Luair had gained partial consciousness. She couldn't see neither hear well but could tell someone was holding her. She slowly made an attempt to speak.
'My bag- there is a- silver...' she said.
What she was talking about was a fragment of a runic stone; the ones that were illustrated in her book. If it was in contact with her she would be able to resonate with its energy and transfer some to herself. This would allow her to breathe a little better, but the wounds were another story. There was a cooling feeling on her chest now, a large difference to the earlier pain. It calmed her irregular breathing but it wouldn't be enough. The stone would certainly speed up the healing process, and without it she was looking at a deep, long rest.

Zerah sat outside of the castle doorway, unsure of what was to come. This guild was so disfunctional, so irritable, and everyone seemed to have secrets they'd rather keep to themselves, Zerah being no different. He stared outward toward the grassy field, a wave of tranquility briefly washing over him. "At least, when I'm gone, nature won't be." He whispered to himself Run. A voice entered the imp's head. Run away. It's what you always do. Zerah looked down at the floor, not trying to fight with the voice in his head. They won't forgive you. They'll just kill you and be done with it! You were a fool to enter this guild! Zerah remained silent, and continued to stare off into space. "Yeah. You're right." He finally spoke up. What?? The mask seemed confused "You're absolutely right. They will probably kill me. I should run away like the coward I've always been. But you know what? Who cares.." The mask stayed silent as the imp continued on. "If they don't kill me, something else out there will. Whether it's you, whether it's the fearen, whether it's my own idiocy. Eventually, something will kill me, so why try and avoid it? Might as well get it over with now, right? No use trying to run away from this inevitability anymore." Zerah's voice was riddled with sadness. "Once I do die, you get what you want. You get my body." The mask remained silent, as did Zerah. ...What do we do now..? The mask finally spoke up again. "Nothing." Is all Zerah could say. {Spoiler - Click to View}

"Collars." Pinky said without a moment's hesitation. Despite the obvious fulfillment of the metaphor, they would serve as the most practical solution - always visible. Moreover, it fulfilled another metaphor that Pinky didn't bother to state out loud. The collars would serve as a constant reminder that she had them by the throat. Ordinarily it would take Pinky days to finish an enchantment of the magnitude that she had in mind, but for this situation she intended to use two of her three imbued seeds, which each carried several days' stored power. She would be able to create the spells as soon as Fallen fashioned the accessories.

He barely payed any mind to Luair's statements earlier, but seeing her condition made him reconsider his actions. He reached into her bag, pulling out a glowing silver stone, and placed it in Luair's hand, clasping it to prevent it from falling off. He pushed a chair over to the bed to monitor her condition, praying she would make it. She had sweets and other good morsels to wake up to, and someone to talk to. Then again, seeing her peaceful face was a nice change of pace from the frantic events that transpired. Nothing would hurt her in this state, and he would defend her to his last breath to protect that. It was an incredibly odd feeling to experience, but it wasn't entirely unwelcome. Maybe this feeling was the reason his dad stayed with his mother despite everything against him... love.

Fallen nodded in affirmation. He moved his fingers, forming the cloud of metal into two separate collars, one for Celty, and one for Oxy. When he was finished, he floated the two accessories in front of the suit of armor so that they could be enchanted. Fallen almost felt bad for the inhumanity of their actions - forcing people to wear collars - but soon abandoned the feeling. This wasn't about ethics. It was about keeping the best interests of the guild in mind. Besides, not only would it protect us, but it would also protect them.
"I'm finished." He said.

As she turned her attention away the words slowly began to make sense. "Wha-" His voice was almost inaudible as he found the meaning to all those sounds. "Why, help me?" Between everything going on it was too much, just weight piled on top of more weight. His body began to shake vehemently. His eyes overflowing, tears flooding out and down his face. While he was a patient person, this was definitely more than he bear. Completely unable to maintain the polite and well intentioned facade he attempted to put up around others his voice rose more than he intended. "What do you mean?! I just don't understand what's going on anymore! After all that happened yesterday, I don't know what's going on! I didn't sign up for this! Allies could have killed me, or any one of us at anytime, I can't do this anymore!" His head sunk behind his knees as he realized just how loud he had been. Having so many people that could possibly see him acting so weak made him feel sick. Cowering into the wall Rezza waited for the torrent of insults and ridicule that was certain to come. " Rezza?!" Manasa's attention snapped back towards the healer. she knelt down in front on him, moving to hold him before stopping. Her hands hovered by his shoulders. She was afraid to touch him, afraid that he would take such an action as an attack or that it would only make matters worse. Comforting people was not her strong suit, back in the forest with Rylan all she could do was hug him to try and console the priest but now that was not an option. "Rezza, shhh..." Manasa looked around at the rest of the guild members in the room, half looking for help and half trying to gauge their reactions. She turned back towards the small man and spoke again, trying to make her voice as calming as possible. "We're trying to work things out... so that we can all trust each other. Um..." Manasa lowered her hands and shifted into a more comfortable position, gathering the courage to lightly touch Rezza on the top of his hand. " I'll protect you. It must be horrible not feeling like you can defend yourself, it isn't fair."

Oxy remembered the chains from the crib him and Ooro had stumbled upon and yelped, clawing up into Celty's arms and looking at the collar like a death sentence."Oxy, it's ok," she told him. He whimpered softly into her shoulder. She felt completely helpless. What could she do? No one would take pity on them. Demanding for better could cost their lives at this point.

After the meeting in the dungeon (which she had stayed completely silent during) and wen everyone had begun to spread out and do their own thing, Galystris decided to do hers too. Alone. This was becoming to be too much. Galystris was rather adept at keeping her mind clear and knowing what and how she felt most of the time, but the situation with Celty, Oxy, and Zerah. Had her mind completely occupied. She thought back to all the things Zerah had said to her. It hurt a lot, sure, but it's not like it was the first time she'd heard those things. She would deny it was her fault and continue on with little thought of what the person had said normally, but she was just tipped over the edge. Galystris had no clue as to why this left her so emotionally vulnerable, and she hated every second of it, as she would be weakened if a pack of fearen were to show up. She knew she had to clear her head. She headed back to the table and poured herself a glass of wine--a rather strong one at that. She knew it wasn't the 'right way' but she had to cope with this somehow. She made her way outside and stood against the side of the castle, not too far from the front. She placed the glass to her lips and sighed. Was this really what she was doing? She took a drink and pushed all guilt away. She'd be better in no time, right?

It must be horrible not feeling like you can defend yourself, it isn't fair." The sound of his name caused Rezza to flinch, his ears tensing back. His breath faltered as he waited for what would surely come next. They would all laugh, telling him to stop being so weak, and drive him away. He was useless. He was still weak. All this time he never really did change. The words that followed next caught him entirely off guard with their gentle tone, causing his breath to become shaky. An outside touch caused him to jump slightly, a small shocked noise escaping him. Hesitantly he raised his head, a rather tense look of fear and worry on his face, to see Manasa before him. His ears moved forward a bit and his expression loosened up as he put together that she, somehow, had no intent to beat him down verbally. Her words coming as a shock. "Wha-" Through staggered pants and ragged breaths he attempted to speak, his voice wavering and weak. "Wh- Why?" Questions ran thick through his mind. He really was helpless, everyone else was right. Surely this was no place for him, all his life he was only dependent on others. His entire goal being solely to gain the admiration of everyone for his own benefit. It was truly no different than what he was like before, no different than Rezza Flore who could never stand alone in this world. This whole time he never once thought to question why anyone would continue to carry his weight. "I'm just-" An exasperated chuckled bubbled up from his lungs. "I'm just dead weight. Heh- Haha, Why? Why even bother?"

"I'm just dead weight. Heh- Haha, Why? Why even bother?" Enoch stared over at the healer in surprise, trying to comprehend his words. He honestly couldn't blame him for getting so worn down at this point. Hell, most of the guild members were probably well on their way to their breaking point after all this. But he couldn't fathom why Rezza would think he's dead weight after saving several of their lives, including his own. Not only that but... the ability to use healing magic was all the priest could possibly wish for. The ability to actually help others and save lives, like his mother could, like some of the other priests could. It seemed so wonderful to him.
"Rezza," Enoch replied calmly. "If you had not been there with us, several of us would most likely dead." A chill ran down his spine. "I don't understand how you could even be considered deadweight when many of us owe our well-being to you. Your specialty may not be fighting, but that doesn't make you any less valuable." Alroth's words echoed in his head, She was right.

Kama raised his bleeding arm that was hit by the statue Clarissa attacked him with and said "Back in my day if you nearly killed your own guild leader you'd be executed immediately. She's lucky that she's even allowed to stay in the guild after what she did. This punishment might seem harsh but we need to do this for our own safety. We can't afford to let this happen again. We'll only use these enchanted collars when absolutely necessary. They'll be free to move around and do as they please as long as Celty keeps her promise and doesn't leave our sight, and I'll make sure no one harms them, especially Oxy. As for teamwork I don't feel as if now is the time to discuss this. Grudges and mistrust are worse now than ever before. I don't think anyone is in the mood for holding hands and bonding time. We need some time to cool down." While he waited for Alroth, Fallen, and Manasa to finish giving Celty and Oxy their collars Kama answered Mimisko's question "Now on to what other information I have. This time it's good news. I've been given information on where the fearens come from. There's a gigantic summoning circle that's been discovered underground, underneath the Aredon Temple just north of this castle. It's a safe bet that the fearens are being summoned there. This temple happens to be in the direction that Valdus's footprints have been leading to. My guess is that Valdus found out about this temple because he knew this was the key to defeating the fearens. If we can destroy the summoning circle we just might be able to rid the world of fearens, but it's also likely that Aredon temple is where the fearen leader is staying so it won't be easy. In other words our next fight just might be our final battle. We might be able to save Oxy."

The small healer's body shook as he heard another voice echo his name. His eyes darted to find the source, stopping on the elf as he delivered his response. The reactions he had received so far only seeming confusing and uncharacteristic to him. How could others not find his overwhelming weakness as disgusting as they should be? How could they be so supportive? Why weren't things like this then? Why couldn't they have been like this? Sobs began to overtake his body, causing him to convulse, as tears continued pouring from his eyes. 'Why couldn't it have been like this?' For a moment he was speechless unable to understand the reason that he was being treated like this. The reason that he was never treated this way by others he had known from the outside. "Wh-A- All that matters is being strong..." His voice stumbled back out of his mouth, more broken than before. "Resilience." Rezza paused on that word for a second. To think he really believed he finally had what others said he was missing. As he huddled into the wall in hysterics, his weakness on display for anyone to see, he felt truly foolish for ever thinking that. With the next sentence he uttered he could feel his stomach turn, the very thought stung him. "Only the strong can really live..." 'So I might as well give up. All the weak can do is just survive.' His gaze fell to his knees as he continued to shake.

She could feel the stone now, inbetween her hands. She used what strength she had to not lose grip and some of the energy began to flow to her. The last time she had done this was years ago, some time after her coronation. {Spoiler - Click to View} Luair's crowning had brought some concerns from the people. Her mother and father were considered to be strong in their own right, able to lead and reassure their people; to make them feel safe from the fearen. At Luair's birth and eventual growth, they thought to her as a liability. The only thing she inherited from her parents, they would say was her features. Although her parents attempted to curb these sayings, Luair heard and took in every word. Somehow she wanted to become stronger, but had the littlest idea of how to do this.
One day in her moss garden, she shed tears not out of sadness but the frustration she was experiencing. At that moment a page boy who lived in the castle approached her, having lost his way but was uncaring of this fact.
'What are you doing?' he asked.
'Everyone says I am weak and I do not want to be.' she replied.
'Well then use your runic energy and grow tall, tall TALL!' he raised his hands in the air as he said this.
'But our kind are not very tall.' Luair pointed out.
'We don't need to be when we have the runes backing us up! Listen I've gotta spell that I snuck off some magician, I was gonna try it but I suppose you need it instead.'
The boy handed her a torn sheet from a book. There were written instructions and illustrations complimenting them.
'I will do this.' Immediately she took what she had kept stored in her body and converted it into the spell...
Luair awoke still in pain, but her runic levels back to normal. She noticed that Osseus was beside her. 'Thank you Osseus..' she said, realising he had saved her from a dark fate. She tried to sit up, but the wounds were still a problem. She winced a little and laid back down. 'Osseus, please find Rezza. These injuries are worse than I thought. I should be alright for the time being with this here. I did not want the others to worry so I tried to eliminate the hounds myself, but I got ahead of myself, thinking I could be strong..' She coughed then continued, 'And tell Celty and Oxy that they were not the cause for my injuries. I do not want to contribute to their pain. I cannot swing the decision at this point, but please let me have this one thing.' She smiled at him, 'You are the greatest ally I could ever have and will ever have Osseus.'

"This isn't about the guild." Alroth said, taking the collars in both hands and raising them close to his helmet. Pinky stepped out through the facemask where she could reach, carrying two large seeds with her. "This isn't about feelings, nor cruelty..." she continued to speak, holding one seed up to the first collar and silently casting the enchantment. "This is about the entire world." Once the first was finished, the pixie continued on to enchanting the second collar. "Another slip like this - at the wrong moment - could decide whether or not we succeed." she said firmly. By now, both enchantments were finished. "We can't take any chances." she concluded, promptly ducking back inside of her massive armor.
Alroth stepped forward and held out the collars to the mother and child, offering them the chance to put them on themselves. It was a much more civil method than what Pinky would have preferred, but she regrettably had to consider human feelings a variable in this situation, and needed to be as kind - though stern - as possible. No matter how sickening.
What Pinky neglected to mention was the exact nature of the enchantment she had used. While it did indeed serve the purpose that Kama had intended, there was another aspect to the collars that the pixie didn't intend to tell anyone about. The spell was designed in a way that it would restrict the target almost completely, but the more the affected resisted the spell, the more it would restrict them. If the two complied with the spell's paralysis (when it was activated) there would be no problems, but if they fought against it too much, the holding effect could become life-threatening. An additional spell was attached to each collar that affected how they fit. The binds would be snug, but not tight, and always maintain that principal no matter what. This meant that they would always fit just right, and the shapeshifters would only have been able to get out of them with severe changes to body constitution.
A strong enough magic user could have dissipated these spells, but doing so successfully - because of the nature of Pinky's handiwork - was akin to solving a very difficult puzzle. Removing the spells required a sort of magic cipher that only Pinky had, and would be difficult to replicate without making mistakes - mistakes which would cause the paralysis spell to activate. These enchantments clearly had not been made spontaneously, but surely had been planned ever since Pinky had suggested them the night before. She wasn't cutting any corners.

Zerah had planned to remain outside of the castle until someone came out to tell him to leave or just kill him, but his hunger began to get the best of him. His stomach rumbled, the noise surprising him a bit. Using all his magic to create that enormous arm to hold down Celty as well as give it enough power to create the indent in the floor he had took a lot out of the imp. He needed some sort of nourishment. No use dying on an empty stomach.
The imp trudged back inside, taking a quick glance to notice that Galystris had been outside drinking wine, but didn't have the motivation to say anything to her, much less ask her what happened during the meeting. The imp dragged himself inside and sat himself down near the front entrance. He glanced over at Daryn who seemed very irritated. he couldn't really blame her, given what transpired today. He noticed Osseus and Luair seemingly having a tender moment. The imp smiled a bit in their direction, but they were most likely caught up in other business, so he didn't expect the same gesture. Instead, he peered across the table, looking for something edible.
The table was a disaster, no thanks to him running across it when Manasa outted Clarissa. Zerah noticed some bread over near Osseus, Daryn and Luair, but decided to weigh his other options before taking the chance of engaging in any sort of social interaction. All the meat had been seemingly eaten by Kama and the others, and many of the fruits were either crushed or fallen on the dusty castle floor. The bread seemed to be Zerah's best choice, so he begrudgingly made his way towards the small group, looking down at the floor as to not make eye contact with any of them.
"Uh..excuse me..I hope this isn't anyone's.." Zerah finally choked out as he reached for the bread.
The imp grabbed the food, not waiting for the group to respond, and slowly made his way back to the seat nearest the entrance. Zerah began to bite into the bread, it having gone a bit stale from being out so long. It was a bit unpleasant, but it was Zerah's most favorable option at this point. Zerah reached over to a half empty wine bottle, seeing as nobody seemed to be drinking it anymore, and downed the entire thing. He ate the rest of his bread in pure silence, sitting at the table for quite some time after he had finished, seemingly in a daze.
