Spica flinched as Freyja's fist closed in but the flick startled her more than anything else. Her hat was tipped off and she scrambled to place it back on firmly. 'What was that for!' she yelled, her ears flushed red. She had to get it together, yet she couldn't. Her earlier composure was no longer. 'What did I do wrong? Please enlighten me!' Spica was clearly embarrassed at this point, partially out of humiliation. "You used to much energy making the fist and not enough energy on that little crystal storm behind me. If that storm had been stronger, I would've been forced to block it and wouldn't have seen the fist coming." She smiled. "It was a good attempt though!" Freyja stood up straight, sympathy now in her eyes. "I'm sorry I've been so hard on you, but there IS a reason for it." She stated. "I needed to teach you a lesson. When you came to the Capitol, I already knew exactly what kind of warrior you were. You're cocky." Freyja spoke sternly "Believing in one's own abilities is a must, on the battlefield, but when that confidence turns into arrogance, that's when it becomes a problem. Cockiness without humility is dangerous. That's the kind of cockiness you have. You were so quick to declare yourself victor without landing a single hit on Alanis and called the search party weaklings without even observing their abilities!" Anger was now present in Freyja's voice. "That kind of arrogance leads to laziness and sloppiness. That's why I was able to dodge those attacks so easily. You didn't take into account your opponents abilities, due to your belief in your own... THAT is the kind of cockiness that gets people killed on the battlefield..." Freyja's voice wavered for a moment, as though it physically hurt her to say that. "Whether it's you, or the people around you. Cockiness without humility is like a deadly sword, and I never want to see you on either end of it..." Freyja began walking off, hoping that her words would reach the young witch. She knew it was unlikely, and that it would definitely take more time, but Freyja was determined to teach Spica, and the rest of the search party, how to be great warriors. Ones that she hopes can surpass herself one day. Freyja went back to watching over the battles, as some had yet to conclude.

The Glimmer smile. "I can do this," he said. Sparrow cupped his hands together, drawing in shards of glass which began to mold and take shape. In his three months of life he had gotten quite used to using his lodestone in this way. He would spend time other people would use to sleep or take care of themselves to prefect his craft, which was creating one type of creature in particular. "It's one of the birds that like to walk around in the city," he said, showing off the finished product; a glass pigeon. Sparrow knew not the names of any birds, just that he loved them all. The glass pigeon was then willed to hop out of the Glimmer's hands and onto the ground, perfectly copying a true pigeon's mannerisms. It's tiny head bobbed as it waddled over towards Pumilus. Pumilus watched the glass bird move about. Saying nothing, he moved his arms near the bird's path and brought some water droplets out of the ground. The droplets came together and created an ice flower, something he was interested in himself. Such simple life was still highly valued to him, though they were just emulating it. He looked back up at Sparrow and stopped paying attention to their creations. "That is pleasing. However I don't think this is what Freyja is looking for. Do you have anything else? I've already done most of what I do." Pumilus could also shoot water from his palms to blast people away, but there was no way he was going to do that to Sparrow.

"Murm Lumi." Uldrix repeated the name as he had with others and committed it to memory as he listened to Murm speak. Mentioning that he had never interacted with another Avenaudi only strengthened what little Uldrix knew of his own people---they were reclusive and terrible, and it was likely an oddity that he was speaking to another species outside his own at all. He tried to take this as an act of defiance against those who has tried to kill him in his first moments of life and later on when he tried to regroup with them. He would not be like them. He would do everything he could to avoid it. "Then perhaps they should learn to fight against that nature." He said, a bit of determination in his voice even though the statement seemed hypocritical coming from him. "Many creatures are born with both nature and consciousness. There must be...a choice." He rested his head back down, trying to convince himself. Watching Robin and his suddenly aggressive opponent fight, however, certainly wasn't helping his argument, even after things settled down. He sighed and rolled onto his back, letting the warmth of the sun heat his stomach. "There must be." He whispered again, not particularly speaking at Murm anymore. Murm watched the creature speak, nodding slightly as he took in the words. Uldrix rolled over seemingly speaking to himself. After a brief pause the man's demeanor transitioned ever so slightly, hovering between the gentle face he had put on and a more inquisitive face. "I see... I suppose you are correct that people can keep themselves separate from their natures, of course there would always come a time when those instinctual habits rise to the forefront." Taking in a deep breath Murm shrugged and turned his gaze to the sky. "There will surely always be times when one loses control, throws their body to instinct. Times when that is easier to do."

Rey was annoyed at Freyja's intervention and even more pissed at her ending the fight between her and Uldrix. "Pfft, ah coulda' dun dat..... Ah can make walls, too.." And with that, she shot up a barrier to her right and leaned against as she continued to pout and complain to herself, while at the same time also trying to think of ways to spar effectively with Freyja once she quit comforting the loser. However, once their little exchange was over, Freyja seemed to have changed her mind at who she'd be sparring with, instead leaving Rey to fight with some oddly-dressed female not too far from her current location. Rey scoffed at "Alanis", her screechy whining already giving her a headache. "Welp," she began. " If ah haf tuh....."Seeing Alanis as anything but a threat, Rey didn't care to waste all too much mana on her. Using her lodestone, she brought up a rock -one about the size of her fist- and whipped it forward, aiming it at the girl's face. Alanis looked around, hardly paying attention as she was pushed into yet another trivial fight. A breeze rushed by her with another flash of red that diverted the rock without the woman even noticing. "Oh great," said Alanis "I have to fight more trash." A light breeze began to flutter toward Rey from her right.

"I do not." A second bird formed, a second pigeon, though this one a less showy female. She and the the other began pecking at the ground together, occasionally raising their heads and taking a moment to groom one and other or ruffle their glass feathers before beginning to peck again. Sparrow was now trapped in his own little world. He kneeled down closer to the birds for better control, a calm expression on his face. "Are we done now?"

Pumilus watched the birds once again and thought about Sparrow's question. He had nothing left he wished to show, and if Sparrow didn't either, then they were certainly done. "I believe we are." Though Sparrow wasn't watching, Pumilus bowed low. "Thank you for this match. It was enlightening." He stood back up and thought about what had transpired. Sparrow barely attacked him. He hoped Sparrow at least could attack the enemy, for it would be unfortunate if he were ever in a difficult situation and did not fight back. "We should alert Freyja to our finished battle." Now that their fight was over, Pumilus walked stiffly towards Freyja and the others who had finished their fights. He silently wondered if Sparrow would follow, or continue to play with his birds in the field. His continued presence in the field could possibly prove to be dangerous, depending on other fights going on around him. Pumilus arrived near Freyja not long after. "We have finished our fight." He said, not going into any details. He then stood very still and silent. He would prefer to replenish his mana as soon as possible, and to do that it would result in him not moving at all. Moving his limbs in general would result in slow mana decrease. After fighting, his mana was now lower than usual. It would be unfortunate to let it get to the halfway point.

Spica listened to Freyja speak, or rather drone on until she left. 'Yeah, right.' She made sure there was no stray hair loose from the fight and straightened herself. 'Well, onto other things.' She dusted herself down and felt good knowing she'd get some time to herself.
Her headache grew worse. The old lady was right about one thing; her mana control was far from perfect. It was too easy to concentrate it all into that one move, and it all happened fast enough to make any sort of back up. She didn't think too much about that fact however, her pride remained tall even after Freyja's words.
'First things first, I need to take that.' What she was speaking of was a herb mixture she made in order to cope with the fatigue better. After some time she got the knack for the practice and had secreted some on her, knowing chances to bring out a pestle and mortar was unlikely. She ingested a little and her tongue curled up from the taste. 'Disgusting.' But the throbbing was already dying down. She whipped up a little crystal block to sit on and thought back to those at home. For once she was glad they weren't there to see her just then.

Freyja was again taken off guard by Pumilus, as she hadn't seen him coming due to his short stature. She looked down to him, surprised that the boy didn't have a scratch on him. She looked up, expecting to see Sparrow decimated, but he too seemed completely unharmed. She raised an eyebrow at the two, incredibly confused. "You two....do know what sparring is, right? How could your fight be over? Neither of you have taken any damage!" She looked to Louis, who seemed to have been watching the battles transpire. "HEY! NEWBIE!" She shouted "COME OVER HERE AND MEET YOUR TEAMMATES!!" She turned away from the two, now focusing on the remaining battles, surprised that they weren't over yet. These people clearly knew how to spar. Freyja looked up towards the sky once more. The sun was beginning to fall, but there was still more than enough light out for them to continue fighting. "Hmm...wonder if I should end these sparring matches now and move on to the next exercise or let these play out......" She mumbled to herself. "Eh, we'll have plenty of time to train in The Outskirts! Not like that spire is going anywhere....well again, at least.."

"We demonstrated our skills to each other without needing to harm one another. I believe this is sufficient. If you are wondering, Sparrow is skilled at barriers. His problem solving is standard. He can redirect attacks by covering them with his glass. I think this is adequate information." Pumilus finished his analysis of their fight for Freyja. He did not bother talking about what he did himself.

As Rory hit the ground, she bent her knee and took a moment to brace herself through the impact, putting her arms up protectively over the back of her head and neck. "Phew, swift dodging!" she shouted, stumbling forward for a moment, the ground having buckled a bit under the foot that absorbed the most force. She stayed low to the ground before spreading her wings and propelling herself back into the air, hoping she could get high enough before Vera could nab her again with the claws. " Damn it!" She thought as the girl got up. If she had just been a bit quicker to pin her down with her one foot... No matter: Rory was about to fly up in the air again: and not to make the same mistake she did last time. She focused her attention on the harpy, and shot up again, her mana being restored from the slight break. Only this time, she wouldn't make a sound as she was propelling upwards. Hoping the harpy wasn't paying complete attention to her whereabouts, she attempted to grip the girl's shoulders, later making preparations to use the added weight to drag her downwards, to pin her down and declare victory. ...and then maybe make it up to her.

All of a sudden a weight on her shoulders forced her at a high speed towards the ground, the harpy flailing in surprise as she was taken off guard. In her efforts to get airborne once again, the draconid was able to maneuver into her blind spot. Rory was cut off mid-shout as she hit the ground chest first, the wind knocked out of her, her head now spinning from the headache that had already been brewing. She scrambled to morph her right mechanical arm into the blade, pointing it towards Vera's head and holding it there. There now wasn't any way she could even attempt to rival the draconid in the air through her current dizziness, but she wanted to at least end the match in a defensive position. The harpy sputtered for a couple moments, her eyebrows drawing together as she tried to piece together coherent breathy sounds before she was able to weakly reply, "Y-Ya got me, I'm done." A weak grin spread across her face as she tried to look up over her shoulder at Vera.

A weak grin spread across her face as she tried to look up over her shoulder at Vera. Her attack proved successful as she dragged the harpy to her 'doom', leaving her almost defenseless outside of one blade pointed at her. It only meant one thing... Victory!
Vera silently celebrated her achievement before realizing the means that she used to accomplish her goals. The harpy, despite her annoying demeanor and chipper attitude, didn't deserve such brutality on Vera's part. She heaved herself off the harpy to let her breathe easier, and brushed her armor and legs off of any stray feathers and other debris. "Sorry.. Didn't mean to be that savage with fighting," She sheepishly apologized, her voice faltering just a tad to accompany the sentiment. She scratched the back of her scalp for a brief moment before responding again "I'll let you rest for a bit. If you need me to help with anything basic, I can do that." She turned around to face Freyja to explain the situation. "We're done here," She switched to a more matter fact of tone, her hand raised to catch the Ifreet's attention.

"Phew, that was a rough landing!" she sighed as she finally started catching her breath, stumbling up to her feet and ruffling her feathers to try and shake off the dust and dirt that accumulated from the rough landing. "Do you fly with your lodestone? You fly so well, I'm jealous!" she hummed and asked curiously, her voice still breathy from the impact. She waved at Freyja weakly with her wing and morphed the bladed mechanical arm back into a hand.

She visually cringed as she watched Rory hit the floor. "Oooo...that looks like it hurt..." "Yeah, I'd say so!" she shouted over to the two. Rory seemed to be alive, and that's all that really mattered. They'd be resting soon anyways. The only fights left seemed to be Rey against Alanis and Ilia against Monaiya. Freyja scratched the back of her head as she looked back towards the sun. The sunset was nearly upon them, and if the battles proceeded any further, she may have to call them off. She decided to let the battles run a little longer. "ALRIGHT!" She shouted "GO ALL OUT! LET'S FINISH THIS BEFORE IT GETS DARK! I DON'T WANT TO STAND IN THE DAMN COLD ALL NIGHT WHILE YOU ALL SPAR!! SPEED IT UP!!"

Illia saw the wind ball and put her plan on action. Illia jumped high in the air avoiding the wind ball the last moment. "Whew, that was close... if that specific wind ball had hit me, it would propably be able to damage me" she thought to herself as she was still on air. When Illia began to fall, she formed some sort of spiral with four of her legs infront of herself just like she did last time, only that that time, there was no electricity. She was falling with a great speed and she directed her attack to Monaiya. "Crap, Crap, Crap, CRAP, CRAP, CRAP!" Monaiya tries to make a wind shield to block the attack. "OHHH buddy, this is getting tough that nails!" Howover, she was feeling a little weak and then, she took the attack from Illia. "HHURRRPHHBURRSSS" Monaiya fell after got hurt. "Okay... I'll admit...I deserved that... I will not give up!" Monaiya tries to get up but it's not working. "I..must continue...the...training!! To prove those jerk-wads dating my parents wrong" Monaiya collasped to the ground. "Err... I messed up" Monaiya thought to herself. " Look on the bright side, Monaiya. At least those jerk-wads at home aren't seeing you like this." ((SOrry for the late reply. I was resting for a while and when I was ready to reply, there was some drama at home which killed my motivation for most things, including RPing. Luckily some are coming back so, yeah. Again, really sorry.))
