.....interesting. The child didn't seem like one to draw abstractly, but maybe it was just an exaggeration. He seemed pretty proud of his work and elated to draw his father, so it seemed odd to draw him in such a negative way. She wanted to ask the boy more questions about his work, but it would be too manipulative to pull answers from someone so unsuspecting. Still, she was curious as to whom this character was. Gaynor gently took the notepad away from Oxy's hands to examine the picture more closely.
"Your father seems very similar to a fearen, is he a shapshifter like your mother and morphed into one to protect your family?"
she assumed a simple question like this would have a likewise answer.

Manasa looked towards Oxy briefly, unsure of how to react, before returning her gaze back to Celty. "I'm just worried that some of our guild members have been treated unfairly." Manasa made sure not to single Rylan out, or to even show her motivation at all. Right now she needed Celty's word. Needless arguments were ugly and unsightly, and most of all unvishkanyan. "Oh?" Celty said, raising an eyebrow. She decided to play it safe and try to keep closer to the truth for this conversation, since Rylan was nearby. She didn't want to risk fact checking when he was literally right there. "Rylan took it upon himself to interrupt a conversation Enoch and I were having. He threatened my son and almost attacked us both. Neither of us exchanged more than words," she added quickly, "but I will not allow someone to bully my child. We're trying to make the world safer here for the next generation, not destroy what little hope we have left." She turned to her son and then looked back to Rylan. "I'd talk to him if he would like to, but I don't think that's an option. My son has taken a liking to him, unfortunately, and I think seeing Rylan abuse that trust so violently has shaken him." Oxy froze at the question. He was not good at lying, his mother had always done that for him. He realized too late he'd made a mistake and she'd be mad at him if she found out... Suddenly, he ripped the notebook out of Gaynor's hand, tearing off the page with his latest illustration and tossing it into the fire. He plopped back down in front of Gaynor with a blank expression. "Oops."

Rylan, not being too far away, overheard Celty's words and immediately got up and started walking towards the campfire, fists clenched, head towards the floor.
Who the hell does she think she is, lying to these people......
Rylan was now standing in front of the campfire, glaring directly at Celty, nothing but rage in his eyes.
"Excuse me, everyone, I would like to tell you something that I recently discussed with Celty and Enoch while we were in the woods."

"...Are you..." He placed his left hand on his face trying to maintain his expression, as he had seen Mimisko notice it. "...Okay, mister Altheron?" Altheron's eyes brightened up as the air started to flow freely in his lungs. He felt his energy coming back yet again, and he knew just how to use it. "Haha, yes! I am very 'okay', Fox-Man!" he shouted, pulling Rezza up into the air with his newfound strength and spinning him around until he got dizzy. He set the little healer down before plopping on the floor, still maintaining a slight smile.

"Hey Enoch, you hungry? I have some-" She pulled out a small leather bag of severely crumbled bread. "Uh, I have some-" she pulled out another bag of smashed fruits. "Ah, nevermind." She said dejectedly. There was no way she'd offer such meager, destroyed rations to someone like Enoch. "How are you holding up?" Enoch chuckled as he watched her scoot, following her over on foot before sitting down next to her near the fire, sighing. He looked over at her curiously as she pulled out some crushed rations of food, raising an eyebrow as she put them away. "Well I am definitely hungry if you're still offering," he replied, smiling a bit before sighing. "I've been hanging in there, mostly just mentally exhausted. That new healer, Rezza, did an excellent job fixing me up." He gestured to where the gashes had been, showing that they were now nothing but a shadow of the previous wounds.. "Otherwise --" Enoch froze, his voice trailing off as his attention shifted to Rylan, his body now wound up tightly. "Well I was feeling better.." he muttered, glaring up at the other priest.

Shrugging, Daryn moved the small bags of food in reach of Enoch while also taking some for herself.
"Ah? What's this about?" She muttered to her companion, munching some red berries. Looking Rylan up and down after what seemed to be years since she last saw him, she found something to be odd. His foot. His lack of a foot.
Oh gods, what the hell?! Damn, that's horrible.
She would've said some sort of condolences aloud, but Rylan obviously had something to say himself.

Hm? What's going on?
Fallen noticed the sudden tenseness that overcame Enoch. Fallen raised an eyebrow and prepared to hear what Rylan had to say. Whatever it was, it had to be of some relevance.

"Ah? What's this about?" She muttered to her companion. Enoch took one of the more in-tact pieces of bread from the bag and started to eat it, frowning. "Probably something foolish," he whispered back, biting down hard on his piece of bread. He intended to stay out of this as much as possible, whether Rylan continued to try to drag him into the "discussion" or not. Enoch had no idea what sort of reactions he could expect from the other guild members, but at this point he was so drained he couldn't bother with making any predictions. He ate a couple red berries, staring up at Rylan expectantly. He'd react and mediate if absolutely necessary, but for now he'd wait and watch. Making a scene in front of the entire guild wouldn't help matters anyway.

He set the little healer down before plopping on the floor, still maintaining a slight smile. Rezza let out a small sigh seeing the Altheron was well. 'How fortunate. It worked.' He smiled watching the man get up, and was soon taken by surprise. Rezza now found himself far from the ground, dropping has staff as he ascended further, a small yelp hit the air as he was then twirled around. Once back on the ground Rezza took a deep breath, not far from crying. "Well," Taking a moment to regain his composure, Rezza addressed Altheron's statement. "mister Altheron, it pleases me greatly to see you are now well." He managed to feign a smile as he turned his attention back to Ooro. 'Fox-Man? That was rather rude.' Rezza took a quick glance around, more people had shown up. An old man and a woman who both appeared in rough shape, as well as Enoch. Just as he turned his head back he heard someone speak. Interrupting the chant he was trying to bring back to mind. Looking at the source briefly Rezza spotted Rylan. "I do not have time," He spoke rather quietly, letting no emotion through his voice, "mister Rylan, for your story. Others require assistance." Indifferent to whether he was heard or not Rezza retrieved his staff from the ground. "Miss Ooro, if I may, I request that you try to stay as still as possible." Breathing in heavily Rezza tried to get rid of all his emotions and held his staff in front of him. He cleared his throat as the words for the chant came to him, Rezza speaking them in perfect order. As the words came to their end he simply lowered his staff. It was a short chant, but just what was needed to ease a sore body. He looked at Ooro almost expectantly before opening his mouth. "Did that do anything to ease you pain?" he inquired

That didn't add up with what Manasa saw. Rylan was crying when he left the forest, and was so shaken by the exchange he was going to leave the guild. Rylan. The first name she learned, her first comrade, the first guild member she felt comfortable around. Things were tipped in Celty's favor, but Manasa didn't feel the woman was out right lying. "When I met up with him he was crying and said he was going to leave the guild, a... 'bully' wouldn't say that." The child was... was wrong. Manasa was taken back by it's behavior, like watching an animal do something unsightly. Why... Why did you bother to.. To keep it? A sudden wave of guilt passed through her, she felt an overwhelming feeling of nausea as painful memories that she did her best to bury for five years resurfaced. {Spoiler} "Manasa, you're being irrational. You can always just make another, maybe the next will be more palatable."
*
The desert heat scorched Manasa, even under the protection the the silk tents and curtains blocking out the sun's rays. How long has she been here? Ten... twenty... hours? The time had all faded together into one painful blur that felt like both an instant and an eternity. She laid upon a collection of pillows and sheets sprawled onto the floor, many of which had been stained various shades of gold over the past twenty hours.
Her hearing and eyesight were both blurry. At times she even wondered if she was even there, though a feeling of distinct emptiness kept her grounded. In the distance Manasa heard crying, though she was to tired to raise her head to discover it's source. She looked up at the sun filtering through the maroon tent over head, listening to and memorizing the sound. Though... something wasn't right. She could hear the two women who were in assisting her murmuring in hushed tones, but had trouble making out what they were saying. Was this how things went? Manasa swore the experience was different. Wouldn't she get to hold it by now?
The sound of footsteps echoed loudly in Manasa's ears as a blurred, but familiar form came into view. "Va...suki?"
Manasa's brother knelt down beside her, pulling strands of maroon hair behind his ear in his ongoing effort to ensure his own vanity. "This one was a failure." He plainly stated to his sister. Manasa's eyes jolted open, her fingered dug straight through the sheet and into the bamboo flooring below her with newfound strength.
"Let me see it!"
"Now you know why I can't do that."
"Is it a boy or a girl? Please! Let me hold them!" Manasa sat up and looked around the room in a panic, only for her brother to push her back down into the mountain of pillow. Golden, ink like tears began to form in her eyes, catching Vasuki off guard. Was she... crying? Why?
"To let it live would be a crime against Naga... Manasa. I told you not to get attached. That is our way."
"Don't touch me! Let me see me hold them!" Manasa tried to pushed against her brother's strength but it was of no use.
"Manasa, you're being irrational. You can always just make another, maybe the next will be more palatable." with Rylan's announcement Manasa was torn back to reality. She blotted ink like tears away from her face with her cape and turned towards him, opening her mouth to speak yet closing it meekly, too shaken to reply.

"Excuse me, everyone, I would like to tell you something that I recently discussed with Celty and Enoch while we were in the woods." The familiar voice broke Altheron away from his thoughts. He lifted himself up a bit, resting the top half of his weight on his forearms. It seemed Rylan was alright even with the loss of his leg. Altheron cringed a bit as he stared at the make-shift prosthetic, remembering the priest's screams from earlier. Even though Rylan appeared to be addressing everyone, the shaman felt he was really only talking to the two he named in the announcement, and who even were they? Celty? Enoch? Were those even names? he thought as he assumed his supine position again. He pulled out his spellbook again.

"Probably something foolish," he whispered back, biting down hard on his piece of bread. "Hmm. Wouldn't be hard for Rylan to make a fool of himself." Daryn took a handful of crumbs and stuffed them in her mouth. Her mind took her back to the time they had sparred at the church. She sighed to herself in annoyance. Rylan was so troublesome. It was too bad. She really thought they could have been friends of some sort. "How can he even have the energy to get riled up about anything? I'm having a hard time just keeping my eyes open." She waited for Rylan to announce his dumb announcement. She didn't really care what he had to say, but there was no ignoring something that seemed to be so important to one of the guild members.

Rylan looked around at all the faces in the guild, most of which were glaring or unconcerned, until his eyes stopped on Oxy. He looked back up towards everyone and began to speak.
"Uh...I've decided to leave the Shadow Slayers.. I can't seem to be anything but an absolute asshole around everyone I come in contact with these days. Perhaps it's from being away from society for so long or perhaps I just don't get along with people. Either way, I'll only bring the team down if I stay, so I'll be leaving in the morning, after I sleep for the night. I have people I need to meet up with anyways, family who may still be alive, who are expecting me home any day now. Haha after they see this leg, they'll be pissed! Thank you for the opportunity to work with you, Kama. I'm sorry that I upset quite a few of you.. And
Oxy..."
Rylan knelt down next to the small child and held out his hand, in it, a rather large, colorful rock.
"I hope you can forgive me, too. I'm not sure what sort of things you like, but I hope you like this."
He placed the rock down at Oxy's feet and got back up.
"It was very nice meeting those of you I did, and those of you I didn't, I'm sorry I didn't have the time. I'll be over in the woods if anything comes up, although, I'm sure you won't need me, hehe. Sorry to interupt the campfire."
Rylan began walking back towards the tree he had left his supplies under.
