A retold story of the Little Red Riding Hood. I don't want to spoil everything, seeing that I'm too lazy to create a trailer, but just to clear the some of the air; there will be humans, wolves, and exposition. Now I present the character roster... Cherie Ashwood: Edith Ashwood: Mika Ashwood:

Project RR is composed of three scenes or acts, similar to a letter, there is a beginning, middle, and end. I'd like to post each scene once they're finished, but it would be much better to finish the entire project itself and be done with it. I could be working on the project rather then typing all of this "stuff", but I'd like to increase my post number too ( ). I'll try to post the progress of the scenes completion every week, I'm hoping to have it finished before July 1st, 2015. Hoping to finish Scene 1 today. 0 Progress Report: - Scene 1: + Status: Ongoing + Voices: Completed + Animation: Completed + Shading:Completed + Coloring: 95% + Backgrounds: Pending + Visual Effects: Pending - Scene 2: + Status: Pending - Scene 3: + Status: Pending 0 Progress Report:

This whole week I've been "playing" Art Academy on the Nintendo DSi, I've learned a great amount of information about painting. As an amateur digital painter, I've finally established a basic foundation which will allow me to break down some confusion. To speed things up so I can start on Scene 2, I'll be taking the quantity over quality approach.
I'm hoping to have started on Scene 2 next week, sad face.

Plans went accordingly and I was able to complete Scene 1. Now it's time to rinse and repeat the process all over again. Storyboarding and animating is gained my interest once more, since backgrounds were becoming a drag, hoping to finish storyboarding and animating before next week. Look at that I only have approximately 4 weeks before July starts. I'm going into high gear with this one, but don't mistake that as a bad thing. Happy Fourth of July, Independence Day!

My last week's plans were unconsciously put on a hiatus, so no progress towards Scene 2 was made at all. I've been trying to adjust myself to a new animation program, "Program A", so I don't have to rely on an glitchy and crash prone program, "Program B. The thing is I've been storyboarding Project RR using "Program B", but now I've got a better more worthy program. Only thing left is to replicate brushes from "Program B" and put them on "Program A", so I can have the same feel with a more reliable program. These next three weeks are going to make or break this Project, as reality tv would say, but I've got this. Have a good week everyone.

Along with working, I've been making a few changes for Project: RR, here are the new changes. I looked over the script and decided that ending the film at Scene 2 would be better for everyone. In other news, I'll be continuously editing this post, so I can update the percentages. Next week is my last full week before I hit the deadline, which is the beginning of July.
I finished the storyboard for Scene 2 this week. I changed things up a bit this time, rather then starting on the animation process I began on the backgrounds. Happy to say I'm getting better at painting backgrounds. I can't wait to finish this so I can give credit to the people that helped through the pre-production process.
6'18'2k15: For this week's plans I'm hoping to finish backgrounds and get started on animating before next Thursday, which will be the last time I post commentary. After animating, shading will take place and then visual effects... visual effects will be a piece of cake.
6'20'2k15: Backgrounds are now complete, the animating process will be the last notable step towards finishing this project. I was able to complete these backgrounds within 3 - 5 days, so the probability of completing the animation is about one week or longer. I hope I'm wrong about that, but I'll post a more accurate prediction when Thursday, June 25th, rolls around.
6'23'2k15: I updated the animation progress to a whoping 0.01%... yes... the word "workaholic" describes me perfectly. Not even GermX has exclusive access at disinfecting this. Aside from the tasteless jokes, I've done some calculating and I "believe" it is "possible" to finish animating before Thursday. That is if I go two days straight without distractions and am allowed access to an offline database of good music that is set on shuffle and repeat. There are so many ways I could approach this animation part, but they all sound good in theory. I'll see everyone Thursday, don't expect anything "new" until then. Thanks for reading the jokes, heh.
6'27'2k15: Started animating this morning, hoping to reach 60% from the 33%, since Thursday & Friday didn't allow me the chance.
6'29'2k15: 61%...could've been finished if I just... no... I regret nothing.

Although I completed the minimum goal and got a head start with animating, it won't suffice. Animating from Tuesday through Wednesday and 8 hours each, I was able to reach around one quarter of the way. I was hoping to finish before today, but that was a half-baked estimation.
For this final week's plans, I'm hoping to finish the entire Project before the beginning of July. The possibilities of not meeting this goal hasn't crossed my mind. I'll try to post progress updates, between now and June 30th.
Once "Project RR", is completed I'll change the name of the film, post the video link, and organize this thread accordingly. Thanks again to all who took the time to follow this log. I wish you much fortune in your current and future endeavors.

As of today, Project RR is complete. Here is the link to the thread that will contain the film. The Chronicles of Cherie: The Little Red Riding HoodI was hoping to rename this thread and move it to the "Finished Visual Projects" section, but even if that were possible I'd need to inherit such privileges. To simplify matters, the link to a new thread has been posted. If an administrator is available, I'd appreciate it if this thread was locked. Thanks.
