Lucy open up her eyes, after keeping them shut while tears were streaming down. Hearing someone scream, and Slyvie's speech. It's very overwelming but seeing her friend Merle walk out to see what's really happening, she did follow them to a bit and caught a glimps of what's happened. That..... monster..... and the snake girl that melted...... the horror......... Lucy was scared beyond all belief.
"Oh no..!" She whispered in fear.
This is getting too much...... this is getting to much....!! She turned away because of how horrific those events become.
Lucy took another look out again and notices that Merle is helping another kid out. She opened the door carefully.
She walked down quietly as possible for anyone outside of Merle and the other kid not to hear. The other kid seems to be trembling. She reached out her hand to him. Hoping it will help

If he was to eat any time soon, it would seem he'd have no other choice than to make a meal of one of the people standing in front of him. And which better than the smallest, and likely weakest, target. Atticus leaned forward and sprinted towards Earnest, jaws agape. Earnest screeched, falling backwards and putting up his feet to kick instinctually. One foot hit the top of the croc's nose, the other pressing down on his tongue. He could feel his top foot slipping as his hands clawed into the dirt. "C-Carmella!!" He yelled. The Keeper acted quickly, moving towards the two. Her hands were outstretched and they met the shoulder's of the unclothed child, electricity flowing from her body into his. She saw his grip loosen from the shock and she used this advantage to pull him off, pushing him hard to the side. She stood between the two children, a hand towards each but her head facing Atticus. "Atticus, stop!" Her voice were hoarse and her eyes were red, teeth gritted as she stared at the child she was so sure had been dead. But here he was...he was alive...how...?

"Atticus, stop!" Her voice were hoarse and her eyes were red, teeth gritted as she stared at the child she was so sure had been dead. But here he was...he was alive...how...? The rabbit child had managed to stop Atticus' jaws, surprisingly. The child grew enraged, attempting to bite down harder than before when he was met with a surge of electricity getting sent through his body. The boy leaped back, groaning and scratching at his shoulder in an attempt to get the burning sensation to stop. He glared at this new target, thoroughly pissed that she stood in the way of his meal. When she said it again. What..? Why does she keep calling me that..? The croc stood confused for a moment before their anger returned as they hunched over and extended their claws. He needed to eat, and this woman was in his way. If he had to kill her too, so be it. " MOVE!!" Atticus shouted. " HUNGRY!!" He growled as he turned to look at the small group of children gathering around the child who'd initially screamed. They'll do...Atticus sprinted towards Merle, Lucy and Gear. He was hungry, and if he could snatch up one of the smaller children they would suffice. All he had to do was bat one with his tail at full force and they'd be knocked out for sure, possibly even dead, saving him further trouble. As Atticus came within range, he swung his enormous tail at the three in hopes of hitting one of them...

"Oh no!!!"
Lucy let out a shriek. There was no time to sit still at this point. Lucy grabbed Merle and Gear's hands and ran inside as fast as she could. As soon at the three went inside, she shut the door in order for the monster not to come in.

Merle only had time to blink about one and a half times before the enormous reptile careened towards them and their friends. It felt like the badger's body was moving of its own accord, or...?!
Merle felt themselves turn into a ragdoll as the sheer... force of a pull?! acted on them and the boy they were trying to comfort.
The wind whistled through their ears.
The crocodile beast still approached, starting to swing a massive tail.
Merle could feel a faint sting in their feet as their claws ripped into the weaker underside of a scaly tail.
Something felt odd as they blinked again and saw themselves in the familiar cabin.
One of their claws was completely missing, two others bent out of shape. Merle titled their head at the sight, very confused.
"Hmmmm. Oh, we're back!" They blinked up at Gear and Lucy.

The child on the ground let out a small groan as they began to pick themselves up. Lifting their torso with one arm as the other put a hand under their eye. It was wet. Much of the face was covered in tears. Standing up sharply they almost seemed to look right through everyone. The body settling into a noticeable slouch. Bru was unsure of the last time he felt it necessary to front. The way things were going here, however, he didn't feel it was something to allow the youths to be present for. Letting out a cough internally he observed the surroundings, listening very carefully. There was certainly more to the situation than he could see. As he absorbed what appeared to go on he silently walked over to the wall in which the door was and stood against it, not right next to the door but not the farthest away he could get. If something dangerous was out there its first line of sight would be the back end, staying in the peripheral view from the door seemed to be best. He had to think about the younger members in the system and if running back to the path they came up on was the safest thing for them then he would simply just have to do it. But for now he waited. Deciding to see how everything played out, whether there really was a threat. Taking quick looks over the other children present he did not really see them as the cause of any of this tension.

She walked down quietly as possible for anyone outside of Merle and the other kid not to hear. The other kid seems to be trembling. She reached out her hand to him. Hoping it will help Gear hadn't paid any attention to the hand being offered to him. Despite the situation they found themselves in, Gear was lost in thought. Or rather, his mind was focused solely one thing: His horn would sprout any second now... any... second. Unbeknownst to him, the crocodile kid had switched targets yet again, choosing to go for Gear and the two other children beside him. Gear looked up at the last second to see the tail swinging directly at him, the surprise from seeing the monstrous beast snapping him out of his stupor. Before he knew it, he was whisked away. "What are you doing? Let go of me!" He demanded to whoever had nabbed him. The glow on his forehead subsided, though there was still a faint luminescent residue hidden beneath his bangs. The jerboa girl moved quickly, Gear having ended up behind the closed door of the cabin before he knew it. He collapsed to the floor, catching his breath. Beads of sweat dripped onto the floorboard. What the hell! He couldn't run away now. Not after that snake girl had given her life to save him! He yearned for revenge, but quashed the feeling. He knew his own strength, and it wouldn't enough to smite that monster. In fact, he didn't even want to kill the monster in the first place, never mind the fact that what it did deserved to be rewarded with death. He swore to never kill anybody ever again. Gear rose and found himself standing on stable feet. For some odd reason, the fear was gone. He was no longer racked with terror. The crippling sense of dread that plagued his mind vanished, almost as if it was never there. All that was left were sharp, acute senses - the true form of his prey instincts. All of his senses were at full capacity, beyond even. Everything unnecessary to his survival was forgotten. What had fear felt like again? Anger? Pain? He couldn't remember the last time he'd experienced those... emotions? Is that what they were? Hmmmm. Oh, we're back!" They blinked up at Gear and Lucy. Gear noticed the other children for the first time. From an objective standpoint, he could sense the terror in the air, sense the pain that they felt. Ah. So these are 'feelings'?
"It's coming," he said, warning the children in the cabin. Gear stood his ground and waited for the crocodile boy. For the first time, he was able to put a word to the smothering feeling permeating the air. It was hunger.

His tail narrowly missed its targets, the boy keeping his eyes locked on the three as they fled into the cabin Atticus had tried so desperately to scare them out of. There was no point in playing nice anymore. These people seemed determined to hold down their little fort, so the only way he'd have any possibility of feasting soon would be to break in and devour whatever was inside....
Living or not..
Atticus turned towards Carmella for a moment before sprinting around the other side of the cabin, reaching the door in only a few moments. He couldn't waste time bothering with testing to see if the door was locked. There was food in there, and he was damn sure going to eat tonight. He backed a few steps away from the door before running at it full force, breaking the door down and tumbling into the room. He winced at the pain from the impact and quickly attempted to regain his senses. As he managed to come to, he made note of how many children were in the cabin and stood up as tall as he could to intimidate them.

Carmella bristled when she say the wild child lock eyes with her, only tensing further when he turned and ran towards where the other children were currently hidden away. "No!" She pulled up her dress and ran after him. His powerful back was to her, and there was only a moments hesitation before she sucked in a huge breath and placed her bare palms on his skin once more. Will this kill him? She wondered as the electricity flowed, much stronger than before into the beings body. If it does...perhaps that is for the best...She watched as his body slumped forward to the floor and she quickly got on top of his back, keeping a hand pressed there in case the child was still alive. At the very least he would be paralyzed for a few minutes, and she had to be prepared for that outcome as well. "S-Someone, get me some strong ropes. There should be plenty in the bags we brought." Her brow furrowed as she noticed his hulkish body. "We'll need a lot of them."

He winced at the pain from the impact and quickly attempted to regain his senses. As he managed to come to, he made note of how many children were in the cabin and stood up as tall as he could to intimidate them. Just as Gear thought, the "monster" showed up. Up close, Gear could tell that the hunger it felt was true. Had it ever tasted anything other than game? It rose to its full height, though this time Gear did not feel intimidated. Before it could make its next move, their Keeper had intervened, administering a shock powerful enough to render the beast paralyzed. For now, that is. "S-Someone, get me some strong ropes. There should be plenty in the bags we brought." Her brow furrowed as she noticed his hulkish body. "We'll need a lot of them." Gear nodded at Carmella, heeding her instructions and running off to grab the bags. He held them in front of him as he approached the monster. As he got a closer look, he thought the beast almost looked... human. Could this... could this have been an afflicted kid like him? Gear dropped the bags in front of the boy's face, the impact kicking up a bit of dust that was on the floor of the cabin. No. This monster was nothing like him. With things returning to some semblance of normal, however, Gear's prey instincts were beginning to dwindle, and the freedom from emotions he'd experienced while under its effects were slowly but surely draining away. As he looked down at the beast one last time, he breathing quickened. Now, anger was claiming the throne. "Why did you do it?!!" he shouted, stomping his foot on the ground near the crocodile's head. "Why did you kill them! Who are you?!?!" He knew the boy wouldn't be able to answer him, but kept going anyway. "They didn't do anything to you! They were innocent!! Yet you... you...!" When he'd eventually calmed, he stalked over to the fireplace and gazed into the flames. The warmth provided comfort. It dried his tears and soothed his nerves. He wasn't able to help the ones that died, but he supposed he could help the ones who were still alive. He approached Theo, who still had yet to recover from the blow he received from Earnest. "Do you... need help?" he asked.

Atticus collapsed before he could do any real damage to the group, thanks to the annoying lady who insisted on calling him by some strange word. He began to panic as his muscles refused to move on his command, struggling and whining as he attempted to escape. He'd clearly made the wrong choice, and he was paying the price now. Before he knew it, he was tied up in rope and unable to do anything but allow it to happen. It was only after he was completely subdued that his muscle control began to come back, the croc immediately squirming in an attempt to escape, to no prevail.
Atticus snapped at the boy as he walked away, not gleaning anything from what Gear had said. All he knew was that he was hungry, and these people weren't providing him with any food. He began to roll around on the floor, simulating a death roll in hopes of escaping, but alas to no results. Defeated, Atticus laid motionless on the floor, staring bleary eyed at the fire and pile of food that lay nearby.

He began to roll around on the floor, simulating a death roll in hopes of escaping, but alas to no results. Defeated, Atticus laid motionless on the floor, staring bleary eyed at the fire and pile of food that lay nearby. Carmella laid on the floor next to the child after tying him up tightly, her eyes seeming to glaze over as she went into some sort of shock induced trance. She watched him attempt to escape, but made no motion to silence him. He'd survived her touch and she didn't think she had the power left, or the will power at that, to administer a shock that could kill him again. "The God's much hate me..." The words left her lips barely more than a mumble, something that no one would pick up unless they had high enough hearing. Speaking of which, a certain rabbit boy returned, sniffling and looking miserable. He walked carefully around the body of Atticus before grabbing onto Carmella's sleeve. "Is this the monster?" He asked. The way he said it made it sound like he'd said something similar before. Carmella shook her head in response. "No. He's not." Earnest seemed to accept this without question and plopped down in Carmella's lap, staring at the croc with a puckered lip. "Now what?" "...We take him home," Carmella whispered, her shoulder's slouching forward. Earnest let out a small 'yelp!' at this proclamation, swiveling to look at the Keeper with a horrified expression. "Turn him into the pound! Don't bring it home!" "He's not an 'it'," Carmella spoke fiercely, pushing Earnest out of her lap and standing to her feet. "He's a child just like you. He'll be treated as such." She turned away from him sharply and went to the fish that had scattered across the floor, scooping them into the bucket again before returning to Atticus and holding one out. "Eat." She commanded. "I left enough slack for you to be open your jaw, if you can understand me..." "H-Hey!" Earnest yelled. "That's my fish! I caught that!" "And you tossed it to the floor," Carmella snapped. She tried to hold Atticus's golden gaze, hoping her intent was clear as she held the fish closer. "Eat."

Atticus stared at the fish in front of him before locking eyes with Carmella. Out of that whole exchange, he'd only really understood one word of it. Eat. His pupils dilated as he inhaled the smell of the fish, and decided if this was going to be his only chance to eat, he'd make the best of it. He lunged forwards, letting out a yell and startling the Keeper, causing her to drop the fish, and the bucket. Atticus swallowed the first fish whole, before shoving his head into the bucket and took to devouring its contents.

Theo looked up at Gear. “You don’t have to worry about me,” he said in a slightly raspy voice, “You all seem to be having it a little worse right now… Damn, this is a mess.” He looked at the crocodile kid in captivity.
We aren’t animals…
“He’s not an IT, you loon!! He’s like all of us!” Theo’s stomach ached, but he couldn’t stop himself from getting angry. It didn’t matter how savage the crocodile kid was, he was still human. Of course he was unnerved by what he was seeing, and panicking over the fact that some of the others were dead, but that didn’t change anything.
"Hell, if that's how it is, YOU should get muzzled up for messing up my insides!"

Earnest bristled, tapping one of his feet on the ground as he stared at Theo, "Why you---." "Enough!" Carmella yelled, her voice booming throughout the cabin. "I will watch Atticus for the evening in a neighboring cabin. And when morning comes, he comes as well." He eyed each child warily. "Too many children have died tonight. Let's not add another to list..."
ONE WEEK LATER
Having checked on Atticus in his private room and feeding him well, Carmella went to check on the other children. "No breakfast today!" She ordered as she walked from window to window and opening the blinds. "Get dressed and head straight down to the mess hall. Today is an important day:
"The parents are coming."After all the children found their way to the mess hall, Carmella entered with Atticus in a metal harness that she gripped tightly. Should the child misbehave, she'd administer a warning shock. She currently didn't trust anyone else to be able to properly take care of him and his....interesting situation. Finding cloths for his tail had certainly been an issue, but it was manageable. Carmella took to a small podium a staff member had scooted in, Keeping Atticus's leash taut. She put on her best smile for presentations sake. "Hello all, it's a pleasure to see your bright and shining faces this morning. I see a few new ones as well, welcome! It's that time of year again! We'll be having any prospective parents staying with us for the next two weeks to personally get to know as many of you as possible. So please! Be on your best behavior."She cleared her throat and waited tensely. The parents would be stepping in shortly. CURRENT OBJECTIVE
If you would like to enter a parent character now is the time! As well as any new orphans for those who killed off their previous one. Please have your parent step up to the podium to introduce yourself to the children. Besides that, you may have your characters talk with each other as usual.
