I have a lot of ideas for stories, but fanime takes a lot of time and devotion. I don't have a lot of time right now but maybe when I do I can put a little effort toward something.
Point of this thread though, what sort of things do you guys want to see more of? I have ideas from everything from magical groups and harems to scifi so I kinda need help narrowing it down. XD
Fantasy and romance are my strengths. owo; I'd love to say comedy but I feel my jokes are lame LOL
I can also do very mature and twisted themes and just tear my heart to pieces and cry as I draw too if that's what the public wants. </3
But in general, what sort of things can you never get enough of/want to see more? HALP.

Comedy is a very hard genre to pull off. At least it is to me. Most jokes in fanime just aren't my types of jokes and I don't find them funny in the slightest... maybe humbly entertaining, but not humorous. As I think of it, you don't want to be funny... it just sort of happens.
What I want to see is some cutting edge sci-fi that is mature. Not necessarily adult themes, just a mature story with mature concepts... if that makes sense.
Of course, I can't be the dictator, it's ultimately whatever you want.
Also, gritty action fanimes are pretty much nonexistent, so any of those would tickle me pink. Yeah, there's action in magical girl genres, but not the action I'm thirsty for.
Okay, I'll shut up now.

Magical stuff has been done so many times in fanime already. I've never seen a good harem before, or perhaps I just don't like that genre as a whole. Scifi sounds like it could be good, but it usually results in many talking scenes that drag out for too long as far as I've seen. I'm already attempting to make a comedy series so I guess I wouldn't be as interesting in seeing another one...
Since fantasy and romance seem to be your strengths then it would be safe to go with those!
As pilot said, action hasn't really been done so much, but that's possibly the hardest type of genre to pull of since it requires a lot of animation.

I love stories that yank at the heart. But you know what I still haven't seen pulled off? Creepy/horror. (I'm trying and it's not working for me yet, but I'm getting there. I tend to enjoy buildup too much). But yeah, I always prefer deep and profound opposed to humorous and light hearted, even if it makes me question existence or want to cry into a pillow. Everyone's different though haha. |

pilotobvious EXCUSE. NO SHUTTING UP HERE. I WANT TO HEAR MORE. >:C As long as you're ok with some perversion, you'd probably really like our Lotus story then haha. (I have to draw and design Mecha and Ships pilot, shoot me, please...) I'm apparently a funny person (I tend to think I'm just more goofy and my laughing at myself makes people laugh but this is just what people say), but when it comes to scripted humor... lol... I overthink it. Sooo maybe having a few little light hearted haha moments will suffice.  One upon a time I had a hardcore magical agents story (like, over 14 years ago... lol). One of the girls came in and filled in the leader position, and in the end when it was that critical moment where it was like "everyone trust me, give me your power", the cliche bit -- you realize that she was the real enemy all along and she killed everyone so the bad guys won the end there was no sequel. LMFAO. otakrap Harems are hard to pull off. I can develop characters like nobody's business but then I always get stuck in that position of "oh shit who do i choose for he/she to love?" XD Fantasy, Romance, Sick and Twisted.... Got it! ;D Sounds like a story I wrote down after a nightmare one night, maybe I really should develop it LOL! cassiroll EMOTIONAL STORIES MAN. CLANNAD ANYONE? HMMM? Creepy horror... are you meaning more in the mentally disturbed sense like "hello clarice" or more of the mentally "Wait WHAT that's messed up!" sort? XD Or just the overall creepy horror scenery and all that? o3o So far it seems like a scifi horror story with a twisted plot is the general image I'm getting.

I'd actually be interested in a harem fanime. Maybe a harem deconstruction fanime. I don't know. I guess you don't see many harems in fanime though.
