Dan scratched the back of his neck, glancing back through the rolled down window at Molly as she spread herself out over the scratchy and slightly torn fabric of the seats. "You could try helping from time to time, Molly." Molly lazily lifted the first aide kit covering her face and blinked up at the bubble gum haired man. "I do help, I keep you alive," She responded before dropping the kit back on her face, signalling that all she was in the mood to do right now was nap. If Io and Dan always wanted to be on the move than let them, but she was going to be as lazy as was before the outbreak. Or at least as close as possible. Besides, this way they balanced each other out. Molly couldn't help but grin in response to Dan's statement. "Unlike you, I keep an eye on my shi-" "WE AREN'T ALONE HERE!! ANOTHER HUMAN'S IN HERE WITH ME!!!" He shouted out, turning his full attention back to the matter at hand. Molly was suddenly interrupted as Io called out from within the gas station. She pressed the first aide kit into her face, muffling the sound of her groan as her eyes rolled. The last thing she wanted to deal with was another possible addition to the team. That meant another dumbass charging into hoards who wanted their injuries treated. This meant rations shared and another seat taken in the car.

Jerry heard the scream from inside and recognized the voice almost instantly and, even though his tone sounded serious, grinned instantly upon realizing who it was. Now 90% less concerned, Jerry took out another apple and proceeded to munch on it before coming out from around the gas station, gun raised and pointed just in case someone decided to try shooting on sight before recognizing him, and standing between those inside and outside the gas station so both groups could see him clearly.
"Hey! Look at this rag tag team of misfits." Jerry laughed, choking a bit on his apple. "Been awhile. Am I interrupting something~?"

"WE AREN'T ALONE HERE!! ANOTHER HUMAN'S IN HERE WITH ME!!!" He shouted out, turning his full attention back to the matter at hand. Molly couldn't help but grin in response to Dan's statement. "Unlike you, I keep an eye on my shi-" Molly was suddenly interrupted as Io called out from within the gas station. She pressed the first aide kit into her face, muffling the sound of her groan as her eyes rolled. Dan had just finished filling the fuel containers with gas. Fortunately there was enough in this pump that allowed him to do so. A dirty blessing in rusty disguise, definitely. Really, gas was getting harder and harder to come by these days. For there to still be not only gas here, but also food meant either one of two things: either the people who lived here got the hell out as soon as the outbreak started, or the were among the first to go. If it was the latter... then they surely weren't as safe as they thought. As he screwed the lids back onto the plastic containers, Io's warning hit his ears. Dan groaned in tandem with Molly, dragging a hand down his face. "If I didn't know better, I'd think Io sounded nervous." He left the containers in a neat row by the car and pulled drew his pistol. "I'm going to go check things out. Guess I don't need to tell you to stay here." Dan started to make his way to the entrance but was cut off by a certain someone's unexpected - and rather unwelcome - arrival. Am I interrupting something~?" Dan's shoulders drooped, a low wine escaping his throat. "Ugh... someone troublesome showed up..." he muttered. " How did you even find us?"

Io remained quiet for a moment after the woman introduced herself, the man standing eerily still as his eyes stayed locked on her. "Okay." He spoke up again, letting his arm fall down to his side, leaving the safety off. "So long as you don't try anything we won't have a-"
Io's firearm was raised once more at the warning Dan had given him, the barrel of the gun pointed at this newcomer with his head turned back towards Elena "I thought you said you weren't WITH anyone!? Don't make me paint the wall with your fucking brains!" He shouted, looking towards the other stranger only to recognize him immediately. "JERRYYYYYY!" He exclaimed out of habit. He kept his pistol raised at him, however, despite the casual tone that spilled from Io's mouth. There wasn't exactly any real way of telling who your friends were and weren't in this world.
"Interrupting? Nooooo, you're here just in time for the party." He smirked.

Elena's eyes followed Io's, and she saw the person who had just showed up. "Okay, I swear, I do not know this person. But it seems like you do." It seemed like she mostly said this to herself, as she watched Io and Jerry, wondering just what will happen.

Jerry also didn't lower his gun, cocky smile still in place as he spoke through a mouthful of apple. "Looks like you found a newbie! She's cute. New girlfriend?" There was a hint of jealousy in his voice, but just slight. He took another bite to quash to before it became more apparent. "I'd love to catch up, glad too see a bunch of you are still alive!" He looked around curiously. "What happened to those teens I saw you with last? Jack and Lee?"

Io raised his eyebrow at Elena, not fully convinced in the woman's story but decided to let it drop to address his old pal. He turned the gun towards Jerry, his smile still pasted on his face. "Girlfriend? Nah, just met the chick! What about you? Travelling alone? How unlike you!" He quipped. Io was taken back by Jerry's question, his smile dropping into a confused look.
"Jack and Lee...? Who in the...." Io trailed off, scratching the side of his head with the barrel of his gun, clearly unaware of who the man was talking about before it clicked in his head. "OH!!! Oh yeaaah, they're fuckin' dead! Zombie chow! They died awhile back, they're no doubt zombified by now." He spoke casually. "Kinda dead weight anyway!" He chuckled.

Io's distraction allowed Elena the freedom to move from her spot and pick up the food she had neglected to pick up from before, but that would be foolish. Io still had a gun, and Jerry was just a distraction. If she moved, she could end up with a bullet in her head. But that made her think. Why would she even want to stay with this maniac? It was best to move now and scavenge what she could while he was talking to his old friend, and with an affirmative nod to herself, she turned on her heel to make her way towards the other aisle.

Dan sighed, inserting the pistol into the holster on his hip. "You have absolutely no tact. They were good people, Io." Both of them had a lot of potential, and Dan found that Jack in particular was actually pretty useful. But they grew very close to each other, and when Lee fell, Jack risked everything in a failed rescue attempt resulting in both of their demises. How ironic that such a natural act of kindness rewarded them with unfortunate death. If Dan would have witnessed this a few years before he would've surely been perturbed by it, but as of late he's started thinking that death in the World After was the best form of salvation one could offer. If only they'd actually died. "In other news, why are you still waving that thing around?" Dan asked, motioning his finger to the gun in Io's hand. "And you..." he said, shifting his finger to Jerry's direction, "you haven't answered my question yet. Didn't you leave? For good? Also- wait, who are you? Where are you going?" Dan hadn't seen the person Io was talking about until now, but their head was currently turned away from him so he couldn't quite make out their features. ( Missy R. )

Once that was in her hands, she returned and turned her head towards Dan, tilting it slightly. Maybe this man knew the other two? That's how it seemed. Just how many people were even there? "I'm Elena, and I'm just here to get some supplies before I find some shelter for the night. I don't suppose you... know those two, do you?" she said, regarding him in her own way.

Jerry's gun quickly moved to the new face that clearly wasn't with his old friends out of instinct, but chose to respond to Dan instead of her, since he really didn't care for strangers that he couldn't date. "I never said I was leaving for good," He snapped, "Just said you guys didn't have what I was looking for. You especially." He looked Dan up and down, made an unpleasant face, and then looked back at the target of his weapon. "I know them, but I'm not with them." He spoke shortly.

"Eh." Io shrugged Dan off. "Couldn't have been that good if they got killed. Good don't keep you alive out here." He responded. However, Dan mentioning the girl behind him had started moving prompted Io to once again point his gun directly at Elena once more. "Don't go running off yet, we were just getting to know each other~!" He chimed cheerily, his tone devoid of any cynicism or sarcasm. As though it were truly genuine. "You got a shelter around here? Not a real good idea to be staying in a town in the middle of the night by yourself, don't ya' think?" He asked.
"We didn't have what you're looking for!?" Io snapped back, almost offended. He brushed the memories off and rolled his eyes at Jerry's remark, his face settling into a scowl. "Good to know." He stated coldly.

However, Elena did bite her tongue when the question of shelter came around. Nervously, she shuffled in position, not wanting to admit to her predicament of not knowing where to go, but if there was an offer to be made of safety in numbers, of course she would take it. She'd be stupid not to. With a nonchalant shrug of her shoulders, she looked at Io. "Yeah, I suppose. I just haven't had much of a support group to speak of after losing my family and friends. So I tough it out. I kind of have to," she replied.

Look, she doesn't even have her weapon drawn, yet you're treating her like she's some sort of damn cretin! The girl's not stupid, unlike a certain someone I know." Stepping forward a bit, he started to address Elena. "So you really are traveling alone..." Dan went quiet for a second, pondering a few things as he examined the woman. "...You can join us if you agree to assist us. I shall gladly welcome any sensible person with more than half a brain."

Elena placed a hand to her chest to show that she was flattered by Dan's compliment. Finally, someone that wasn't going to treat her like some idiot just because she was alone. Her hand drifted from her chest to her neck to smooth her hair back as she took a step closer to him, smiling for the first time since she set foot in the building. "I think I'll take you up on that offer. Anything you need from me, don't hesitate to ask," she politely replied, offering a hand in case Dan wanted to shake on it.
