Less and less these days, but I suppose I could be considered a gamer of some kind. Lately I haven't done much apart from the occasional MineCraft venture, but otherwise I'm a fan of open world games, and especially RPGs. Zombies are pretty fun in general, and FPS is usually enjoyable. I'll play pretty much anything.

I have been out of them since the PS3, but I am steadily trying to get back into them. It's just hard since I never seem to find any I can really get sucked into, like I used to with Suikoden, Lunar, RPGs like that. I do like Skyrim and Dragon's Dogma though. Right now I'm pretty hooked on this little mobile game called Brave Frontier. I downloaded it to just have more to do on my tablet, but I've been logging in as part of a morning routine... XD

You of course already know, but for the sake of the thread....
I play games, various types though I stick closely to RPGs. Though I have been playing GTAV/Online, it's become quite disappointing. Other games I've been playing recently have been Dragon's Dogma as well, though I also like Skyrim. My favorite though, that game would be Ar Tonelico: Melody of Elemia.

I wish I had more time to indulge myself in the world of video games, but I don't really have much time anymore. I've also been known to stop a game before I finish, I guess it just doesn't hold my attention. But right now, I just play those mindless ipad games whenever I'm bored and lazy (Which is quite often, to be honest).
In the future, I want to purchase a ps3 and/or a ps4 (Is that backwards compatible?) I have a long list of games I want to play. I really want to play the Metal Gear Solid series. Grand Theft Auto, The Last of Us, the Walking Dead game, Red Dead Redemption, Bioshock, etc. I guess I could borrow my brother's xbox and get into some Halo and Fallout, but I haven't bothered asking.
I had a NES for awhile that I would play, but it broke, which made me really upset. But I found ******.com, so I can play just about any NES game I want online for free. I play Punch-Out at school a lot. Some of the teachers get really excited that I know what it is. lol

I really like video games, but since my time is limited now I don't play a lot anymore, but I like to when I can. My favorite always cycles between what I play most recently it seems. As right now, Katamari Damacy/ We Love Katamari is seriously so fun so it's my current favorite. However if we're talking overall, I really like the dot hack series Legend of the Twilight (though I never finished it urghh), Shadow of the Colossus, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. That's about it for my favorites though pffft.... I really liked Pikmin but never finished it after my younger brother saved over my progress some years back haha.

I love video games, though I'm not the best at them. Animal Crossing, Sims, and pretty much anything Pokémon are some of my favorites. Though I also enjoy stuff like Harvest Moon, Kingdom Hearts, and some others that are slipping my mind. I've meaning to get into Legend of Zelda for awhile now but haven't yet since I'm not sure where to even start.

I've meaning to get into Legend of Zelda for awhile now but haven't yet since I'm not sure where to even start. When in doubt I always think it's best to start at the beginning. Namely because it can be hard to go play the older games after playing the newer streamlined entries. Oh, also, I do suppose I can safely say that I've been playing games for 20 years as of 2014.

I love video games but never have time to play them! JRPGs are definitely my thing, but I'm thinking about getting an XBox 360 to play Dark Souls 1 and 2. My favorites are Suikoden (I, II, III), the Tales series (Xillia, Eternia, Symphonia, Vesperia), Zelda (MM, OoT, TP, Oracle), Pokemon (all of them except B2/W2 and X/Y), the Mother series, the Mario & Luigi series (Bowser's Inside Story, Superstar Saga) and the Paper Mario series (except _Sticker Star_ oh my god)
Favorite game of all time would have to be Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door though. It was the first game I got when I moved to New York and the first game I beat on my own besides Earthbound on the SNES and I still even today love the characters and the art style and everything about it ;;
I still have yet to play a single Final Fantasy or Fire Emblem game though. One day. One. Day.

I've meaning to get into Legend of Zelda for awhile now but haven't yet since I'm not sure where to even start. With Zelda there's a couple places you could start. There's the beginning like Phoenix suggested, however Zelda and Zelda II (the first two games) are _HARD_. Zelda II is the most widely hated game in the franchise, and it uses a bizarre side scrolling screen not used in any other Zelda game. I don't know if I would suggest start from the absolute beginning for a couple reasons, because Zelda 1 and 2 are at the tail end of one of the timelines, not at the beginning (while this so wouldn't matter 15-20 years ago, it's become an official Nintendo thing now), and because you might burn out and get a bad taste in your mouth from Zelda 2 especially. I couldn't finish it. Some people absolutely love it, but lots of people hate it. As much as it is the most overplayed Zelda game ever, I would personally start from Ocarina of Time. It is directly smack center of the Zelda chronology, and is where everything else branches from. You will understand everything going on in every other game because it's been basically laid out for you in Ocarina of Time, including what occurs in the prequels like Skyward Sword. Also, if you play the N64 version, it arguably has some of the worst graphics (they've aged TERRIBLY!), so you won't be disappointed by much else. (sorry I really love the Zelda franchise asdfasdf)

I'm not sure that I would call Zelda 1 hard, cryptic perhaps. Actually even Zelda II's difficulty curve plateaus somewhat early on (only to drastically increase during the endgame, but I digress). But yes I agree that someone new to the series would probably want to only toy around with Zelda II a bit before moving onto another game.
Also Majora's Mask is the best Zelda.

I think you just roll a ball around and it picks things up and gets bigger and bigger until you form a planet or something? Katamari as explained by someone who's never played it. I'm thinking about getting an XBox 360 to play Dark Souls 1 and 2. DARK SOULS. As frustrating as it can be at times, I absolutely love that game. I've put quite some time into it, and I suppose at some point when I'm playing video games again I'll have to go back and finish it. Haven't touched the second one yet, but I certainly intend to in the future. Kind of a far cry from JRPGs, though. o.O

Oh, I should also add my friend showed me this game called Town of Salem. It's an online computer game... not really the same as we're talking about... But it's really fun. It's kind of like a "Who done it?" type of game. If you've ever played the Mafia party game with friends, that's what it is too. blankmediagames.com/TownOfSalem/Give it a try if you want. If you want to play with me, just send me a message.

DARK SOULS. As frustrating as it can be at times, I absolutely love that game. I've put quite some time into it, and I suppose at some point when I'm playing video games again I'll have to go back and finish it. Haven't touched the second one yet, but I certainly intend to in the future. Kind of a far cry from JRPGs, though. o.O Lmao I know right!? It sounds really interesting though, I've actually kept it as blind as I possibly could because I want to go in completely green and get the full experience. I've seen character creation on the second one, and heard one of the sound tracks, and then heard how difficult it was from a friend of mine and decided I would play it some day haha. Also Majora's Mask is the best Zelda. Yes, yes it is. Majora's Mask is freaking amazing, I really wish they'd make another game like that that used a different formula from the regular Zelda formula. Katamari Damacy I hear so much about this on Reddit. What exactly is it? What type of game? I used to see it in K-Mart for the PS2 and the cover art looked so bizarre. With the cows??? KATAMARI DAMACY <333 Omg I forgot about this one, so much nostalgia for me with this game. It's ridiculously bizarre. You are the son of the King of All Cosmos, who tends to destroy the universe in one way or another usually by being stupid, so as the Prince, you need to roll up materials on Earth for the King to turn into new planets and stars. In the process, you roll up all sorts of creatures and buildings and people, which eventually get shot into the sky and turned into giant burning balls of gas It's a freaking blast though because it's so ridiculous with the amount of things you can roll up. I've heard of Town of Salem before from Youtube, I might look into it when I have some free time C:
