Robin nodded as Uldrix swayed to reveal his lodestone. It was one of the sound types- how fitting. While they had always been interested in them; they didn't have the creativity to use one, nor the funds.
A light chuckle emitted from underneath, as though they were somewhat entertained by the thought. Truthfully, Robin probably made little sense to most people, and yet one claimed that out everything that seemed clear to them- they were the easiest to understand. Avenaudi proved themselves to be a fascinating race, and they definitely appeared more genuine than most they came across. Their cheeks flushed from beneath the cover, they really hadn't been used to been spoken to in such a manner.
Together? Their eyes narrowed as the thought struck them. People were hard to work with, and harder to trust. Yet, Uldrix was an avenaudi, perhaps it is because they both faced similar hardships that they could speak to one another honestly. It was difficult to tell, and if the creature intended to sell them out- they could definitely gain their wealth. Then again, he'd likely have to be imprinted on whoever sought them for that to happen, and by the looks of it he was fixed on Sparrow. It might have been worth a shot to attempt a bond...
"N-no," they shook their head, "It's okay. I'm not good with talking either. I, uh... would like that." Robin began to struggle as they went to stand, seemingly leaning against the wall as they drew themselves to their feet. They stayed silent as they did this, before finally speaking again, "We should probably head back to the inn before Freyja starts wondering where we ran off. Are you ready?" They outstretched their hand as to offer him help to stand, before drawing it back as they realized he most likely wouldn't see it.

They outstretched their hand as to offer him help to stand, before drawing it back as they realized he most likely wouldn't see it. Uldrix let out another short purr, seeming satisfied with Robin's reaction, before righting himself and rather gracefully returning to his feet. "Yes, I suppose it is time to head back." He realized Sparrow would be there and fear seized him once more, but he tried to bury this feeling as best he could. He looked towards the area the inn was in and started to walk towards it, but stopped when he noticed negative hues coming from the place. "I think something is wrong." He warned Robin, before continuing warily in the direction of the group.

"I-I... I heard this voice saying they were at the tree and after a new teammate arrived I thought maybe someone else had arrived too, s-so I went to go check." Tears already pricked in her eyes, and the harpy gulped as she tried to keep her voice calm and level. "Well a few others heard it too... and when I touched down in the square the tree opened its eyes and was staring straight at Uldrix. This kid was standing right behind him too, who seemed to be looking for friends." "The kid said his name was Vaalzys and that his dad was Zil'Carm. I..." She laughed a little half-heartedly through her sniffles. "It sounds so crazy when I say it now. But..." Her voice grew serious again. "Kyanalurin tried to run away, and he made one of the roots of the tree block her from escaping and he also looked... strange. I believed him. When Uldrix started to get hostile I thought Vaalzys was gonna hurt him, so I was nice to him. He kept asking if we were his friends, so I-I thought maybe he was lonely or bored. Just talking kindly to him seemed to work, at first. He was content until he wanted to play a game..." She shivered, and her voice began to waver fearfully, body quaking harder as images of what she'd seen flashed across the mind. " 'Mortals', h-he said that the mortals and immortals play-fight, that he'd go 'easy' on us, and then the world just started... turning into a new one. T-The sky was all purple and red, and the floor was made of skin. I-I've.. never been so scared in my whole life. His dad apparently arrived so he had to leave thank goodness, and everything returned to normal. But, before he left he said," A sick chill ran down her spine when she thought about it, the harpy mimicking the same tone of voice the kid had. " 'We'll play later tho ugh! I promise!' He said that and vanished. Freyja..." she swallowed and stared at the ground, the guilt weighing heavily on her. "I-I'm so sorry, I should've listened to you..." "Sssh ssh, it's okay." Freyja brought Rory in for a hug, trying to comfort the shaking woman. "I'm not mad, it's okay." She spoke in a hushed tone, trying to make sure she kept everything else calm, in an attempt to keep any of them from going into shock from such a traumatic experience. "I heard the voice too, I understand..I'm not mad at any of you. You're safe, okay? I promise." She stroked the girl's back, trying to calm her nerves to the best of her abilities. She let go of the harpy when Spica asked her question, the woman's fave still somber and full of sympathy. Thank the Gods Spica wasn't trying to agitate anything further, as Freyja could feel herself going into shock as well. "That tree.. The Tree of Zil'Carm, is the only known place on the planet that is in constant contact with the world of The Aged. I'm sure you're aware of what they are, yes? If not, they are all powerful beings, unstoppable forces, unimaginable terrors....they are Gods, in every sense of the word, and it just so happens that a few of you met their child. Vaalzys, Orphan of the Cosmos...... Vaalzys is known in legend to...." She gulped, the very thought chilling her down to the bone "He's known to beckon people to the world of the Aged, and....'play' with them, whether he knows the implications of his games or not..... Anyone who enters that world........they've never returned..." Freyja scratched the back of her head as she racked her mind to remember what the eyes did. "From what I remember, the eyes are the tree's fruit. If you eat them, you'll gain the knowledge of The Aged. That kind of knowledge drives any mortal being insane. There's not a single person who can handle their thoughts..... I'm so glad you're all safe. You're all going to be okay...I promise. If Vaalzys DOES show up again, I'll try reasoning with him....I don't want you having to go through any of that again....it can truly weigh down on a person..." She smiled softly to each of the search party members. "You should relax now, everythings gonna be okay.." Freyja smiled her cocky smile and motioned to herself "Big, bad, bounty hunter Freyja is here to protect you all!" She spoke with her most confident tone, in an attempt to mask the absolute terror she was feeling. She couldn't let them know that she was afraid, she had to be strong for the group.

Robin raised an eyebrow at the statement, but kept one hand on their holster accordingly. They weren't exactly sure of the context wrong had been applied, though it was better to be safe than sorry. They inched in the doorway, taking a peek around the corner in case Uldrix had implied a sort of danger, but it didn't seem like a particularly fatal situation. They strolled into the room completely now to scope out the scene. Rory had been trembling, and while Freyja had her eyebrows ferociously furrowed just a moment ago, she pulled the feathered woman into an embrace as to calm her down.
Oh. So it happened to be that a few out of the bunched strayed to the center of town to be apparently met with a rather morbid "tree." They shuddered at the statement pertaining to the supposed fruit of the tree. For once, they were grateful for never having much of an appetite. Vaalzys hadn't sounded like such a pleasant character either, if he made his rounds again they could land in deep trouble for sure. Freyja wore a rather goofy grin, but was she really enough to stop a child of the gods? For their sake, they hoped so.

Uldrix slid into the room, catching most of what Freyja had said about the tree and the star-child. Although a part of him scoffed at the idea of 'gods', he couldn't yet find another reasonable explanation about what had happened back at the center of town, and the peculiar insides the boy had carried.
Not wanting to disrupt things, Uldrix opted to avoid his usual tactic of screeching to observed his surroundings, and instead felt along the wall and watched the vitals of those around him to try and best gauge where things were. He noted the ticking watch Sparrow carried and did his absolute best to ignore the sound, though he wanted immediately to rush over and coddle the creature in a very un-avenaudi like way. He snarled at the thought.
Having reached a relatively empty part of the room, Uldrix laid down on the floor, folding his limbs under his torso and leaning against the nearest wall. He licked at his left elbow, the burns on his back also bothering him. He stretched out his tongue a good foot from his beak and tapped one of the buttons on his collar.
"79%". He scrunched up his snout. It would take awhile for him to be at full fighting capacity again. He hoped nothing more would happen that would require him to fight for the time being.

"Sssh ssh, it's okay." Freyja brought Rory in for a hug, trying to comfort the shaking woman. "I'm not mad, it's okay." Kyanalurin stood up from her bowing position. What trauma she had expirienced was wiped from her head--well, not permanately. She was thinking of something else. How pathetic...It's hilarious how people older than me have to be comforted like a child.
She had to keep herself from laughing. It was an amusing display. You all need to suck it up. You didn't join this group expecting it to be easy, did you? Weaklings.
She quickly retained a worried expression. "I'm glad we have you here, Ms.Freyja!" she said to the leader. She shot everyone a wide smile. "Don't worry guys, we'll be safe and sound~!"

It took a while for Monaiya to take the noodles out her ears. Once she took them out, she was finally able to hear again but she missed everything that happened.
"Ah, crap, what a waste of food. And I think I may use these for a candle later on." she mumbles
Monaiya, being oblivious, heard that. She didn't know what was happening. She whispered to herself.
"Huh, hopefully... Kyanalurin, is it??? Anyways, I hope she's right about us being safe and sound."
She blurted out
"Well, I'm sure we know that we'll be safe for next time! Hopefully there's not gonna be any more trouble that will have food come out of my ears again. I just got the wax sucked out of my ears."

Once the rest of the group made their way to the inn, the night went relatively smoothly. Everyone was caught up in excitement over what they would do with their reward money once they received it tomorrow. Freyja grinned as she listened to the group chatter away, and part of her knew she'd miss this kind of company, even if only slightly. As night fell, peace washed over the group as they retired to their rooms, sleeping their worries away. As dawn came, Freyja was up and ready, preparing herself for whatever may be coming next. She stepped outside the inn before any of the others had awoken, and noticed the weather was extremely cloudy. It was odd for this time of year, as it appeared that a storm was about to roll in, but she paid it no mind and woke the rest of the search party up. Today was the day they finally left to Heaven's Spire, the fabled tower that few people have seen with their own eyes, and even fewer have ventured inside. Once Freyja woke up the less cooperative members of the search party, they ate whatever food was left over from the night before and set out towards the tower. The trek through the forest was relatively easy, as it seemed the beast from before had knocked over quite a few trees which cleared an easy path straight to the spire. Upon leaving the woods, Freyja's eyes widened at the sight. The forest had opened up to an enormous field, filled with colossal gravestones standing at least 20 feet tall, with very little lodestone growths in sight. It appeared the tower had positioned itself in a Giant's Graveyard. Freyja had never seen such a spectacle up close, as many people believed giants were a myth, given the race's near extinction. And amongst this graveyard stood Heaven's Spire, towering at nearly 300 feet in height. Of course, it wasn't going to be as easy as it seemed. AS the group set foot into the field, the earth shook as hundreds upon thousands of lodestone beasts emerged from the ground, ready to protect this tower. Freyja scowled at the sight. "Of course these things showed up." Droplets slowly began to fall from the sky, as a light rain swept the area. Freyja turned to the group, preparing to act as a leader should. "Alright, here's the plan. We need to get inside the tower as quickly as possible and try and put a stop to whatever made it disappear. We need to clear the area as quickly as we can, before that tower disappears again. We're gonna take out as many of those lodestone beasts as possible, and when theirs a clear path that can get us to the tower, I want Kyana, Robin and Myrri to shoot into the sky. That's the signal for when Rory, Spica, Uldrix and I will bust down the tower walls if we have to. From there, everyone will get inside the tower and we'll stop whatever is causing it to vanish, understood?" She nodded to the group before turning towards the horde of enemies that had already begun to charge. "SEARCH PARTY!! ATTACK!!"Main Objective
Fight through the hordes of enemies and enact Freyja's plan. (I will announce when Myrri, Robin and Kyanalurin can give the signal. Until then, focus on the fight) The Enemies: (They are all currently glowing yellow, which signifies lightning abilities)

Uldrix screeched, getting an idea of the surrounding enemies. There were ones he didn't recognize from the previous fight, and he anxiously lowered himself to all fours before moving forward quickly to strike one of the grunts. "Killing is bad." Uldrix came to a sudden halt, inches away from one of the lodestone beasts. He growled in frustration as his talons shook, unable to finish the blow he had been about to deal. The grunt, however, took the opportunity to attack. Despite the grunt being the slowest of the creatures, Uldrix was unable to avoid it in his frozen state, and he was struck by a bolt of lightening that stopped one of his three hearts. He screeched in pain, scampering away before pounding heavily on his chest. The third heart came back, weakly, and he wheezed out an unnatural sounding cough. "68%". Uldrix scraped his talons against the ground in rage. This imprint would be the death of him. He had to find a way to attack properly. He looked back at the vitals of his teammates, focusing in on Murm, the healer. Right now he could use any help he could get, and surely the passive man could use some protection. Protection...The thought of a teammate getting hurt flared something within him, and he bolted towards the healer, easily striking down a few enemies that got in his path. When he reached the taller man, he purred lightly, having realized a way to be of use once more. If he was being helpful to someone else, he could fight once more. "I am here to help you." He said to Murm, leaning down and gesturing with his beak. "Get on. Staying in one place is foolish." (( Miki Sayaka))

Myrri nodded as Fryja shouted a last minute battle plan. That worked for her. Freyja gave the shout to attack and Myrri charged headlong into the fray. She leaped behind a rouge lodestone beast and slammed her blaster into the fragile outer shell, shattering it. The creature wailed in pain and collapsed. As Myrri stepped away from it, it suddenly occurred to her that she needed to help the team. Some of the members didn't have the best fighting capabilities and wouldn't be able to defend themselves. I glanced over at Murm, but saw that Uldrix was already approaching him. The giant sound lizard should be plenty of protection. Next she looked at Rory, trying to see if the harpy needed help or if she could stand her own in this fight.

More crystal beings appeared, and once more did the guild clashed against them. Sparrow's body quivered as he watched the violence unfold around him, contemplating Freyja's demands. Eventually, he came to a single thought which repeated in his head over and over. 'How can I help my friends without hurting people.' The thought played in his head as well as words given to him by other members, the conclusion not being an easy one.

The ground shaking almost made Alluriae lose balance, but she couldn't let herself be vulnerable. The elements of the giants were worrying. Lightening? Fire and lightening? Would that be dangerous to others if the two collided? They're both unpredictable...Alluriae shook her head. She would follow the main objective. She summoned two flames out of her hands, and shot them. Hopefully she wouldn't get winded too quickly.

"SEARCH PARTY!! ATTACK!!"
Kyanalurin nodded lightly, and charged immediately after Freyja gave the command. Ah, responsibility. This was going to be pleasant. She hoped to the gods she wouldn’t screw up. She electrically charged her gauntlet and a hit to the face to a nearby enemy, smirking as she saw it recoil at the shock. It wobbled in it’s place but charged back at her once again. The Grunt swung its arm, and the attack knocked Kyanalurin back a little bit, and would probably bruise her size It prepared another attack, but missed her, and this made it vulnerable to her attacks. Kyanalurin grabbed it by what almost seemed like it’s eye, and sent a shock directly into it’s head, causing it to fall on it’s back--unmoving. She laughed to herself at it’s fall, but taking a moment to pause didn’t serve her well. Two grunts and a rouge had surrounded her, but she simply smirked. She was gonna survive another day, and dance on these thing’s corpses. “Think again, idiots” she said with a dangerous sharpness in her tone. She sent a wave of electricity towards her enemies, knocking the two grunts on their backs She spun around and sent an electricity bolt towards the rogue, which it dodged. She grimaced and charged at it, trying to punch the beast with her electrically charged gauntlet multiple times, it dodging every one until the end. She landed one on it’s face, and another on it’s chest, the rogue falling down quickly, the life knocked out of it. The two grunts had gotten back up and come up behind her, and knocked her over. “God damn you!” she yelled in reaction. She stood up, barely managing to avoid the attacks of the grunts. Kyanalurin jumped behind one of them, and grabbed it by it’s eye once again, as that seemed to work last time. She sent a shock to it once agian, causing it to be temporarily incapacitated. The other grunt, however, had charged at her and knocked her on her back. She gasped at the impact, and out of sheer anger shot an electricity bolt at it.. It hit, but the two grunts were not dead. Well, shit.

Myrri spun back around and her eyes alighted on Kayana, the oddly cheerful girl. She saw her get pushed down and leaped foreword, trying to reach her before she suffered serious, or even fatal, damage. As Myrri approached, she spun the dial quickly, landing on mana deplete. She leaped into the air and slammed into the grunt closest to her ally. She winced as she collided with the rock-hard skin the beast stumbled and fell, momentarily defeated. Landing hard on the ground next to Kayana, she fired the gun into the eye of the now furious second grunt. It roared and swung its fist down at the same time that the bast shot up. The blast slammed into its fist head-on, shattering the arm and sending earthen shards everywhere. Myrri winced as a shard stabbed her in the lower leg. Pain had to wait. The mana drain blast sucked the life out of the monster and the broken husk fell to the ground. Myrri winced as she felt her own mana levels fall sharply. She turned to Kayana, 'A-are you alright?' She stammered, struggling to her feet. ((Emily))

"Not again!" Alanis stumbled into the fight, doing her best to keep away from the creatures only to inevitably find herself completely surrounded. At least seven of the fiends were closing in on her when a powerful gust of wind swept out of the treeline and swirled around her. A flash of red ran the course of the windstream, and just like that all seven enemies fell dead around Alanis with deep cuts through their bodies.
"Hah! Take that!" she cheered. Then moving to safety, she tripped over one of the corpses and fell hard on the ground, wasting enough time to be nearly surrounded again. "Hell!" she cursed, struggling to get up.
