Enoch watched, satisfied as his teammates were sped up one by one, with Alroth leading the assault on the orb in Fearos's head. After the barrage of attacks from Alroth, Mimisko, and Kama, the weak spot had burst wide open. His hopes rose with each attack that struck the beast. This is actually working!!
Then the behemoth began to stand. And every bit of hope that had been built up crumbled to pieces around him.
No no no NO!!
With how near to Fearos they all had gotten, the danger of being crushed was becoming more and more apparent as the creature towered over them once again. He wildly turned his head to look around and see who was on the ground nearby. And with some sort of long range attack charging...
Everyone's going to get killed!!
Enoch grit his teeth, starting to prepare the wide-reaching Slow spell he'd been considering earlier. For a creature so massive, this feat would be a major drain on his magic. Slowing down a few groups of fearen wasn't a big deal but with something this scale, he could barely process the calculation. He glanced over at Daryn and said. "Once I get this spell off, get the hell out of here. I need to stay close and keep Fearos slowed down for as long as I can." He wasn't sure how long he'd be able to keep it going, but hopefully long enough for everyone nearby to clear out of the way, and those who were scooped up to get closer to the weak point once again.

Daryn looked around. There were those who were injured, and few who were not. Against all odds, she had not been severely harmed in the fight, but had come out with scrapes and bruises. She was still good to go.
"I'm still good to fight. I'll protect you for as long as I can out here, and for as long as you can slow Fearos down. Besides," she paused to give him a confident smirk. It was a far cry from her trembling knees.
"I told you I wasn't going to leave you out here."
She got back into position, just in time to slice a hound fearen back and forth, bringing it down at its neck a few feet in front of the two.
"Jerk."

Gaynor hesitantly took Celty's hand as she helped pull herself up from the ground. She remained quiet, seeming to process her emotions, but she nodded in agreement anyway. She noted the intensity in the mother's eyes, along with everyone else in the guild, she desperately wanted to this fight to end. Gaynor pushed aside her thoughts and thought now only on the current objective. She heard the time mage shout in the distance, beckoning the warriors to come near so they can quickly approach the beast. She looked in his direction, then back at Celty. She had little strength left, so it wasn't practical for her to attempt to crack the skull of the large enemy-- but she was strong enough to defend her teammates from other weaker enemies as they approached. "Let's go." Gaynor said in a strong tone, beginning her route to where the others were gathering. Celty saw the giant slowly start to get back on its feet and she cursed under her breath. "We're too far away, we can't help anyone from here!" She looked around frantically at the fallen fearen around her, trying to find something from one of them that she could use. She found a winged fearen, just focusing in on its wings. It would hurt like hell, but if she concentrated, she could at least get that much. Leaning down on the ground, eyes locked on the wings, she arched her back and let out a cry of agony as fearen wings tore from her back. They weren't fully formed, and she knew that keeping them for long would have heavy consequences on her main form, so she turned to Gaynor and presented her back. "Climb on! I can fly us through this mess on the ground. At least where we can be close enough to help those making their final blows!"

"No....I thought....we would make.. it" Mimisko is lost on what to do. She feels that she fails at being a hero.

((thanks jay i was busy af))
Slashing the eyes was probably the best thing he could have done, because the monster was actually able to rise up after such a relentless attack from everybody in the arena. Oddly enough, Osseus managed to hold on as the beast towered over the masses and every building out there. Sitting on top of the beast was almost humbling in a sense, getting a view of the entire landscape. But that also came with the danger of being shaken off and falling from hundreds and hundreds of feet to his doom. With that in mind, Osseus detached his bag string, tied it to a dagger, and stuck said dagger into the gem, inflicting only a little bit more damage. But the purpose was served.
With this in mind, he had to let everyone know. So at the top of his lungs, he shouted.
"I'M UP HERE!!!"

"Uh oh!" Alroth was surprised when Fearos began to move again. It had been a hell of a time avoiding all of the other attacks being thrown this way, but Alroth never expected the monster to stand up again. By the time the pixie realized what was happening, they were too high up for her to make Alroth jump down safely. "Oh no." the pixie said in horror, watching through her mirrors as the ground grew further and further away. Moderate heights were fine with her - she had grown up in the trees after all - but extreme heights were not so fine. Being a pixie without wings meant the highest parts of the forest were usually off limits to her... usually. Now over a hundred feet up, all she could think of was that one time... "It took you long enough!" the other kids pointed and laughed. Sunshine glittered through the trees overhead, painting their sneering faces with a bright glow.
"We thought a bird got you!" another one said "You must have looked like a caterpillar!" they laughed even harder.
"Caterpillar, caterpillar!" they chanted.
Pinky leaned back against the tree trunk behind her. She was panting heavily, and sweating all over. All the while the others hovered carelessly in the air with their wings - beautiful and sparkling all different colors - no worries between stray gusts of wind that managed to penetrate the thick foliage.
"I... I... I still did it." she choked out between breaths, glowering up at them from her perch on the sequoia branch.
"Yeah, good job, caterpillar." one of the others fluttered forward. "This is the highest you've ever been, isn't it?" her words almost sounded genuine. Almost.
"Yeah." Pinky replied coldly. "Way higher than you would ever get without those wings."
"Maybe." the cyan-winged pixie stepped onto the branch, slowly walking toward the wingless one. "But you do have wings..." a devilish smirk formed on her face.
Pinky shrunk back against the tree trunk. Her wings had failed to develop early on, and more resembled tiny fins. Fins that even a fish wouldn't want. "What are you..."
Sapphire - the smirking one - took another step forward and grabbed her by the arms. "While you're up here..." she laughed "you might as well practice!" and with that Sapphire hurled Pinky into the air, sending her falling like a chick out of its nest for the first time.
Pinky screamed and fanned her arms out, but it was useless. The rest of the pixies dove down alongside her, laughing hysterically as she flailed in all directions trying to reach any of them.
"GUYS!" she scream inaudibly "GUYS THIS ISN'T FUNNY, SOMEONE CATCH ME, SOMEO-"
Alroth crashed hard against Fearo's left shoulder, immediately losing grip on his mace. The weapon tumbled off the side and plummeted toward the ground, with Alroth sliding along to soon follow it. "NO!" Pinky screeched, panicking and flailing a bit before finally catching hold of one of the creature's shoulder spikes. "No-no-no-no-no!" she continued in a frenzy, struggling to bring the armor to a standing position beside the massive spike. Alroth shook and shivered, mirroring the pixie's frightened adrenaline. "Wh-wha" Pinky sputtered, steadily regaining her bearings in reality. To her right was the gargantuan head of Fearos, looking down on all below. The view up there was actually quite impressive, but a fear of heights made it harder to appreciate. Fearos certainly was not spinning, but the world around him appeared to be from Pinky's perspective. "Th-there's only one way down." she thought out loud, having a welcome train of thought come chugging out of the rational part in her mind. Alroth turned toward Fearos' head, plotting a course...

Manasa let out a small shriek as the meteor almost collided with Rylan, watching as he used his power once more before she even had time to react to the situation. Manasa did not know why his powers did this to him, but the limpness of his arms paired with the state of his leg was more than enough reason to be concerned. Manasa regretted never learning more dances that could heal wound; the advanced steps her mother never bothered to teach her less than gifted daughter. She could have been a better dancer, she could have provided her allies more actual support. Now the steps were far beyond her reach.
"I'm-" Manasa was about to vent her worries to Rylan, before noticing a growing shadow looming above the the two. Manasa looked up to confirm her suspicion- another meteor was heading towards the them.
Without fully thinking Manasa instinctual picked up Rylan bridal style and ran as far away from the falling meteor as she could. The shaking landscape provided little hazard, as Manasa's balance was exceptional. She ran almost into the fearen's range before stopping dead in her track. Fearos had begun to charge some sort of attack, if it was anything like the one from before that meant her teammates were all in immediate danger.
"Hang back... I don't know if this will work."
Manasa proceeded to get closer to the fearen, steadying her breathing as she did so. This was a long shot, since she would need to preform with the shaking ground and meteors... and even then she didn't even know if her plan would work. Manasa began to preform another dance- one of draining magic. If she could completely drain out the Fearen's magic, maybe the attack would fizzle. That is... if fearen even use magic to attack.

Ooro could see the combatants strike at the core- surely this would be it...!
However, her heart sank as the towering monstrosity began to lift itself off the ground, and hover before them as an looming reminder that their deaths may be imminent. Her eyelids widened, and the ground continued to shake under her. In the distance, she could catch sound of her comrades' hope dissipating. Enoch had plead for the others to run, and a young girl spoke sullen, desolate words... The sky above them seemed to stain itself a deep red, it was though their world was falling apart in front of them. Hot tears filled her eyes, there needed to be something- anything she could do. No...! No! NO!
I will not have them be torn apart from me!
A voice rung throughout the battlefield, and she could see the rogue still atop the gargantuan beast! Kama as well, and even Al- Alroth!?
She saw the suit of metal armor fall from its perch atop the head, and rolling onto the shoulder- struggling to keep hold. She drew a sharp, panicked breath as she watch the sight unfold. If they fell... they would... ... Her gut churned. The sickness grew overwhelming. Ooro's limbs harbored pain throughout her body, with every step she took, it felt as though she was walking on needles. Her grip on Altheron's body loosened, and her voice had barely murmured out as she struggled to stride toward Daryn and Enoch. "Please..." her breathing was erratic, and she could barely speak, "Keep... it safe..." She surrendered his body to the two, hoping they would do as she asked. With every minute, she grew sicker, and her illness had her crumbling. Alroth... may fall...
... They could die... I... won't have them taken away...
She took another step toward the egregious horror that threatened them. Not... like this... Her voice raised, "Never like this!" she shrieked.
{Spoiler - Click to View}
Suddenly, her illness became a completely different entity. Something had awakened in her. A ferocious fire within her veins had lit, and a strength like never before filled her body. Her body twisted and turned, shifting itself into a strange mass. Ooro had completely turned into a beast. It stood at eight feet on all fours. Her hands became claws that aimed themselves at Fearos. It dashed at an incredulous speed toward the giant, scaling it with its talons almost effortlessly it appeared. Shifting its weight on all sides of the monster, it had managed to climb its way to Alroth... The beast stood still, as though waiting for the pixie in armor to grab hold. "C...ome..." a hoarse, scratchy voice was barely audible. With every moment, Ooro felt herself being lost to its instincts.

Rylan was caught completely off guard as Manasa carried him across the field, his face turning red.
"What are you doing!? I'm fine!!"
He then noticed the meteor that crashed behind them, now thankful as she saved his life. They stopped in front of Fearos and Rylan noticed the beast was charging some sort of blast, and Rylan grew wide eyed.
I could.....I could try forming another portal to redirect it....but...
Rylan grabbed his arm. If he were to try to make a portal that wide, his arm would surely be consumed in ash, and quite possibly his leg. Rylan made up his mind. If push comes to shove, he would try redirecting it at the beast. Until them, Rylan decided he would wait and see how the others react, avoiding whatever meteors and fearen he could, as his arm left him at a disadvantage

Alroth was still shaken and unsteady, but if this mysterious creature was his knight in shining armor so be it. Pinky was the cynical one for sure, but something about this creature seemed familiar to her, and she was in no state of mind to turn down what appeared to be a helping hand.
"Okay!" Alroth said, throwing himself forward from one shoulder spike to the next, and then reaching the transformed beast.

With the pixie now holding onto her back, her claws dug into Fearos as she climbed for the top! Her body swayed from side-to-side, her body bursting with stamina still. It would surely be a tough ride, as she seemed to harbor no restraint when it came to her speed. The beast breathed harder, its movements jolted erratically as it continued further.
It recklessly navigated itself through the reaching spikes that lined its head, even appearing to have injured itself on its side- was it really paying attention to the damage it was taking? The beast's eyes had focused on Fearos' head, and that's all that looked to be that mattered to it. Ooro had managed to make it to the top, her claws still digging into the "flesh" (if, that's what you could even call it) of the monster. It stopped as soon as it had met the rogue's gaze, that awaited on the head with them.
Now would surely be the time to strike.

Enoch widened his eyes in surprise as the body was dumped at their feet. He nodded to Ooro. "Don't worry about him. Be careful." Her current state was worrying him. While she seemed exhausted before, she looked like hell now... And as she staggered towards Fearos...
He had to concentrate again. Whatever she was doing, he needed to help out.
Moments away from casting, Enoch looked towards Daryn, shocked and confused by the state of the shaman's unconscious body and replied, "It's good you stuck around!"
The priest lifted his glaive into the air as he finished preparing the spell, casting Slow and altering Fearos's flow of time, making him around 5 times slower than normal. The Haste spell on the other fighters began to fade as he shifted his concentration onto slowing the beast. He couldn't afford for the mana to drain at a faster clip than it already was.

Alroth let go, stepping onto Fearos' head again. He took a few cautious steps forward and grabbed hold of his shield again, turning and wrenching it out of the ground. "Here goes..." he said quietly, holding the shield by either side. His mace would have been ideal in this situation, but this could still work. Hopefully.
Alroth raised the shield high overhead, and with every bit of strength the armor had, he plunged it into the opening spikes-first toward the blue orb.

Gremlon looked up at Fearos, and as intimidating as Fearos was Gremlon decided that he wasn't going to be afraid of it. Gremlon finally decided to pull the attention from whoever needed encouragement at the moment, soon after whatever he was doing for so long, "Listen here everyone! If you're feeling hopeless now, then stop! We're unlucky enough to lose half our population, but do you think we'd let the rest go to waste!? No! Do you think that you'd survive the apocalypse for this long out of sheer luck!? No! Is this thing able to take us down!? NO! That's right, you're survivors and that's why we can survive to live another day! You see this rotting arm I have!? Unlike the rest of you, I'll die when my tears are shedding it off! So will I die crying or die trying to live!? YOU SHOULD KNOW DAMN WELL WHAT I'M GOING TRY TO DO! SO WHO IS WITH ME!?" Gremlon then grabbed his large dagger that happened to be near him now and started charging straight towards Fearos, "LET'S SEE HOW YOU DE-" While charging towards Fearos, Gremlon was hit way off course with a massive club. Gremlon tumbled for an extended period of time. "Big... goblin?" Gremlon immediately lost all of the courage he just had. Urzul's body then hit Gremlon again with the club. "Why?... why are you doing this big goblin?" Once again Urzul's body swung the club at Gremlon. "I'm not going to fight you... big..." while saying that Gremlon noticed his arm fading away again. "So is this the end? Getting killed by the only one I trusted?" Gremlon's arm shed off with only his shoulder remaining and suddenly he began to start panicking, "No, no, no, No, NO, NO! It can't end like this!! Not now, not yet!" Gremlon's eyes were wide open, and his will to live allowed him to at least dodge Urzul's body's attacks. "I probably look really pathetic to the others right now..." Gremlon continued babbling to/at himself all of the random thoughts he had in his mind "Damn, where did my encouragement go!? My only comrade is attacking me, maybe that means I should die, but I'm too afraid to, damn it!!" His shoulder then shredded off and triggered a bit of insanity. "Damn it Gremlon think! Why is this happening!?!? I'm gonna die, I'm gonna die, I'm gonna die, I can't die, I can't die, crap, crap, crap, crap, what do I do!?" he said as he started banging his head repetitively with his hands. He could feel his insides slowly being exposed because of the curse he had. Gremlon continuously tried to calm himself down but failed. "Let's see how you deal with this..." Gremlon quietly said to himself with a final breath of air as he closed his eyes. {Spoiler}{Spoiler} Gremlon opened his eyes again only to see a dagger lodged straight through his hand. "Pain?" Gremlon said to himself. His hand burned with pain, but he didn't scream or even react. He was completely drained of energy emotionally, which could be seen in his eyes. His voice sounded like his soul was taken out and was so quiet that nobody would be able to hear him. "This is what's keeping me alive...?" Gremlon wasn't crying anymore because he lost all of his thoughts. Urzul's body swung at Gremlon again, but this time Gremlon blocked it with a couple of skulls. "You..." Gremlon began to speak to Urzul's dead body for a second time, "aren't supposed to kill me..." Gremlon put the palm of his hand on Urzul's replaced skull stopping Urzul's body from moving anymore. Gremlon then noticed behind Urzul was a tick fearen controlling her body, "What the hell is this thing...?" He then ripped off the tick fearen's tail, ripped off the tick fearen's legs, and started to repetitively beat it with it's own legs. Trying to destroy the core of a tick fearen was said to be nearly impossible, but the only thing crossing the little thought that Gremlon had left was to kill the tick fearen. He continued to smash the tick fearen's body. Over and over again... whether or not it would do anything at all.

Kama was no longer able to hold on. His injured arm gave in and his grip became too weak, causing him to fall all the way down to the ground. Fortunately his fall wasn't too big since he fell from the leg, so Kama managed to survive, but he hurt his back as soon as he hit the surface. A soon as he hit the ground he saw the overwhelming attack that Fearos was preparing. A huge ball of energy that was so dense that it almost looked solid. If that ball of energy were to explode it would wipe them all out for sure. The mages had too little magic to stop it, and there was no way they'd be able to run away in time. Thanks to Enoch, Fearos was slowed down significantly, but there was no guarantee that it was enough. Kama began to break into a cold sweat as he said to himself "Is this really it for us? Is this the end of our adventure?" But then he saw it. Osseus, Ooro, and Alroth managed to make it onto Fearos's head. The bright light from Fearos's energy bomb made it difficult to see the three guild members, but as soon as Kama spotted them he shouted " SHADOW SLAYERS! FINISH HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIM!" The dagger Osseus used did severe damage to the legendary fearen, causing the giant to scream in pain, but it wasn't enough. The energy bomb was going to explode at any second, and Osseus's dagger was stuck. Osseus couldn't defeat it in time, but they still had one last chance. As Alroth's shield came down, the light from Fearos's energy bomb shined even brighter. Nobody could see if Alroth made it in time. Fearos was almost finished creating the energy bomb. In that moment it happened. In that moment..............{Spoiler} The Shadow Slayers had won Magic flew out of the orb in Fearos's head, spiraling out of control reaching high enough to reach the heavens. It fell to the ground, losing all control over it's body as it died. The other fearens ran away in fear from seeing the colossal creature being taken down. The battlefield had fallen silent, as the noise from all of the fearens had faded away. Kama turned to his guild members, seeing the shocked look on their faces and cried "VICTORYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!" It was finally over. The hellish nightmare had finally ended and at long last their struggle paid off. The terrifying fearens were defeated, and the Shadow Slayers emerged victorious. They had finally finished the first step of their long and difficult journey. Current Objective
Make your characters celebrate their victory. It's night time now, so you can make your characters get ready for sleep as well. You're pretty much free to do whatever you want as long as you don't break the rules and as long as you don't drastically change the overall story. Here are some suggestions for what your character can do while you wait for the next battle to start: - Make your character interact with someone they haven't talked to before
- Start a campfire and have a feast
- Have Rezza heal your character's injuries
- Have Nicolas fix or upgrade your character's weapons
- Grieve the death of Urzul/Build a memorial for her
- Have your characters talk about the battle that just ended
