This, my friends, is exactly what it sounds like!
The concept is as simple as the title - give a picture, and then get one in return!
That said, each post should contain a given picture, and then an idea or prompt for another picture,
which someone else will then give alongside their request, and so on.
Naturally, every picture must be original, so to fulfill a request you have to draw it yourself.
That said, this is just a silly forum game, so you don't have to spend too much time on the drawing - it
certainly shouldn't take more than half an hour or so.
All character requests must be for original characters, and as a general rule you should
be careful about requesting anything too elaborate, since these are meant to be quickly made.
I s'pose I'll add that you can only request one character at a time.
References are nice, but a basic description will also work just fine, and the more you
leave up to the giver's imagination, the more fun it'll be to see the result, no?
The next request will always belong to the person who fulfilled the previous request first. That means
subsequent pictures of the same request do not get to make requests of their own. To avoid multiple people
drawing the same request, be sure to post and reserve the request before you start drawing. When your
picture is finished, you should then edit the reserve post to add the finished picture and your request.
Any reserve that is not fulfilled within 24 hours will be considered void.
A person who previously posted a void reserve will then have half the time to complete their next picture.
If they fail to do so again, their next deadline is again halved, and so on.
A properly filled request should display an acceptable amount
of effort. Just because we're drawing quickly doesn't mean stick men are valid entries. (Unless the request is a stickman. o.O)
You don't have to be super skilled or anything, but we have to be able to tell that you tried.
I think that's everything, then.
Now, if I can count my miserable banner / logo thing above as a give, I shall
proceed to make the first request!
The starting prompt shall be...
Draw the girl in the thread's title picture! You can feel free to give her a name, too...
*For the convenience of the forum and our members, everyone participating in Give One Take One MUST host their completed picture on the image hosting sites Imgur or Gyazo. All references for your own characters may be hosted wherever you'd like, but for reliability's sake, please host all images drawn for another member at the websites above.
