"My name is Gaynor." She looked into the fire that was set ablaze close by, feeling the heat radiate toward her. "We're in the midst of celebrating our victory. Are you planning on staying?" Glancing swiftly at the fire, Rezza nodded. He placed his staff on his back as he opened his pack. "Ah, Gaynor, Gaynor, Gaynor." As he dug through his pack he quietly repeated the name. Soon enough he had pulled out a small journal and a pen. "Well, miss Gaynor, it certainly is my honor to meet you." Rezza knelt, flipping his journal to an empty page, and began scrawling something down. He had already learned so many new names and faces, it would most certainly be a good idea to start recording them. "It certainly would be against my better judgement," The man continued, closing his journal and placing it along with the pen back where they belonged. "if I were to just leave after stumbling into a scene such as this. I'm sure more people require some form of assistance than just you and mister Enoch." Surveying the area once more, he added. "I am honestly surprised to see so many survivors here, more than I have ever encountered so far. Many did not do well to fend of the fearen... Why even the two brothers who had managed to make it out of our convent and I had a fair amount of difficulty handling them." Rezza scratched his chin and shifted his eyes to the ground. "To find a ANYONE that could manage to do all of this is, in all honesty, just astounding."

Thankfully the fire caught immediately, and the wood began to burn. Alroth pulled back his hand, sitting beside the campfire. Pinky sat down on the armor's hand, staring into the blaze. Altheron immediately closed his book at the sight of the flames nearby. Sure, he was already weakened significantly from earlier, but he knew that if he didn't get to a heat source, he'd probably freeze. After all, he wasn't exactly dressed for the night-times on Earth. As he got up and slowly moved closer to the fire, he saw the metal armor and the pixie from his vision at the church, as well as two others he didn't really recognize through his tired eyes. He sat down next to Alroth before pulling out his book again to study some more.

(((A bit of an announcement: I'm highly considering making a fancomic out of this RP. In order to do this I want everyone's permission to use their character. This isn't an "Official comic" so please, if you want to make a comic as well, don't feel like I'm in your way. Anyway, what I need from everyone is for you to message me personally on here or on skype that you give me permission to use your character. If you don't do this, the character will be omitted from the story for I do not want you to find out later that I used them without permission. I'll give proper credit to everyone in this thread whom I get plot, character design, etc. from. Jay has given me permission to do this. With everything being said, remember this is a fan comic, I'm not perfect and will not be able to cover absolutely everything that has happened here. Along with that fact, I could drop the idea of doing this at any moment. Either way, please don't expect anything to come out any time soon, but I'd like your permission by November 1st. Thank you in advance, have a nice day.
Confirmed characters for the comic: Altheron, Manasa, Oxy/Celty, Enoch, Rylan, Daryn, Kama, Ooro, Gremlon, Fallen, Nicolas, Gaynor, Urzul, Rezza, Mimisko, Osseus, Alroth, Luair, Zerah )))

Enoch glanced between the two as the accusations began to fly, staying silent as he listened to both parties.
Rylan was right. This secret could've very well put the rest of the guild in danger. But the fact of the matter was that it hadn't. He hadn't once seen any sort of backlash from the child's condition, and frankly would have never suspected anything was off until Celty showed him. And with the kind of reception the matter was receiving from the other priest, he couldn't fault her for keeping quiet.
Celty too made her case. A strong one at that. He couldn't find anything she said to be outside of his experiences with the child. Moreso, it matched up with his observation when speaking with Oxy.
For it was Oxy's answer stuck with him most of all. Sad.... He said he was sad. Fearen did not feel sad. They did not mourn their own kind, they did not show mercy, and they most certainly did not feel any discernible form of empathy. But Oxy did. Oxy clearly possessed what distinguished humanity from the monsters. A conscience.
Enoch didn't know if there were further implications of the boy's curious heritage, but this was solid enough place for him to start.
Enoch slowly looked towards Celty, locking eye contact with her, his expression stern. He was willing to shield the two, but he needed one final confirmation. "Celty. I need to know for certain, and I need you to promise that you're telling me the truth. Is Oxy a danger to himself or anyone in the group?"

"Y-yes! I... never thought I'd see anyone like you!" her eyes were still wide with wonder and her voice raised slightly as she spoke. Ooro felt as though she was in a completely different world hearing him speak those words. Never... never did I imagine this would be possible!
However, Osseus had brought out his wrist.
...Oh.
Unfortunately, it seemed that whatever Ooro was hoping for had crashed and burned upon hearing him mutter such ugly words. Maybe it is just because he is a dark elf? Though, in the back of her mind, she had doubts. She remembered her previous elven culture and how they treated the other races. Her eyebrows furrowed, and her eyes squinted angrily. "Your birthright doesn't define how useful you are, you know," she mumbled with a hint of vexation in her tone. "Even if you're supposedly useless... I don't think that determines whether or not you matter anyways."
Her pupils averted to the ground. She appeared to be in deep thought... and got rather quiet. Slowly clasping her palms in her lap, her mouth opened "...You climbed Fearos. Many magic users and non-users couldn't accomplish that, look around you," her head swayed to the bodies in the distance.
The fact he speaks such ill words of himself easily... I'm not sure how much has changed.
Though a certain gleam returned to her eye. ...Though to have another open themselves to another race... it is a start, perhaps.
Ooro was caught off-guard by Osseus suddenly wrapping his hood around her. She looked up, a bit surprised as she watched him point in the other direction.
She smiled at him, "I am fine, but maybe we should join the others?" She struggled to get up on her feet, chuckling a little bit to herself, "Will you give me an arm? I can make my way if you help."

I need to know for certain, and I need you to promise that you're telling me the truth. Is Oxy a danger to himself or anyone in the group?" Celty's eyes locked with his and she tried to calm her heart beat. Everything hindered on this moment. She could not allow her emotions to bleed through. There was no going back on whatever she said next. "No." Her voice was firm and her eyes didn't waver. Lying was something she'd learned to be good at, and though it sickened her, she knew Enoch wouldn't be able to accept the truth, even if she could fully explain herself. Which she might have been able to, had Rylan not appeared. "My son is not a threat, in fact, he can be of use." She lowered herself to Oxy's side and smiled at him. "Oxy, why don't you show them an example of how good you can be?" He shook his head at first, seeming horrified of the idea, but Celty stroked his cheek gently. "Only for a moment," she whispered, "you'll be fine for that long." Oxy seemed shy about this for a moment, before slowly leaning up and kissing his mother on the forehead. Celty held her breath. There was a soft spark of red before he quickly pulled away, seeming to shake something wild that flickered through his eyes for a moment. The stitches fell to the ground and she breathed out a sign of relief. It was dangerous for him to do this, since it required direct contact. The more severe the injury the longer the contact would last, which would inevitably result in triggering Oxy. For healing at a surface level at least, he was fine. Celty turned and made eye contact with Enoch again, glancing at Rylan for only a moment to curl her lip at him. "You see? This is a blessing, not a curse. He can be useful to the guild."

Rylan scowled at them.
"Oh so it's okay to just blatantly lie, then? Lets continue lying to one another then, shall we? Like the fact that I cut off my own leg for shits and giggles. THIS is what Fearen can do to a person! I GOT OFF EASY! If he were to attack the guild like he attacked you..."
Rylan turned away from the three as though to walk back towards camp.
"I'm not sure the guild would be as accepting of the child as Enoch is. In fact, perhaps I'll ask how Kama feels about this whole situation."
Rylan began walking back to camp, still keeping his aura up, making it glow brighter than ever. There was no way he was turning his back to the three of them without being prepared for an attack.

"Well, we're quite surprised ourselves." Gaynor made herself more comfortable by crossing her legs and snuggling down in her scarf, "By all means, I don't think we'd be opposed to having you stick around. Make yourself comfortable, Rezza. The others will make their way over to the flames in no time, you can help them then." Heat always made Gaynor comfortable, not only because she specialized in controlling it, but because it felt like home to her-- like a warm hug or a warm welcome home. The world was cold with death and despair, but the heat was a constant reminder that people still wanted to continue forward. Just then, a small memory formed at the back of her head {Spoiler - Click to View}

Enoch shot a nervous glance toward Celty, gritting his teeth and holding up his glaive. Immediately he cast a Haste spell on himself and began running parallel to Rylan before surpassing his position and sliding out of the brush a few yards in front of him. No way in hell did he want to get near that ominous glow the man was emitting. He crossed his glaive in front of his body and frowned, the blade digging into the earth.
Last thing I need after that battle is to be needlessly wasting magic, but...
Enoch locked his jaw and glowered at Rylan. "What is this going to accomplish, hm? How is throwing a mother and child to the wolves going to solve anything?" Enoch's voice grew colder. He knew all talk of consciences and empathy and feelings would fall on deaf ears.
"We have the opportunity to understand and learn how Oxy could be an asset. If you start a witch hunt now, that all goes away. What you're doing has no benefit outside of fueling your own vendetta. Why not wait for the child to prove himself?"

"I'm not sure the guild would be as accepting of the child as Enoch is. In fact, perhaps I'll ask how Kama feels about this whole situation." Celty's skin itched despite herself. She felt her bones and muscles begin to morph. She tried to hold it back as Enoch cut Rylan off, pulling her arms close to herself as she let out a guttural growl. Celty glared at Rylan with barely controlled rage. That part of her in the back of mind that urged her to protect her son, and destroy those who threatened them was starting to show itself. Her kind were peaceful, yes, but she had done things in her time as a fearen that were far from kind, and if it were needed, she could go back to that state in a heart beat. If her son's life at was at stake, she would do anything... "Be careful with your words," she said testily to Rylan. She could feel a change right under her skin. "You better be damn sure I like what you say."

Rylan turned and looked at the small group. Celty was clearly ready to attack and he wasn't sure if Enoch would stay out of the fight if it came down to him and Celty sharing blows. Rylan's eyes began glowing even brighter than before, rage filling him at the sight. Sparks began forming around his hands as he prepared himself in case Celty were to attack.
"Why not wait for the child to prove themselves? They're A CHILD! I'm going off of what I know and what I KNOW is that Oxy has nearly attacked me twice, once at the church and once when I tried SAVING HIS LIFE, and he attacked AND NEARLY KILLED his own mother. I think that speaks volumes. It's clear what he HAS done, and keeping him here based on what he MIGHT do would be detrimental to the Guild. But you know what? Clearly, I'M the fool here. Clearly, I'm in the wrong. Celty and Oxy can play the innocent card all they wish. The fact of the matter is Celty was once living amongst these creatures, long enough to fornicate with one and have a half-breed baby. You truly think during her time with fearen, she didn't partake in anything they did, just to blend in? I mean, LOOK AT HER NOW!!! She's clearly ready to attack me without hesitation. But your right, Enoch. I'm in the wrong here. You go ahead and continue protecting these two. But if they turn on you, I will not hesitate to hold myself back, nor should you, just because you think it's 'morally right.' You put your team at risk for the sake of these two. But, by all means, continue what you're doing. I won't stop you. Just know this."
Rylan walked toward the now snarling Celty, his hands now pulsing with electricity.
"If you or your child can't control yourselves, I will not hesitate to 'stop' you. And I would warn you to do the same, Enoch."

Daryn sat on the sidelines of the now-ended battle. Her legs were no longer cooperating, so she decided to sit as she hollowed out a shell fearen's corpse with a small dagger she had kept in her pack. She usually used it for hunting, but for the purpose she had now, it was perfect. Despite this, it was still hard work. Her muscles ached, but she knew if she didn't do this now, she'd be in danger in the future. Ten minutes passed and Daryn wasn't even half finished with her project when she could smell the aroma of burning tinder wafting through the air. She looked up to find a campfire had been made while she was gone. It looked so welcoming, but Daryn could hardly move her feet at all. It was then that she had an idea. A stupid idea. Quickly removing the shell fearen's spikes with a few whacks from her sword, she set the shell on its back and sat inside the concave structure. It was a bit of an awkward fit with half of the fearen's guts still remaining, but Daryn didn't care. There was no way she was going to walk all the way to the campfire. She then removed her sword's sheath from its resting place on her back and deposited its usual inhabitant. It was to be her makeshift oar for this endeavor. Now, for the hard part. At least, the hard part for her arms. She started "rowing".

Enoch felt a jolt in his chest as a term he hated more than anything dribbled past Rylan's lips as he continued to spew his vitriol.
Half-breed. He felt a wry smirk crack across his face as the other priest struck a nerve, desperately trying to restrain the tirade he felt attempting to burst from his lips.
"Ah here it is, Father Rylan's judgment from the heavens! Good is good, bad is bad, and everyone that did what they HAD to to survive the bloody apocalypse should be condemned for their sins! A mother protecting her 'half-breed' child? Clearly the spawn of Sandor! It's all just so black and white in your world, isn't it?!"
He narrowed his eyes, taking a deep breath through his nose and quickly stopping himself from continuing. The rational side of his brain was desperately screaming, Stop this! He had no intention of joining what seemed to be an immanent brawl between the two of them, but he fully intended to stop one if it spiraled out of control. And he needed to be calm in order to do so. He took a moment to level his voice once again, restraining his temper and any form of irrational personal offense he was experiencing.
"I'M working with what information I'VE collected through my experiences with the boy. I have never once seen a violent bone in his body. The other guild members can attest to this as well. The only one here with a problem is you. Am I supposed to take your word, a dodgy man who refuses to divulge a single inkling of information about himself, over my own experiences and the experiences of the others?"
Enoch frowned coldly. "If he proves himself to be a danger to the others, you can rest assured I will take immediate action. If I felt he was a threat, action would have already been taken. But right now you are making a mistake."

Rylan was absolutely livid at the little display that Enoch had made. The sparks around Rylan's hands were only engulfing his hands more and more as the other priest talked. Rylan was ready to hit Enoch with all he could but restrained himself. Fighting now would solve nothing. Instead, Rylan closed his eyes and the glowing stopped. There was no use trying to get his point across to people who weren't willing to listen to him. That same feeling of isolation and alienation swept over him again, and if he was feeling it from this mere argument, he couldn't imagine what Oxy and Celty must feel. A lump formed in his throat as he said the next sentence, grabbing towards his heart.
"You're right....I am the problem here....I'm sorry for following you three and causing issues."
Rylan started to walk away from the scene, and looked back at Oxy.
"I'm sorry, Oxy. I'm sure you will do great things in this guild. As for me...I'm not sure I'll be staying here much longer. I've only been a burden at this point, so perhaps it would be best if I were to leave... I'll sleep here tonight and leave in the morning. Again, I'm sorry for causing you people trouble and making such a fool out of myself. I hope you understand, I was only worried for everyone's safety, and I let my own personal feelings warp that, not even taking into consideration how you two must feel. So for that, I truly hope you can forgive me. As for you, Enoch....take care of them...and if you have any questions, I'll answer them back at camp..just....give me some time..."
He could feel tears beginning to well up, and he wiped his eyes.
"Again, I'm incredibly sorry..."
Rylan began heading back towards the camp.

((To speed things up I'm going to say that Nicolas finished building the weapon by now. If that causes any problems with what you had planned creepywaffles then I can edit my post, but I assume that you'd like to interact with more role players now that you have the chance. You're free to leave Kama and go have Nicolas talk to another character if you want to.)) T-thank you sir. I will do my best to ofter as much as i can in this guild. Anyways, I will take care of your weapon. Hmmm... Its condition is really bad, but I am sure i can fix it, it wont be too hard, i have alot of experience on fixing weapons." As soon as Nicolas finished fixing the sword, Kama grabbed his weapon and examined it. He said to Nicolas "Thanks kid. I owe you one. Damn you made this sword look even better than when I first got it. I gotta admit I'm pretty impressed. You should join the other idiotic lunatics at the camp fire and get to know them better. Maybe we can tell stories at the camp fire. That could be fun. Old hags like me have always got lots of stories to tell." Kama turned around, still standing next to Nicolas, expecting to see everyone sitting at the camp fire but the first thing he noticed was Daryn.Kama looked at Daryn with a puzzled face and asked "Um.... Daryn... what the hell are you doing?"
