Okay y'all, the fanime community is pretty dang small, but boy do we love each other. As tiny web animators, we band together for survivfal in the cold, desolate reaches of youtube, banding together to grow, and we have flourished. Not only do we produce content for our own series, we make amvs, and fanart for each other. Everyone loves making content and everyone loves receiving it.
That's why ii think we should expand our horizons.
Fanfiction is severely limited in this fandom, and i think that doesn't let a lot of people shine. I know for a fact there are a lot of great writers here- after all, every series needs a story! That's why i'm vouching for a fanfiction week. It'll be one week devoted to creating and promoting fanime fanfiction. Because hey- take a look, its in a book, it'd be fucking awesome amirite?
The way i see it there are two ways to go about this.
1. A secret santa thing. You can enter as many times as you want- more entries, more received content. Itd be good to spread the love to less popular series. You could still write additional fic too, i guess.
2. Free for all. This has the disadvantage of ending up being tilted towards popular series, but it also lets you do your thing, even if the fanimator you want to write for isn't participating.
Of course there are other options, so comment in the thread! A date can be decided later.
