land. Still, the mage's words comforted him, and he shook the worry out of his system and assumed his usual childish composure again just as her face hardened once more. With every passing second he seem to grow more and more overjoyed once he accepted her words as the truth. They really did it. The Shadow Slayers restored peace onto the world. Sure, it was still hard to believe, but there was no bringing him off of this high. "YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!" he screamed as he wrapped his arms around Galystris. " I am so happy!!!!!!!!!"

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!" he screamed as he wrapped his arms around Galystris. " I am so happy!!!!!!!!!" Galystris' face tinged pink. Oh gods, she wasn't used to this at all. She wasn't used to physical contact of most kinds, much less being hugged Hell, she probably hadn't been hugged since before the first fearen attack. With shaky hands, she patted his back. "Mhmm, I am too..." She still wasn't entirely sure what to do, as it was evident she and the social skills of a rusty fork. The embrace was sort of comforting, though. It felt when she was younger, when she was allowed to feel, and love, and be open with her feelings...

It felt when she was younger, when she was allowed to feel, and love, and be open with her feelings... The hug lasted for about 10 seconds if Altheron could count time. When the embrace met its end, he smiled at Galystris, his hands now grasping both of her shoulders. Whether or not these were against the social skills he apparently lacked did not matter, for now was the time for hugs. Being not all too great at connecting his feelings with the language everyone else around him spoke, squeezing people had been his preferred method of self-expression. He´d do it all the time. People, animals, spirits, not even plants were safe. It was just his way of letting others know just how much he appreciated every single existence he encountered, and right now he really appreciated the ones before him. Before the night was over, he´d make sure he held anybody who so much as looked in his direction, even if they found it weird. It was just his strange little way of letting others know that they were loved. He looked past Galystris' flushed face and back to the campfire. Not everyone had been present, but that didn´t deter him one bit. He remembered the charred mage saying something about going back to them a bit earlier. ¨Let us go to them, then!¨ he shouted, letting go of her to grab his staff. Grabbing onto her hand once again, he made a beeline for the others, running in that same stupid manner again.

Before Kelemio was about to get an answer from Enoch, he hears the question from Osseus.
"Heheh, sure. I'm up for some."
Mimisko sees the Altheron is okay after the hell of a battle. She walks back to the campfire.
"Does anyone else want any cheppermint tea?" Mimisko offered
Kelemio tries his best not to laugh.
"I think everyone is good, Mimisko. That tea might be too chilly for some people!"
Kelemio took a deep breath and looks back at Osseus.
"So, what kinda stories you have there, buddy?"

Galystris ran after him, doing her best to keep up with is pace. After all if she tripped or slow down, she would probably knock him down or something else along those lines. “You’re really fast there, buddy.” she managed to say. She almost tripped over her own foot, muttering various curses as she did. Her balance wasn’t exactly the best ever when the ‘fight or flight’ reflex that tended to come with fighting evil gods of prophecy. Oh well, that’s that.

"So, what kinda stories you have there, buddy?" "Oh ho ho ho ho ho, I have a good one...." He cracked his knuckles, snickering maniacally as he faced Mimisko "This isn't for the faint hearted..." Then again, if he was going to tell this particular story, he'd have to abridge a few things. Telling it as-is would be too traumatic anyways. "So I was dicking around in a forest near a town, right? I was going over there to sell off some shit, because the people in those towns are like 'well ok fearen are here, law doesn't even matter'. So with that, what happened would have probably been commonplace. So anyways, I was walking around and this guy shows up and is all-" He cleared his throat to change octave, opting for a goofy voice for his captor. "'Hey kid want some candy?' I was like 'the fuck, no!' so this guy had another dude knock me out, and I woke up in this nasty ass building somewhere. Same guy kicks me in the face and picks me up by the neck, and he was looking at me like 'hey this piece of ass'll make us a shit load of money'. Then my hair fell back while he was holding me, and the guy found these babies!" He flicked his ears in a triumphant manner, remembering one of the few times his race actually helped him. "He was like 'what the fuck we can't have a halfie' So I took the opportunity to kick him in the balls and get the fuck out of there. And that was how I stopped myself from getting sold off to some creepy fuck." Osseus flashed a devlish grin before slumping a bit in his seat, still a little tired from the day's events. His features softened as he sighed, taking in the fresh air. "That's not even the beginning of the kind of shit I've been through. Now it's a matter of never getting involved in that shit again."

The two made it to the camp in mere seconds because of the shaman's new-found hyperness. Altheron had hardly been paying attention to Galystris' inability to catch up with him properly despite the fact that she'd been slowing him down a bit; his eye was locked on his next targets the entire way there, and now that they had reached their destination, he saw no reason to continue holding onto the extra weight. No, that'd get in the way of his next hug, one that would be pretty simple to accomplish given the person's size. Sure, he could've held onto her hand and just hug the little elf as a little group, but: 1) He never once saw Galystris participate in a group hug before (actually, there was a chance that the hug he gave was the first she may have had in years; she didn't respond the way he thought she would when the deed was done). 2) His little thief friend didn't seem to be all too keen on group hugs either. He vaguely remembered the elf purposefully standing away from the gathering back at the second victory campfire, later being pulled into it anyway by Ooro, someone the shaman had to find later. With those thoughts in mind, Altheron let go of the ice mage's hand a few feet away from Osseus, his first "target" in his little hugging spree. While he hadn't had too many interactions with the elf (some turned out kind of crummy and he never knew why), Altheron could tell by the way Osseus fought was a force to be reckoned with despite his size and cute face, and THAT deserved some form of appreciation. Throwing his staff to the ground, Altheron skittered over to Osseus and fell to his knees while the child was just finishing up a.... story? Oh, it didn't matter. Altheron didn't catch a word. Directly after the last words of the tale had been mumbled, Altheron quickly threw his arms around the child from behind and gave him a tight squeeze. "Osseus!" he yelled. "You did such a good job out there!" He pressed his face into the child's hair and nuzzled it, imitating the first interaction he had with him after the first battle ended, blissfully unaware of how any of his actions would elicit anything other than a positive response.

Mimisko thought to herself.
"Yikes....I wonder how he was able to obtain sanity after going through that..."
Kelemio laughed a bit
"Oh my fucking hell. That shit would get somebody insane! Man, a person that creep you have to go through would have to be executed in our old town-."
Mimisko and Kelemio are surpised to see this.
Mimisko said "Altheron! I know your very happy to see us but-"
"Oi!! Dude!" Kelemio spoke up "You picked the wrong time to hug!"
"That's not how this was susposed to be be phase, Kelemio." Mimisko mumbled.
