Crystal Hearts, formerly known as Tokyo Crystal Mew is a remake of sorts of it's former storyline. It shares the same plot and characters but with differences. A couple years ago, after having thought it over for a while, I came to the conclusion that since my plot was quite a bit different from the whole Mew Mew Charade and it could very easily stand on it's own without the Mew origin, I decided to trust my creativity and start it as a new more original story. Unfortunately it hasn't really gotten anywhere in terms of episode releasing and that sort of stuff, but it is sitting in the back gathering dust while I iron out details (and get distracted with life stuff).
However, I do find time to draw my characters and still let their personalities and uniqueness shine! As of such, I'm gonna post a few pictures I have done (mostly today and I'll post more later) so you can maybe relive a few memories and check out my new doodles?
I like using the binary tool in Paint Tool Sai a lot, and maybe it's just because it has a look of reminiscence because I always used to draw in paint, yet through the power of my tablet I can make the lines look clean and finished and beautiful. Anyway, I really like to use it, so that's why these are all drawn in it. Not some of my best work, but it made me really happy to draw them.
These next few are actually the official designs for Toya and Mina after they transform. I'm rather proud of Toya's, but Mina looks stiff but oh well. You can at least see what they look like!
