Pumilus did not find the exaggerated bow very amusing, and was about to take a step in the direction he wanted to go when a pillars of fire started shooting up from the ground. Pumilus was startled by the one in front of him and he jumped backward, taking a few stiff steps before bumping into the man behind him. He muttered a soft apology as he noticed Murm seemed to be quite afraid of the situation at hand, judging by his expression. "Do not worry, I am able to counteract these attacks." Pumilus once again went to take a step towards some of the clusters of trees to not only hide from the attackers, but try to help destroy the beasts from the shadows. He now knew they were made of clay, meaning he didn't have as much of a problem fighting them as before. He was still a bit wary of it, but would not regret ending their existence later. Before he fully started his advance to the position he'd wanted, he stepped back and tugged on the man's red coat. "Come now, this way." Murm snapped his focus to the small being before him listening to their words. Gulping down his panic and distracting feelings once more, the man gave an affirmative nod. "Of course." He made his way to follow Pumilus, a rather stone-faced expression adorning his face. Despite the discomfort he felt with these monsters preferred method of attack, he knew this wasn't the time to let ones own feelings distract them from the ensuing battle.

Uldrix looked over to the ticking sound being produced by Sparrow's clock and blinked at it. "You cannot save them." He said, his voice harsh and feral. "They are the e n e m y. You do not show mercy when fighting those that oppose you." Sparrow watched devastated as Uldrix destroyed the crystal being before him. That was the end. When a glimmer's body is destroyed so is their soul. Sparrow could only assume that the very same had happened to the creature before him, that it's entire world just ended in an instant. With two cupped hands Sparrow scooped up what little remained of the creature. All that was left was ruby red dust, yet as it fell through his fingers it shimmered just as he did. A beastly roar grabbed Sparrow's attention just in time for him to see a wellspring of fire begin to erupt between he and Uldrix. In an act of selflessness the glimmer created a barrier in front of his companion. The heat, however, would make quick work of the weak glass. Knowing this Sparrow pushed the barrier and the avenaudi forward and out of harm's way. With no defense and no time to escape the pillar of flames knocked Sparrow back, coming in contact with the front of his body and engulfing on of his arms. The glimmer tumbled across the ground, leaving a trail of crystal sand behind before finally ramming into a crystal formation and coming to a stop. As he got back onto his feet Sparrow then notice something was... missing...

"Ah crap! CRAP CRAP CRAP!!!"
Monaiya dodged every fire from the ground. She jump up into the air, thanks to her wind powers.
"Okay, Monaiya. You gotta do this! You gotta make it out alive if you wanna make it for you parents, you dumb sack of-"
Before she finish was able to finish that thought, however..
".....Oh crap, this glimmer needs to defend himself quick..."
Monaiya lands on the ground close to where Sparrow is at. She ran as fast as she could.
"Sparrow! Is it? Look, I might have to get you protected. Here."
Monaiya turns back and lend out her hands.
"Climb onto my back. I'll carry you through this battle!"

"Gods damn it." She muttered to herself as she forced her fist through one of the beasts. "RORY!! GET IT TOGETHER!! THESE GUYS AREN'T AS TOUGH AS YOU THINK!!! YOU'RE MORE THAN ENOUGH TO TAKE THEM ON! LOOK!!" Freyja picked one of the lodestone beasts up by two of its crystals and tore it in half. "IF AN OLD HAG LIKE ME CAN DO IT, YOU'RE MORE THAN ENOUGH TO HANDLE THEM!! SHOW THEM WHOSE BOSS!!" Tears welled up in Rory's eyes as she listened to and watched Freyja, nodding a little bit and sniffling, yelping and dodging mid-air as a pillar of fire shot up from the ground underneath her. Watching the woman rip one of the strange clay monstrosities apart as if it were tissue paper did give her some hope and relief. Her body was still quaking in fear, but after seeing Vera divebombing the largest one which now charged towards their leader, her breath hitched up in her throat. The others were fighting, despite their fear. "V-Vera F-Freyja b-be careful!" she almost shouted, the words only coming out as a stifled gasp. There was a flurry of chaos down near a few of the fighters, where she saw Monaiya picking up Sparrow who appeared to have lost his arm. She widened her eyes and yelped, her spear pointed out in front of her as she dive bombed the area and skewered several of the lesser enemies, trying to clear a path for them to get to safety. "G-Get to safety, kids!" she shouted, her voice probably wavering more than any of theirs as she made another swooping attack towards other enemies in the vicinity, zig zagging to avoid the retaliatory blasts of fire. Freyja was right at least, the smaller enemies certainly weren't as scary as they looked once she started swinging.

Myrri turned and saw Monaiya helping Sparrow and dashed over to help ward off any attacks. As she approached she was blocked by a three-eyed lodestone beast. She knew that she didn't have enough time to charge her blaster and realized she had, at some point lost her knife. As she approached she feinted right and darted left, behind the now-distracted demon. Once behind him, she punched a section of exposed skin as hard as she could, the soft clay bending from the contact. She then used her fingers to create a crack in the creature's skin. It spun around angrily and Myrri was forced backward. She felt her back press up against a lodestone and took a fighting stance. As the monster camr near, she leaped up and used the rock as a springboard to leap over the beast. She inserted her hand into th already made crack and, using force alone, ripped the demon in half. She turned and headed for Monaiya. When she neared, she let out a shout of 'Hey Monaiya, need a hand?'

The glimmer had helped him once again...despite what he was, despite his harshness and brutality, despite how Sparrow himself was injured in the process, despite ALL this...
Sparrow had defended him.Uldrix shot forward, shattering the glass barrier that Sparrow has put in place to protect him in the process. The glass cut his skin but he paid no mind to this, instead rushing to where Sparrow was. He crouched onto all fours and lowered his head for a moment, despite the battle going on around them. "I will protect you." The words came from his beak in the same bright, blinding blue that Lavinix's speech had displayed. Although even the avenaudi himself wasn't aware of it:
It appeared Uldrix had imprinted on Sparrow.

Monaiya nodded.
"Thanks Rory! I owe one!"
Monaiya looked around and see that Myrri is willing to help out. This gives Monaiya an idea.
"Myrri, thank goodness you're here! Okay, so here's the plan. We both run the path Rory has set up. I'll try my best to attack in case if any other monster shows up while we're running, though it will be hard for me to given I'm gonna carry Sparrow. I need a helping hand when it comes to attacking the monsters."
Monaiya looks back at Sparrow.
"Well, Sparrow, I may have to carry you by default. Please get on my back quickly!"

Sparrow rose to his feet, looking around at all of his friends that had come to help him. They all did good. The glimmer brought his hand to the opening where light was peaking out, trying his best to keep it from escaping. His hair had begun to grow noticeably shorter, and his power weakened, but he was in no physical pain. "Thank you for coming to help. I do not hurt, but we need to trap the light inside."
A thought then came to Sparrow. Spica had often bragged of her expertise, twirling her wand around and showing off the lodestones within. One of her lodestones was glass, and the other was...
"Crystal. I need to go to Spica, she has a crystal lodestone and can unbreak my arm."

'Got it, I'll cover you the best I can. You just focus on getting Sparrow out of the battlefield.' Myrri replied, setting her blaster to mana depletion mode. Myrri ran a hand across her brow, fatigued from all the spent mana but prepared to keep fighting. She took up position in front of the group and fired a few blasts into the crowd. 'Come on!' She shouted, charging into the fray.

"Crystal. I need to go to Spica, she has a crystal lodestone and can unbreak my arm." Uldrix flicked out his tongue. "Yes, of course." He moved in front of Sparrow carefully, guarding the path in front of him. Any sound that got within a few feet of him he slashed at without mercy. He didn't know why, but it was suddenly incredibly important to him that he protect this creature.

"Right! Let's-!"
"WHOA!!!!..." She then realized it was Uldrix "Oh! It's you!"
This hits Monaiya with another plan.
"Okay, Plan A.E, Uldrix, guard Sparow to lead him to the path Rory set up while Myrri and I attack!!!"
Monaiya raised her voice enought for Myrri to hear.
"Okay, let's do this."
Monaiya followed the same path as Myrri. She tries to catch up to her.
"Seems that Uldrix is gonna protect Sparrow, so, we have equal amount of attacks for the monsters."

(( Here's a sketch of Gear's reaction kind of lool)) Gear was shocked senseless. Passed on? T-that can't be true... he thought. His breathing had become jagged, his pulse quickening. "Y-you said you would bring them back. You said you w-would. You said you would bring them back..." he muttered, sinking down to his knees in despair. He was losing himself, and despite all of the yelling and other actions that ensued, Gear didn't react to a single one. His parents were all that mattered to him. They gave up everything and risked everything just that he wouldn't meet the same fate as the rest of his species. Gear often felt that he was a burden on his parents, and in that way he could relate to Freyja's words when she came out to console him after her outburst. It was then that his earpiece spoke to him. Well? How is it going? Are you doing what I asked? As soon as he heard the voice, his mind filled with rage. "You said you would protect them!" he shouted, though no one would know who he was talking to. "My parents are... my parents are..." He just couldn't say the word. The voice responded some time later. ... Would you like to see them, my precious child? Gear's breath caught in his throat. Then you will continue to stay with the bounty hunter. And that was it.
Gear was terrified of entering The Outskirts again, but he had to stay with Freyja. The man's words had given him hope. Hope that Freyja was simply lying about his parents. Maybe they were completely different people. It was possible for Freyja to be mistaken, right? Of course. She hadn't known what Gear's parents looked like. Freyja guided them into The Outskirts, where they landed relatively close to Zil'Carm, where his parents were last seen. The group walked the rest of the way and hadn't had much time before the monsters showed up. "See!? I told you there were monsters!" He yelled at no one in particular. The Mother, as in the biggest creature, had launched meteors at the the group, but Gear was shocked. "No! Miss, you'll be hit by the meteor too!" Gear marveled at the weapons of light that Limarah used. "C-cool!" he shouted. He may have hated lodestones, but he couldn't hate someone who would risk their life to protect someone as useless as him. "Thank you, miss!" He said with a smile.

"Thank you everybody," Sparrow nodded. "Thank you Uldrix." He followed behind the avenaudi closely, tightly gripping his arm. As he made his way towards the witch Spica. Sparrow nervously and cautiously looked around the battlefield, keeping a close eye on his friends. If the got hurt helping him, he would feel absolutely horrible. Despite the fact that his broken arm lead his his mana being drained, when a lodestone creature drew near Myrri from behind he did not hesitate to form a glass formation under it's feet, catapulting it away from her.
He had helped his friend and prevented the crystal creature from becoming a casualty. He had done good.
When Sparrow had finally gotten close enough to Spica, he could hear a beautiful sound. The glimmer blinked in aw at the crystal barrier she had made, not only was it an impressive structure but to him it sung the most beautiful of melodies. The barrier, however, was a hindrance. It kept him and the witch apart.

Uldrix could see the witch on the other side. He looked back at Sparrow and the ticking watch, narrowing his eyes. Although he could not tell based on vitals what the creature was thinking...he somehow felt connected to them in a new way. He knew that Sparrow wasn't happy about the barrier blocking the way, and this made Uldrix unhappy in return. "I will remove what causes you to be upset." He said to Sparrow before turning towards the barrier and firing off a powerful sound wave at it. Hopefully it would be enough to allow him and his companion to make it to the witch in time.

Luckily, the rest of the night ceased to pose any more problems. They were able to enjoy their upbeat tunes without worry of conflict. Though as the members started heading for bed, Robin decided to head in as well. Their hands strayed to the straps of their mask, gently prying them out of their belts as they were about to remove the cover before resting until their mind was struck with the reminder. I can't take it off here. At least back at the shop, they could rest without their guise burdening them, but they couldn't risk it here. What if a group member strayed and saw them while they slept? If it stayed on, there was a chance Robin would wake up if someone dared to attempt its removal. Their fingers stopped in their track, weaving the straps through their buckles once more before laying down. They folded their arms behind their head and stared up at the ceiling as their eyelids grew heavier with the passing time. {Spoiler-A small memory} Across the table had been an array of assorted tools- wrenches, screwdrivers, a drill, and even a few loose gadgets. A man had been seated there, fidgeting his glasses as he pushed and pulled the frames closer to his, a stricken expression littering his face. His lips were tightly pursed, and his eyebrows furrowed as his free hand tapped against the wood. His eyes strayed to the doorway, as the distant footsteps in the nearby room grew nearer. A figure, wearing a cover over their face had approached who was now lifting a pack over their shoulders. "You're already wearing it?" the man's tone carried a hint of disappointment as they spoke. The figure silently stared at the man, before sauntering over to the counter to reach for an item.
"Wait," the man called out, gripping at their shirt sleeve just barely, "Before you go, please, let me see your face. There is a chance... you might never come back." The masked figure seem to understand the aged man as they nodded their head slowly. Thus, their hands reached for the back of the obstruction... It had been a few days since they left, hadn't it? *** The crystal overgrowth flooded the outskirts as their jagged edges peeked about their surroundings. Freyja had just managed to get them over the wall, when a colossal track was immediately spotted among the wilds. Robin flinched at the sight of it, not completely aware of what they were about to become face-to-face with. Yet the earth beneath them shook as the gargantuan beast emerged from the woods, its followers trailing behind before charging ahead of their mother. Without warning, the creature hurled fireballs in each of their directions. Crap! The only way that was possible for Robin to evade such a sudden onslaught was to propel themselves backwards, and seeing no other option available, drew both their guns from their holsters and fired their highest charges simultaneously. It launched them out of the way in time, and actually allowed some distance between them and the strange amalgamates. Nearby had been the remains of one of the creature, did they hit one? Well, go figure if so. There was little time to spare however, and both of their weapons needed to recharge. Swiftly, they partially charged one of their weapons while letting the other rest in its slot to gain a full charge. Though, they had to find secure themselves a safer spot or a group and fast if they wanted to survive. It was a bit of a shame to have had to use such a powerful charge already, being that it may have proved more useful against The Mother herself. It was necessary for their own safety, however. Now they just need to stand their ground while waiting for their charges to replenish. The gun drawn had only been but a fraction replenished, and could only them for a few seconds at a time- but every one counted. With that, they moved forward in search of a nearby teammates. One of the crystallized beasts from before emerged at their side, and they fired a shot straight towards the creature, hoping to outrun it with the time bought. As long as they weren't knocked off their feet- they could move at a decent pace. Though it didn't hold the beast for long, as soon it began to follow them once more. It was slow, giving Robin a bit of the upper hand as their gun was now fully charged, allowing them to let the other charge in its place. They were getting ready to finish the beast off as they allowed it to draw closer, when a pillar of flames erupted in their path. An idea sparked, and instead of wasting their charges, decided to let the beast continually charge them as they took the initiative to even draw themselves closer to it- allowing for the pillar to hit the creature instead. Wasting charges would prove detrimental; if there was opportunity to save them, it was best to seize it. Their weapons had both amassed full charges, and could be dual wielded once more. While scanning the surrounding area for a potential team, they heard a voice nearby. There were two younger looking members not too far off- one of them being a gunner like themselves. "I got your back!" they called out, they fired shots at the monsters that opposed to their crossing, weakening the growths on their bodies before firing a final shot to finish them off. "We have to advance towards that thing," they pointed at the colossal. "I'll help cover us."
