Rylan's scream ripped Enoch's attention back to him. Chills of horror with a hint of nausea washed over the elf as he watched the other man plunge that stick straight into his chest. But that shock and horror turned to intrigue, for in the middle of all that carnage the symbols on Rylan's body began to light up.
"What on Ignis...?" Squinting a bit, Enoch observed the entire process. The glowing, the regeneration, the black blood. He'd never seen anything like it. The lightshow finally faded, and Enoch had so many questions.
Enoch nodded blankly, dumbfounded. "No problem," he responded before walking a circle around Rylan, inspecting him carefully. As he came full circle the elf stared up at Rylan's face again, not with his previous look of suspicion but one of interest and curiosity.
"What were those symbols? That light? And that... Grey matter? What is the process behind that actually working? I've never seen anything like it in my life."
The flood of too many questions that started falling from the academic's lips slowed when,
Enoch cleared his throat as well, straightening himself out quickly and nodding to the smaller man. "My apologies! My name is Enoch. Pleasure to meet you."

"Oh! I'm sorry for the delay. My name is Mimisko Lunania." Mimisko felt a little embarrassed for being slow with her introduction. Enoch cleared his throat as well, straightening himself out quickly and nodding to the smaller man. "My apologies! My name is Enoch. Pleasure to meet you." Rezza nodded as the two mages gave their answers and smiled. "Hm, it is certainly my pleasure to meet you. Mister Enoch. Miss Mimisko." As he spoke their names, Rezza bowed at the respective mages, before straightening up and temporarily replacing his staff on his back. "And of course you, Mister Rylan. As much as I would adore staying and getting to know you all better it would appear it's in everyone's best interest that I service other people." With that Rezza gave one last bow the swiftly scurried off toward the inn, to the woman he had heard shouting before. 'Certainly that is a good place to start next.' He stated to himself as he made his way to the blonde woman sitting against the inn. Once he reached her, Rezza stood back up on his two feet. He brought out a cloth from his pack, the same brown as his shirt, and began wiping his hands as he addressed her. "Greetings, ma'am, while I certainly cannot help you with your lumber needs it appears you certainly could use some assistance for any wounds you may have." Folding the cloth, Rezza replaced it in his pack and began to remove his staff from his back again. "My name is Rezza Light, perhaps I can help you." He held out his left hand briefly, his right gripping his staff, his nails looking more like dirty black claws. Taking one quick glance downward, he almost immediately withdrew it and placed it on his left hip.

Mimisko gently waves to Rezza as he scurried off towards the inn.
"It's nice meeting you!"
Mimisko feels a bit injured from the fearen that gave her a brutal scratch. However, she knows that there are people worse off than her. Far worse off. Plus, it's a type of pain that may heal as time of the day goes on. So, in other words, she'll wait until everyone else is healed up.
Mimisko put her purple glove back on. She looks at Enoch.
"Hey..Enoch, is it? I am sorry for being a coward earlier when Fearos was around.."

Enoch turned towards her in surprise, a bit perplexed by her apology. "Don't worry about it. Everyone was scared out of their wits earlier, including myself. Wanting to flee from such a threat is only natural." He sighed, a wave of guilt washing over him. "I apologize for being hard on you. Thanks for pulling together and fighting with us."

"Oh! There's no need to worry about being hard on me. My entire family, especially my mother, wanted me to move forward and become braver." Mimisko explained
"But I am happy that I was able to help out. I'm grateful I joined the Shadow Slayers."
Mimisko smiled at Enoch.

Pinky sighed and got up, walking back into her little home. Everything was on its side, meaning all of the loose objects were now resting on the wall. Thankfully she had long since bolted the furniture to the walls and floor, so all of her intricately carved fixtures hung in place. The pixie carefully poured magic into the tree, puppeteering the armor into a slow stand. Now that things were right-side-up, Pinky slumped into her lavish chair with another tired huff.
Alroth reached for his helmet and reattached it to his neck piece. Next the armor picked up his shield and hung it on his back again. Now came the tedious task of fetching his mace. It was easy to figure out where it was based on where he had let go of it, but the mace had landed near Fearos' feet, and since the monster had fallen down, that was now at a distance of thirty or so yards. The armor lazily walked toward the area - the handle of the mace coming into view. It had hit the ground ball-first, leaving the massive striking end buried in a small crater. With a half-hearted heave, Alroth drew the weapon and latched it to his belt. Finally, the firefly from before landed on the armor's shoulder - all ready to go.
The armor turned back to look at the others. Pinky sat motionless, looking at them in the distance through her magic mirror. She watched as they celebrated the victory and talked to one another. Did she really belong here? Pinky had never belonged to a group in her entire life, much less a fighting force. Many of those that had relied on her in the fight had still gotten hurt anyway. Was this really something she should have gotten into? Hours ago she was looking for materials to build furniture - saving the world hardly fit her qualifications.
She looked more closely. They seemed so happy together - or at the very least, content. It was the same way at the church. Even after those fights they had had, the others seemed to get along well. Pinky didn't really fit in. Her vision started to get blurry. She couldn't fit in with her own people, how could she possibly hope to find a place with these ones.
Pinky quickly wiped her face and turned Alroth around. The armor took a step... turned back. Took another step... turned back again. "Why is this... so hard." she sputtered.
Alroth turned around once more and began to walk clumsily toward the group. "O-one more try." Pinky mumbled.

"You... Didn't know?" Manasa dipped her feet back into the water, the scorching burns becoming unbearable. "I'm a vishkanyan, we have poisonous blood. Though, around here- away from the desert- we've become more of a fairy tale. Half dragons who bleed gold and talk to your human gods through song and riddles. None of that is true, though." "Ah, well-" Daryn wrung her hands a bit, trying to relieve the uncomfortable tingling in her hand. "My village wasn't exactly close to- to any place, really. I grew up in a place that only humans occupied. I didn't learn much about any other race, either, because what little I did learn of the world was from the few books that my f-father had kept in his room before he left." Daryn applied some ointment to her own hand and wrapped it up with one of the smaller cloths. "When I left my own desert-like home after the fearen attacked, you can imagine my surprise at all the non-human creatures that joined the same guild I was interested in." She laughed at her own predicament. "Seems I had to learn pretty fast, huh?" Realizing she was talking so seriously about herself, Daryn righted her sitting position and cleared her throat. "Anyway, here, since I can't touch your blood, you're going to have to patch yourself up." She handed some of her remaining cloths to the- What was it? Fishy-can-yam?"Good luck, miss. Don't think you'll be needing my company anymore." Daryn got to her feet, deposited the ointment in her pack and began to make her way back to the group. She didn't have time to talk about herself. What she needed right now was some armor, and with the shells of fearen littering the battlefield, she thinks she knows just the thing. If only she knew how to go about it.

After managing to calm Oxy down enough to look presentable, Celty led him out of the line of trees and back into where the group was gathering. She looked around as she tried to think of what she could do in this situation. If was becoming harder to keep Oxy on a leash. She needed someone she could trust... She surveyed the group, trying to decide who to confide in. She considered Gaynor for a moment, but decided that the previous mother might let her emotions cloud her judgement. Her eyes landed on Alroth for a moment, but quickly turned away. The pixie seemed far too practical and much less understanding than other members, and she'd barely talked with her besides their...rather awkward exchange on the battle field. She recognized other faces she's yet to interact with. They wouldn't be good for this either. Her eyes finally landed on Rylan and Enoch, who were standing close to each other. But after what had happened with Rylan... Celty led Oxy up to Enoch, grasping his hand firmly. "Hello!" She said to Enoch with probably the most forced happiness she'd ever managed. "May I....talk with you for a moment?" She eyed Rylan nervously. "If you're available..."

Rylan used the conversation Enoch was having to run off, out into the woods. There was no way he was telling anyone what had happened to him. He already relived it once today, and once was more than enough. He ran a small ways away from the camp, but still close enough to where they were in his line of view. He sat down under a particularly large tree and pulled out the vile of blood.
"It's....it's getting black..? They didn't say anything about..."
His thought process stopped as he shook his head. The terrible memories were still fresh in his mind. He gripped his chest over where his heart was, feeling a sense of alienation.
I suppose they didn't really tell me anything....
Rylan pulled out all the bottles he had left. Four. The battlefield was empty of Fearen now, so peerhaps he could go back to town and retrieve some bottles to use, that is, if he could avoid Enoch, or anyone who'd try asking him questions for that matter.

Manasa spoke out as Daryn left, "It's nice though. Between being worshipped and being seen as one and the same... I think that I'm starting to like the former better." She applied the ointment onto the pads of her feet slowly, doing her best to replicate how Daryn had done so earlier. She wrapped her feet up tightly afterwards, taking the time afterwards to sit with her eyes shut in meditation.
Manasa hadn't' spoken to Naga in a long time, not since that day five years ago. She knew what happened was her own fault, yet after five years of dancing with no reproductions she had begun to assume that what she was told- what she was spoon fed since birth- was all just meant to keep her fearful and meek.
Manasa's eyes reopened, the sky had grown dark with nightfall. She put her shoes back on- painfully, one at a time- and walked back towards the inn. She did her best to hide her pain as she walked past the fire and inside the in and back into the room from before. Good. It was still intact. She pulled a curtan off the rod and began to pile anything of possible use into it, and then did the same with it's sister curtain. She returned to the fire pit and dropped the overstuffed curtains on the ground. They were filled with all sorts of weapons- nothing enchanted or rare but all in good shape, light armor and various survival supplies including first aid.
"Have at it."

Osseus had done what she had asked and faithfully brought the leaves to her lips. For a moment, she struggled to swallow, and carried a pained expression as she attempted. After it had been downed, her head laid against the ground for a few moments as she waited for the effects to kick in. Sure enough, her fatigue seemed to dissipate in minutes, and her eyelids grew less heavy. Ooro was able to open them... and see that the figure that lifted her had been the rogue from earlier. She couldn't help but feel a sense of irony. She hadn't expected that one of the first faces in years to help her out would be another elven. In fact, that would have been her last guess. Though, she supposed he couldn't tell her origin of race due to her strange features... ...Yet, it also seemed Ooro didn't realize her ears reverted back to their original state. She shot him a crooked smile, a little tickled by the situation herself, "Thanks, talking's a bit easier now. I'm Ooro," she laughed. "As you can see... I'm a bit of a mess right now- but don't worry. My body is just aching; I think it will go away soon..." While Ooro situation's was rather quite... awkward, having transitioned fully and then scaling a literal monster; she still tried at small talk. It was also a possibility that perhaps she was trying to push her transformation out of mind. A sense of guilt wafted over her, however, as she did remember her mishap with his satchel earlier. As though trying to ease onto the topic, she asked "Are you... hurt by chance? I know you had it pretty rough, earlier." He flashed a sheepish smile through the tears at her question, then showed off his scars from her sewing work as well as the healing gashes on his chest. "Nahhhh I'm ok!" Osseus replied excitedly, winking to seal the deal. "Besides, you're in a much worse situation than I am, so I have to keep watch," Osseus adjusted his position to monitor her condition, pulling out a snack to eat while waiting for her to recover from whatever she had done. A piece of bread, bland without any spices. He broke off a piece and held it out to the elven woman. "Want some....?" He stumbled on his words a bit, waiting to ask something then found the words: "What's your name?"

Celty led Oxy up to Enoch, grasping his hand firmly. "Hello!" She said to Enoch with probably the most forced happiness she'd ever managed. "May I....talk with you for a moment?" She eyed Rylan nervously. "If you're available..." Enoch smiled over at Celty and Oxy as the mother greeted him, glad to see that the two of them were alright. Well, he pondered as he got a longer look at their condition, still alive and walking around at least. Until now, he'd completely forgotten that the young child had been with them through the entire ordeal.
"Be strong, kid," he thought, the gravity of growing up in such a turbulent time starting to sink in. Himself and many of his teammates, the adults, could barely hold themselves together. For a child to grow up knowing nothing but this... It wasn't fair. Enoch glanced over at Mimisko, noticing Rylan had run off, and nodded to her. "I think we're done here." He looked back towards her and Oxy. "What's on your mind?"

Mimisko understood and nodded back. She waves at Enoch.
"It's nice talking with you."
Mimisko notices Celty and Oxy. As she walks off, she waves at Celty and Oxy, out of sheer politeness.

Enoch glanced over at Mimisko, noticing Rylan had run off, and nodded to her. "I think we're done here." He looked back towards her and Oxy. "What's on your mind?" Celty bit her lip and eyed the forest, "Actually, I don't think talking is going to do us much good." She gestured towards the woods with her head. "I'd like to show you something instead. Care to take a walk with me?" Oxy looked up at his mother in confusion, but said nothing. He still wasn't in the best of spirits, but he wasn't avoiding Celty anymore. He changed his gaze to Enoch as the two waited the elf's response.

(( Hey I just wanted to let you know Oxy is not actually on a leash!! It's just a saying. Also, Rylan is the only one who saw what happened with Celty and Oxy during the fight. The half-fearen thing is a secret : O ))
