Lan'ra had been rather occupied this fight. The beasts slowly began to close in on her. With a look of fear in her eyes she raised her hands above her head, muttering prayers. Her eyes turned completely yellow, the same color of the aura growing around her hands. The monsters around her were knocked back away from her. Some rammed into rocks and died, and others got back up and charged her way. She lifted the two beasts high into the air and let them drop. Hearing a cry of "We're almost there!" Increased her morale heavily. She kept her heavy breath at a nearly normal pace as she proceeded forward alongside her "team mates." She stood before a large basilisk, and fear attacked her like a knife to the stomach. She raised a shield to everybody who was near the same enemy she faced. She continued muttering prayers in an attempt to lift the beast up in the air as she did her enemies. But something if this concentration was hard to lift. Her failed attempts began to wear on her; before long she gave in and lifted up the corpses of the other beasts she had killed. Ignoring the guilt, and began beating the basilisk with them. The levitation was tiring her out quite a bit, avid she couldn't even look at where she was doing out of sheer guilt of using dead people and animals as weapons.

"H-help!..." he managed to yell, hoping someone could hear him. It just couldn't end this way. Not before he was sure his sister was safe. He couldn't just die. Dryn's cry for help carried along the wind, soon reaching Vervain's ears. Rushing to his aid as quickly as he could, Vervain witnessed a beastman attacking a young individual he hadn't noticed before. The jaws of the beast were but mere inches away from the man's throat, held back by a splintered broom stick. Vervain sent the Livingstone Daisies after the beast, first knocking it off of the boy before decapitating the beast as it lay facedown on the disheveled cobblestone. Running up to the boy, Vervain quickly scanned his body for any serious injuries. Not finding any, Vervain sat the boy up. "You're okay," he said. "You did well. My name is Vervain. Quickly, we have to get to the manor." He told the boy, offering him a hand up before continuing the trek through the streets. Dryn's call for help was luckily succesful and when the broomstick was just about to break, the beast was knocked off him and then been decapitated by... daisies? Dryn faced the man who had saved him. He thought he had seen that man somewhere beffore. He should be one of the members of the group from the park. " Thank you..." he managed to say as he took Vervains hand and stood up. "That...was a close one..." Dryn quickly wipped off the dust from his clothes, refilled his gun and headed towards the mansion. Joining this group, could help him stay alive and find his sister. It was better than just hidding

Pippin looked down at Florence, a wave of guilt setting in just as it had earlier today. He swallowed hard, turning away from the woman and continuing towards the mansion. And then he looked back. And then back at the Mansion. This repeated several more times before finally Pippin sprung off the rooftop, yanked his satchel open as he did so and then pulled a vial of medicine out of it just as he landed. He landed directly on top of Florence's shoulders. Florence let out a yelp of shock at whatever hopped onto her shoulders. She reached back and grabbed the creature's light body and held it in front of her, ready to blast the thing to bits. As it turned out, however, it was the goblin from back at the meadow. She lowered his gun and gave him a nervous smile. "Heheh... Sorry about that! Maybe a little warning next time before you go jumping on people's shoulders!" She chuckled nervously as the group approached the mansion. As the group entered the mansion courtyard, all the beasts following them stopped. They ducked their heads and crawled away, trembling. This would have been a relief for the gunslinger to see, normally, but the idea that these creatures were likely more terrified of whatever was inside the manor rather than the fighters themselves filled her with a sudden sinking feeling. She took a deep breath to gather up any courage she could and pushed the manor doors open. The doors swung open to the enormous main hall. The roofs were at least 50 feet above them with several large marble pillars stretching up to meet the roof on either side of the room. Near the end of the main hall laid a large staircase leading to the upper part of the mansion while the ground floor had several doors leading to what was likely the kitchen, dining room, and various other areas of the home. A beautiful crystalline chandelier hung from the ceiling, its light completely outshone by a blue glow coming from the foot of the staircase. At the far end of the room, surrounded by a strange eldritch ritual circle lay a large mirror, likely the one the manor's owner used to communicate with Galia. This mirror was emitting the gargantuan pillar of blue light the group had seen from the park, despite the top of the mirror being covered by the noble who owned this mansion. The elected official was dead, and standing near the man's dead body was a hulking beastman unlike any the group had yet to see. The creature let out a low growl, smelling the stench of humans and the blood of it's brethren, and turned to meet its unwelcomed guests. Upon viewing the creature, it was clear to Florence who this man used to be. The beast bore a uniform, despite it being torn and shredded due to the beast's growth in size. The uniform in question was none other than the clothing of the Foorothe Royal Captain. Florence stared on in horror at what the man had become. There was no humanity left in the beast's features, the man being completely consumed by whatever plague was sweeping Avengrad. The Beastly Captain let out a deafening roar to assert its dominance, as it had claimed this manor to be its home now. When the group didn't leave, The Beastly Captain leaned forward, letting out another lone growl and charging the group head on, its four arms extended. "TEAM!! LETS KILL THIS THING!!!" Florence shouted as she leaped out of the way of the monster's oncoming attack, hoping the rest of the group would follow suit.

What the hell is that? Was that a person?!?! Jintama stared in pure horror on The Beastly Captain. Well, I can't sit here..."TEAM!! LETS KILL THIS THING!!!" Florence shouted as she leaped out of the way of the monster's oncoming attack, hoping the rest of the group would follow suit. "Right!" Jintama got out of the way from the monster's attack and prepares another electric slash. She swung her sword around so the electricity would aim at the horrid beast. "Eat this, asshat!"

Pippin let out a small, terrified squeak, covering his face his his free hand and wrapping his coiled up body with his tail. With his free hand he held out the small medicine jar he had been grasping in an awkward attempt to offer it to the woman. "If you rub this down your spin your injury should heal..." Pippin gave a satisfied smile. What this... what being a full fledged apothecary was like? Not just a gopher or flask scrubber, like he had been previously. This was so... fufilling. His smile then turned into a worried frown. That was Mugroot, right? He didn't just poison her? The goblin shook his head, he was probably just over thinking things. Pippin continued to follow his allies towards the beacon, paying close attention to Florence just in the off chance he needed to prepare an antidote. When the party arrived at the Manor with no signs of poisoning the goblins let out a sigh of relief that quickly transformed into a petrified shriek. "NO NO NO NO NO!!!" Pippin practically clawed at the walls in a desperate attempt to find something to climb up. "I HATE THIS!" "WE'RE GONNA DIE!! Pippin shouted from atop a statue he had managed to climb up, the molding along the wall being his next target. The goblin readied himself to jump up onto the wall, no goal in mind other than his desire to get above the Captain.

"TEAM!! LETS KILL THIS THING!!!" Florence shouted as she leaped out of the way of the monster's oncoming attack, hoping the rest of the group would follow suit. Quincy yelped as the monster started an attack, letting go of Eliza's grasp, but freezing in place, unable to move. She held up a single hand shakily, as though that could stop this creature. Her breathing was coming out in wheezing gasps and it was clear from her posture she wasn't going anywhere with her own will. She bit her lip till it bled as she watched the creature in front of her get progressively closer. She lowered her head to advert her eyes, opening her mouth and letting out a loud scream, following by a stream of hysterics leaving her lips. She would be hit in seconds.

The closer they got to the manor, the more Vervain started noticing the stark decrease in the enemies numbers. As he ran alongside his comrades, he used Organon to send a short pulse through the ground. The ping was akin to a sonar in the sense that it would bounce off of living matter. It couldn't tell Vervain much outside of the fact that there was life in an area, though. As far as he could glean from this action, there appeared to be a response from within the manor, and Vervain feared that it wouldn't be the owner of the estate. As the group entered the mansion courtyard, all the beasts following them stopped. They ducked their heads and crawled away, trembling. "Aa I feared..." Vervain mumbled. Although he couldn't recognize the beast that stood over the late official, the tattered regalia that it bore was a telltale sign of the captain of the Foorothe Royal Guards. The creature oozed strength and hostility. It was clearly a powerful force, seeming to be able to strike fear into even its brethren. How befitting of the Captain... he thought dolefully. When the group didn't leave, The Beastly Captain leaned forward, letting out another lone growl and charging the group head on, its four arms extended. "TEAM!! LETS KILL THIS THING!!!" She lowered her head to advert her eyes, opening her mouth and letting out a loud scream, following by a stream of hysterics leaving her lips. She would be hit in seconds. The beast moved far faster than one would normally expect a creature of its size to be able to. Vervain managed to safely evade the attack, but the sound of Quincy's shrieks of terror brought his attention back to the beast. It was only mere seconds away from trampling her. "Miss Marsh!" Vervain exclaimed, quickly calling for the growth of a Bramblethorn to knock the girl out of the range of the beast, retracting its spikes in order to prevent harming her with its spikes. With a simple change in directive from Vervain - the orb of energy in his Organon glowing as he did so - he commanded the plant to wrap around the beastman, constricting it while he rushed to Quincy's side. "Miss Marsh, can you stand?"

Lan'ra rolled out of the way from the attack of the horrifying figure. It slowly became more and more blurry as she tried to process the situation. She couldn't do it. Fear overcame her as she looked before her situation. She took a deep breath. Lan'ra closed her eyes. The mansion was beautiful to her. The intact building had wonderful furniture and decoration all around. She wanted to explore it more. Something blurry and huge was in her way though. What a shame! "It's in my way." she spoke. Lan'ra looked before her teammates, confused. "Heeeeeeeeeeeey, what do you think that iiiiiis?" she inquired, her voice taking on a different tone then one she had displayed previously. She shakily stood back up and smiled. "I'll take care of it."She lifted up something else with her magic, what she saw as a table, but was a large piece of debris. She hurled it towards the blur, and hoped it would hit. She couldn't see what the rest of them were seeing.

Before the monster could reach its target of every living being in the area, it found itself wrapped in a strange amount of foliage. It let out an annoyed growl as it struggled to break free. Florence took this opportunity Vervain had provided the group to aim her gun and fire off a test blast to see how much damage her magic bolts would do against a creature of that size.
The magic bullet, along with the slash of electricity Jintama had thrown its way, did little to The Beastly Captain other than enrage the creature even further. With a mighty roar, the beast broke free of Vervain's restraints and hunched forward, facing Florence and Jintama. The gunslinger gulped as those fiery eyes were locked on the two, quickly aiming her gun in an attempt to fire at the beast again.
Before Florence could fire, however, the captain let out a deafening roar unlike any of its previous sounds, the noise echoing through the manor. The ground beneath the group began to rumble as every beast in the Foorothe area began storming the manor, jumping through windows and clawing their way through walls in an attempt to follow out their leader's orders. One beastman burst through the window closest to Florence, knocking her on her side and attempting to tear into her flesh.
She quickly knocked the creature off of her body and bashed its head in with her arm. The Captain let out a low growl whilst the other creatures in the area let out shrieks and howls of wrath. The Beastly Captain cringed slightly at the other beast's sudden outburst and let out a loud 'bark,' prompting the other creatures to shut their mouths. The other beasts began their attack on the rest of the group while The Beastly Captain dug its four arms into the marble floor below him, pulling up four large chunks of earth and hurling them in Florence and Jintama's direction.
The beast was then smacked in the head with a large piece of debris, the creature letting out a pained groan as it turned to face the woman who hurled it. The Beastly Captain screeched at several Basilisks nearby, the serpent like creatures nodding at their leader before simultaneously spewing acid off in her direction. The captain turned toward the Vervain, Quincy and anyone still hanging around the front entrance and charged them again.

"Oh shit!" Jintama cried. "Look out!!" Jintama moved Florence out of the way, as well as running fast as she could so the four large chunks of earth won't hit the two. "Oh man... I thought we were goners....." Jintama said, as she was out of breath. She looked back and see the beast and its hetchmen heading towards the group. "Right, I can't back down now." Jintama held up her sword and the eletricity starts to charge up. "I don't think I'll be able to attack right now. I need to set up all the energy to get this to be more effective" Jintama looks towards Florence "Got any plans on what to do with the damn beasts while I charge up?"

"Miss Marsh, can you stand?" Quincy flew back, landing on her side as Vervain's plants knocked her back from the oncoming attack. Her cries of fear turned to cries of pain as she skid across the ground. However, she wasn't holding the arm she'd landed on. She gripped her uncovered arm tightly as she tried to lean up, tears staining her cheeks as the stinging sensation mutated into a a deep throbbing that coursed through her whole body. Her hand was clawed again, and she found herself unable to move it. She looked up at Vervain as he rushed to her side, whimpering as she stretched out her hand to allow herself to be helped up. She quickly pulled it back in horror when she saw the blood streaming from the tips. "W-What? No, s-stop," She whispered as her tone reached a higher pitch, her hand shaking as she tried to examine it. Her fingernails had fallen off. Quincy had little time to worry about the ever-pressing health issues she'd developed, watching as the beast came towards her again. Her eyes went wide and her shaky legs finally allowed her to move as she pushed off the ground and back into an upright stance. "Run, w-we have to run!" She shouted at Vervain, before turning and, with a surprising amount of speed, hurrying to avoid the attack of the beast.

Pippin let out another cry as he watched the Captain continue it's assault. The goblin was currently halfway up the wall's molding, with with the chandelier hanging from the ceiling being his next target. He wasn't being targeted now, which was good.
But when everyone else dies, he'd be the only one left, which would be bad.
Pippin jumped off the wall, grabbing onto the chandelier for dear life. His tail coiled around one of the glass bars of the fixture.

She shouted at Vervain, before turning and, with a surprising amount of speed, hurrying to avoid the attack of the beast. "H-hey!" Vervain called after Quincy, not expecting her to possess such speed. The beast was closer than before, and Vervain hadn't the time to say much more. The beast relentlessly progressed. Vervain unceremoniously dived out of the way of the Captain, landing on his side. The shock of hitting the polished marble caused him to drop his cane, the object skittering a short ways along the flooring. The other beasts were closing in, and without the Organon, Vervain would not be able to channel his magic. Ignoring the tender pain in his hip and shoulder joints, he hurriedly scrambled over to his cane just in time to barely deflect a beastman's punch. The punch forced him into a slide, the old man having no control over his locomotion. He finally stopped when he came in contact with one of the pillars in the foyer. Using both the pillar and his cane, Vervain managed to prop himself up. I'll need a higher vantage point!"Instrument of nature, spring forth from the ashes!" After a few seconds, Vervain was propelled into the air by a thick beanstalk. He rose higher and higher, until he was level with the chandelier. The beanstalk grew a limb, a thick, wide leaf sprouting from it. Vervain stepped off onto the leaf, looking down at the beasts. Several beastmen were attempting to climb the giant beanstalk. Vervain noticed one of his allies, Pippin, hanging on to the chandelier, with the Captain just beneath it.

Quincy scurried behind one of the pillars, holding her bleeding hand to her chest as she forced her tears to stop. She brushed them off with her shoulder before leaning heavily against the cool marble and sliding to the floor. She looked down at her once beautiful clothes, now covered in dirt and bits of blood that splotched across like an abstract painting. "Father, you'll be so upset with me..." She whispering to herself. The sound of the battle happening around her had her quivering once more, and she angrily beat her head back against the pillar, causing it to shake a bit from the force. "Stop it, stop it!" She yelled to herself. How many more chances did she have before these people were too late to save her? Why had she come in the first place if she couldn't defend herself? She was scared...and alone...she needed people. She needed them. But if she didn't give them a reason to need her, she'd be left behind. She would die."...Ten..." She started to count as she carefully raised herself back up. "Nine..." Her arms were on fire. They prickled and distorted before her eyes. She forced her clawed hands to clench closed as she moved. "E-Eight..." Blood dripped from her palms, more than just the blood from her finger nails. She could feel something else easing into her skin. "Seven," She stepped back out into the fray, her stance a bit stronger despite all the agony she felt in every fiber of her being. "Six," The pain was incredible. She felt herself gasping for breath as the warmth spread through her. She let out a small scream as her father's gun clattered back to the floor, the metal searing her even wrapped in the cloth of the glove. She kept moving. "Fi...Five..." She heard it before she saw it. It slithered on the ground as its tongue reached out, preparing to strike. "F....Four......." Was this what hell felt like? Was this death? Surely she must be dying. How was she still alive...? "Thr...." He mouth didn't feel right. Something was wrong. Time was slowly around her but this crawling of her skin just kept getting worse. The basilisk...where was it? Had it still not reached her? She could feel its movements beneath her tightening boots. It was coming, it was coming---."T-T..." Where was it?! WHERE WAS IT?! Was it really that far away still? It had seemed so fast. Her vision blurred for a moment, and then came back incredibly sharp. Oh. There it is.It rose to strike her. It's tongue wrapped around her burning arms and tried to drag her closer. Her heals skidded on the ground as she was brought closer, and closer, and closer still. But it was all so slow. She could see herself moving every inch of the way. She could hear it's heartbeat getting nearer to her's... Her hands were inside its mouth. She'd be devoured soon. Calm was what she expected near the end, but something different from fear surged through her. Something she'd rarely felt in all her sheltered days. Her teeth gritted together and her hands stretched out, ripping into the mouth of the creature that had tried to eat her whole twice now. That feeling only grew stronger as something different from the nails she'd just lost slashed into the pinky pulp of its insides, digging them out as she pulled herself free of its grasp. She saw the look of pain in the creatures eyes, but she felt no sympathy for it. She was already in so much herself.
"One."
The beast split in two. {Spoiler - Click to View}

Pippin looked down at the battle from the safety of the swaying chandelier, ears nervously tucked to his head. A pang of guilt stabbed at the goblin's tiny heart as his allies battled the behemoth below, a battle he was most certain was one sided. Either way, it was not like he could possibly help, with nothing but a gimmicky dagger and pockets full of dried leave. What could he possibly do? Serve the monsters a salad? Pippin cupped his cheeks in his palms as he continued to pity himself and his seemingly hopeless situation, sight upwards towards heavens. The goblin's eyes then locked with the cable connecting, ears slowly raising as an idea began to formulate in his mind. "... I got it!"
With the agility of something much smaller and furrier than he, Pippin scampered up the Chandelier, pulling his dagger out as he did so and then aiming it at the thinnest part of the cable. Taking one last glance to make sure the beast was under him, the goblin began to saw and hack at the cable, it slowly starting to give. "Come on..."
