Enoch nearly leapt up from his seat as he saw Celty nearly pull Oxy into a chokehold, frowning and continuing to stare the shapeshifter down. 'When she gets like this'... what is going on? The loving mother, the woman who gave up everything in order for her son to be able to live his life. Something was very, very wrong. Manasa took a confident step forward, serpentine eyes locked with the witch's. "Let him go, witch." She hissed. "Oh yeah, I meant to mention this earlier. Remember that snatcher witch story you told us about at the campfire? Weeeeeell I finally remembered the side effect! If I'm not mistaken, they vomit up a purple substance! Isn't that weird, Celty?" Enoch stood up calmly, smoothly walking over towards Celty, his weapon in hand. The person currently threatening Oxy's life was not his mother. Like hell I'm letting anything happen to that child. "I'm acquainted with that purple vomit quite well, aren't I, Celty?" He would've sounded humored by this fact if not for the iciness in his tone. The imp mentioned a new name in his threat, the priest rolling the name across his tongue. "Although I'm wrong, aren't I? You're certainly not Celty. Clarissa, is that what you called her, Zerah?" He shot a glance over at the imp, who seemed ready to attack. "Put down the kid so we can talk, Clarissa." He was not ready to figure the details of this situation out until Oxy was safely out of this compromised position.

Zerah was caught off guard by Manasa's sudden comment, but was glad he wasn't the only one who knew. "Well, I was trying to be a little more subtle with it, but calling her out works too." Zerah morphed his arms into blades "Want to try something, Clarissa?" Clarissa looked at the three, eyes wide with shock. ...Okay, that wasn't what she wanted. Okay, shit, that was REALLY not what she wanted. Had this been a few decades prior, she'd have dealt with the situation in a heartbeat, smoothing things over easily. But now...now her judgement was clouded. Oxy looked up at her somberly. "Claire," he whispered, "you gotta stop now. Let Ma come back." Clarissa's hands shook as she gripped the child tighter, her face twitching. So here it was. The time that always came with these things. The anger, the hatred, the burnings...oh the burnings. Her breathing was starting to grow rapid as panic seized her. She always had the upper hand. She had to. It was how she survived for so long. It wasn't her fault she didn't have a god damn body. And she got this one fair and square. She made a deal, damn it! This body was hers just as much as it was Celty's! She didn't deserve this!Oxy tugged lightly at one of her pony tails. "Claire?" He tried again. "If you do good, it'll be ok." Clarissa's grip tightened harder on the child and he squeaked a bit in surprise. "Don't you tell me what to do, you little brat," she spat, losing all control of her emotions. "I brought you back, for this? To be burned at the steak for the hundredth time by the same sort of sheep." She stood up suddenly, knocking the chair over and glaring over at Zerah. "What about that mask on your head, huh, imp? What about Algarees? Aren't you going to tell these kind people about the loose cannon in that head of yours?" She glared around the room, clearly not in a state to be negotiated with. "You know what? Why don't we just reveal all the fucking monsters in this guild!" She gripped Oxy's pendant tightly in her hand. Oxy's eyes went wide. "C-Claire!" Snap. The pendant crumbled to dust in her hand, so weak it couldn't stand to be unclasped again. The illusion fell and Oxy cowered with fear in the witches arms as his form was revealed to everyone for a second time.

Ooro observed the woman dry her tears and wipe away venom that trickled down her fingers. Her ears began to perk up, upon seeing the vishkanyan gently pat the toddler's back while soothing the child. Manasa had... appeared so mature with her narrowed eyelids and parted lips. For a moment, Ooro was captured in watching her calm the young one; she almost looked like a mother.
Her ears twitched as she snapped out of her daze. "O-Oh. No problem," she shyly smiled back. While she didn't agree with Manasa referring to herself as "disgusting", at least she was willing to to accept some support regardless. She glanced back down at her tabard, staring at the rips and bloodstains in dismay as she crinkled her nose at the smell. Her bracer had been partially disintegrated due to the poison eating through the leather work as well. Perhaps she would sew a new set of clothes for herself? Though it had occurred to her, that her satchel had been left behind in the dining hall back at her seat. Ooro sighed, and figured it was about time to go back and retrieve it. Curiously, she looked back to Manasa who was now taking her leave while cradling Oxy close to her. With a shrug, she strolled across the library and through the vast halls. Her ears had perked at echoes of familiar voices that could be traced back to the table. However, as she was about to make her turn back into the foyer her feet met an abrupt halt as her whole body froze in place.
...It had felt as though her heart ceased to beat. A horrid sensation flooded her entire being. She felt as though she was a completely hallowed vessel that, while simultaneously feeling that her body's weight had tripled. It was null and void, yet to try and move was like carrying the very corpse of Fearos himself. The minutes that had passed ceased to feel real, but the burden of the discovery had made evey thing feel unjust, and even unfair. Her body inched backwards as she became mortified by the information, before retreating without her rucksack.
Ooro had hidden herself in one of the desolate rooms, with her back against the wall and her body seated on the polished flooring. She buried her head in her knees, shutting her eyelids as she did so.
I wanted to do good. Her hands ran through her hair, gripping at the roots with frustration. I wanted to help people...
I... wanted to be with them. Her hoarse voice croaked, "Not... kill them...!" She shoved her face back into her knees as the hot tears rolled down. She knew she had been searching for an excuse to reconnect with others, if only for a little awhile. Though now, that excuse had become invalid. Was she trying to do good by killing people? Even if their minds had been jumbled by the vices of humanity, was it acceptable to end it all with the edge of a blade, and then call it good? For decades, she had considered herself above violence- it was part of the reason she departed from civilization in the first place. Kama's warning rung throughout her ears, "You might have to kill a fearen with the face of someone you once loved." Ooro had isolated herself in an attempt to leave the conflicts of the past lost in time. Yet now, there was a possibility of them resurfacing in a situation far more grave than she anticipated. What if her parents had managed to survive, only to have their souls distorted into maddened aberrations? Would they seek out their lost child, and thus, revive the pain of the past? Worst yet, what if Anju-
She forced herself to a stop. Ooro couldn't withstand the idea of such a tragedy occurring. Her gut had churned as the disgust settled in, and she felt as though a lump had been stuck in her throat. What do I do? She had already sullied her hands with the fallen's blood, even if she had down so unknowingly. While it could be argued that it was an act of mercy; it didn't make up for the fact they had rejoiced at the end of their battles. Celebrated their victories as thought it was a badge to be worn, but in the end all it had been was the desecration of the departed. They should be reveling in the fact they had laid the restless to sleep, and not the body count.
As she flung her head back, she inhaled deeply while glancing at her reflection in the marble. Ooro looked at her beastly ears, her rugged scars, and her discolored hair. She no longer shared the appearance of her former self, and her morality had been in question as well. As she stared at herself, she had questioned who she had become over the years.

Zerah wasn't phased by her accusations of the mask harboring Algarees. It wouldn't come as a shock to anyone in the guild, they already thought he was a monster. What did shock him is the breaking of the pendant. Zerah's eyes darted immediately to Kama, who hadn't been there to see Oxy's fearen side. Shit! Zerah hopped onto the table and ran towards Clarissa until he was standing in front of her, blade pointed towards her head. "You really want to make this hard on yourself, don't you, witch?" Zerah scoffed. "As for the mask, it's a home for Algarees, yeah, but most of the guild witnessed that first hand. Howevere, he isn't a threat like you are, what with you trying to kill Oxy and I in yesterday's battle. All you did by bringing him up was piss me off." Zerah morphed one of his blades back into the gargantuan claw as he placed it over his mask. He smiled towards the witch, death in his eyes. "If you want, I can let you talk to him one on one"

Kama was shocked by everything that was going on. He was planning on replying to Galystris and answering Zerah's questions but the situation quickly became dire. As soon as he realized something was wrong with Celty Kama grabbed out his swords, pointed one at Celty, and angrily shouted at the top of his lungs "STOP MOVING! STAY RIGHT WHERE YOU ARE!" at Celty, not sure what exactly was going on. Questions began running through Kama's mind as he looked at Oxy in his fearen form. He considered the possibility of someone in the guild being a fearen, but he couldn't believe that it would be Oxy of all people. Oxy seemed too innocent. He couldn't bring himself to immediately kill Oxy. it just seemed too cruel. Celty at the moment seemed to be a bigger threat, as it seemed like someone was possessing her. Kama shouted at Zerah "Stand down Zerah!!" Kama then turned to Clarissa and said "What reason should I have to trust you? For all I know you could be trying to falsely accuse Oxy and Zerah of being monsters. Tell me what the hell you are and give me an honest answer or else I won't hesitate to cut you down. What is it that you want with our guild?"

Everything was going to shit. Everyone seemed to be in agreement that whatever was making Celty act this way was the enemy. She didn't really understand all the Clarissa nonsense, but didn't dwell on it. Daryn followed the silent order that the woman was to be mistrusted, even though just the night before she had told her she trusted her. She decided to throw her opinions out the window with this new development, trusting the others in their judgement over hers.
She stood her ground and aimed an arrow at Celty's neck, ready to let it fly if she tried anything.

"If you want, I can let you talk to him one on one" Clarissa's eyes brimmed with magic as she stared at the creature, her neck crooked to the side in a way that seemed unnatural as words in different tongues spilled from her lips in an incomprehensible stream. Her words stopped short, however, when the guild leader interrupted her. "Falsely? OH, you want proof?" She threw back her head and cackled hysterically for a few moments. "Well, let that fool lower his mask and we'll all be dead soon enough. But the boy? Oh, why didn't you ask sooner?" She pulled off her left glove with her teeth, the palm bare now. "Why don't you take a look at the monsters you've let sneak into your guild, old man." She pressed her palm flatly against Oxy's cheek and he started to scream as though he were in physical pain. "Claire, no! Claire, stop!" He yelled desperately, clawing at the arm holding him. "Don't make me, don't make me!" His words started morphing into growls, his screams becoming inhuman screeches. After enough time had passed, Clarissa dropped him onto the floor and took a step back, bowing dramatically. The toddler looked around the room, now on all fours, snarling and spitting as though he hadn't seen a single one of these souls in his life. His eyes focused on Zerah and he went into a crouch, stalking slowly forward as his tail whipped back and forth across the floor. As he did so, it seemed his features became more fearen-like as the seconds past. He prepared to pounce. Clarissa took this moment to back up into the hall and started to run for it as fast as she could.

Rezza planted his feet back onto the floor as the elf joined in on the accusations. He saw no point in threatening someone who, to his knowledge, was simply trying to survive. Transfixed on the situation his gaze followed Clarissa as she stood. And as she snapped Oxy's pendant in her hand. The healer's eyes widened as Oxy's illusion fell. This wasn't something that he could have expected. His chair skidded along the floor as Rezza stood backing away slightly. "Okay... What is this?" Reaching down, his right hand dug into his bag and grasped at the old knife. "The kid is one of them?" He took in a shaky breath eyes fixed in the direction of the child. The current situation compounded with the confusion already heavy on his mind as he mumbled one final phrase before falling back onto the ground and sliding back a few inches. "What the hell's going on anymore?" The situation only continued to escalate. Quivering profusely the small man stood and stumbled away from the table towards the side of the room. Being so close to the enemy for so long left Rezza with a feeling of discomfort. 'That thing could have killed me at any time... And who knows what it'll do now.' He braced himself against the wall and slid to the floor. Everything quickly became overwhelming as he attempted to take in this new information and push his previous fixation aside. Fear for his own life freezing him in place. "What is this?" He parroted his question from earlier as he stared ahead blankly.

She pressed her palm flatly against Oxy's cheek and he started to scream as though he were in physical pain. . Enoch widened his eyes in horror, realizing what was about to happen. "STOP!" he shouted, running over towards the two of them, gritting his teeth as he heard Oxy's screams. "Claire, no! Claire, stop!" He yelled desperately, clawing at the arm holding him. "Don't make me, don't make me!" Everything was a flurry of chaos. Weapons raised, Kama shouting, threats of monsters... and now the child had reverted into his fearen form. The witch, in Celty's body tore away into the hallway. "Don't you dare," he growled under his breath, casting a Haste spell on himself and darting down the hallway after her. "Clarissa!" he shouted, sprinting down the hallway after her, aiming to tackle her to the ground once he got close enough.

Daryn let her arrow fly, the thing now aimed straight at Celty's leg in an attempt to stop her in her tracks. Clarissa was already out of the room by the time the arrow flew. She thanked Celty for her speed before swiftly turning around the corner. Clarissa heard Enoch following close behind, and didn't even bother to look over her shoulder, whispering quietly under her breath "Crepitus" as she ran. The ground behind her would start to crack and shake as she continued to move, slowing down those who were on her heels. "Give up on the damn woman!" She screeched, wiping at her eyes. "Just leave me alone!"

Zerah eyes grew wide as Oxy seemed prepared to attack him. There was no way the imp wanted to hurt Oxy, not after the events that transpired today. Zerah's eyes locked onto Clarissa as she began to run. Zerah could feel himself about to frenzy, but tried his best to stay in control. Zerah wasted no time getting out of the area to chase the witch down. Enoch had already began to run, and Zerah was sprinting right along with him. Zerah turned his head back towards the table
"DONT KILL THE CHILD! JUST SUBDUE HIM!"
There was no way he was letting the witch escape. It was time to let himself cut loose. You feel this, witch? You here us coming? You're not gonna get away from us that easily. The mask's eyes were glowing brighter than they ever had, shining almost like headlights as Zerah began to gain on Celty.
"Only one thing I like more than killing my prey, and that's chasing it" Zerah shouted, his voice a mixture of his own and someone elses. Zerah didn't care if Enoch heard him. He was ready to finally get rid of this witch once and for all. He began to run at full speed, faltering a bit at the shakiness of the floor, until he was right behind the woman. His smile was an inhuman grin from ear to ear. Zerah formed the blades he had made into his gargantuan claws, as it would make this whole situation more fun.
"Ding dong, the witch is dead." Zerah began to chant "An Imp came along and chopped off her head~" Zerah was ready to pounce at the witch, when the cracking of the floor got the best of him, causing him to trip and fall on his face. He let out a grunt of pain as he got back up, the witch already yards ahead of him. Zerah began to sprint again, trying to catch up with the woman.

Kama quickly gave commands as soon as Clarissa started running away by shouting "Rezza, Manasa, and Fallen you three stay here and make sure Oxy doesn't harm anyone! Zerah, Galystris, Daryn, and Enoch help me chase Celty down!" The old man looked around for Ooro and couldn't find her anywhere, but this was no time to look for her. Kama zoomed across the hall dashing towards Clarissa even faster than he would normally run. He had his swords ready to block any oncoming attacks but what she did next caught him off guard. Kama noticed that Clarissa casted a spell to make the ground crack and shake behind her. He had no way of countering this so the spell was successful, causing Kama to lose his balance and fall over by the time he caught up to Enoch. "Damn it" Kama said to himself as he got back up and continued to chase Clarissa. His aim wasn't good enough for throwing daggers at her to be of any use, so all he could to was to attempt to slash Clarissa's right arm as soon as he caught up like he was originally planning to.

Zerah began to chant "An Imp came along and chopped off her head~" With all the strength he could muster, Zerah pounced at Clarissa, going in for the tackle he had tried when he first encountered her. With Zerah out of the picture, Oxy looked around at his other targets, drool dripping from his mouth as he growled. He looked more fearen than child at this point, the shifter in him adjusting his shape to fit his behavior. It seemed that he couldn't decide who to attack first---- so he chose all. He let out a long, piercing summoning screech to anything that was in the area. The echos of hound fearen howling filled the room as they answered his call, and what felt like only moments later the sounds of something slamming against the front entrance and scraping against the walls could be heard. A winged fearen crashed through one of the open windows, splaying across the table and sending food flying. It echoed Oxy's shriek and proceeded to try and attack whatever was in close range as the hounds continued to work at the door. Oxy himself was focused on controlling the creatures.
Clarissa, on the other hand, was still running down the hall, her heart beating faster than ever as Zerah, Enoch, and Kama closed in on her. She pulled out the twin dove statues she had created earlier and whispered into her hand as she ran "Volant." The creatures untied themselves from one another, a ringing sound coming from their beaks as they morphed into dagger like points. "Kama," she whispered to them again, knowing they wouldn't have any impact on a creature like Zerah. They would seek out their targets at lightning speed, aiming to pierce any flesh that could slow her opponents down. I just want to live! She screeched in her head. Why is it so wrong to want that!?She felt the shifter start to stir in the back of her mind again and she cursed loudly. "You stay asleep, you fucking wench, this is not the time for your slow ass to wake up!"

Kama quickly gave commands as soon as Clarissa started running away by shouting "Rezza, Manasa, and Fallen you three stay here and make sure Oxy doesn't harm anyone! Zerah, Galystris, Daryn, and Enoch help me chase Celty down!" Daryn did not hesitate to follow the man's orders, running as fast as she could from her spot to the hallway. Halfway down the hallway, all those ordered to chase Celty were far, far ahead of her. She knew she didn't have a chance in catching up with them. It was then that she heard a familiar howl of fearen in the distance behind her. She stopped in her tracks, not knowing if she should continue to follow Kama's orders or head back to the room and help defend the rest of the guild. She had to think quickly. Something she was not good at. She stood in place for a few more seconds, Celty and the group now so far that she knew she'd never catch up in time. She then thought on those who were close on the woman's tail. They can handle themselves, she thought. She drew the courage inside of her to deny an order, forcing herself to turn around and run back to the room. When she arrived, she found Oxy to be joined by a winged fearen in his attack against the guild. She sent three arrows one by one toward the winged fearen, and hoped for support from the rest of the team to help slow Oxy down somehow. She had no ideas on how to do so without injuring him, and she knew if they didn't think of something soon, they'd have no choice but to harm the boy. "Anybody got any bright ideas?!" She shouted at the guild members in the room, hoping they'd come up with something faster than she could. Her eyes fell on Manasa, and an idea suddenly clicked in her head. "Manasa, is there a way you could drain Oxy's energy? Some kind of dance?"
