oh yeah my name is Gremlon Ifritos. Crap... chances are they'll all be judgmental of me. I can be human if I try hard enough... okay that might not be true but I can dream! Anyways, does this mean I'll get to be one of those.. Shadow.. Slayers?" Kama looked puzzled because of Gremlon's rant and said "The hell? You high or something? You need to chill out a bit and stop talking to yourself like a crazy person there mask boy. It's fine if you're not human or whatever. Racism towards non-humans is a thing of past that ended over 50 years ago. As long as you're willing to help us fight the fearens then you're welcome to the guild." Something smelt... terrible. Her eyes scanned the area, to see that the cloaked woman beside her had... vomit, on her shoes. Ooro could already infer from the sheer stench of Kama's breath that it was probably his doing. She couldn't help but slyly inch back a couple steps, as if to protect herself. "...Would you care for some help with that?" her finger gestured towards Galystris' shoes. The old man scratched the back of his head in embarrassment as soon as Ooro pointed out the puke as he replied "Do you have something to clean this with? If you could help me out here I'd appreciate it a lot. Sorry about that. This usually doesn't happen." It actually happened to Kama all the time, but Kama just didn't remember all the times that he's puked on other people. He continued to speak as he looked around for something to clean the mess with "Well welcome to the guild Ooro. I used to travel the world when I was a young adventurer but... I don't think I've ever seen your kind before. Well no matter what species you are you're still welcome to the guild. Your healing may not be fast but we need all the healers that we can get considering how lacking we are in the healing department, and we don't really have anyone who specializes in scavenging or crafting either."

Ooro's face seems to lighten at Kama's request for assistance. He seemed sorry, and that was enough for her. A smile spread across her face, "Why of course! Leave it to me... I've handled worse," she nodded, "As long as miss Galystris is willing to let me borrow her shoes moment!" It seems that once Kama had requested her help, that she completely forgot to wait for a reply from Galy, and eagerly grabbed one ankle at a time to take her shoes. Again, it wasn't too uncommon for her to act on impulses as they risen. She takes them to the side to shake them off slightly, before handling them with a better grip. "Please, I'll be right back!" With that, Ooro had turned her back against the two, crouching slightly, before bolting off at top speed towards the wood. They most likely lost sight of her as she climbed up a tree and continued from there. As she scampered off momentarily, she thought about some of what Kama had said. "I don't think I've ever seen your kind before..."
Hm. Scurrying through the woods, Ooro had turned at a tree with reddish leaves, and then continued down that way until she found a pond. It would seem she's been here before, as she stopped immediately at the sight of it. She took out the shoes and splashed some water on them, filled their inside, rolled it around- before pouring it out again. She shook them once more to get the excess drips off, then prepared to dry. She still thought about Kama's words. Ooro decided that after all the recruits were rounded, that perhaps it would be the best time... to discuss that with maybe someone who might know. She wasn't completely lost on what she was... she was just... partly, to put it simply. She mulled over the options in her head... A man of the church? , her thoughts referred to Rylan, I doubt he would know much about it, but it isn't unlikely he's had a visitor like such, I suppose. Now, Daryn had already questioned her, she could see it on her face- she surely didn't know. Altheron, maybe? , he DID have connections to spirits, if he didn't know- it was possible for him to ask those souls, but... I don't know if I can get him to talk in the first place.
After the drying process was finished, she dashed back to the church. It had been about ten minutes, tops, and there she carried the cleansed shoes in hand. She gently held them out for Galystris to take, "Here ya go, miss."

Alroth returned to the front of the church, having decided that the wood chips he'd gathered earlier were enough from this building. All of the metal fixtures would have been too much of a pain to dismantle. He scanned the outside area again, noting the changes in positions. Yet another pair of people had begun fighting, and the ones beside the building seemed to still be fighting as far as Alroth could tell.
The firefly landed on his shoulder.
"So if you Shadow Slayers want to kill fearen," he began in his laughably small voice "why are you fighting each other?" The man hadn't encountered too many people that specifically chose to hunt the demons that plagued their world. Most people fought fearen only out of necessity, which was more often than not to protect a civilization. Having had a few minutes to think about everything he had seen here, Alroth was much more interested in the Shadow Slayers. He already traveled around and killed fearen, so that part would be nothing new. In fact, having so many extra hands would make his secret scavenging mission a lot easier.

Announcement
Since it seems like everyone has gotten a chance to introduce their characters now (except for possibly Rannie who might join us), and since this rp game is slowing down I think would be a good time to move on to the next part of the story soon. The fight against the fearens will begin this Friday, October 9th. If you need more time for the introduction scene than that please let me know in advance and I'll slow down the game.

Oxy caught it in his hands and giggled slightly, putting the ball in his mouth and gnawing on it with his fangs. Celty couldn't help but laugh as she wrestled the ball out of his mouth and wiped it off on her cloak. She gave it back to the toddler and he pushed it towards Rylan and clapped his hands excitedly.
"Oxy just turned one not too long ago, if you can believe it. My species ages faster than most," her eyes looked tired as she stared down at him. She petted the top of his head lightly and he looked up at her confused. "Having a child grow up in this mess...I just wish I could find a place to settle. So we could have some peace, if only for a little while..."

Rylan smiled sympathetically. Rylan picked the ball up and tossed it to Oxy again
"Yeah, I couldn't imagine trying to raise a child these days. Perhaps once we get rid of the fearen, things can go back to normal."
He pat Oxy on the head
"Happy birthday, little one!"

Oxy reaches up and grabs Rylan's arm with two clawed hands, ignoring the ball and letting it fall on the floor. He holds on much more strongly than a normal child should be able to. He stares up at the man, confused. "Happy...birthday?" "You say that to people to celebrate them being brought into the world," Celty explains gently. She eyes her son, worried, as she notices how tightly he's gripping Rylan. "Oh." Oxy seems to mull this over, still holding onto Rylan's hand, before smiling brightly up at Rylan. "Happy birthday!" He bounces excitedly. "Happy birthday!"

"A strong boy you have here!"
Rylan smiles at Celty.
This child...he's a lot stronger than he looks....hmm...

Suddenly, without any warning, Oxy stopped bouncing. He sat completely still and stared at Rylan coldly. "..." Celty's heart froze as she noticed the change in her son. "No, no," she whispered out loud, unable to muffle her frustration. She quickly grabbed Oxy under the arms and began to move away from Rylan. "I'm sorry, we're bothering you. We should go." Oxy blinked, seeming to snap out of whatever trance he was in. His ball was still on the ground and he reached out to it as his mother tried to hurry him away. "Ma, ball!"

Rylan's eyes grew wide and he pulled his hand close to his chest.
What the actual hell just happened?? What, exactly IS that child..?
Rylan noticed the boy was still reaching for the ball as he was getting carried off. He picked it off the ground and tossed it back to the boy, face still painted with fear and confusion. Rylan snaps out of it and sits back down.
"Uh...well...this uh, paste isn't going to make itself..."
Rylan shook his head and started working again.
Definitely going to need to keep an eye on those two. Something about them just isn't right....

"Ah- to know your name, please." Altheron said immediately after the girl's question. His smile widened a bit. He couldn't help but show his interest in her. " Please....." Daryn didn't like this situation one bit. What was with his expression? Was he all there, or had the apocalypse driven him crazy? His pristine appearance didn't soothe her worries- it only made her wonder. Just how powerful is this guy, if he managed to get this far without a scratch, dirt, or any sort of supplies?"The name's Daryn." She cleared her throat. "You're... Al.. Al something, yeah?" She had heard him say his name earlier, but her memory had of course driven most of the name out. "Well Al, what do you say we go watch some fights? That elf and that woman interest me." Without waiting for him to respond, Daryn started out the door to get to the aforementioned fight. Truly, she didn't care if he followed. In fact she preferred him not to, but who was she to stop him? If they were going to be in a guild together, everyone here would have to get used to following each other around, even if they didn't like it.

"My name is Altheron..." he said as he slowly reached for her arm, his gaze never failing. "And I would love to!" His arm now fully clasped around Daryn's, he looked toward the fight as they left the church, a word he had now finally mastered.

'More stone spikes? Is he stalling?' Gaynor thought 'Being fast isn't my strong suit, it must be exactly that.'
When the two spikes appeared in front of her to halt her charge she jolted back in surprise, the sudden realization hit her: 'does he....want me to come near him?' She narrowed her eyes and instead decided to jump back instead of toward her opponent. 'He's waiting to use a different attack once I get near, although I'd like to see what it is if rather not be on the latter end of that attack.'
She lowered her sword and held her left hand out in front of her, three small red balls appeared. They appeared to be elemental bombs of sorts, but of course, it again was just the condensed fire magic as before. However, thankfully, they served the same purpose.
"It seems as though gathering information wasn't the best course of action." Gaynor said, catching her breath. The running around and charging has put a strain on her, her age was certainly catching up to her. She was only able to charge once more before she'd have to call the match. "Very well, Enoch, time to end this!"
She threw the bombs toward her enemy and ignited them before charging him one last time, she hoped Enoch would be to busy avoiding the explosion of flames that he'd not notice her charging through them for the kill.

((Sigh. Late again.))
Odessa saw that her attack didn't do much damage to Fallen, so she decided to strike again before he recovered. What other spells did she know? Heck, was he gonna attack again? Something destructive, something to end this. Uh, uh...
Oh, that one.
It'd, uh, not exactly to too destructive...but it was worth a shot. Her orb glowed a bright yellow. "Blinding Flare!" She had to close her eyes, but ran to hopefully confuse Fallen. Odessa then let the light dim, and launched a fire spell.

Enoch clicked his tongue as she jumped in the opposite direction he was hoping, just out of reach of his glaive. "Damn!" he muttered to himself before chuckling. "Smart." It was starting to get tiresome working against his own abilities by keeping up this ruse and he was hoping for the battle to take a new turn.
He raised an eyebrow and smiled over at her congenially, "You haven't given me a good reason to provide you with useful information to be honest." She was getting knackered from the run around he was giving her, and her age as a human was starting to show. He was a little disappointed, he'd been hoping that someone who'd been through hell would have shown more of that struggle through fighting.
And then those three orbs appeared in her hands. Enoch's eyes lit up. "There we go, show me something new!" It looked like she'd summoned elemental bombs of some sort, although he was unsure what element they could be. With how well those bombs were aimed, the explosion would be nasty whether he jumped out of the way or not.
At once, every trace of the false earth mage vanished as he concentrated a barrier around himself and skirted back a couple of feet from the source of the blast. The bombs flashed and fire engulfed the area, flames flowing around the barrier. He could still feel that intense heat though, sweating a bit and backing up a couple more feet from the source of the intense heat. The same heat as the sword....? Her sword had indeed emitted a radiant amount of heat, something he hadn't bothered noting previously while he was too wrapped up in his bluff.
His mind quickly ticked with this new information as he tried to figure out the next best course of action, turning invisible as he had earlier with illusory magic under the cover of the fiery blast.
