I posted this on Tumblr but then I considered the possibilities of it getting more response on here.
I have my cast already selected for episode 1, but I am still in need for a few things relating to cast. I will list them in order of importance, but at least the first two are imperative. If you want to be involved, post examples of your work here and message me your Skype, and I will add you in the cast and crew chat where I will talk with you.
Extras!
I have a few emails from people who have auditioned, but I do want a list of people I can email in case I write some extra roles here and there. I will probably email you saying what I need and then you will reply saying what you can and want to do. There may even be a rap battle role, and if you want to do that, I will have to direct you in a Skype call, like I have been doing for other cast members.
Music!
Obviously, I will need some music for the rap battles, and I am hoping to see if I can get some specifically made for the show! If not, I’m sure there are plenty of royalty free hip hop beats I can use, but I would love to know anyone who makes any sort of techno or hip hop music. I will also want someone who can play guitar for certain scenes, or even provide basic background music at some points. I will probably ask for an opening and/or ending theme too, so if you can provide any of those things, let me know!
Writers!
No, I’m not asking for someone to write episodes for me, that’s not it. What I do want though is some people I can talk with to help develop the rap battles and the lyrics used. I feel like if I have help and collaboration on the lyrics, I will probably not find myself so stuck. I could try and do this alone, but I would probably be lacking on quality and it would take me longer than necessary. Then again, once I post the scripts, we will have public discussion anyway, so any suggestions on what to do will probably be in there.
Background Artists!
Once again, this isn’t necessary, but it will help with time issues. I will probably draw the initial backgrounds myself, like say a sketch or something to show what it will look like, and then maybe someone can draw or paint it? I’m not sure on this one, but if I don’t have someone to do art for me, it may end up looking similar to the backgrounds in Tokyo Fetish Mew, in that the colours of the background are one colour with different tones and it’s very simple. This really depends on if I can get anyone.
Inbetweeners/Frame Colourers!
This is probably the least needed role, since I am perfectly comfortable in just using keyframes to illustrate movement, as well as very limited lipsync, but if there is anyone out there that wants to do inbetweens at some point, you’re more than welcome to volunteer. Frame colouring is also something I could do by myself, but if someone wants to do shading and light, that’s all well and good. I will decide whether or not it needs shading, but it’s just an idea I’m throwing out here.
If you have any other talents that you think may help, shoot me a message and I’ll see if I have any need for it.
