She barely paid any mind to the Avenaudi's actions, nor the voice in her head. Her head rang with an odd sound, but she barely understood the heavily accented words that replayed. She curled up in the tree to fall asleep when a large stone apparatus boomed in front of his face, the shouting that ensued being just as abrupt.
"Eh..." She groaned before rising up to trek to the inn. Her legs dragged across the dirt as she went to the inn, almost collapsing on the ground as she slumped in her chair. The dishes laid out on the table were paltry, to say the least. She tried to stifle her instincts by only devouring one slab of meat, but it proved worthless since she immediately grabbed for more before spotting a wild deer on the outside.
She held her finger up as if to say "one minute" to Freyja before heading out. She returned to the table with deer in hand before slamming it on the table and piercing its heart with her talon. She then tore the animal apart, eating every part without so much as flinching.

Myrri stood, frozen, as the world around them seemed to blink out of existence and was replaced by a strange new world. The ground far below seemed to be the skin of a great beast and the sky was dyed red and purple. While her comrades stood in horror, Myrri stood in wonder. It was beautiful. She had never dreamed of seeing a new dimensional plane, in fact, she had never really believed in gods as a whole. Taken over by a strange fascination, Myrri began walking forward, her gun falling to the floor. She reached the edge of the roof. She took one more step, but midway through her action she found the world had returned to normal. She was suddenly hit by the realization of what she was doing, leaped back from the edge, scrambling away from the drop that had almost sealed her doom. She stood up, only to hear Frayja's call. Myrri scooped up her gun and ran. She ran through the town in the direction of the inn. She ran from the tree. The tree that still seemed to be calling for her. She decided then and there that she wouldn't tell the others of the strangeness that had taken her over on the rooftop.

Well, that was it then. Time to start packing it in and head on their way soon enough, though hopefully they wouldn't be forced to sit at the table again. They weren't in the mood to sit around and look for excuses again. As Robin made their way over to the establishment, they could hear a low cry echo throughout the town. It sounded familiar, but perhaps they were just mistaking it for another...
Out of curiosity Robin decided to take a peek in the inn only to see a few others have made their way inside, but a particular face among them had been missing. They slipped out the room, listening closely for the sound once more. It was barely audible, but still present. Freyja strictly ordered the recruits not to stray into the center of town, and Robin had no intention to disobey. Freyja could knock them cold in one swing, they weren't about to test her fury. Carefully avoiding any sort of center, they sauntered through the desolate alleys listening for traces of the voice. Eventually, it drew closer, and as they turned the corner it could be heard inside the building. Taking a precaution, they drew their guns from their holsters, and slowly stepped inside the settlement as they peered around them.
A hunched figure could be spotted in the dimly lit room, and upon recognizing the creature, Robin lowered their weapons. "Uldrix?" it seems their suspicions were correct after all. "Why aren't you at the inn with the rest?"

"Why aren't you at the inn with the rest?" The strange weeping shriek that had been coming from Uldrix's beak immediately stopped once Robin's voice came through. Uldrix looked over his shoulder at the figure before backing away suddenly, whimpering. He was quiet for a long moment, still as could be. If one were to pass him by they could mistake him for a statue. Finally, after a long absence of sound, Uldrix spoke. "I don't know what is wrong with me." He whispered. He couldn't even read the hues floating near his face from his speech. It was far too conflicted for him to be able to process. "This isn't how I am. This isn't... me." The words seemed heavy, even if they weren't making sense. His head faced towards the floor, but his eyes moved up to focus on Robin. "I feel like I'm slipping away. I hate it, I hate it, I hate it!" He let out a shriek at the last repetition, turning towards the wall and scratching his talons rapidly across its surface, removing several wooden boards in the process. He turned away from Robin, breathing heavily but seeming to calm down a bit from the short outburst. "I'm scared. I'm not supposed to be scared." He whispered, his shoulders shaking. "What's happening..."

Freyja simply watched as the dragon walked out of the inn for a moment before coming back with an entire deer carcass, which she proceeded to devour in front of her. "Well uh....yeah, I guess you could just...do that." She said, a bit dumbfounded. Why the woman felt the need to hunt and kill a deer when there was food already prepared was beyond her, but she wouldn't judge. Freyja simply walked over to the small arrangement of food she had laid out, grabbed a bit of ham and sat down at the table, sipping her wine. She wasn't particularly hungry, as fear and confusion still consumed her mind due to the day's events, but she'd try to eat a little bit while she waited for the others to show up.

'We should.' She looked to Kyanalurin and Uldrix. 'You two coming?' She took her hands away from her face and grinned widely. "Yeah, I'm coming, don't worry~!" she caught up to rory and spica, with an expression which seemed to shut out the events prior. Rory glanced over at Kyana, nodding a little bit as they walked out of the town square, her wings folded up in front of her. The harpy was somewhat taken aback by the other girl's chipper demeanor after all that, but she wasn't about to question it. She was still trying to mentally process the whole situation herself, and her eyes fixated on her feathers vibrating gently from her quaking. Another voice snapped her out of her trance, and the girl quickly raised her head up to address it. With the few members that had been in front of her, she excused herself to say her name. "Ah, I'm sorry if this...inappropriate, but I needed to introduce myself. My name is Alluriae Tschvinat, an elf from the city of Ryuiton in northern Shakwen. I understand that we are looking very hard for the Heaven Spire, and I hope we can get along well." Rory quickly shook her head. "N-No I'm happy to get to meet a new team member! S-Sorry for running off, it's very nice to meet you Alluriae," she replied and smiled a little bit at the elven girl. As Freyja summoned them all to the inn, she stretched out her wing and lightly patted Alluriae's back, looking over to Spica and Kyanalurin. "Once we all get acquainted we should head to the inn, right? Alluriae can meet our fearsome leader Freyja," she grinned, attempting to push herself out of her current funk.

'Well, I wouldn't say fearsome. Bitter's more like it.' Spica grinned. She saw that there was an elf standing before them, and Spica grimaced that she'd yet again have more people to deal with.
'Alluriae, huh?' Spica looked her up and down. Military. Witches were generally against lodestone usage that fuelled violence and war, and seeing that this girl was likely to be involved wasn't exactly pleasing. Nevertheless, it was best to get to the inn before the old hag grew too suspicious. Not to mention that there were at the place she'd warned them so heavily too avoid. Spica wasn't looking to be picked up by the collar again.
'We can do this all later, let's pick up the pace.' She said, walking faster. 'It is late as it is.'

Murm trudged quietly towards the source of Freyja's call, the west she had stated. He found it surprising that the young girl he had been conversing with ran of quite suddenly, but that reaction wasn't all that new to him. After a bit of a walk he found the location they would be staying at. The tables were covered in a small assortment of foods, none of which particularly interested the healer, however seeing as the woman went to all the effort to set this up he would oblige. Taking small portions of each type that was available he grabbed himself a chair and slowly began to pick at his food. "I must commend you for putting this together, Freyja. Especially after such a battle." He called out to the woman with a very subdued, and polite tone to his voice.

"This isn't how I am." Robin had failed to comprehend just what Uldrix was referring to, yet the words seemed all too familiar to them. Actions without reason, or those one doesn't quite understand why one preformed them in the first place- often left the body feeling disconnected from the mind. It was almost like waking up from a dream, in a way.
Uldrix sunk his nails deep into the blanks in heated confusion, scraping and shredding the wood away as he continued his short-lived rampage before ultimately settling down once more. Whatever it was, it bothered him endlessly and tore at his thoughts as he trembled to himself. It was a somber sight to say the least, and while they weren't the best at consolation, they did have experience with losing oneself in some context. Robin inched closer, lowering themself slowly to take a seat next to the avenaudi. For a moment, they stayed silent.
"Well, what did happen? I'm not sure what you're talking about exactly..." their voice trailed off, before rising again, "But uh, I might be able to understand..." Robin twiddled their thumbs in their lap.

Alfie had mentioned a Freyja when they were looking for her. "Yes, of course!" She followed the small girl...a witch, she thought. "I'm very excited to be apart of this group! What's your name?"

Freyja scratched the back of her head and laughed, surprised that somebody was actually satisfied with something she had done. "Ahahah it was nothing, really! All I did was clean the old place up! Alfie provided the food. My uncle brought over a bag filled with the stuff! But thank you, Murm! I appreciate it!" She grinned at the man before continuing to drink her wine. Very few people had shown up, seeming as only Murm and Vera were in the room while Robin and Uldrix excused themselves. She didn't particularly care, she just wanted to avoid anyone prying to close to the center of town so having that entire group in one place was a much simpler option. "Welp, we're gonna get our gold tomorrow! Then we can all go our separate ways. Pretty easy job if you ask me" She chuckled as she took another sip of wine.

"Well, what did happen? I'm not sure what you're talking about exactly..." their voice trailed off, before rising again, "But uh, I might be able to understand..." Robin twiddled their thumbs in their lap. Uldrix plopped down on the floor, seeming to have tired himself out from the days events. He breathed out a sigh that hummed slightly, and the sound seemed to comfort him and bring him some clarity. "Fighting it what I exceed at." He stated flatly. "And yet I feel like...like I can't anymore." He huffed out the words painfully. "Something had changed. These emotions that are clouding my mind---they aren't mine. They don't belong. I was confronted with an enemy after the battle, and I was unable to attack them." He looked up at Robin, a pleading look in his eyes as he repeated the ideology he had shared earlier with Sparrow. "Enemies have to be struck down. Things are not good or bad on the battlefield. Killing is a necessity of war." As the words left Uldrix's beak, a new statement forcefully came to the forefront of his mind and he let out a small choking sound as though his own words were suffocating him. "T-There is is again." He stuttered, his talons digging into the floor. "They won't go away." He shook his head fiercely, taking in a deep breath as the pain started to subside. "I'm sorry for confusing you." He whispered to Robin. "I have no way of knowing what this is. If it's a sickness, a curse, I don't know. I was not raised with my people, I have no idea what kind of illnesses they carry." His voice got even quieter, as though only speaking to himself. "What kind of sickness turns someone into a coward?"

It was rather nice to see Freyja and Murm had been present, but then a sudden series of events took place. She held her finger up as if to say "one minute" to Freyja before heading out. She returned to the table with deer in hand before slamming it on the table and piercing its heart with her talon. She then tore the animal apart, eating every part without so much as flinching. Upon witnessing this, Limarah noticed something rather unsettling about this event. This dragon's prey wore antlers similar to Limarah's right antler. Was this the prey of the search party? Was the next meal standing near by? These were some of the thoughts Limarah considered.
As a response to this thought, Limarah put her weapon in front of this antler in attempts to hide her similarity with the dragon's prey. Limarah still attempted to smile even though she felt uneasy. Despite being capable of defending herself, she couldn't help to be afraid of anyone who may have been interested in devouring her. Who knows, perhaps she would get caught off guard while sleeping???

Albeit her understanding of Freyja's language was choppy at best, she could still pick up the hints of disgust and shock in her voice from her actions. If she really was an ifreet, her behavior would have been common knowledge. She quickly went back to gnawing on the leg, still embarrassed at the ordeal. After a bit, her mood went into a neutral state, albeit that would have been completely ruined by the presence of another person. Great. Brilliant. Vera immediately let the bone in her mouth drop to the table as she caught the large woman's face. With the most deadpan expression possible considering the situation, she looked the deer woman dead in the eye as said: "What?" The draconid's face warped into one of self disgust after saying that, quickly digging her face in her hands as she realized exactly why her decision was one of ignorance. Hell, it was visible from the view of the inn. It would be easy to just fly over there, without having to face all these stupid monsters and these judgmental people. She hug her head low, trying to stifle noises of distress.

Kyanalurin headed over to the inn, ready to have a bit of a relaxing time, maybe get to know the locals, see who's the easiest to manipulate.
She opened the door. "Howdy everyone! I'm he--" She held her finger up as if to say "one minute" to Freyja before heading out. She returned to the table with deer in hand before slamming it on the table and piercing its heart with her talon. She then tore the animal apart, eating every part without so much as flinching. What the everloving hell is she doing?!She didn't finish her sentence, as she unintentionally cut herself off from sheer shock. "Er....." Her face was distorted with a scared look, but she still kept smiling. "Y-Yep! I'm here now! D-Didja miss me?"
