A whirlwind surrounded Alanis and absorbed all of the fire, then widening until both the wind and the fire dissipated. The woman stumbled aside afterward, not sure what had just happened.
Nearby, Alanis' mysterious wind drew in force from the current of rising air that was resulting from all of the fire usage. The wind was collected and swirled around back down to the ground where it formed a winding path around Alanis' immediate area. Moments later a familiar flash of crimson flowed through the path of the wind, which passed around several of the crystal monster. The blindingly fast attack was over in an instant, and subsequently four of the creatures fell dead from deep blade-wound-like injuries. At least three more suffered non-lethal damage of the same type.
Seeing this, Alanis looked around nervously for an exit. She was definitely in a bad spot here. Even though she considered herself to be competent because of the wind power that she thought she controlled, deep down she was still very afraid of everything happening around her. Her cool was shattered when pillars of fire began to shoot up all around as some of the others fought the towering mongrel that headed the attack.
"Shit!" Alanis spat, seeing that there was no way she could escape the battlefield. Cursing herself for getting into this mess, she slunk closer to the rest of the group where hopefully she would be safer.

Murm snapped his focus to the small being before him listening to their words. Gulping down his panic and distracting feelings once more, the man gave an affirmative nod. "Of course." He made his way to follow Pumilus, a rather stone-faced expression adorning his face. Despite the discomfort he felt with these monsters preferred method of attack, he knew this wasn't the time to let ones own feelings distract them from the ensuing battle. Getting affirmation that the man was following, Pumilus and Murm made it to the cover of the trees. From this point he could attack the monsters from a distance and not have to worry about Murm getting injured. Pumilus brought some of the moisture from their surroundings into a large water ball and hurled it towards the hoard of beasts. On its way, it became a ball of ice, and on impact of the group, crushed a number of adversaries. Pumilus morphed the now broken ball of ice into medium-sized ice shards, brought them over the group once again and stabbed as many creatures with them as he could. Some of the shards bounced off the lodestones on the beasts for they were not strong enough to break them. So far, none of the beasts realized their hiding spot yet.

So far so good. Spica had managed to take out a good deal of the opposition, simply by repeating what she'd done the first time. They were strong, but slow enough for her to catch them off guard before they even knew it. She paused to see if the others were doing the same. They seemed alright; better than what she expected to see.
Spica's third eye had already locked onto its next target. The mother.
'I will not rush in so blindly.' she remarked, knowing that her current tactic wouldn't do any good. Yet, that was her target and seeing that all the previous others had gone smoothly, if she used enough tact could take them down a notch or two.
Firstly, Spica began to set a plan into motion. She lodged some crystals well into the ground for later. Then she extended her barrier, seeing that the mother was considerably larger than the other mutts. Gathering the crystal used on other enemies, Spica formed a titan, smaller than what she'd usually make. She unleashed them onto the horde, knowing it could clear the way to the mother.
'Here it goes.'
She felt a distrubance during her plan. Her barrier was being attacked. Turning around she noticed Uldrix and subsequently Sparrow. What do they want? She lowered her barrier, for the time being letting her titan do the fighting.
'So any reason you two are here? I am kind of busy right now.' she sneered.

Gear marveled at the weapons of light that Limarah used. "C-cool!" he shouted. He may have hated lodestones, but he couldn't hate someone who would risk their life to protect someone as useless as him. "Thank you, miss!" He said with a smile. "You're welcome" she replied, and was thinking of initiating a conversation when
With that, The Mother summoned enormous pillars of fire from the ground, shooting sporadically near each member. This wasn't all, however, as the Mother noticed Freyja rapidly approaching, and started barreling towards her, as if to try and ram the bounty hunter. the ground started lighting up. This was surprisingly inconvenient for Limarah. Was the monster intelligent enough to target a stationary target in such a way? Did the monster come to the conclusion that Limarah would struggle to defend an attack underneath her? These were not some of Limarah's thoughts. "I'm sorry little one. It seems like I cannot stay here like I promised." Limarah put her weapon on her back. This made it so that Gear couldn't see the lodestone, so perhaps it was better this way. "Keep still okay?" Limarah asked Gear as she picked him up and put him on her lap. Light in the shape of wings appeared on her weapon as she jumped back away from the pillar of fire. The pillar of fire caught onto the bottom of her dress since she was taking her time. While carrying Gear with one hand, she used the small bit of water magic she knew for cooking to extinguish the flame on her dress. The dress she was wearing was quite valuable, however, the monster didn't seem to get to Limarah's nerves just yet. With the last third of her weapon, a giant crossbow like figure sprouted, shooting at the Mother's face. Limarah didn't bother to check where her attacks would be effective, but instead shot attacks to not seem rude to the team by participating in their battle. "I hope you aren't too worried Gear. There may still be some nice fellows in the air. Hahahahah." She began to realize how ridiculous she was acting, but continued anyways regardless of how embarrassing her actions were. Soaring through the air she flew next to Rory and cheerfully waved her hand, "Hello~! Battling is really something isn't it? Heheheheh!" Perhaps it would have been helpful for Limarah to help Freyja, but she believed Freyja could fight alone as was proven before. As odd as it may have been, Limarah was simply enjoying herself and trying to converse with the other party members instead of battling. ((I got permission from zen to have my character carry his.))

The beast had been hurdling towards Freyja so quickly there was no time for her to dodge it's attack. Instead, steam erupted from her arms as she jammed her fingers into the Mother's stone face, pushing against it with all her might. She created stone footholds to push against the force as well, stopping the monster dead in its tracks. Freyja noticed a small gem on top of the creatures head. A fine cut fire lodestone. Why is that lodestone manufactured?? Freyja didn't dwell on this much as she ripped her hand from the beast's face and brought her fist straight into the lodestone atop its head. The Mother shrieked in absolute pain and anguish, alerting all the smaller lodestone monsters to turn their attention towards Freyja. The warrior gulped as she saw all eyes of the enemy locked on her. Hopefully the rest of the group could get their attention off her, as fighting an entire army herself was not something Freyja was keen on doing.
The Mother howled in anger as Freyja punched the manufactured lodestone atop its stone mask, and backed away from the woman, bucking wildly like an angered bull and killing tens of lodestone beasts in the process. This creatures suffering was far from over, however. Vera's attack landed, only to show that this monstrosity was not made out of clay like the smaller beasts. The skin appeared to be fur, but felt like rubber. Whatever this substance was, it wasn't giving away easily, and one dive bomb was not going to injure it substantially. The Mother began to buck wildly once more, slaughtering even more of the army it had amassed, trying to get whatever was attacking it off.
Myrii's attack hit the creature, but didn't appear to do anything. The Mother already seemed to hold no regard for the beasts around it, and killed them recklessly just as it would a human. The creature let out a mighty roar, its eyes focused back on Freyja. For an unknown reason, this creature seemed intent on destroying this bounty hunter. It's focus changed however, as another attack was launched at it.
The beast shrieked in pain once more, all the lodestone beasts now turning their attention to the culprit, Kyanalurin. They all began charging towards the girl, until..
The Mother noticed a crystal golem that was not her own construct, and growled as if it were threatening her territory. She released an enormous flamethrower from the slits in the mask, the flames so hot they burned the golem to ashes, along with any lodestone beasts nearby. The Mother scraped its claw against the ground a few times, preparing itself to charge once more.
The hard light arrow fired by Limarah managed to hit the creature in one of the holes Freyja had made by digging her fingers into it's mask. The arrow cracked the mask immensely, but failed to shatter it. The confused Mother screamed in pain once more, sending out an order for the small lodestone beasts to attack anyone living thing in the area. They all began firing off large orbs of fire in random directions, clearly disoriented due to their Mother's pain. The Mother began to limp backwards, trying its best not to step on her right leg, as it had taken the most damage in this fight. The Mother whimpered as though it were a cornered animal, just trying to fight for its survival. The Mother screamed once more, the sky turning a blood red as fireballs rained down from the heavens. If this were the Mother's death bed, she wasn't going down without a fight.

The glimmer scampered forward, head lowered. The witch both intimidated him and struck him with awe in how she could so effortlessly control such beautiful crystals. He presented his arm to her, quickly removing his hand so she could see before clamping onto it once more. When he did so wisps of light escaped the damaged arm before rising up into the air and vanishing. "I was hurt and need your help. If all of my light leaves I will die."
The glimmer looked towards both Uldrix as well as the beautiful crystals Spica had formed. He turned back towards the witch, raising his head to meet her gaze for the first time. "Healing cannot help me, only a crystal lodestone can."

The haphazard attacks sent out by the beasts nullified Pumilus and Murm's cover, and many fireballs managed to be aimed toward them. Pumilus created a large ice barrier covering both their front and overhead positions, for that's where all the attacks came from. The barrier was weakened with every few blows and Pumilus had to pour more and more mana into maintaining it. This was not a pleasant endeavor, and Pumilus had reached the halfway point of his mana reserves. A fleeting thought that he could very well be immobilized if he kept this up for too long soon crossed his mind, and he had to tell Murm while he had the chance. "If I run out of mana I won't be able to move. I still have a good amount, but-" Pumilus focused a bit on making his ice barrier stronger again, "but you should know that is a- a possibility." Pumilus was doing his best to keep his demeanor unaffected by the oncoming attacks, but to anyone observant, his struggle would be apparent. Pumilus still had enough mana to last him a while in this fight, but he didn't want to run out before letting him know, just in case.

Luckily her attack hit, but the 'Mother' made it so that all of the smaller ones were relentlessly attacking now. "Oh dear, This is a bit troublesome isn't it? It's raining cats and dogs." Limarah then used a bit of magic to slide her weapon back into her hand to produce a different kind of light. This time it was an umbrella and a wing. Limarah then addressed Rory, "There's just enough room for you sweetheart! It's not healthy to stay in the hot rain. If the rain does not suit your taste visually, I will provide whatever interests you dearie." With that being said, a rose sprouted at the side of her weapon.

Soaring through the air she flew next to Rory and cheerfully waved her hand, "Hello~! Battling is really something isn't it? Heheheheh!" Rory had just come back up after another swooping attack, flapping in place and staring as the kind reindeer lady was soaring up next to her on what appeared to be wings of light. Dumbfounded by her surprise, the harpy stared for a moment before cracking a grin. She couldn't help it, there was something so funny and so sweet about the whole situation, and she found herself waving back with one of her smaller arms. The little boy from the inn who'd lost his parents was with her. "Y-Yeah it's really something!" she replied, pupils dilating as the sky turned red overhead. The Mother screamed once more, the sky turning a blood red as fireballs rained down from the heavens. If this were the Mother's death bed, she wasn't going down without a fight. Rory let out a crow of surprise as meteors came raining down from the heavens, instinctively covering her head with her two larger metal limbs, glancing over as she heard Limarah speak once more. A large umbrella of light now stretched overhead and... A rose?? "E-Eh?? W-What is this??
It took one mere singe to her rear to send the flustered harpy ducking for cover next to the kind and motherly reindeer woman. "T-Thank you," she croaked out, bringing her arms down and staring in surprise at the form they'd taken. Stretched out, the two had morphed into makeshift kite shields. Sloppy, and inefficient in the density of the metal but, it was something different than her standard fare.
"Hey mo--" She stopped herself in her tracks before she completed that sentence, almost casually referring to the lady in a much more maternal manner. Her face bright red, she gathered her thoughts and started that sentence over again. "H-Hey Limarah, h-how do you do that with your weapon? Like the bow and arrow? Do you just concentrate, or does it come naturally?" She morphed one of the shields back into her blade and took a deep breath, looking back towards the fray, slowing down her flow of questions. "Could you teach me after the battle?"

The large man let out a relieved sigh as the fire that had begun to rain down from the sky was stopped before it could reach the two. He moved his gaze from the ice shield that had been created above them to the small android before him. His relief fell as he noticed the sheer amount of work Pumilus was putting in to maintaining the shield. Murm gulped the knot building in his throat as he thought about the androids words, and just what it would mean should they choose to keep protecting the man. "I see..." While he would have preferred his ally to use their energy to help the situation at hand rather than protecting him, if it were so vital, he was completely unsure of how to express this.

'Fine, if that means you'll leave me alone.' Spica stepped closer to Sparrow before the Mother launched its attack. Responding quickly, Spica raised her wand skyhigh, creating a barrier to shield all three of them.
'Such a pain.' she muttered, going back to focus on the matter at hand. 'So I just need to patch it up, is that it?'
She held her wand steady and from it a new crystal growth because to appear on Sparrow's arm, until the hole was no more. Sighing, she withdrew her wand.
'Make sure that doesn't happen again, got it?' she barked. 'Give your arm a go, it should be fine now.' She smirked.

Monaiya looks at Robin.
"Oh, thanks buddy, We need help-"
"Oh crap.... Okay, Plan B..... DODGE AND COVER UP FOR SAFETY"
Monaiya shield herself, Robin, and Myrri with her wind powers so the fire won't hit them.
"I shield while we run for it!"
Monaiya tries her best to run and shield at the same time.

Myrri leaped under the makeshift shield and began furiously reprogramming her gun. She had never tried to change the internal systems to this extent, but she was confident in her ability. She flipped two wires around and replaced the metal overcoating. 'HEY MONAIYA,' she shouted, 'This blast should replenish some of your mana, so let it hit you, okay?' She fired, the gun began heating up in a worrying way, but it soon went back to normal and fired a light purple blast at Monaiya. Myrri had switched the input of other's energy into an output, allowing her to give the mana she had stolen from the monsters back to her allies.

The Mother let out a bloodcurdling shriek that was enough to tear the sky by itself- until her next course of action was quite literally doing so. The was stained red as the fire began to descend upon them, the flames hurling haphazardly in each direction.
Their eyes widened at the sight- had they any defense? They were preparing to attempt the dodge, when the young girl cried out:
She had used her wind lodestone to propel the fire out of their direction, and while running may have been appropriate, watching the girl redirect the blasts had been rather interesting as well...
"Hey, miss! Do you think you can somehow redirect those back to The Mother while still shielding us?" they spoke quickly, firing shots at any of the upcoming enemies who dared to inch closer to the group. "If you don't think so- don't bother, but if there's a way it could sure prove handy right about now! I can help keep the monsters off you."

"Thanks Myrri!"
Monaiya let's the light purple blast hit her. She felt more powerful
Monaiya thought about it for a moment. It's either taking a gamble with "The Mother" or staying safe...Monaiya has decided.
"You gave me an idea. I direct the fire to attack 'Mother". If there's not that much fire left, we'll continue attacking the weaker monsters!"
Monaiya used her wind to redirect the fire to The Mother.
