((Oh, look. I'm late as heckie.))
Odessa closed her eyes while holding up her staff to charge it up. When the staff was ready for battle, she had adapted to a fighting stance. Her senses were sharpened. "Alright, Fallen! Come at m-!"
And then an arrow came towards her.
Quickly, she dashed out of the way. So, Fallen hadn't hesitated to attack her. Now this was battle!
The orb in her staff had glowed a blinding white, leaving the leaves to the mercy of the wind. She would strike, but it was out of her control now. All she could do was steer it in the right direction. "Frightening Luminous!" she cried, letting the attack go.

"Sure thing! We may have to find a safe place so we won't hurt a lot of people."
Mimisko gently hold onto Nicolas's hand (with the hand that doesn't have have the flame surrounding it.) and took him to the right of the church. They both took 3 feet away from the church while still being in the right side
Mimisko let go so his hand, stand 18 inches to the opposite side of him, points the finger with the flame on it to the sky, and said
"Okay, let's begin the training!"
The flame became bigger and she shoots it up in the air. However, it then began falling down to where Nicolas is at. Mimisko thought to herself.
"Hopefully, Nicolas knows how to defend himself from falling flames."

"Ya know, like the ability to be around people, I suppose," she scratched at her ears, "I've been away for awhile now, so I don't know if I exactly remember how to act properly." Her eyes close momentarily as she shakes her head, "Oh well, what do you do, Altheron? It seems everyone here is bestowed with some kind of crazy skill..." while speaking, her long nails inch toward his hair as she drew her hand closer, clearly forgetting her niceties once more at her sudden impulse. It would seem she was making an attempt to stroke his hair, but is wavering on whether or not it is appropriate to do so.

Rylan looked up from the bowl he was grinding and mashing his ingredients in to see Celty standing over him. He set his bowl down and stood up to greet her.
"Uh, hello Celty. Hello Oxy. I'm Rylan. It's a pleasure to meet you."
He held his hand out for a handshake
"You were watching the fight, huh? Got anything snarky to say like the others?"

"The ability? Was that not what I was doing? Was there something I was doing wrong?" Altheron questioned. People were all very new to him. The most he had seen of humankind was when his spirit guides would occasionally let him peer through a gateway or two into The World of the Living or- of course- when he looked in a mirror. He was not aware that there were certain cues to pick up on when interacting with those like him. He now sought for a different purpose; to do all he could to fit in with his brethren....
Wait, he was distracting himself. Ooro had clearly asked him a question. A question about him.....
"OH, I....," he started, struggling to find the words,"can talk to spirits. They are my guides as well as my family. When I fight, I call upon them to assist me in battle." He paused for a minute.
We went back to thinking about his new goal. He figured he'd start small, getting to know this guild one person at a time, starting with Rylan- oh, where did he go? Altheron was too mesmerized by the strange animal woman hulking over her that he didn't realized Rylan let go of his hand quite a while ago. Nevertheless, he still was going to live out his mission. Looking toward the fights, he grew exhausted at the thought of getting between the sets of opponents spread out before him, but at the same time intrigued at the levels of skill some of his new companions possessed.....
Nice. He instead went inside the church, completely deserting Ooro. Whether or not that was against this "ability" that he lacked, he kept walking anyway. He'd eventually get better at this. Looking around the ruins, Altheron caught a glimpse of Rylan in the corner, occupied with mixing some mess of ingredients. He also was talking to yet another animal lady and her child. Altheron walked past the scene as he did not want to risk talking to all of them, especially not the little one. He was never good with young spirits. He kept scanning the room for more people when his eyes landed on a particular armored female......

Celty started at the hand for a moment before slowly raising a gloved paw to shake it. She morphed it slightly beneath the cloth to become more human so it wouldn't be as awkward if a shake.
"Of course not," she breathed. "I am here to make allies. I already have far too many enemies."
She wondered if it was too soon to ask her next question, but figured better now then never. "The fearens...what do you think of them?" She felt Oxy tense on her back.

"The fearens? Well, considering I'm here to be a part of the Shadow Slayers, I'd assumed my opinion on them was clear. Ever since they showed up, Ignis has been in absolute turmoil. I'm hoping we can get rid of them and perhaps rebuild society. How we go about that, however, is up to Kama."

The attack surged towards Fallen. Unlike Odessa did with his attack, Fallen didn't dodge. The light engulfed him, a torrent of twigs, bone, and leaves with it. When the light eventually died down, it appeared as though Fallen hadn't sustained any injuries. He was, however, prepared with another arrow, firing it at Odessa without delay.
Y-yikes... it's a good thing I put down that dust. The dust that Fallen was referring to were actually rocks that gave off magnetic waves that distorted space around him. Any magical attack or projectile in contact with the field would simple go around Fallen. Simple.
Fallen hoped that to Odessa, it would seem as though her attack had no effect; that it wasn't strong enough to faze him. If not that, at the very least he hoped it would give off the impression that he could erect barriers or something.
Unfortunately, the field had it's weaknesses. Anyone close enough would be able to see that the air around Fallen was almost swirling. Once noticing that the area in that small radius was making their attack null, all the enemy would have to do was displace Fallen to make the area ineffective.
Fallen planted his feet in the ground. He wouldn't use his full strength, but he had to end this before Odessa found out.

I don't mean to sound like an optimist, because trust me I'm not, but attacking them has never seemed to work. Their numbers are strong. Ours used to be, but not anymore." Celty knew she was talking about this subject in a dangerous way, but if she couldn't plant the idea that some fearen's might be less hostile than others, her child would never have a chance in the world. Neither side would want him. She didn't even know how many years left she had before the witch she had made a pact with would come to claim the last half of her lifespan. And then Oxy's cloak might as well be unchanted if he didn't have allies to rely on. She bit her lip and continued, "This is just an idea...but perhaps we should find a way to communicate with them? Find out what their goals are? Maybe a more passive approach is the way to win this war."

Rylan raised an eyebrow at Celty.
"Well, the few encounters I've had with Fearen, they've attacked me first. I try to avoid conflict if I can, but seeing as the Fearen's numbers continue to grow and ours diminish, i decided it may be time to take action, rather than watch the world slowly decay."

Celty stared for a moment, unable to think of another way to defend her statement. Oxy tugged at her hair and she looked over at him.
"Mama, play?"
Celty smiled warmly at him and lowered him to the ground. She took out a small ball and sat on the floor beside him. She looked at Rylan and held out the ball. "Would you like to play catch with us? I can't think of another way to pass the time as these fights finish up."

"Well, I would, but I'm making some casting paste for when everything is over. That way, if there are any wounds, I can patch them up so we're all at our best performance when we start an ACTUAL task."
Rylan sat back down and picked up his bowl, when he looked at Oxy and felt a bit guilty.
"Eeeeeh I'm sure the fights will take awhile before they have any clear winners. I can work on the paste in a bit."
Rylan set his bowl down and took the ball, which he softly tossed to Oxy.

With the gloves protecting her hands from the intense heat of the sword, she positioned herself for attack and charged toward him, hoping to swing at him diagonally from lower right to upper left. "no backing out now!" Enoch watched her curiously as the sword flashed into existence, humming and raising an eyebrow. A summoner? The lack of weapon but the metal armor suddenly made so much more sense to him. "It's a good thing for me that you never surpassed basic summoning," he stated. Summoners were scary business when it came down to spirits and elementals. He eyed the sword warily, noting its odd color. It appears to be a physical weapon at least. Well I suppose it's not a big deal that I've forgone barriers at the moment then. Using both illusory and barrier magic would be inefficient and draining, as well as a major clue that he was not truly an earth mage. It's not like a barrier would've done anything more than thin air would have for his protection against a physical attack. Enoch quickly readied himself as Gaynor charged him and watched her movements warily. As she approached he immediately spun his glaive to try and deflect her blow as he leapt back and to the left, kicking up a cloud of dust as he scraped the bottom of the glaive off the ground and into the air. "Don't worry, I have no intention of it!"

Daryn felt eyes watching her as she stood idly. Sighing, she turned around to see the boy from earlier. "Uh... Hello there." She said awkwardly. She didn't like his wide-eyed staring. "Is there something you need?"
