Alright! As mentioned prior to making this thread, as soon as I gathered a fair amount of information from everyone willing to attend, I promised I'd make a new thread to narrow down the place in which the meetup will happen. That said, I've already picked the time frame in which the meetup occurs.

Although the ticket prices are not stated for next summer on the site, it appears that the average cost will always be less than $40! The tickets are not very expensive and it seems to be a rather great location to meetup for a while as well as have a bunch of fun riding things and hanging out! The dates in which the park are open are pretty randomized and it doesn't have a set calendar for the dates in which it's open in the summer, but, assuming by the preexisting calender, it will be a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday in June, 2016! As soon as they update the calendar, I'm going to choose the first available weekend they are open.

The location of the meetup has been decided! The park's website currently doesn't have the dates it will be open in June, but as soon as they post them, I'll give you guys the exact dates! Till then, I encourage everyone to start saving up!

I really want to go to this and plan to start saving up (as sooN AS I GET A JOB).
I wouldn't mind driving anywhere myself but I'll have only had my license for a short time by the time the meetup happens. So in terms of flights, from where I live to Hershey PA is actually cheaper despite being farther away because at the moment (and probably in the future) there are less connecting flights to be made. So flight + entrance fee of whichever thing, they'd basically be the same price, but either way I'd rather go to a theme park than some comic convention.
Still, I have yet to geT A JOB so I'd feel bad voting at all 'til then.

I have an illness that can cause seizures and migraines- which means I can't go on theme park rides. How much if the meet up would be spent on rides? Would I detract from it by being there and not being able to participate?

tricon would sound real awesome, but the thing is i'm not sure if i can go because it will probably be during a class term.
i have been considering taking a gap year once i'm done with this year, but if i can't do that then the possibility of me attending is up in the air.
that said if i do have a gap year i am all for tricon!
this all depends on whether or not i want to fly all the way to america for this meetup. it all depends!

If the meetup does happen at Hershey, the "official" meetup will be in one particular cozy area where we chat, draw, goof around, exchange gifts, etc; I'm going to assume everyone is going to stay there for a few hours (or however long it may last). Knowing everyone has different priorities, people are then going to start splitting up and traveling around the park together in groups to do as they wish for the rest of the day. To answer your question: no, your illness will certainly not hinder your participation whatsoever. |

I went to Nekocon where I originally from Northern VA, part of Metro DC area... It's at VA. If anyone from East Coast, maybe I must be interested to go back to Otakon not sure really.. Plans are head to go other anime con and maybe Anime Expo, next year 2016?

Why couldn't it be a Kings Island, Great Wolf Lodge, or Cedar Point? *is a stupid person that lives in southwest Ohio*. I will go to Tricon where ever that is. I will not drive more than 3 hours. Hershey Park looks like more than my slugbug can take. But I'm all go.

I've had 6 people so far tell me they are seriously considering / planning for the trip
I'm currently planning to room with Cassi- so if we can get one or two other girls who's thinking on coming to consider joining up with us that would be cool!
