By this time, Gaynor had already slashed through the flames and attempted to strike Enoch. However, her sword struck an abrupt stop before she was able to do so. The fire dissipated, revealing her opponent had vanished. "A......barrier?" Gaynor's eyes widened, she maintained her original stance processing what had happened in shock, "I see, you're a defense mage, are you not?"

"I'm probably not going to fit in here..." He looked over to see the busted down church door and remains of the inside of the church, "definitely not going to fit in here..." Celty, with Oxy still in her arms, fled to outside of the church building. She sat down quickly and nervously near Gremlon with a flustered expression on her face. Oxy was chewing on the ball again and looked at Gremlon innocently. He held out the ball towards the goblin. "Play?" Celty quickly grabbed the ball and shoved it into her cloak. Oxy stared at his now empty hand and scrunched up his nose like he was going to cry. Quickly, looking somewhat even more worried then before, Celty began to shush him as he sniffled. "I'm sorry," She whispered as the toddler sulked, "let's just talk for now okay? No more playing." He looked up at her with watery eyes, "Was I bad?" Her heart melted a bit, "No, of course not." Celty looked over at Gremlon and tried once more to put on her best scowl-smile. "Sorry, kids." She gave a little laugh, but held onto Oxy tightly as though someone were about to snatch him away from her.

Enoch came back into view, staring down at her sword stopped by his barrier, mere inches from his chest. His barriers only stopped magic, not physical objects. The question about what type of fighter she was had finally been answered. "Correct. I also work with speeding up, slowing down," He momentarily stopped time, feeling himself getting drained quickly as he walked up right behind her and starting time again, appearing to pop behind her in the blink of an eye. He leaned down and spoke right into her ear, "And stopping time." He stepped back and to the side of her body where she held the sword, crossing his arms and keeping his barrier up. "I don't fight against humans. You were never in any danger from me. Although, clearly you are not a summoner or a weaponsmaster, and I was probably never in any real danger from you either." He glanced down at her magically-created sword before looking back at her face. "Fire mage."

An eruption of light and noise protruded from Ooro's right. Her ears shooting up in the air as to signal her alertness. The strong scent of smoke filled her nostrils. Were they under attack? Instinctively, her head sharply turned to the direction the explosion came from- her eyes instantly scanning the area of attention. She began to mentally ready herself in case a course of action was needed. Luckily, the ruckus had came from a nearby training session. A breath of relief escaped her, she didn't know if she was up for battle today. It seemed that the first combatant- a woman in her middle-age, was the one who caused the commotion. She threw, what Ooro believed to be, a type of bomb. She looks strong, as with everyone else, and she carries such a stern face... The second combatant- a male, who seemed to be a caster of sorts, had suddenly disappeared, then reappeared again! That was surely some sort of magic trick! How impressive...! Ooro continued to spectate their battle, becoming more invested as she did so. Watching closely, she took mental notes of their abilities and other details. Then, her eyelids began to open slowly. Her eyes widened and her lips parted, leaving her mouth slightly agape. She gazed on, unblinking. The look she carried was one of shock, as though a sudden revelation came over her. The hand that carried Galystris' shoes had lost their strength, and the slippers dropped against the church steps. Her body stiffened, and waited as though it was overcome with the utmost patience, mixed with an urgency that kept her paralyzed in place. Ooro could not take her eyes off them.

Ooro's face seems to lighten at Kama's request for assistance. He seemed sorry, and that was enough for her. A smile spread across her face, "Why of course! Leave it to me... I've handled worse," she nodded, "As long as miss Galystris is willing to let me borrow her shoes moment!" It seems that once Kama had requested her help, that she completely forgot to wait for a reply from Galy, and eagerly grabbed one ankle at a time to take her shoes. Again, it wasn't too uncommon for her to act on impulses as they risen. She takes them to the side to shake them off slightly, before handling them with a better grip. "Please, I'll be right back!" With that, Ooro had turned her back against the two, crouching slightly, before bolting off at top speed towards the wood. They most likely lost sight of her as she climbed up a tree and continued from there. As she scampered off momentarily, she thought about some of what Kama had said. "I don't think I've ever seen your kind before..."
Hm. Scurrying through the woods, Ooro had turned at a tree with reddish leaves, and then continued down that way until she found a pond. It would seem she's been here before, as she stopped immediately at the sight of it. She took out the shoes and splashed some water on them, filled their inside, rolled it around- before pouring it out again. She shook them once more to get the excess drips off, then prepared to dry. She still thought about Kama's words. Ooro decided that after all the recruits were rounded, that perhaps it would be the best time... to discuss that with maybe someone who might know. She wasn't completely lost on what she was... she was just... partly, to put it simply. She mulled over the options in her head... A man of the church? , her thoughts referred to Rylan, I doubt he would know much about it, but it isn't unlikely he's had a visitor like such, I suppose. Now, Daryn had already questioned her, she could see it on her face- she surely didn't know. Altheron, maybe? , he DID have connections to spirits, if he didn't know- it was possible for him to ask those souls, but... I don't know if I can get him to talk in the first place.
After the drying process was finished, she dashed back to the church. It had been about ten minutes, tops, and there she carried the cleansed shoes in hand. She gently held them out for Galystris to take, "Here ya go, miss." ((woah really late response sorry. Homework sucks) "O-oh thank you, erm....I could have gotten it myself though." she said sheepishly. "You're Ooro, correct? It's a pleasure to meet you." she said politely, although she seemed a bit irked at Kama's blatant drunkness and lack of care for first impressions. She extended her hand for the other to shake, hopefully not to be met with another 'incident.' ((ah, v short response I'm sorry!! I'm not a very good writer oops)) -- ((now this is for the second post)) "Do you see anything?" Galystris inquired. She readied her staff, and a blue aura, that seemed to be the color of ice flowed around her hands (queen elsa up in here amirite) The mage scanned the area, trying to find what the other had seen.

The sound of her own voice seemed to have startled herself, "I mean- it's nothing. Sorry, I was just... watching those two, is all." SHe bends her knees as she squats to pick up the mage's shoes, handing them to her. Her eyes once again fixate on the pair in the distance, "Those recruits, do you know their names, Galystris?"

"And thank you, you're very kind." she added politely, and slipped her shoes back on.

Gaynor jumped as Enoch appeared behind her, then relaxed with a smirk on her face as he walked to the side of her. "Indeed, it seems as though we were both found out on our little charade." She dropped her sword and it disintegrated in dying flames before it would have hit the ground. "Interesting." She turned to him and looked him over, she chucked a bit before readying her fist and punching him in the stomach. "The world has taught me well, Enoch, I found my ways around interesting situations. Don't count me out just because you can block my fire." Gaynor straightened her posture and started walking toward the church where the others stood. "Consider that equivalent to a handshake, pretty boy, your way in battle is impressive." she adjusted the scarf on her neck, "Glad we're on the same team."

A slight gasp escaped her as the woman swung her fist. As Ooro watched the woman walk away from the finished fight, she exchanged glances between the pair and Galystris, her foot inching forward slightly. "S-sorry," her head droops at Galy, "I need to do something," she says, her voice shaking as she scampers away.
In a hurry, her feet rush up to the dark-haired man, facing him up-front, her eyes still wide and fixated on him. Her hand reaches out instantly- as to try and grip his sleeve. "Are you really..!?" A gulp could be heard from her throat, and her hand was shaking. It had become apparent at what she saw- it was the mage's ears she was staring at.

Enoch grunted and stumbled backwards as she punched him, the wind knocked out of him. He doubled over for a moment to catch his breath before laughing, standing up and straightening out his robe. "Oh I don't think that will be an issue, don't you worry. I look forward to working with you as well, you're quite brilliant." Enoch began to follow Gaynor back to the church when an unfamiliar face darted up in front of him, stopping him. "A-Ah, hello there," he greeted, looking her over curiously and cocking an eyebrow. Throughout his travels, he'd encountered a huge variety of magical races and demi-humans, but none that quite looked like her. He glanced down at that trembling, reaching hand that approached his sleeve. "I don't believe we've met yet. Can I help you with something?"

"I don't think we've met yet. Can I help you with something?" Ooro's ears flicked at the sound of his voice, as though processing. She opens her mouth to speak, "Y-you're of elven race, are you not!?" Her eyes were... gleaming, with water, albeit slightly. "I haven't seen one of you in years!" she wiped her eye slightly, "I've... been living in the forest for a long time... your kind... I haven't seen them wander in for what seems like forever! I thought... I thought there was a possibility they were near extinction." Looking intently at his face, she could see his puzzlement, "Don't you see anything? I used to be one of you! One of elven blood!" her hand had gripped at his arm. Ooro's appearance had not appeared elf-like at all. Elven beauty was not reflected in the slightest- her skin was scarred, her teeth suffered from crowding, and her hair seems to have discolored. To believe she was an elf at one point... seemed absurd. "Obviously, we were not of the same village, at least I don't believe so... my ears were longer," she points at her head. "After living in the forest, I began feeling changes... and this began happening," her eyes seemed sullen, "I... don't really know what it is." Her eyes return to him, "But- seeing you! Could you... possibly know anything about it? I... haven't spoken to my kin in years."

Gaynor straightened her posture and started walking toward the church where the others stood. Celty blinked as the strong looking woman began to approach, still clutching Oxy in her arms. He squirmed uncomfortably. "Ma, down." Celty was too busy trying to come up with a way of greeting the woman to pay him any attention. "Ma, down!" Frustrated, Oxy grabbed his mother's arm and bit her just hard enough to startle her. She released him, taking in a sharp breath. Oxy ran over to Gaynor and smiled. "Hello! Happy birthday!"

A......child.
Gaynor's eyes flickered in disbelief. The last time she saw a child was the time she saw her own before they........., a flash of anxiety rushed through her veins as she took a step back.
She has attempted to suppress the memory for 2 years, yet, the sight of this....child made it all rush back to her in an instant.
"No." Gaynor whispered, taking another step back. She roughed up her voice, "Get this child away from me!"

Enoch stared at her in surprise as she spoke, nodding slowly along with her words. It's true, he hadn't seen other elves in years. Not that he particularly sought them out, he'd left his birthplace purposely to distance himself. The village he'd come from was not particularly welcoming to half bloods like himself, but now that village was an entire ocean away. Who knows what could've become of them at this point? "Don't you see anything? I used to be one of you! One of elven blood!" her hand had gripped at his arm. He was a bit bewildered as he looked her over. Her ears were certainly the right pointed shape... but otherwise she looked more akin to other magical races rather than his own. However, for some reason, he believed her. Whether it was her intensely genuine manner of speaking, or his own curiosity as to how these changes could have occurred, he believed her. "We most likely aren't from the same village, I was born across the ocean and have traveled very far. Around 70 years worth of distance" he replied, shaking his head slowly, eyes flicking across her face. "I don't know what could have caused these changes though." He looked down at her clawed hands curiously, gently taking the one gripping his arm into his right hand and examining it. "As a child, I heard myths of how other magical races such as the orcs and goblins were once elves, several thousands of years ago. After angering the gods with their misdeeds and war, they were cursed. But those are nothing but stories. Elven myths. Possibly similar to ones in your own village." Enoch chuckled lightly. "And whether I believed in myths or not, you certainly don't seem like someone that would fit the criteria of 'angering the gods'. With such a sudden change too..." He smiled at Ooro a bit sadly, letting go of her hand. "Honestly I wish I could tell you where to find others that would be far more knowledgeable than me, but I too haven't seen other elves in years."

"So if you Shadow Slayers want to kill fearen," he began in his laughably small voice "why are you fighting each other?" Kama overheard Alroth's question as he turned his head towards the direction of the church. He said to Alroth "The best way to get better at fighting is to fight, so that's what we're doing. We fight against each other to get better at it. We'll fight again and again until we're strong enough to take down all of the fearens. We're going to save everyone from these terrifying monsters that ruined this world." Thinking about the journey ahead of them reminded Kama of his days as a young adventurer. He thought about all of the heroic people who fought by his side. A young boy named Galax, the elf girl Sedna, the mysterious swordsman Hikaku, and so much more. He looked over to his guild and saw the same great potential in all of them. As the old man looked at his guild with a smile on his face he told Alroth "Trying to kill all of them is crazy. Everyone says that it's impossible. Everyone says that only Valdus the chosen one could defeat the fearens, but doing what's possible just isn't what this guild is about. We're gonna do the impossible, because that's what it means to be a hero. These guild members that stand before you... they're gonna become the best damn heroes this world has ever seen."
