'Why is that?' she asked, not understanding what she meant. 'I do not have much to offer by myself.'
Luair took in the advice that was presented to her, nodding along the way as he talked. At this rate, it didn't sound all that impossible to thank Osseus for his efforts. She looked up at them both, now much more elated.
'What about cake? I have heard it is very delicious here.' She placed her hand near her mouth in thought then said, 'But how exactly can I make that?'
Luair's little knowledge on things extended to the commonplace, and she'd always have the same puzzled face when upon a discovery. She had that same face that moment.

Manasa blinked in confusion before a giggle escaped her lips. during all of her travels throughout this land she had never found somebody who knew of the peculiar fruit- though this was one of the wittiest alternatives she had been delivered. "Of course!" she replied. Manasa picked up one of the cocoa beans curiously, having never encountered one before. She bit into it, only to quickly spit the bean back out and turn her attention back towards the boiling rice. She took it off the heat and then began cooking a mixture of milk and butter, hoping to graze over her mishap with the cocoa. "You don't eat it whole, you have to cook it in with a lot of sugar and butter!" He ran over and tried to heave over a bag of sugar before opting to just scoop it up a bowl and bring it over. He scowled at himself, wondering how so many tiny little grains could be so heavy. He brought the bowl over, sliding it near the pot. "The more sugar and butter you put in, the sweeter the chocolate is. Sometimes it gets so sweet that it's gross, so moderation is key. You have to grind them up and mix it in." He explained. He drooled slightly at the thought of chocolate pudding, then remembered who the pudding was really for. Hopefully Luair would like chocolate, even if it was in a softer form.

Manasa thought as she began to fold sugar and rice into the mixture. She broke open a seed pod of cardamon, curious as to why it was tucked away in a rather expensive looking box. Was the spice really that rare outside the desert? "We could drizzle it on top, like syrup," The Vishkanyan then suggested. She procured another pot and placed it other the hearth for Osseus' use, turning to the thief with a smile. "Why don't you teach me how to make chocolate?"

"My witch stuff?" The question brought her out of her anger and she looked back at him with a wide grin. "Why, do you want to make a contract?" She laughed at this like it was the funniest thing before turning back to him and choosing to explain properly. "It can be a bit hard to explain. My magic comes from me--my soul, or whatever the hell it is. My host has nothing to do with it. I use my host's body as a tool to channel that energy, but it can take a heavy toll on the body, especially for non-magic users. I'm sure you're familiar with the purple substance Celty's been hacking up. That's why even if someone wanted to make a contract with me for a longer period of time to get a greater wish, they can't. Their bodies wouldn't be able to handle having me in them for more time than I already am. But back to wishes--that's the thing everybody is really is interested in," she spun her fingers in the air and a small golden dust shimmered for a moment before dissipating. "I can grant a wish for someone that goes past my normal limitations if they make a contract with me. There are rules in place that I understand exist, but don't quite know why. For example, I cannot extend a person's life or bring back the dead--usually at least." Her face grew darker for a moment. "That sort of thing comes at a price and can't be done often. Anyways, I won't dwell on that." She waved her hand dismissively. "The power of your wish is determined solely by the amount of life you have left. Celty was already middle aged by the time she came to me. And with a shorter life span in general, her wish was very limited. She originally asked me to make him a normal shapeshifter, but she didn't meet the requirements for such a large wish." She tried to think if there were any other important details she was missing. It'd been awhile since she'd made an honest contract and it was hard to think of everything on the spot. "I am not able to extend the periods of time I live in a host. The contract is set and I don't have control over that aspect of it. During the times I am in control, I sustain the host's body with my magic. If I didn't do this, their bodies would give out at the halfway mark since their life force was used as a key ingredient to their wish. In a way, I prolong their shortened lives by using their bodies." She sighed and looked upwards at the ceiling, spinning more golden dust in the air. "If I could just possess a body without a contract, none of my woes would have come to pass. But I need consent. I can't just fling myself into the body or a dog or a fresh corpse. I've tried, and it didn't end well for either of us." She frowned and gold dust vanished again. "You seem to have trouble with your magic." She stated, suddenly. Rezza chuckled quietly as the witch laughed, he didn't know the whole meaning behind it but it sure sounded like one hell of a question. As Clarissa spoke, wishes and rules and whatnot, he watched silently. A small indication of a smile on his lips. Something like this was just what he needed. He let his hand hang limply in the air above his head as he watched her create some strange golden mist. It was certainly not something he had seen before, the stuff she spoke of seemed rather fascinating. Thinking back to her question he could tell it was a joke, but a sincere offer like that he felt one would have to be rather stupid to pass up. His eyes followed the strange flecks of gold that hung in the air, blinking in surprise once they vanished. The witch's final statement caused his face to grow hot as embarrassment formed a large rock in his stomach. "Oh." The healer let his arm fall as he responded with a nervous chortle. "Y- Yeah... It's never really come to me that naturally. A year to even learn how to use it three more on top of that to learn how to use lower level abilities without assistance." With a huff Rezza let his feet slide across the ground until his legs laid flat. "Of course, I already knew trying anything that wasn't low cost would not work well, let alone something strong enough to fix any of this... I really shouldn't have thought it'd be any different. The people who taught me how to even use the magic I had had a hard time with me. I already know I'm completely useless, without my staff I can't do anything unless someone has a scratch they really can't stand. Don't know what it is exactly but the gem in it was given some sort of enchantment to focus energy better. And without that trying to fix anything that isn't a shallow cut or some rather inconsequential problem could probably kill me." Sighing Rezza stared at the ceiling sadly. When he first arrived his first show of his abilities was fixing a small prick he had received from the now deceased Rylan. To him then being able to do that without the need for any outside help was like an incredible feat worthy of praise, though he knew stuff like that didn't really matter much. Though he could use the highest level of chant that would work when focused on its user without the use of his focusing gem, it couldn't heal much of anything. "I guess I've just never really been good at controlling it..."

She went from collected and somber to relaxed and inviting in only a few seconds, resting the back of her head against the wall and looking at Rezza with a wide grin. "You know, I may have sounded like I was kidding earlier, but I'm completely serious. You want to be able to strengthen your magic, yes? Well, I've told you my terms and conditions. What I can do. Your case isn't even a hard one to crack. I'd say maybe, oh, five years of your time? Hardly anything. You could use your spells without needing a staff anymore. I can even give you a few defensive spells just for the hell of it. Or if you'd like a combat spell or two, that's also doable." She held up her hand again. Dust was spiraling around it rather chaotically, shimmering brightly. "You wouldn't even notice me. I mostly use the time while my Host's sleep. And once I found someone else, I'd pop right over to them instead. And even with all that, as long as this woman is still kicking, I promise not to use your body at all. You might not ever even see me again if she survives this battle. It's a win win." She waited expectantly for a response, still holding up her hand. "The final battle is coming. Don't you want to be strong and survive?"

Rezza's eyes widened as the Clarissa's proposal struck his ears. The decades he had spent feeling nothing but inferior to his comrades, the fact that there had been such an easy solution to all of that made his chest feel tight. For so many years that was exactly what he would do anything to get. After so many to finally be proficient in the only real skill he had. The thought would have brought him to tears if he had any left. His upper body jolted up as he stared towards the woman, his face hardened with a serious look. Leaning forward onto his right arm his answer was firm. "Whatever, do that other stuff if you like. I won't stop you. Whatever it takes, I'm in!" With unwavering resolve he spoke before easing his weight off his arm. His eyes held a strong look of determination, never once breaking eye contact as he addressed the witch. "I'll accept your deal."

As soon as the words left his lips, Clarissa grabbed hold of his hand tightly. "This will sting." She managed to sputter out, too absorbed in rushing the spell. Consent was given, and that was all she needed. The magic dust in the air collected in clumps onto Rezza's hand, settling down into the same symbol she wore on her belt. It glowed brightly, searing the skin. She needn't utter any chants for this one; it was purely instinct. And it was over in a flash. She let go of his hand, breathing heavily but smiling brightly. "I did it." She huffed, pride in her eyes. "I'm safe." She then looked over to the healer with a smile. "I threw in one of both. A defensive and a combat spell. You have the knowledge to use them, now, so I'm sure you're already aware of this."

"...You really weren't there at all, huh? Apparently, Celty had some kind of witch inside her- and she used magic against some of us..." Altheron looked over his left shoulder to get a decent look of his friend out of the corner of his eye as he tried to process the information he had been given. Had yet another quarrel between the mother-child duo and the rest of the guild broken out in his absence? How? When? And just what happened? His mind was brought back to the child. Oxy had been born an innocent, forced to walk this planet as a monster. The only glimmer of hope he had left to live a "normal" life was by the words of his devoted mother, and if she attacked the only other people who reached out to him, well.... And just what was a "witch" anyway? Altheron briskly turned around, releasing his hair from Ooro's hold and allowing the towel to drop to the floor, a mix of anger and confusion twisting his features. "Attacked!" he spat out. "How so? What happened to them? Where are they now?" Something began to stir in the back of his mind as the center of his body took on an unusual warmth.

The whole thing took barely anytime at all, and he had been trying so hard to keep his composure that he could hardly notice any pain it had brought. He let his hands fall into his lap as his grin turned into a surprisingly energetic chortle from someone who had been so thoroughly drained by the day's events. Bringing his legs up once more he almost curled into himself laughing, the tip of his tail flicking back and forth frantically. After a moment he settled down. Putting his shins on the ground he shifted his sitting position, now sitting on top of his feet. The years of thinking he would never be good enough for anything all felt so far away, as did the things that had happened earlier in the day. Exhaling sharply he looked back to Clarissa giving another small laugh. What had originally just seemed like a distraction from everything going wrong had turned into a solution. "I don't see why people would think you're all that bad. For several years I would have done anything for something like this." His eyes flicked downwards to himself for a second his smile dropping. "That takes care of one thing at least." He stretched his frayed pant leg, it was almost completely ruined; and that was without mentioning that he was covered in his own blood.

Mimisko has finished looking out the window. It's all the fresh air she needed. She did a bit of exploring for a bit and then she came across Nicolas.
"Oh hey, Nicolas!" She waves and walks over to him "How have you been doing?"
Mimisko has wondered where Nicolas has been during the whole situation with Celty.

Alroth continued hammering away, beating out twenty pieces of metal into two different shapes. There were ten of each shape, and on their own they didn't seem like much. The clumsy craftsmanship would draw the scorn of any proper blacksmith, but the metal pieces would more than serve their purpose, and didn't need to be perfectly forged due to the nature of Pinky's plan. Gathering all of the pieces into a sack, Alroth noisily hauled the metal out to the garden. In one quick motion the armor grabbed the bush it had observed earlier and tore it right out of the ground - roots and all. Growing in such close proximity to the Lethlglyneros tree for so long had caused it to take on properties of the magical plant. It wouldn't filter magic and create the fertility field that the tree did, but it was much more susceptible to magical manipulation than it would otherwise have been. This particular bush was also known to be very resilient and difficult to move through. Most other races saw the plant as a bothersome weed, but at this particular moment it was a blessing to Pinky. Alroth carelessly poured out the metal pieces from the bag, letting them clatter to the ground in a haphazard pile. Then he dropped the uprooted bush on top of the pile just as carelessly. It looked like either a really obscure ritual or the world's absolute worst salad. Pinky stepped out through Alroth's helmet and down to the armor's outstretched hand, placing herself closer to the pile of things. She reached out for the bush with her mind, and quickly connected herself to the simple life form's magic frequency. "Sorry." she said, knowing full well that she couldn't communicate with the bush "But I need your help... It's only for a little while." The pixie focused closely on the plant's energy streams and began to manipulate them the way she did Alroth's. In a moment the bush came alive with strange motions, twisting and completely changing shape. The prickly needles merged back into their branches, and the material was recycled into the root system, which grew significantly in length. Soon the plant was more root than anything, and then the long earthy tendrils began to weave themselves through the metal parts beneath them. The bush roots fit perfectly into carefully placed holes, and soon each piece was connected. Now there was only one step remaining... Pinky quickly ducked back inside Alroth, and commanded the suit to raise its mace overhead in both hands. Unclamping the chain and pulling it to the furthest it would go... Alroth broke the chain and threw the ball away, effectively destroying the weapon. Now left with only the handle, Alroth lowered the hollow metal tube into the strange bush creation before him, and the roots came to life again, climbing through the weapon handle which the chain had occupied before. After a few quick finishing touches to secure everything together, Alroth was left holding... This new weapon was lighter than the old one, having much less overall metal in its composition. It essentially worked the same way, but now with the third function of shifting into a sword. The magical link with the bush that held it together also meant that Pinky could cycle between the weapon's forms automatically without having to bother with clamps and chains. The somewhat sharp blades would also be much more deadly than the smooth mace ball, and would eviscerate as well as crush enemies, making the weapon much more versatile and effective. It would be more easily damaged since the new build was less robust and sturdy, but the chance of actually damaging the weapon was still just about as low as it had been before. Pinky had a lot of practicing ahead of her now. This was the first drastic change she had made to Alroth's loadout, so it was going to require some adjusting to. She would have to get used to the lighter weight and greatly increased level of control, but it hardly seemed like a daunting task considering the benefits of those changes. The hardest part would be adding swordplay into her fighting style, since she had no experience with that more complex form of combat. It was a lot to work out in so little time, but Pinky was confident in her abilities. The pixie smiled to herself at her accomplishment. She could already tell it was going to be a great help. Now there was just one thing left for her to modify...

"Mmmmm..." Manasa thought as she began to fold sugar and rice into the mixture. She broke open a seed pod of cardamon, curious as to why it was tucked away in a rather expensive looking box. She procured another pot and placed it other the hearth for Osseus' use, turning to the thief with a smile. "Why don't you teach me how to make chocolate?" "Well, powder is easier to cook into chocolate, so..." He trailed off, sifting through the pantry once more to grab a tiny box filled with the stuff. He groaned at how tiny the box was, even with it filled to the brim. Cocoa powder in this area would have been rare anyways considering the climate. He prepared his ingredients as he boiled the water, mixing the cocoa powder and butter in a separate bowl. Mixing in butter, milk, powdered sugar, boiling water, and cocoa powder,he finally finished his creation. "That's how," He exclaimed, showing off his bowl to Manasa, a little sheepish from his zeal, "It's not very hard, I guess..."

Nicolas smilled back at Mimisko as she complimented his new outfit " Thank you Mimisko! I found this outfit whille i was on a stroll, in a random room. It didnt took me much time to find it. By the way Mimisko..." he paused for a moment. " I spotted a room that could be possibly used for weapon fixing, and since i need to fix my weapons from yesterdays battle, so i need to go. You could come with me if you'd want to. Your fire magic would be helpfull in the prossess."
