And sure enough he did exert enough force to remove it.
" Hey!" Alroth reached up too late as his helmet was torn off and still seemed to be juggling to catch it as it banged against the ground, sending a hollow thud echoing off the church face. The man's hands then shot up in the air and waved around his head area as if they didn't know what to do. Fitting, since there was no head there. All that stemmed from the neck hole in Alroth's armor were a few small twigs with little leaves attached. Looking inside, one would see... The inside of the suit looked like the inside of a tree, and for all intents and purposes it was. It wouldn't be visible at that point, but the limbs were filled with roots and branches, with the torso being the hollowed out trunk. The little room inside the trunk inside the torso was full of expertly crafted wood furniture, most central being the throne upon which the little pixie or sprite or fairy or fae or whatever she was sat. Opposite the chair were two large mirrors, but those wouldn't be visible from the front. Papers and bottles and things were strewn all over the floor. The little pixie was no more than nine or ten inches tall. She was kinda cute with her silly neon pink hair, but her face was currently twisted so that her mouth appeared to be falling off and her eyes popping out. She was clearly wasn't expecting this. The firefly buzzed around uncontrollably. "Umm!" 'Alroth' said in a panic, mustering the most powerful voice 'he' could find. "Give me that back right now!"

A purely puzzled look falls over Urzul as she contemplated what had just occurred. If this metal being were the cause of the racket she certainly did not want to confront it any time soon. With a wavering tone she shouted, her head swiveling as she spoke. "Who is in charge, I wish to speak."

"What in--" He rubbed his sore cheek and followed the trajectory path of the stick with his eyes before finding the source: Daryn. The mouthy swordsman herself. He stared at her for a moment before raising an eyebrow and frowning. "Hey!" He took a step towards her, gesturing between himself and Celty. "Were you interested in joining this fascinating discussion, or is that just how you say 'hello'?" "Target practice!" She called out. "You never know when you're going to be reduced to using nothing but a stick." She walked toward the group, clearly enjoying the expression on the elf's face. "Next time I'll sharpen it. But, you seem to be the type to go down after a blunt attack." She turned to the child, her smirk changing to a goofy smile, her voice changing to something more childlike. "The funny man can't dodge!" She gestured a thumb towards Enoch, her face full goof-mode. She hadn't been able to talk to a kid in a while. The only thing she could think appropriate was to try to make it laugh.

Enoch stared blankly at Daryn, somewhat flabbergasted as she strolled over to them. What does she think shes doing?? But as soon as she started to talk to Oxy in that goofy sounding voice, he chuckled and clasped his hands together, pointing at her with both. "Ah so you do want to join this discussion! Well! By the time we're done here, your knowledge on shapeshifters and mages will be far better than your aim. Which, by the way,"
Enoch clenched his hand into a fist, slowly moving it through the air while making a "whoosh"' sound by blowing air from his mouth. He clicked his tongue once contact was made with Daryn's unarmored stomach, tapping it gently with his fist. "Unless you plan on getting better armor, you'd better hope you don't get reduced to exercising that... fantastic aim of yours."

"Oof, ya got me!" Daryn acted as if she had truly just been hit with an attack, making a show of intense goofy pain for her little audience to enjoy. She couldn't help but show her true smile through as she did so. Having an actual friendly conversation- albeit still accompanied by her usual "witty" banter- was relieving to say the least. It had been too long since she had enjoyed herself this much, even if it was only for a bit. She knew the light-hearted air couldn't stay for long. Their guild had a job to do, and it was coming up soon. Best to enjoy herself while she can.

By the time Rylan approached Gaynor, she had the time to compose herself from the prior exchange.
"I apologize for my state, I suppose the previous battle weakened me." She lied, "I'm fine."
She felt an incredible guilt, it had been such a long time since she had seen a child so young so she was caught completely off guard. If she had known a child appeared in the guild she would have had the time to prepare herself. It wasn't like her to treat a child the way she did, she blamed it on the world that hardened her emotions. All she knew now was that she needed to make things right in the best way she could.
"It is nice to meet you, Rylan." Gaynor said, taking a deep breath. "Gaynor is my name."
She then turned her back to the man and headed toward the back door of the church, "I'm not much for introductions, but I look forward to seeing you on the battlefield. Excuse me, I have something important to do."
Gaynor quietly walked toward the pare of shapshifters through the commotion, she didn't bother addressing anything, she only had one thing on her mind.
She toward Celty with a straight face, but with pride in her eyes.
"The bond between mother and child is stronger than any swordsman or mage, I know this from experience. I want no other mother and child's bond to be broken by surviving in this world." She knelt down before her, her head facing the ground "although I'm in no shape in both mind and body to be a mother anymore, you have my word you will be protected so you can continue to be- even by my blood if I must."
She chose the path of a warrior two years ago, there wasn't a way for this to change. Gaynor didn't know the kind of reaction this proposal would spark, but what she said was genuine. Even if she opposed, this wasn't going to change her mind.

Manasa blinked at the rude, pale skinned man before her. "So... Odd..." Her attention was then turned as a green skinned one entered with a boisterous complaint about the the suit of armor the pale one had chosen to hang off of. Usually when she entered a room, all eyes snapped to her and she was given immediate and full attention. Instead, people were more interested in the crass and boring metal lug. She could hardly see what people saw in them, their choice in adornment was utterly tacky.
Manasa hardly skipped a beat as the hulking metal man's head popped of. She was far too concerned with her own vanity to bother with the fact their had had just been removed. By Naga, if it came loose so easily it must be a common occurrence. She boldly sauntered over and picked up the suit's head and reaffixed it onto the body, not even bothering to peer inside.
"Ehem. Where were we? Is this not the Shadow Slayers Guild?"

Oxy giggled and clapped his hands, enjoying the show as the two exchanged banter. Celty laughed slightly, glad that this hadn't turned out to be a serious argument, and completely unaware of Gaynor coming up behind her.
Oxy noticed first, and stopped smiling abruptly, cowering on his mother's back and pointing as the woman approached. Celty turned to look at her with mild shock as she spoke.
Celty seemed at a loss for words, her initial instincts being to reject this statement after their last exchange. But Oxy stopped shaking as the woman spoke, and when Celty took a step forward, prepared to let her have it, the toddler reached out and tugged at her hair.
"No," He shook his head as his mother, seeming to scold her.
Celty furrowed her brow and sighed, staring down at Gaynor with conflicting emotions, "If you wish to protect and fight with us, you'll have to prove it in battle. You scared my son with your words, so you'll have to make up for it with action." She tried to have a softer voice as she spoke again. "I don't mean to be cross with you. If you truly were a mother once, you understand my hesitation." She leaned down on her knees to be on the same level as Gaynor and attempted a small smile. "There is no need to kneel. We're...we're fighting together now."

Enoch was completely taken off guard by Daryn's response, finding himself cracking a wide grin before breaking into Iaughter as well. He hadn't laughed so whole heartedly in a very long time. It was... refreshing. As Oxy's giggles joined their own, he smiled up at the kid, his smile diminishing once he noticed Oxy's expression change to fear. Quickly he reassumed his normal disaffected state as he turned to face whatever caused the child to cower.
And there Gaynor was, kneeling down in front of Celty. Enoch loosened the hand gripping his glaive, shooting a glance at Daryn before listening to the exchange between them, nodding slowly.

Odessa ran towards the group in front the church. "Hello! Hi. I'm Odessa. Just saw you all here, and wanted to know who you-" Taking a closer look, she realized this group was...strange? (And not to mention, not even listening to her.) Or just very diverse. A bunch of people together in the Shadow Slayers wouldn't sound too bad.
Of course! You'd never get bored with this many people to dominant over.
After getting herself out of the enticing thought, she wondered how the other fights went. Odessa went to the toughest looking person...Darey? Darn? She'd go with Darey.
"Hey...Darey. Uh, how did the other fights go?"

Shadow Slayers..... the legendary guild that was passed around the remaining survivors... so that's why so many people are here...
If he could get it in with a guild that fights off those disgusting fearens, maybe then he can be worth something. Either that or have money and power beyond any measure, both seemed to fit nicely with his desires. He stood up, avoiding getting a face full of venomous bosom from the woman he eyed, and cleared his throat to speak.
"...Hello..."
To him, his only hope was to prove confident and to look obedient.

Gaynor was silent and held her position as Celty responded to her. She knew words did little but she wanted to make it clear she was on her side before the guild set out.
After the initial attack of the beasts, she had a hard time trusting anyone and therefore roamed alone up until this point. Her social skills where weakened, to say the least. She taught herself to speak through action-- the act of kneeling was a statement within itself, the words just a formality; it was the most she could do.
"I understand." Gaynor spoke, lifting up her head to the hesitant mother's eyes, her face appeared solid and emotionless, but her eyes told a story of contentment.
A child, a child she could see grow, a child she swore to protect.
As with the other children old enough to join the Shadow Slayers, she wanted to see them grow and begin a new generation-- a stronger generation than the previous.
That was why she joined the guild, not to be a mother of a child again, but to be the mother of a new generation she swore to protect as much as she could.

Rylan was a bit disheartened with how the encounter went.
"So much for making friends" he said under his breath.
He reached down into his pockets and noticed something was missing. A bottle was completely gone. He removed his remaining bottles from his pockets, just to make sure he hadn't just misplaced it.
"Oh god, that's not good..."
When Rylan realized what potion had been missing, he immediately started to panic. He began to crawl over the floor, looking under the benches and every nook and cranny of the decrepit church. When he couldn't find what he was looking for, his anxiety shot through the roof. He made a bit of a quick pace outside the church to see quite a few people standing around.
Oh dear God, please don't let it be around them..
Rylan began to speak up, in a rather worried tone
"Uuuuuh, hey, has anyone seen a bottle of blue liquid?? If so, could you return it to me as quickly as possible WITHOUT shaking it!! Plainly put, if that potion is shaken, it's a potential bomb, and that could be rather catastrophic, were it to go off amongst our little group here..."

Osseus lifted the bottle very slightly as not to shake it. This was it. He was caught red handed.
"..this?" Osseus said somewhat meekly, as to not draw too much suspicion. With that, he waited for him to get the bomb himself. No way was he dying to his own mistake.
