Florence opened and closed her robotic fist a few times, making sure it was fully functional, before dropping it to her side and letting out a long, pained sigh. She'd already lost somebody on her team, one of the few people who hadn't shown any sort of hesitation to her attitude in a long time. She frowned and looked over towards the garden where her six mana canisters were positioned. Each glass tube had filled about an eighth of the way, rather surprisingly. They usually took much longer, although the reason behind it could be chalked up to the school being focused in magic after all.
She looked up towards the sky, the fog surrounding the city seeming to have faded, even if only slightly. Florence could make out the silhouette of dark storm clouds, which was exceedingly strange considering the sun seemed to shine through them as though they weren't even there. She pulled out the journal from her bag and began writing down the oddity in the sky before returning the book to her satchel and heading back inside.
The first thing she took note of was Pippin and Vervain seeming to get along, to which a light smile dawned on her face. Quincy still seemed to be having a breakdown, her arms now completely covered in fur. She frowned, knowing all too well what could be to come if they couldn't find any sort of cure for this beastly sickness. She looked around the room a bit more until she spotted Eliza, seemingly lost in some sort of worried trance.
Florence approached the girl, placing her robotic hand on Eliza's shoulder and leaning over to get a better look at her face. "Uh, hey... you alright?" She asked. "We might wanna, uh... y'know... help Quincy out. She's looks like she's kinda.... losin' it." Florence scratched the back of her head before removing her robotic hand from her teammate's shoulder. "But, uh.... if you're not up to it, I understand. I could probably help her out." She muttered.

"But, uh.... if you're not up to it, I understand. I could probably help her out." She muttered. Eliza jumped at the sudden touch being reminded of her surroundings once more. She bit her lip. Embarrassing. Her eyes met with the blonde's, almost appearing despondent at first before forcing a spark of life within her features. "Quincy?" she drew her eyebrows together, a puzzled expression crossing her face as her scattered thoughts tried to piece together the face that matched the name. "O-Oh. Yes..." Her glimpse of the poor girl was when she was charging towards the Captain in a frenzy with her new... "assets", flailing about. Truthfully, seeing Quincy's slow transformation after she had just done that was unnerving, and only served to cause a bigger stir in her stressed brain. It wasn't a result of Marsh's doing, but just of her own actions as a whole. "You're right," she nodded regardless, "Don't worry about me. Let's go to Quincy." With that, her feet started towards the desolate girl as she sat cradling herself as though she were a child. With every step, the hair on her arms grew more visible, more real to Eliza as she winced at the sight. In an attempt to ignore the newfound features as she approached, her pupils shot to the floor instead. However, a frantic gasp escaped her lips as the sight of scarlet was smeared across the pavement, leading up to Quincy herself as Eliza held her palm over her lips. She met an abrupt halt in her tracks, shutting her eyes tightly for a moment before peeking them open, only to realize- There was no red trail. A wave of relief washed over her, but alas confusion struck her mind. Had she imagined it? She shook her head; there wasn't a trace to be found. At least not in the manner she had seen the fluid lathered. Now's not the time. Florence had been following closely behind, there was no purpose instilling worry where none was needed. A trick of the mind was not something to fret about, after all. Eliza continued over to Quincy, observing as the girl clutched her pendant with pursed lips. "Hello..." her hand rubbed the back of her neck, admittedly a little lost on what to say. "I- we- uh, came to see you..." her hand gestured to the blonde behind. "May I sit near you?" her voice pleaded, taking care to not provoke the girl into a deeper state of distress.

She started to make a gesture for Eliza to move, but seeing her arm again in the light seemed to trigger her panic again. She folded her knees down to the ground and started scratching and tugging at the fur, as though trying to remove it. "I-It's alight---It's okay. S-See? I'm o-ok. I'm still good. I-I'm me, I'm ok." Her words went high and low in volume while staying at a stuttering fast speed. She didn't make eye contact with anyone as she continue to try and rip the hair off. "Get off---get off--it's okay, one moment---get off, get off!!--I'm ok, I'm really ok, I swear---off! Off--!" She couldn't even seem to get to the skin, and as her words continued the tears she thought she'd run out of were returning. "Off.....off...." She mumbled pathetically. Her shoulders slumped and her head hung low. She sniffled. "Sorry...I'm sorry.........please don't kill me.....I'm sorry........"

Jintama is looking through her stuff, finding some food that will help out the group. It's the least she could do. And...... Well, fuck.
Jintama only has sour fruit such as Green Apples, Limes, and Grape that will benefit her powers. Shit.... Well, maybe they will be good for a food source? She looked around and see what was going on with Quincy. At the moment, Jintama did felt a good amount of guilt from what she did earlier. W ay the fucking go, you jackass. You're no better than your friend, Hipayo. She slightly banged her head against the wall. "Jintama, you fucking moron..." She silently muttered to herself. She is pretty lost on what to do. This is probably what happens if you don't have any healing properties...

After taking the concoction that Pippin had made for him, the dull ache in his hip immediately started to soothe. "That feels heavenly. Thank you, Pippin." As the attention of the other's was diverted away to Quincy - who Vervain thought could really use a healthy dose of friendly compassion - he made his way over to Jintama. She'd been away from the group for a while now. She appeared to be having difficulty approaching the other people in the group. He could tell that she had trouble making friends, and her... attitude didn't really help either. "Jintama, you fucking moron..." She silently muttered to herself. She is pretty lost on what to do. This is probably what happens if you don't have any healing properties... As he got closer, he overheard the last bit of what Jintama had just said. Oh? As far as he was aware, Jintama was a magic user capable of presuming lightning based attacks. Lightning, as wild and unpredictable as it is, certainly does more harm than it does good. But there are a myriad of other uses for lightning that could both benefit her and those around her. Perhaps Vervain would impart some of his knowledge when the time was right. "Hello, Jintama. Are you sharing those?" He asked, gesturing to the array of green fruits Jintama had assembled.

Anyways, Jintama nodded at his question and hand him one of the green apples. "Uh.. Yeah. You can have some if you like." she spoken, a little bit flatly, while grabbing a lime. "I will warn ya, they are pretty sour. I only need them to regain all the energy I lost in any battle. This one included." Jintama took out a pokect knife from her skirt pocket and started pealing like an orange. Once that's once, she puts said device away and started to eat the lime. "Aww, so sour, yet refreshing." she looked back at Vervain "Anyways, you can help yourself to some more. That is, if you wanted to."

"Yerwelcome..." Pippin said, slinking into his comparatively chair. Once Vervain left the goblin to his lonesome his ears perked up and he began to sort through his collection once more, grouping things together and mumbling softly to himself. A lot of his ingredients could be combined into bases now, and those that didn't needed to be dried before they withered and died off before being of use. Of course, the goblin could always just make assumptions about what would be needed... but what if he ended up using one of his rarer plants in a medicine that ended up not being useful? Pippin grumbled, scratching his head with both hands.
Pippin looked over towards Quincy, who had now gathered a small group around her. "Stay out of it..." the goblin told himself as he then forced himself to focus back on his work, though it wasn't coming as smoothly as originally intended.

"You're okay. Don't worry." Florende knelt down in front of the girl, a warm smile on her face. "We're gonna get you help and get whatever is inflicting you out! We won't let you turn into a beast!" She spoke confidently, despite her words being hollow promises. Florence had seen it all too often in the past week. Civilians only showing partial signs of sickness, whether it be a tuff of fur on their arms or feet, an extra eye popping up where it didn't belong, or any other abnormality. Unfortunately, they all inevitably transformed into the sickly creatures that plagued the city or.....disappeared, taken out by The Silver Eyes. The girl shuddered a bit, remembering a chilling day near the beginning of the scourge when a man was dragged out of his home, wailing for mercy as several people in silver masks did their best to silence him. The intensity of his emotion was enough to transform him in front of the King's secret service. Florence's blood ran cold with the recollection at what happened next, trying her best to block it out for the time being. The thought of the Silver Eyes, however, prompted Florence to look away from the girl for a moment and around the room once more. At the very top of the stairway, in the archway of one of the halls, a figure slunk away into the darkness. The gunslinger tried her best to convince herself it was just one of the students Gwynolis had mentioned, but knew all too well that that wasn't the case. A sudden thought popped into her head, the girl smiling and turning back to Quincy. "OH! I know! The elected official in the Iommu District! Father Connelly! I heard people saying he's been curing people of the sickness! I bet he can help you!" She exclaimed, excitedly. "You're gonna be fine!!"

Her panic had died a bit at the promise that things would be alright, that she'd be saved from this. She placed her hands in her lap and waited as Florence continued to speak. "Father Connelly?" The name did not strike her as familiar, but she didn't know many outside of her own elite circle. But she trusted Florence. Florence had saved her... "O-Okay. That's fine."

But when I was throwing these fliers everywhere in the Iommu district, I saw people lining up at his manor, saying that he has the power to heal them! He'll be able to help for sure!" Florence proclaimed as she placed both her hands on her hips. "Its settled then! The next district we move to is the Iommu district! That is.... once we all have some down time.. hehe.." She chuckled as her knees began shaking beneath her due to the battle prior. She collapsed back down onto the floor, letting out a long sigh. "Yeah... everything will be fine." She chimed.

The Goblin's face broke into a smile as he eagerly turned to Florence, ready to gab with the woman about the priest and his familiarity with him before a shiver ran down Pippin's spin, several sequences of events running through his mind all of which unsavory. He couldn't meet up with the man not after what he did... "I-I wouldn't bother if I were you," Pippin interjected, scrambling his way between Florence and Quincy. "It's all... um... No good. I tell you. Nothing but trouble. Yeah..." His ears drooped low, combined with his quivering voice the whole act was rather pathetic and unconvincing.

Vervain, given his field of expertise, was very familiar with plants. He nodded when Jintama explained the reason why she carried perishables on her person. "Yes, in addition to providing energy, apples are quite good for ridding the body of toxins and speeding up natural recovery. They're also good for weight control. Some people call them the 'fruit of life'. He then held the apple up to his mouth, thanking Jintama for the fruit. "Oh bother-" Vervain said, the acidic juices of the apple filling his mouth. The absolute tartness of the fruit drew his eyebrows into a 'V' shape, his face scrunching up immediately. "Wow! That's probably the sourest thing I've ever had!" he said when he finally regained control over the muscles in his face. After Vervain finished the apple that was given to him, he gratefully accepted another from Jintama. "So," he said in-between bites, "What do you think of the group?"

She never really interacted with with each of them. Plus, her ineraction with Quincy was not too good. She shrugged. "In terms of personality, I can't really form an opinion just yet." she stated "But as of now, they seem like an interesting group of individules. Now as for them in the battle we just got out of...." Jintama looked at the rest of the group for the moment before looking down. "Not gonna lie, they put one hell of a fight. It's sad to see some people suffer or even worse, die." She glanced at what's going with Qunicy. "Kiiinda makes me feel a little guilty for being an ass earlier but I also have kinda a reason for my shit attitude."

She looked towards the ceiling as she began racking her mind for what day it had actually been, given it became harder and harder to tell with the sun locked into a single position. "The Iommu District was the last one I went through, and when I was there he looked all fine and dandy!! There were people crowded around his manor getting healed and everything! I wouldn't be surprised if the entire district were healed by now!" She boasted. "So don't you worry, bud! Everything will be a-ok!" She grinned.

Quincy's expression lifted at the possibility of being cured, falling momentarily as Pippin's hesitation had her lips twitching downwards once more, but then raising again to a smile when Florence proclaimed the goblin's fears were not needed. "If you think that will work..." She nodded her head slightly, rubbing her shoulder with one hand. "I-I'd like to try it. I'd like to be better again." And maybe her family could be too...maybe things weren't as hopeless as they seemed.
