How do you go about choosing Opening and Ending themes for your Fanime?
I have some work that's non S.A.D.C and I need to find some sort of music for it. It's only a temp solution because I want to find some original music for it when I can look at it seriously, but for now, I was gonna put a song that's already out there for it, as a starting point. But How do you choose? XD I was wondering how you all choose yours and also just fancied a general discussion about what do you reckon is your favourite Fanime Op/Ed? which Op / Ed song suits which Fanime best? aaannd.... music ... stuff
I'm M.F by the way ^^ - I represent half of RandMmanga and run our account on here. R.R (the other half) iiiis... (looks over shoulder) ... in Midhurst... (that's a town in the U.K)

I WAS WAITING FOR A POST LIKE THIS!
*ahem* I'm not as musically inclined to make my own songs yet, but I've been trying. I also have been looking at deeper meanings of songs that match with what my fanime is about. I went through so many songs and I found one that I will be using for my opening.
As for my ending, as previously stated, I am not musically inclined, so I will try my best to make something attractive and mellow to ease the rough fast paced opening theme.

Ohhh, here's an interesting one. When it comes to looking for music, I try my best to look for music that would be best for the situation (Even if the music may seem over used, like Forest Maze, it's not to a point of too much over usage like the Sailor Moon outer them or some themes from Lucky Star. When comes to making music, I make really short melodies for future fanimes with Anvil Studio. And I used to have Widi Soft to convert MP3 files that I played music into Midis but SmartSuggestor (it's evil) fucked me over so now when I feel like I wanna do it, I can just used this website from converting Mp3 files to midi files: www.ofoct.com/audio-converter/convert-wav-or-mp3-ogg-aac-wma-to-midi.html and in order to make it more professional I convert that Midi file into Mp3 using this website: solmire.com/ (There was another website but it's getting the pop-up treatment now...) So, basically: MP3 -> Midi -> MP3

If I need a song, I'll make it. Otherwise I would pick a song I've already made.

I only choose copyright free songs. There are some musicians out there who create music solely for the people like me who want to use it in their videos and such. I'm not as musically inclined as my fellow animators. Composing music is just kind of, "Uhh what?" for me, but I have used MusicShake in the past to create short loops and stuff. I also used FL Studio and made two different songs on there... but that was about six years ago...? They weren't very good. LOL

A lot of fanime remixes Some dude who is considering PMing a couple of people about making more remixes of music by fanimators. ...some dude who wants you to SEND ME ALL OF YOUR ORIGINAL MUSIC AND MIDI FILES/VOCALS (If you have those) IN A PM PLS OMG

TENSHI OH MY GOD I'M LOSING IT. Anyhoo, Depending on my inspiration, I may use a copyrighted song so long as I'm ok with posting the video on another channel that isn't my main since I monetize my videos. I try and stick strictly to royalty free music in all videos though for convenience. There's a lotta good stuff out there! And also as Tenshi said, he makes music willingly for others so I've depended on him for a few tracks before (thatihaveyettousesobimsorry)! Also Aliens the show ending. I also would like to make my own music but so far I've only ever made one track with fl studio 3 years ago and I made a few in anvil studio recently. But they are not that great.

I would also like to thank the based tenshi for sending me different links to making piano chords because those have helped a lot. I put together a couple of chords to make a loop or two (that I think sound good) and then play them back. One day I hope to make ost as well as my own theme by using this method. Once again thank you based tenshi.

I use video game music, mainly from jrpgs.
I would adore making my own music, but have no idea where to start. I've never really taken any classes and I have no idea what I'm doing, bits there's something spacial about famines that use original tracks.

I plan to teach myself to compose at some point (probably will have to be in Tennessee) because I've taught myself everything.
Other than that I just use whatever. If it's copyright I make sure the worst I can get a way with is an ad, and still keep the video up. I also would try finding some smaller bands or music producers and, if they dont expressly say their stuff is royalty free, contacting them about using their music.

For 20 Galaxies I've made my own music ( Shooting Star is the opening and Beyond is the ending) but for Lady Unlucky -- should it become a full animation, I'm going to format it movie-style, so there won't be an opening or close to each part. Aside from that, I haven't had as much interest in creating music as I used to. I've been checking out Audiojungle which has some really good royalty-free songs -- but they're also pretty expensive! I think it's really cool that so many of you are composing your own soundtracks for your series! Have any of you thought of releasing a soundtrack album?

The opening sequence of Kaygeta & The Hotshot Gals - it was a cool groove 80s AOR rock music "She's Out With A Gun" by Van Zant, 1985. It does fit the right music of Kaygeta (the main role of the character) and her girlfriends. Yeaa, reminding like it was already a fanime action-packed series with old school but it not.. Just the show is about girl talks and stuff, no violence just comedy and romance show thing like a girl show.
The ending sequence is used by another AOR 80s rock music, I can't remember. Well I wanted to make epic of my videos as they can be - sometime I use to the oldies music from the 1900s to the 1980s/1990s, today music I don't know though. I use video game music, anime soundtrack, some hit song and etc what would fit to the right moment for the scene is happening. This could been a real hit of my fanime show to TV.
