I could...
Rylan looked at the child in disgust as it acted like a wild animal. Clearly, there was something Celty wasn't telling the group, and he was determined to find out what that child was. Rylan looked down at the now bloodied Celty and said in an angry, distrusting tone.
"If you're going to continue being a part of this group, then you need to tell us what you two REALLY are. Clearly, you're hiding something. Children don't just attack people out of nowhere, and if he continues that behavior, then he is a danger to the team."
Rylan turned away from the two and walked towards the front lines, eyes now back to normal. He began saying a longer prayer and his eyes began glowing a bright blue. He made two large electric orbs and placed his hands inside to use them as gauntlets. He could see multiple fearen heading their way, with no sign of stopping.
It's as though they knew we were coming....they just keep showing up! At this rate, we're gonna be over run...
"Kama, is this the plan? Just fight with our backs against the wall until we're over run? We're all clearly getting exhausted, we aren't going to be able to take much more of this!!"

The fire ignited the dry hay on Ossseus' feet, swiftly traveling up to the rope and engulfing the entire stake. Osseus gritted his teeth for the impact- Except that there seemed to be an invisible force preventing it. Osseus bit down repeatedly to test his theory and sure enough, there was something that couldn't be seen. He then wiggled his arms to test out what else could be odd. Still taut, but the fires could easily burn down the ropes given enough time. He'd just have to deal with excruciating pain and the imminent possibility of death since he had no resistance to black magic. He moved his arm again, only this time, the ropes seemed to unravel. He jerked his arm further and further until the ropes burned to a crisp and fell into the black flames. Now that his spare arm was free, he could check out what was blocking his mouth. He poked and poked at it until he realized that something had taken root in his mouth… something not from this village. This is a dream! This isn't even a memory he experienced, just a recurring nightmare he had for years and years. With that knowledge in mind, he jerked the object in his mouth until entirely yanking the intruder out of his mouth. And with that, he finally awoke from his illusion. The reality of the situation was much worse than his nightmare. All of his comrades were fending off fearen and he was useless to stop them in his position. “Useless, useless, useless!!” Osseus shouted, screaming it out to the world while tears streamed down his face. The spore was still alive, but had no root system to spread its seed or to thrive. But the freedom came at a price of blood oozing down the roof of his mouth, spilling out every time he spoke. The blood on his chest seemed to clot, but the pain was still there, just as intense as he remembered it before. The only fearen that didn't abandon him were the shells sticking to his arms, preventing any blood loss form their tight grip. The adrenaline got the best of him as he lifted his arm and smashed it against the ground, instantly killing the shell. He then did the same to the other one, the squeals of the shell being the most satisfying noises Osseus could ever hear in his life. The blood didn't clot here since the spikes digging into his body were preventing such a thing from ever happening. But nothing but rage boiled in his being. Rage at being overtaken so easily by fearen, the one thing he showed his superiority over during the time he was at the church. At being the one who needed to be protected instead of protecting his comrades. He staggered, holding just a dagger in his hand since his bag was entrusted with Ooro. Unsurprisingly, fearen came at him from every direction. But Osseus' rage didn't let up. He swiftly disabled and murdered every fearen he ever came in contact with, from slicing off the wings of winged fearens to stamping on ticks to beating the living hell out of mages with nothing but a dagger and his legs. The satisfaction ruled out all fatigue Osseus felt when battling these monstrosities, a wide smile blocking out the blood seeping from his jaw. Those joys were quickly dashed when he spotted a blue haired man glowing all sorts of unnatural colors. ...Rylan! And he was next to an animal woman in a cloak and…. What the hell was that thing standing next to her!? Was it a kid? A monster? He staggered over to the three to find out as well as carry Rylan to safety. He'd have to save his life, after all, and they were only feet away from the inn with the rest of the guild. He only got a few feet between them when he fainted on top of another corpse due to extreme blood loss. ((don't worry he's a hardy mother f---er he'll be fine~)) {More Osseus Info} A little lore on Osseus since I can't edit my original post anymore Human/dark elf mix Unlike Dark Elves -Brown skin, not completely black -White sclera and black irises -No markings -No magical abilities or resistances -Does not wear traditional clothing -Much shorter (Even shorter than most humans. He smol) -Shorter Life Span (Dark elves can live for thousands of years. He only has twice the lifespan of a human.)' Like Dark Elves -Silky hair -Heightened senses and speed -Elven Ears -Same general build

Mimisko couldn't stop crying. She has been repeating "I'm sorry" over and over again. However, when all of this is happening, she heard a voice. " Mimisko, my child. This whole situation is not your fault. This whole situation is just unfortunate timing.." At that moment, it feels like Mimisko could hear the voice of her deceased mother. " Mama....?" " Don't give up, my child. I know you can do this. Use your flame to find whatever ice source that the underground has. That will defeat that one fearen and help Karma out" Mimisko got up on the floor. The flames from her anxiety are still there but she will put them to good use. A very fast flame went from her hands to the underground. The flame traveled through the ground and found an underground ice source. It seems like some Ice mages left it there for safe keeping. The flame then creates a hole that goes straight to the root of the Spore Fearen. It might of accidentally gotten the fear a bit stronger. However, the extremely ice water coming through the hole pours on root of that fearen. As the water pour, more ice from it came down until it's nothing but ice coming down. ((Here's a diagram on what this meant under the spoiler. (crapfully drawn on MS Paint but I'm at school rn.))) {Spoiler} {Spoiler - View as you wish}

Odessa was tired. Her magic depleted with each spell, and was making her dizzy. But she had to get back to work! They needed her. She'd carry them on her back...Right. Right? No. They didn't need her. Rylan could've healed with Ooro and Osseus' medical skills. Ooro was strong--she would be able to lead the two if Odessa wasn't there. And Osseus would follow along, no quips or questions. Egotistical Odessa just butt in where she wasn't needed. She just jumped...
In.
Odessa?
Odessa....
My eyes fluttered open to a vast and vivid garden, the creatures just as unique as their habitat. The butterflies danced, and the birds were chirping a familiar tune. The back of my head didn't feel the morning dew, but rest on top of the lap of my...mother. Isn't that clingy and sad? That just before I die, I see the one who told me not to fight. Who was strict and too firm at times, but loved me and saw the best of me? Ah, yes. She had been the one who called my name. This must be heaven...Peace...Quiet...Sleep...
"Odessa."
My mother's familiar face turned into a stranger. Blacks took over her face, red dripping down her cheeks. The gentle round tips of her fingers were nails, digging deep into the ground.
With a shriek, Odessa woke up. She shook her head and looked up to the sky and then at Osseus, who seemed pretty scarred. With his look, Odessa made a conclusion.
"Hey, Osseus? I think me going to heaven would be a mistake."
She got up and fended against the incoming fearens. She would see if anyone needed help. She'd be truly useful.

Ooro's movements had slowed due to her creeping fatigue, and by the time she had gotten to Rylan- he broke himself out of his nightmare. Thank goodness! The mother she saw from earlier was cradling her child close nearby as Rylan watched on. He looks... angry? Though, she could not waste anymore time, and decided she needed to hurry to her other teammate. ...However, he was already staggering over their way. There was red dripping from his lips as he dredged on, with only one knife in his hand. One? I thought he had ma- ...Oh no.
Her hand reached around her back, to realize that while she was caught up in her own thoughts, she dashed off without them... and with the rogue's satchel. That's... my fault.
Surely, if she had just stop to think, she would have realized such a mishap. If only I wasn't caught up in my own stupidity! Her eyes become watery, as the tears began to roll down her cheeks. I'm... always messing up.
The possibility of a recruit dying because of her lack of consideration had dug at her mind. He was so helpful to her and yet she deserted him along with Rylan, no less. She remembered how kind he was to hand over that potion... ...The potion. It could have been useful now, but she drank it herself due to her own worry over her hand. The guilt churned in her stomach. He needed it more than she did then, and she downed it without a second thought. How could I do that!? He had treated her with kindness, while she had unknowingly stolen his bag and protection from him. It happened again. I'm always caught up thinking about myself. Her body moved toward the dark-haired man, and she knelt down in front of him, her arms spread as if offering to carry him. "I'm... so sorry..." if he would accept, she would swiftly take him to the others, and do all that she could to patch him up. ...And then maybe, once this battle is over...
I'll leave. I don't belong here.

Alroth took a step forward, pushing for a little more space. Now that most of the slayers were here, he could afford to make his next move. With so many fighters helping to hold the line, Alroth's position became less critical. The second he got an opening, he reeled in his weapon's chain and made it into a mace once more.
The pixie concentrated and released her synchronization spell. By converting back into manual controls of Alroth, she could conserve much more magic energy. Her fighting would be clumsy this way, but she could keep it up far longer, although the decline in magical stress was matched by an increase in mental stress. Right foot forward... Left foot back... Raise right arm... Extend back... Every single motion had to be specifically enacted, and finally she could cause Alroth to swing the mace.
The armor's reflexes would be severely diminished this way, and his movements far less natural. Still, it was like a weight off the pixie's shoulders. Relieved, she sunk more into her chair, but kept her keen little eyes concentrated on the magic mirror in front of her. She absolutely could not afford to lose focus.

Having torn through a few fearen already, the possessed demon had already started to attract the attention of many of his fellow "brethren". Several hound fearen chased after him, often confusing him by jumping into portals and trying to attack him from behind. They got a few deep slashes in but for the most part, Altheron was fine. He used the vessel's tail to wound his opponents. It wasn't quite enough to kill them, but it kept them from charging at him, which was really all he needed. He had to get to the others. He heard the cries of the old man from earlier nearby. He was covered in blood and scratches as he struggled to take on..... a..... a plant? A fearen one, at that. Dodging the attacks of neighboring demons,
Altheron, in his worn-out fearen vessel, ran towards the old man and the beast, crushing a few spores along the way. Upon his arrival, the plant beast kept biting at the old guy, not noticing him creeping up from behind. Holding only basic information about plants in his mind, Altheron focused on attacking the stem. It looked pretty thick, almost as if someone had watered the plant prior to his arrival. If he were to use his horn, it'd probably take a few slices before it was completely severed. He felt something warm in his throat, and suddenly he remembered the acid that devastated Rylan's leg. He quickly spit up the corrosive fluid onto the plant's stem before another hound fearen tackled him, finishing the vessel off for good and sending his soul back into the air. The pale blue color of the beast's streaks turned to a dull red color. Altheron watched as the acid ate at the plant's stem and caused the gaping maw of the fearen loosen its grip on the old man and fall to his side. He did it.
Repeating the same spell from earlier, Altheron overtook the hound fearen and ran up to the old man and stood on his hind legs, almost three inches from his face, smiling.

A faint voice echoed in his slumber. Wherever it was coming from, it was warm... nice. Like a mother of sorts. A mother who would actually be there, that is. He jerked a little bit, hoping to find out what was happening. But his body was too fatigued; too weak to do anything outside of small tremoring and small little noises that would escape his lips. Drips of blood still trickled down his face, but there was nothing threatening him. At least, most fearens left him for dead and ticks couldn't take advantage of his state. A small smile formed on his face, like this experience opened up something.

Alroth swirled his flail and quickly unleashed an upward strike at an incoming stinger. The uppercut launched the beast into the air, disrupting an oncoming flock of winged fearen. The move didn't kill a single enemy, but it got those damned flying beasts off their backs for a moment. "Nice!" the pixie cheered, surprised that such a ridiculous idea worked at all. She'd remember that tactic for later use. The stinger was still alive though, and there was no telling where it would land. Alroth's focus was limited to a ten yard radius, so he didn't care in the slightest. Rylan moved a bit forward to fend off some sting fearen. He punched one as hard as he could in the chest with his "electro gauntlets" as he had named them in his head, sending the fearen flying back and writhing in pain. As the creature began getting up, preparing another attack, seemingly out of nowhere, another sting fearen landed on top of them, causing them to burst open like a water balloon. Fearen blood was sprayed all around the surrounding area, covering Rylan in it. Rylan stood there a bit dumbfounded. "W-what....the hell..just happened..?" This was no time to sit and ponder, as fearen were still approaching. The blood-covered Rylan stepped back in line with the other melee fighters

A small smile formed on his face, like this experience opened up something. The limp figure's lips curled weakly in reply; it was all the affirmation she needed. Ooro gently wrapped her arms around the rogue, trying not to perturb him any further. Silently, she began her trek back to the inn, wiping away her tears as she did so. Alroth and Rylan were holding the front still, so she could treat him without disturbance. She laid the body against the ground carefully, and creaked his jaw open with her hands to check the inside. This couldn't be... The remnants resembled the work of a spore fearen that failed to plant its roots. He was... incredibly fortunate to not have sustained worse. Her hands reached around her to the bag he left behind. It was a little strange to see he had so many herbs on him... did he ever use them? Regardless of whether or not he knew, he had collected a handful of helpful remedies. One which was a plant that could function as a type of coolant- which could help soothe the roof of his mouth. She plucked one of its leaves from the stem, and placed it on his tongue before shutting his mouth. Naturally, his saliva and surrounding blood would be affected by this as well, and should travel down his throat to effect the rest. "Don't swallow it," her voice attempted to tell him. It was questionable at all whether or not he could hear her. Swallowing it normally wouldn't pose a problem, but considering the status of his throat, she didn't want him to accidentally agitate it further and choke. Her pupils strayed to his arms next. There appeared to be fresh blood still protruding from the wounds, and upon closer examination- there were still spikes that lingered in his limbs. Ooro let out a sigh, she couldn't prevent the next part from stinging. Quickly, she brought her nails to the wounds, and dug them into the skin to fish them out. After they were extracted, she used her needle to sew up his arms. The rogue had also gotten lucky on his abdomen. The blood had begun to clot already- meaning the swipes were not severe. His body had already began to naturally heal itself there, which brought a wave of relief over her mind. If he gets enough rest and water- he should survive. Using her cloak, she cleaned the blood around his mouth, arms, and torso. Thank goodness... Even if she was to leave after this mess, her conscience would be muddled with the thought of his death if his condition had been worse. Living with herself would prove to be a challenge. As she sat next to him, she noticed his ears were... pointed. He did not exactly look to be the same type of elven as she was- but it was still strange to see. Truthfully, her knowledge of other elven cultures were scarce. At one point, she might have known, but she didn't necessarily care to remember every aspect after a certain point in time. It was irrelevant in the woods, after all. She brought his bag back to his side, slipping it under his arm slightly to make sure he would not forget it. Her eyes remained fixated on him as she bid her time silently. Right now, her body needed to take a breather as well, and there were probably more combatants in need of medical aid anyways. If they were to regroup, she would be here for them as they needed her.

Celty saw saw Ooro and Osseus rejoin the group, although in her state she could barely keep her eyes open anymore. Blood was pooling heavily from her forehead still and her vision was blurring. She sagged forward, her weight almost crushing Oxy. He pushed her up with ease and stared at her with worried eyes. He started dragging Celty along behind him, supporting her as much as he could despite his small size. He propped her up against the side of the building behind those fighting and tried to get her attention.
"Uh..." Celty groaned and rolled her head back against the inn's exterior, her head spinning. She'd lost way too much blood now and she could still feel the wounds continuing to bleed. Her eyelids felt so heavy.
"Mama!" Oxy shook her hard. "Mama, don't go to sleep!"
Celty tried to concentrate on her son's face but found his features warping and distorting. Everything felt foggy and unreal. She groggily raised her hand up to his face and smiled at him, no longer fully aware of how grave her situation was. Oxy grabbed her hand and started shaking her again.
"You can't! You can't go to sleep!"
Celty's eyes closed and she stopped responding to his pleas.

Ooro had sat with her eyes shut for a few moments as she waited for the rogue to awaken. One of her ears began to turn slightly at the sound of a peculiar voice.
...A kid?
That's right. Ooro had remembered seeing that one of the combatants was a mother with her child, but she hadn't been in close quarters with them until now. Her head turned to take a look at the commotion, and the sight appeared grave.
...The child was crying frantically at the mother who leaned against the inn, her garment stained scarlet. The kid had gripped his mother's hand, and she stopped replying.
Oh no! Ooro had swiftly risen to her feet, and hurried to the woman's side. Without a word, her eyes scanned the body. Immediately, the wound on her forehead drew the most concern. She had a flurry of minor cuts spread out on her, but blood seemed to seep from her side and head the worst. Using her cloak, she padded the blood to get a closer look. As she did so, she shot a glance at the rogue's body nearby, as to make sure he wasn't choking without her. Her eyes caught glimpse of his bag, and she remembered some of the herbs he had hoarded there. Wrapping the cloak around the mother's head, she had dashed off to retrieve something from the satchel.
I didn't want to snoop any further in his things- but this is dire! He had in his possession the same herb she had given Enoch earlier. While it didn't necessarily possess any significant healing properties other than refuting nausea- it would keep her awake. In this case, it was needed badly. Before scurrying back to the woman, she assured herself the rogue had not choked yet, and moved on.
Ooro returned to the mother's side with the herb in hand, before she could give it to her, she had decided it was best to patch up the head wound first. (Receiving stitches in the head would be quite unbearable when awake, she'd imagine.) She weaved the needle through the skin rapidly to keep it from bleeding any longer. Tearing a piece from her cloak, she tied it around the mother's head to shield the stitches. After she was done, she had ripped some of the plant's leaves into bits and placed them into the woman's mouth. One hand squeezed at her jaw, and the other lightly slapped at her face in order to provoke a reaction to try and get her to swallow.
Ooro's face glanced at the child, "Don't worry, I'm gonna keep your mama with you." With that being said, she lifted the mother's tunic that covered her side to check the injury. Her own cape had become ridden with the blood of many recruits, it was becoming tough to rely on to wipe away the dirtied blood. She sighed as she brought her lips to the wound, and sucked the filthy blood around and out of it- before promptly spitting to the side. Her shoulders seemed to shiver at the taste. Once again she brought her needle to work, before lowering the woman's tunic. She made a slight knot around the side of it, as to hold it in place over the wound. Luckily, the rest of the cuts were shallow, and she only needed to draw her finger across them to wipe the blood away. Some had already began to clot.
Her eyes turned once more to look at the kid, trying to give him a slight smile of reassurance.

((Click the spoiler and read whats under it after you've read the whole post. What's under the spoiler is important information for the story.)) After Mimisko defeated some of the spore fearen, and Altheron defeated the rest of them, Kama was no longer in the grips of the terrifying creatures. Kama was once again immediately uncomfortable with Altheron standing so close to him, but he was overwhelmed with relief to see that Altheron was still alive. He tried to be nice this time since Altheron just saved his life by saying "Uuuuh.... thanks ghost boy. By the way, a word of advice: don't stand so close to me. It's... weird." After making that statement Kama fell to one knee as he grunted in pain. As he slowly tried to get back up he answered Rylan's question "It's too early to give up. We have to keep going. We aren't just fighting for ourselves, but for future generations as well. If we turn backs now their numbers will only grow bigger. We have to keep fighting... no matter how hopeless it looks, because WE CAN WIN THIS!" The guild was getting weak. They took so much damage, and yet the fearens never seemed to stop coming in. It was in that moment when all hope seemed lost, and things seemed like they couldn't get any worse, that it happened. A loud roar could be heard from across the entire battlefield. A massive figure was in the distance with glowing red eyes emerging from the darkness. That was the moment that the Shadow Slayers witnessed their greatest nightmare. {Spoiler} Fearos the Legendary Fearen ((Special thanks to TenshiHanka/Otakrap for helping me with the picture by tracing my pencil drawing into digital art)) Fearos is the size of a skyscraper and is known as one of the most powerful fearens on the planet. It has a hard shell that's harder than metal, and a magic shield that can block extremely powerful magic attacks. It is almost completely immune to all physical, magical, and spiritual attacks. Fearos can summon meteors from the sky, punch the ground to create massive earthquakes capable of destroying the entire battlefield, shoot giant energy beams out of his hands, and can shoot an energy bomb that creates a massive explosion. Current Objective
Fearos is a boss character, meaning that you are not allowed to make a post where he is defeated. I will write the post where the boss character (which in this case is Fearos) is defeated. Just like the other fearens you can control the actions that Fearos does, and decide whether or not this character is hit by your character's attacks. All of the other fearens are still present, but Fearos is now on the battlefield as well. ((I'm sorry that this part of the story might not provide you guys with much more to do while you wait for the end of the fight. I wasn't expecting everyone to make their characters have such a hard time with the weaker enemies, and I wasn't expecting the game to be so fast paced. Fearos was planned from the beginning and this character was meant to shift the tone of the story but our characters are already losing as it is. The earliest I expect preparations for the next part of the story to be done is on Sunday. It may take even longer than that. Sorry for the delay.))

Rylan looked around, noticing the sky beginning to bleed into a dark red, when he heard an all-too-familiar roar that completely engulfed him in paralyzing terror. Rylan looked up towards the sky, and just as he was praying to the Gods it wasn't whom he thought, but surely, there he stood. "F-F-Fearos......" Rylan was trembling with fear. Seeing that colossal fearen heading toward the Shadow Slayers could only mean death for anyone on the battlefield. He could feel his heart about to jump out of his chest, as he looked around to see all his comrades fighting off the fearen in their immediate location, a mixture of horror and hopelessness washing over him. All these people.....these warriors who are risking their lives to better the world.....is all for nothing....we're all going to die.....this desolate wasteland is our grave.....Rylan looked down at the floor, and began to chuckle. His chuckle grew from a small giggle to full blown, maniacal laughter, echoing through out the battle field. The man appeared to have snapped, laughing towards the sky. "SO THIS IS IT, HUH!?!? YOU GODS SIT ON YOUR THRONES, ENJOYING YOUR AMBROSIA AS YOU WATCH US FIGHT!!! IT'S ALL A SHOW TO YOU, ISN'T IT!? AAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! WELL ENJOY YOUR FUCKING SHOW!!!!"

((Hopy shit, this thing is a monster. ;w;.))
Mimisko walked out of the door, ready to defeat some more fearens.....until she has seen the Fearos.
"Oh.....no...."
Mimisko was in absolute shock and terror when she saw that monstrous thing. She couldn't move a muscle. She cried out.
"Mama... everyone..... I'M SORRY!! I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!!! I HAD TO FAINT OUT DURING TRAINING!! I HAVE SCREWED UP, WAY TOO MANY TIMES!! I'M SORRY FOR SCREWING UP!!!!"
She cried so loud that some of the other teammates might hear her.
