Alroth had made it a few floors up and stopped suddenly. There, outside one of the windows, was what appeared to be a courtyard. Much of the flora should have been receding in the winter chill, yet the site was blooming and overgrown. To nearly anyone else it would only have been a messy garden, but Pinky saw a lot more than that. She could identify each plant by sight alone, yet the pixie could also... hear them. The plants didn't speak any discernible language, but their mixing auras danced and intertwined into a cacophonous melody that resounded like a symphony in the cold stone labyrinth of castle walls. The suit of armor turned and began heading down the stairs again. Pinky wanted to be out there.
Moments later, Alroth reached the entrance to the courtyard, where the scene could be taken in without the filter of walls and windows. The plants had mainly been chosen for decadence, and comprised primarily flowers and pretty bushes. Yet, central to the entire arrangement was a towering tree nearly the height of the castle its self. It was humanly known as a glimmer tree - named for the way its brightly colored leavers sparkled under the sunlight - and to pixies it was called lethlglyneros. The true reason the tree shone was because of its huge affinity for natural magic. It absorbed discarded energy from the surrounding area and channeled it back into the soil, causing all nearby plants to grow and blossom. Alroth was the very same type of tree, as the species' ability to receive magic made it easy to tap into and control.
It was no wonder the tree had been planted here, for its presence allowed the garden to stay in bloom regardless of the weather. Still, despite the human beauty of the courtyard arrangement, it pained Pinky to see the tree in such a way. It was surrounded on all sides by castle walls, heavily limiting the sunlight that reached it, and many branches had been cut and shaped to fit the mechanical standards of human control. No matter how brightly the leaves shone, Pinky could feel that this tree was suffering, and the songs that were sung by the flowers of the garden were dampened and forlorn. Pinky shuddered. She took good care of Alroth, but deep down this stone-caged tree was not so different from hers encased in steel. She had always intended some day to replant Alroth in the ground and let the tree bloom properly, but seeing this tree at Darik Castle put that thought more freshly in her mind.
Pinky stepped out of her tree-house, and set herself on the lowest branch of the glimmer tree. She walked carefully down the branch to the tree's trunk and placed her hand upon it. She didn't care for the thinking beings who thought themselves so superior. She didn't care for humans nor elves nor imps nor goblins nor any race. They had given nothing pleasant to Pinky, and she owed them just as much. Yet to the trees and the plants and even the creatures of the world, Pinky owed a debt. She owed them everything - her life, her survival, and her peace of mind. She wasn't going to save the world for anyone with a thought in their mind - she would do it for the sake of the world its self, which lived and breathed and prospered without ever stopping to question.
The little pixie focused all of her strength into the tree, and sent it this sentiment that it couldn't understand. She poured all of herself into the bark, and with a single burst of magic the tree bloomed bigger than ever before, reaching high above the rooftops of the castle as each trimmed branch grew again and every leaf spread wide to catch the sunlight. Pinky turned and dropped down against the tree's trunk, smiling wearily as the entire garden blossomed brighter, and the flowers swayed with a gentle happiness. This was where she belonged.

Celty just stared at Daryn in complete and utter shock. She turned slowly and looked off into the distance. “The gods are punishing me…” she whispered, a giggle escaping her lips. “I can’t…f-fucking believe that…” she burst out into full blown laugher, slamming her fist hard against the table as hysterical tears formed in the corner of her eyes. “This is rich! This is just fantastic!” "O-oh, uh, yeah!" Daryn said with empty, awkward laughter attached as an afterthought. " Haaahahaaaa..." This was not what she expected from the woman, and frankly it was freaking her out. She frantically looked around the room to see how she could get out of what turned out to be a horrifyingly awkward situation. "You know what?" Daryn said with a squeak of uncomfortable air behind her voice, "I think I'm gonna go- over-over-" She looked around again, eyes falling on Enoch. That was it! Someone she felt she hung around enough that people would understand she'd go join him just for fun and not because she felt like she needed to escape. "Over there! Bye!" She got up abruptly and left Celty laughing to herself, sighing in relief as she walked further and further away. She reached Enoch at his spot at the table in no time, and kicked the leg of his chair to get his attention. "Hey, ya bum! Let's go search the rest of the castle! I went left and didn't find much I cared about, but I'm sure there's a ton more to see!"

'Osseus, what you have said is what my kingdom has done for years. And though I wish for those times to return, I know they will not. I am happy that you care however.' Her smile grew. 'I worry about you too, you know!' The anecdote explained way more than it needed to be: she was frail, but had a fire within her that kept her going. He smiled, finding a new-found respect for her since her story was probably way more tragic than his. Then again, her last sentence mystified him. "You don't have to worry about me!" He chuckled. With that sentiment, he pulled up his sleeve, exposing scar after scar from various incidents on his arm in various states of healing. "All of these were from the past 2 years, so I've got myself covered!" He cracked a goofy grin and pointed to some of his favorites. He pointed to the fearen bite mark first. "This was from the first time I tried to fight a fearen. It bit me on the arm and it never really healed up after that," It would be a perfect segway into the next scar, a second degree burn a little below his elbow "This was from when some guys tried to kidnap me and sell me off in the slave trade. They put a match to my arm to prevent escape, but I still kicked their asses even when I was screaming in pain!" He triumphantly exclaimed. Later, he pointed out every single scar, with stories ranging from stealing from castles to robbing ogres to bar fights. The biggest scar, one that was all different shades of brown, red, and blue, had a different type of story, however. It had nothing to do with anything he could control. "That was from my mom trying to see if I could resist black magic," He pursed his lips slightly, gritting his teeth a bit as he tried to explain the real reasoning behind the scar, "I can't really use or resist magic in general. I'm stuck with knives," If she asked about why his mom knew about black magic, then he'd have to explain it in the simplest terms possible.

'Oh.'
His mention of his mother struck a chord in Luair. 'I think that is fine, Osseus. You fight really well! I noticed in the fight against Tairaga; you were taking him on. I do not think even the greatest magicians would be willing to do something like that!' Luair turned to look at her rucksack left a couple of feet away her, 'Without Tveiralmr I would be no good. My own magical abilities waver and Tveiralmr keeps them balanced enough for me to use. Perhaps if your mother saw you back then, she would say the same thing. That is what I want to believe.'

Mimisko explored a bit. The sight of the castle is tremendous! She has been in a castle that was near her village but it was not as big as this one.
Though it seems that she would get lost there. Plus, it doesn't really seem as fun looking around So, she rushes back to where the dinner table is at.
"Hey guys! I'm sorry that I took a while. I gave myself a bit of an outfit change!"
Mimisko waves a bit nervously but the amount of nervousness was not nearly as high as last night or even back when she first joined.
"I thought searching around the castle wouldn't be as fun doing alone. Does anyone like to join in?"
Mimisko said with a gentle smile.

"That wimp? If that guy didn't summon demons and use cheap-ass powers to do his dirty work, I would have kicked his ass any day," Osseus shrugged his shoulders, reminded of his dad. He always told Osseus that if Tairaga would ever come back to life, he would get his ass handed to him as soon as he came back by Kama. To think that his dad's predictions came true was heart warming to say the least: he didn't die in vain in that respect. Especially since he himself played an instrumental role in that motherf-cker's fall. Then he remembered his mom when Luair brought her up. "My mom would be surprised I'd even be still alive considering everything!" He snickered slightly only to mention something else related, to explain the black magic, "You ever hear of the 'devil's servants'?" That was a popular nickname for the dark elves: stories would always circulate about them making contracts with demons and devastating their enemies in battle. They were also brooding assholes who always moped when not screwing people over. No one liked those guys, and they hated everyone too.

The imp had been swinging back and forth on the slab, having much more fun than he should've been, when he finally heard the young woman speak up, catching him completely off guard. He jumped back a bit and snapped his head towards Manasa's direction. He stared at her for a moment as the slab finally came to a stop. He hopped off the alter and walked a bit closer to her. "Uh.. no, I'm not hungry. I ate a lot last night, so I'm still pretty full." Zerah stated, plainly. He looked around the dimly lit torture chamber and looked back at Manasa, puzzled. "Why did you follow me down here?" He raised an eyebrow When he had began heading towards the dungeon, everyone seemed to be busy with the feast that the other guild had left behind, so he hadn't thought anyone would follow him down the stairway. Zerah scratched the back of his head, looking back towards the still glowing slab and laughing a bit "I must've sounded crazy, huh? Uh...you should probably head back upstairs. I'll probably be down here for awhile." Zerah smirked Manasa shrugged. She examined the device Zerah had been entertaining himself with, trying to gauge what it had been used for and then turned back to the imp himself, realizing exactly how little she know about the little creature. Zerah was a new member of the team, and as such everybody needed to learn how to get along with and cooperate with the imp. Instead, Manasa could feel a rift growing between the guild and Zerah. It all served to make her increasingly uncomfortable. "I wanted to see how you were fairing. You seem so distant from the other members, is there any way I can help?" Manasa touched her arm, running a finger lightly over where she had been wounded the day prior. Not even a scar remain, yet there was so much that happened that day that she could feel many scars running deep within her person. She question if Zerah was the same, not just due to yesterday's events but from what had happened in this very castle.

Luair hadn't got a clue. 'The devil's servants?' she repeated. Despite her long travelling and her encounter with the Shadow Slayers, her knowledge on many things remained relatively low. 'Nevertheless she tried not to look too clueless, 'Are they demons?' She knew what they were, according to the scriptures. Fiery eyes, a tongue of poison, jagged claws. She shuddered at the thought.
'Did- Did they get you?' she asked. She had come to her own conclusion and would need a huge correction.

Galystris stood from her spot and walked off silently to explore the castle. Once she had escaped her fellow guild members, she gave herself a moment to take in not only the size of the castle, but the sheer vibe of grandeur it gave off. She sighed lightly to herself and continued walking along until she came upon a room that seemed to be the library. Her eyes widened and a wide and an almost childish grin made it's way onto her features. There were books of every kind stacked on the shelves, ranging in story, genre, and rarity. It was almost too good to be true. She decided that a little time in here wouldn't hurt. The mage stepped in and took in a fresh breath of the heavenly smell of old pages, letting the atmosphere of the place take her in. She strolled over to a shelf and thumbed through the books, seeing some she had only heard about from nobles, documents of the happenings in ancient times, and even epics from previous rulers. She'd read a lot of books in her time, but these were some she had yet to come across. Galystris could tell a lot of the books in the library were non-fiction, so maybe, just maybe, would there be one about the fearen. She wasn't terribly well versed in their history, and what they really were (although that would change in the meeting she was planning on attending), so hopefully she would find something about them, although it was rather unlikely for someone to have written a book about fearen due to the state the world had been in. Oh well, it was worth a shot.

"Hey, ya bum! Let's go search the rest of the castle! I went left and didn't find much I cared about, but I'm sure there's a ton more to see!" Enoch was knocked out of his unabashed staring at Celty as Daryn kicked his chair, jumping a bit and wobbling awkwardly to his feet. He certainly didn't expect her to come out dressed in something so form fitting, and although he strongly questioned how she intended to fight in heels, he still couldn't help but stare. "D-Did you see... did you see how Celty's dressed?" he gaped before clearing his throat and looking back at Daryn. "...Not too bad." He'd been eager to go out and explore the castle as well, and at least attempt to mend his tattered robes. He was hesitant to give them up but, with how wrecked they seemed to be, he most likely had no choice but to loot for something new. "I thought searching around the castle wouldn't be as fun doing alone. Does anyone like to join in?" "Daryn and I are about to go explore the castle as well, shall we all go together?"

Noting Enoch's state of mind, Daryn once again started belting out laughter. "Ya got that right!" She shouted, patting him forcefully on the shoulder. "Sounds good to me!" She said, laughter still echoing in her words. She then led the way to the door, ruffling Mimisko's hair on the journey. "Let's go, kiddo!"

"They're technically called dark elves, but everyone calls them the devil's servants. They're known for summoning demons and sacrificing anything living and human-like to Sandor, so they hate everyone. They probably liked Tairaga too," He explained, then stretched out his arm to the sky.
"They're really tall, have white hair, skin as black as night, and wear giant black robes because all they do is brood and cry when they don't kill everyone," he didn't describe them in a very poetic manner, but it wasn't nessecary to him.
"Well technically that's my mom," he flubbed, hoping to make sure that wasn't questioned too much. He looked nothing like the description, so he hoped the implication would come through.

Upon making impact with the ground, Ooro shut her eyes in pain. The drop had been unexpected already, but was also a formidable height to fall from. She struggled to formulate words as she gasped for air momentarily due to the wind being knocked out of her. When she calmed down and regained her breath, her ears flicked at the sound of a familiar voice.
"O-Oxy!?" A wave of relief washed over her as she could barely make out the toddler's figure in the dim glow. Thank goodness! "Are you alright? That was a long drop!" She inspected the little one, looking for sign of injury until she found herself distracted by her surroundings. Just where were they? It was almost pitch black save for the child's rock, which she found herself raising her eyebrow at curiously. The light had barely bounced off the objects nearby, and she could recognize a link of chains spilling from atop a structure. When trying to inch further, her foot had brushed up against an unfamiliar item. Ooro's face was riddled with confusion, obviously perplexed by what she had just encountered. It was a toy; one fit for a child. Did Oxy have one I didn't see? Warily picking it up with one hand, she whispered "Oxy, is this your's?" Though, after asking she had realized that next to the boy's feet was a wooden plaything of a wagon, and that scattered across the room was a mess of abandoned gadgets for kids to occupy themselves with. They littered the room, seemingly untouched and forgotten. She lowered the toy in front of the boy, surrendering it back to its old spot once more.
The whole room carried an eerie presence that sent a chill down her spine. Her eyes peered for a way out, but as of the moment could only spot a set of unfinished stairs. She sighed, "Don't worry, we'll get out of here." Ooro tilted her head upwards, in thought about how they wound up there in the first place. Perhaps if they got desperate enough, she could attempt to climb out- but for now it would be worth checking out for a more convenient way out... hopefully. This place struck a nerve, and made her uneasy. "Oxy? Can you hold your light so we can look around a bit more? I'm right beside you if you get scared," she tried to offer a reassuring smile.

"I wanted to see how you were fairing. You seem so distant from the other members, is there any way I can help?" Manasa touched her arm, running a finger lightly over where she had been wounded the day prior. Not even a scar remain, yet there was so much that happened that day that she could feel many scars running deep within her person. She question if Zerah was the same, not just due to yesterday's events but from what had happened in this very castle. Zerah was taken back by this question. He looked down at the floor, a tad embarrassed at the realization. No one in the guild liked him at all, especially after Algarees decided to take matters into his own hands. It terrified him to think about, but that night, Algarees had tried getting the guild to kill him, knowing Zerah would say nothing about what the mask really was. Zerah gulped and looked back up at Manasa. "Heheh, the guild doesn't like me, but it's no big deal! I've been by myself for awhile, and this is no different." He chuckled, then looked back down at the floor. "Well uh..actually it is a bit different. I may not get along with anyone, but being around these people...listening to them talk, enjoy each other's company and just have a good time...it's comforting..." Zerah voiced, a hint of sadness as he spoke. "I've traveled alone much longer than anyone should, much longer than any IMPS should. I mean, would you believe me if I told you I was 400 years old? Imps are only supposed to live to like 170 at most!" Zerah giggled at the anomaly that he seemed to be, then frowned once more. "However...being alone for that long...it really starts to beat you down. Imps are supposed to be a social species, yet I always tried to tell myself I didn't need anyone, that I was fine on my own, but...this past day showed me how much I really do need these people....even if they hate me.." Tears formed in the corners of his eyes, but he quickly wiped them away. Zerah turned away from Manasa and climbed back onto the slab, kicking his legs back and forth off the side of it, his hands clasped together as he stared up at the ceiling. He began to giggle to himself and turned his head back towards Manasa. "Heheh, sorry about getting all sappy there...that was really lame of me! I'm fine, really! You can go up and see the rest of the guild. I'm sure they're worried about you.." Zerah smiled at her, the first sincere smile he had given anyone in the guild. Zerah began to let his mind drift. Zerah really had been alone most of his life, with very small interaction in between, most of which were awful. In fact, the worst of all his interactions happened in this very room. {Spoiler - Click to View}
