Albany allowed this blow up without saying a word until it was finished, her hands crossed pleasantly in her lap. "If this topic concerns you then we'll move onto the next one. The one both of you skipped?" She looked between the two men. "Any family life you'd like to talk about Alti..." She noticed the glance the salt pillar gave Amil, "... or Cyrus?" Alti took his eyes off the sobbing decoration's bleeding thigh and brought his attention back to his partner as the other man continued his own personal tirade against the housewife, taken aback a bit by the sudden shift in intensity of his soulmate's delivery. He gave an almost-nervous nod in agreeance to his stand before turning back to the counselor to answer her next question. " Family life....." he muttered, not sure about what exactly to say to her as a response. The last time he revealed any major clues about his upbringing, he got into a fight -- the same one he just said he wouldn't repeat not too long ago, and now he'd have to spill the beans to his opponent's mother, of all people? You've got to be kidding me... he thought, twiddling his thumbs as he returned her gaze. At least, just by looking at her a few times, he was assured that whatever her reaction would turn out to be, it wouldn't end in a successful scuffle, but he still uncharacteristically chewed on his words, just to be safe. His expression twisted up a bit as he listened to the man on his other side gush his feelings out like a broken faucet, having some experience dealing with the kind of people he spoke of, but not as personally. Once Amil finished talking, Alti scrambled about in his own thoughts as he tried to piece together some semblance of an answer to Albany after being so distracted by the other skimpily dressed man's contribution. "I, uhh...." he drawled, occasionally glancing upwards as if he could find the tamer words he was looking for on the ceiling or something, ".. grew up in a very... dark, rocky.. forest and- oh, who am I fucking kidding!" he snapped, yelling at himself internally for even thinking that shameful display was even close to being a good idea. "I grew up in the Underworld, I raised my goddamn self, and my 'family' consisted of demons, alright? I jumped between dimensions every now and then and caused trouble in both because I thought it was fun. Saw some shitty things and met some shitty people, but that's all behind me for the most part-- PHEW!" Alti let out a heavy sigh of relief before scooting further into his chair, completely pleased with the truths he let out, as ridiculous as they sounded. "That's a load off my mind!" he admitted, looking back up at the woman's face and kicking his legs back and forth, "Really, that's all you need to know. I didn't really have what you'd call a 'normal' life. Still don't, but that's OK. I mean, just look at what a 'normal' life did to him! Think I want that? Nooooooo, ma'am!" he said, pointing his thumb over at Amil, not even caring to dwell on the words he spoke. "Speaking of which, I wouldn't worry too much about your little sex toy down there," he said rather flatly, gesturing lightly at the fallen body in the room, "He'll never change. They almost never do."

Alraada looked back over at Albany, her eyes widening slightly, before her expression softened into a smile. "Th-Thank you, Miss Vinaigrette." She said with a nod. No one seemed to outwardly hate her yet... It was wonderful. She looked back over at vale. "I think that would be best, yes. We should probably communicate a little better, shouldn't we?" She inquired with a light laugh. She turned back over to the rest of the test subjects, listening for their answers, hoping to help her friends. Friends...that was a nice word. ------------ Galystris nodded. "No, I don't. I had an authority figure in my life, so I never needed them. They never needed me either, as they already had a child. Unless a relationship like that is mutually beneficial, it is useless." She spoke plainly. It surprised her only briefly how little she seemed to care for what many considered the necessities of life. What fools they were for getting hung up on arbitrary relationships. (( cassiroll))

"Speaking of which, I wouldn't worry too much about your little sex toy down there," he said rather flatly, gesturing lightly at the fallen body in the room, "He'll never change. They almost never do." His partner's rapidfire declaration of his past left Cyrus with a conflicting mixture of thoughts and an icy pit in his stomach, the scientist feeling as though something big was missing from that summary. 'That's it?' he mumbled to himself. Alti's previous talk of people he enjoyed watching suffer, and how he just apparently ended up in a dimension that he would've sworn up and down didn't exist 3 weeks ago. Someone doesn't just end up with mythological fucking beasts out of sheer coincidence... But regardless of the bizarre and most likely horrifying details, he did find kinship with 'I raised goddamn self'. He wasn't about to press further after their argument, secretly hoping that he could satisfy his curiosity later on his own time. The scientist frankly didn't even see the point of this public airing of grievances with the other contestants, especially the ones he didn't care for. What did it really matter? "Well it looks like I'm not the only one that was raised by raving, religious maniacs," he replied tersely, an unreadable mix of emotions on his face. "Grew up in a religious cult in the middle of fuck-all nowhere. One of those gated community types." He pursed his lips uneasily, trying to hide the waver in his voice by adapting a more matter-of-fact tone. "The old man was always heavy-handed. Smack around the wives, the children, and sometimes they'd hit back at their own risk. It was all... relatively tolerable back then I guess. The family was pretty wealthy, what with the old man being a leading community member and all. But it was just too bad such an esteemed religious leader's son was gay," he scoffed dryly and glanced to the side. {Spoiler - Click to View}
((warning: homophobia and domestic violence))
"It got way less 'tolerable' after he and the community learned about that. I was 14, and you'd have thought I was the devil himself by the way he treated me. And with a healing super of a mother who was willing to cover his ass, he got away with it. She'd fix aaaall the broken toys before anyone could find out that they were ever broken in the first place." A bitter chuckle fell from his lips as a half-hearted attempt to diffuse the tension he felt bubbling in his gut. The scientist then pushed his hair out of his face, his eyes that had been trained on the ground now raising to glance at the nosy therapist. "After a particularly... bad incident when I was 17, I took off running and was able to emancipate myself. Lived in a shitty boys' home for a year before getting kicked out at 18 and living somewhere between friends' couches and the nearest homeless shelter." There was a small tinge of pride to his voice once he'd gotten past the uncomfortable family topic. He'd assumed an air of just look at me now. "I went through bowels of fucking hell to escape that," he mumbled. "And I'm never going back."

But it was just too bad such an esteemed religious leader's son was gayGalystris dropped her book on the table, the thump of the material against the table shook the glasses and silverware in her vicinity. She picked it back up and dog-ear folded the page she was on and placed it in her lap. She didn't know what she was feeling. It was something that was obliterated years ago, something she couldn't even bring herself to feel for her own soulmate. Sympathy. The fact that she only felt sympathy for someone that had received an experience similar to hers showed how self-absorbed she was, and she knew it. She was honestly disgusted with herself. But she was more disgusted with how Cyrus described his family situation. "I'm sorry you had to deal with that." She spoke, bowing her head lightly. She almost expected to be laughed at or yelled at by Aberdeen for her condolences toward the person who happened to remind her quite a bit of herself, but she didn't care. She silenced herself, folding her ever-so-slightly shaky hands in her lap. She stared down at her hands blankly, yet her expression indicated she was knocked off the steady grounds that was her persona. In this state, she could never bring herself to look any of these people in the eye.

"I went through bowels of fucking hell to escape that," he mumbled. "And I'm never going back." Amil smirked at Alti's comment and waved his hand in the man's direction. "Well, so long as that almost is a factor, there's no harm in trying." He chuckled, dryly. His smirk dropped into a shocked and sympathetic frown as he listened to the scientist's upbringing, listening intently. He furrowed his brow in disgust at the atrocity and looked over towards the therapist. Small world. " So, Albany." He spoke up again. "What's the solution to that? Do we talk it out with our parents? Try to understand their viewpoint? A viewpoint so rooted in hatred that someone's own father would resort to that level of violence? As though beating the ever-loving hell out of him could alter something he can't control? A viewpoint so rooted in hatred that a man would rather disown and kill his own son rather than be related to 'one of those?' "His voice began to raise, wavering with every new word escaping his mouth before breathing out and locking eyes with the woman. "How the hell do you fix something like that?" His eyes a mixture of pain and anger as he looked to the therapist for answers, a small part of him hoping she'd actually have the answers but knowing that was too much to hope for.
Aberdeen's trail of smoke turned a green vibrant enough to match Vale's jumpsuit as Cyrus' story seemed to silence the room. The clutched at their gut and almost left their chair to puke in the bathroom, but kept themself together the best they could. The story hit a bit too close to home for the fighter, although their experience having more so to do with gender than with sexuality. They rubbed the back of their neck, not exactly sure if there was anything to say in a situation like this. "Oh jeez..." They muttered, more to themself than anyone else. "Uh....I'm sorry you had to go through that, man... That's..... wow..."

Maicy and Piami looked down after hearing Cyrus's story. They both feel terrible.
Maicy began to feel very guilty, in a sense that her home life, despite its stupid moments, was all fine compared to everyone else's lives. "I'm...sorry you have to go through that, Cyrus." Maicy uttered, with sadness in her voice becoming very apparent.
Piami felt that his story was close to home, though her home life doesn't seem nearly as violent as what Cyrus had to go through. Plus, parents making a big deal about their children's sexuality, especially when they are turning it into something bad, is an absolute odd and unhealthy concept to her. "I'm sorry as well..." Piami spoken up. "I don't think a parent, or anybody for that matter, should turn someone who is gay or anything else they go by as awful as possible. What you gone through is not right..." "Well, so long as that almost is a factor, there's no harm in trying." He chuckled, dryly. Alti sneered at the other under-dressed fellow's almost pitiful response and icy laughter in regards to the drunken idiot fallen before them, childishly tapping the side of his boot against Nace's leg a few times as he stared at Amil in humorous disbelief. "Well, good luck to you then," he chuckled lowly as he cracked his knuckles, "Just let me know when you get tired of wasting time and I'll take care of him for you~" "Well it looks like I'm not the only one that was raised by raving, religious maniacs," he replied tersely, an unreadable mix of emotions on his face. There was a small tinge of pride to his voice once he'd gotten past the uncomfortable family topic. He'd assumed an air of just look at me now. "I went through bowels of fucking hell to escape that," he mumbled. "And I'm never going back." It didn't take very long for his smile to fade just as Amil's did once a few triggering keywords brought his attention to his soulmate's rather distressing narrative. Alti stared in stunned shock at the scientist's coming-of-age story, a whole slew of emotions just sloshing around in his gut after hearing how the atheistic snarker came to be the man he is today, an account that probably shouldn't have surprised him as much as it did. It definitely explained some of the more questionable --well, questionable to him-- actions that Cyrus had demonstrated over the last two weeks. His aversion to violence, his mental breakdown on day one, his disdain toward religious beliefs and themes, everything. But even though he had his answers, he still wasn't sure how to feel about all of this new information. His gaze trailed back down to its place on the ground, bitterly grimacing as he reluctantly tried to walk himself through his confusion. So, he was one of them.... he thought, They tried to brainwash him.. -- that, he registered as disgust-- and... they punished him... --that, pity-- But.. h-he got out! And... changed.. -- pride? Perhaps. He recalled some of their more recent exchanges concerning the supernatural, his expression softening just a tad. Judging by those conversations, he didn't seem to be like them anymore --in fact, it'd seem as if just spending time together was slowly gearing the man closer to realizing the true nature of the 'mythological'--, and that fact alone pleased him immensely. The varying expressions of pity erupting from the other contestants' mouths snapped Alti out of his daze, the man looking around from face to face, embarrassed. Oh, fuck. Was he supposed to say something? Everyone else seemed to know just what to say in such an uncomfortable moment, and while he wasn't sure if his partner even wanted any of the attention his heart-wrenching story was earning him, he still felt as though doing nothing would appear insensitive to his soulmate's past woes. Slowly, he looked over at the uneasy-looking engineer and reached towards him, hesitating a bit before wordlessly grabbing the other man's hand and giving it a light squeeze. It felt... appropriate.

"Oh, um..." Albany fiddled with her pen, unsure if this was a truthful response or if Alti was messing with her, but based on Cyrus's body language, it was probably real. Shockingly enough. "T-Thank you for sharing Alti," She didn't have much more time to respond to this tall tale before the scientist had already taken off on his own unfortunate beginnings. Vale shivered a bit, a cold sweat breaking out on his brow. His own father wasn't peaches and cream, but at least he had been supportive of Vale's horrible love choices in the past. And in his own odd way had been proud of him. His home life hadn't been perfect, but that was....rough. "Fuck fathers," He muttered, more to himself than at Cyrus. Albany looked around at the other participants, a tug at her heart as she noticed how deeply so many members seemed to be affected by the man's story. In some ways, perhaps the group had gotten a bit closer from their mostly shared issues with parental figures and.... interesting childhoods. They might see a little more from the other's perspective in the future. She was about to thank Cyrus for sharing, but chose to address Amil, as he was the only one who had directly confronted her on the matter. "In Cyrus's case, I would advice against a meet up with parents," She spoke softly, as though trying to suppress the emotion leaking into her voice to keep up her professional facade. "I like to have faith that people can change, as you do for your partner, but..." Her eyes flickered over to him, "....at the same time, that is not anyone's responsibility. Self care comes first. Helping others comes second. It is not Cyrus's job to reconcile with his parents and it is not anyone here's job to 'fix' their partner. But if being with each other makes you better...makes you happy...then a little pain and discomfort can be worth it in the end." She took a deep breath, her eyes cast to the ground. "There are problems with no solution. Occasionally, the solution is just to let go. Not necessarily to forgive, but to allow that burden to lift off your shoulders. Your past does not have to define you, but the actions you take despite that past do. Become stronger by choosing to continue. By being able to look back on the past and stomach the unfortunate events that have occurred to all of you." She looked back up. "I'm sorry to end on such a somber tone, but that's all the time we have for today. That you for being so honest; all of you. Some of you really needed to have this talk. But please, don't end the conversation here. If you have anything you'd like to continue with in private...now is the time. While hearts are open and ears are listening. Talk to your partners before you go to sleep and ask yourself this final question: "What else does my partner deserve to know?" And with that Albany closed her notebook shut. "It's been a pleasure getting to know you all," She smiled warm and genuinely at everyone, "Thank you for sharing."

Aberdeen sat in their chair as they thought over Albany's final question, knowing they'd have to come clean to Maicy eventually about everything that had gone on in their life. Their childhood, their profession, the first date... Aberdeen stood up from their chair and exhaled deeply, their head glowing green. Before they could say anything, however, their phone buzzed and the fighter froze.
Aberdeen slowly removed the cellphone from their pocket and unlocked it. Surely enough, it was an email. From their mother. The fighter rushed away from the circle and towards the bathroom, slamming the door shut behind them and locking themself in one of the open stalls before vomiting into the toilet. Their body shook nervously as they sat on the porcelain and opened the email.
'Hey Abbey.. Your father hasn't been answering his phone. In fact, his phone doesn't seem to be on. I just wanted to know what's going on. I'm sure you two are busy, so I didn't want to be a bother. I'm probably just being a worry wart, right?'
Aberdeen cringed at the name and gripped the phone tighter in their hands, using whatever remaining willpower they had left to keep themself from breaking it. The fighter shakily began to respond. They couldn't keep this hidden from their mother any longer. They had to come clean. They had to let her know what happened, they couldn't just continue pretending that Heavy wasn't dead....right?
Wrong.
'Hey mom... I've been trying to think of a way to tell you this all week, but... I guess the best way would be to just come out and say it. Dad...died in a car accident... He was taking an Uber back to the hotel and.... It was a head on collision, both cars' engines exploding on impact. There....wasn't much left of him when the paramedics finally managed to remove him from the wreckage... I'm sorry you had to find out this way... I love you..'
They hit send and sat in the bathroom, in case they needed to vomit again.
Amil scowled at Albany's answer and final question, not satisfied with the response she'd given. Not that she was wrong. Surely there was no fixing the problems that seemed to plague the group, and no amount of therapy would make them hurt any less. He stood up from his chair and glared at the woman a bit longer before giving her a half-hearted smile.
"Well, it sure HAS been a pleasure." He clasped his hands together, his voice clearly giving away that he was still agitated beyond belief. He looked down at his partner and chuckled lightly. "But I'm definitely ending the conversation here~! Given I was the only one in it!" He spoke, dryly as he motioned to his partner's collapsed body. He glanced over at Vale, a smile washing across his face as he did so.
"I'll follow your advice, though. I'll be sure to let go next time. Remove this burden from my shoulders~!" He chimed as he turned back to the wrestler's mother. "Thank you for the words of wisdom." He smiled. "Oh, and before I leave.... Alraada." He turned the the wheelchair-bound girl in question, a sympathetic grin donning his face. "Can I speak to you privately for a moment? I have something very important to discuss with you, and I'd prefer to keep it between us." He spoke smoothly as he waited for the girl's response.

As Albany left due to time restraints, Maicy and Piami both began to think. Despite the crazy deminer during the beginning, Albany seemed like their type of therapist. Understanding how you feel.
Maicy did had to think about it. She has revealed a lot during the whole session. From her childhood, to middle school, to her time at the company. Still, there are some minor details she had yet to tell Aberdeen. One of which she is also not proud of. Granted, almost screwing up everything in the world is a hell of a lot worse but this is one thing Maicy is also not proud of. Another thing she may have to reveal to her soulmate is why she wears her long skirts, long dresses, and anything that is modest-wear. Sure, there's the obvious reason that Maicy is just modest but.... there is a bit of a deeper reason there.. Maicy sees Aberdeen rushed over to the bathroom. Immdediatly, Maicy got worried. She got up and walked over to check on them. She slowly opened the door of the bathroom. "A-Aberdeen?" Maicy stutterd, with worry in her voice being present "Are you okay?"
There's few more things that Piami would want to reveal but she may have to save it for when she is talking with Galystris. What is the current state of her mother at the moment. ....And how.... harsh her mother's boyfriend was.... to put it lightly.... when it came to Piami's condition at the time. ((( Warning: Ableism))) {Piami's Home Life Around Middle School} With the exception of Tensai, it feels that any guy figure in her life seemed to always not care for Piami. However, Piami is curious about the with with Galy. She wants to know more on why she was cold with Maicy so maybe Piami will have a better understanding. "Galy." Piami spoken up "If there's anything you wanna talk about, I'll be willing to listen."

Alraada gave an okay to Amil's request, and shortly afterwards, Elenara and Tyreithillis told them that they were heading back to the hotel, and that they did. They went to the hotel. Yeah. For the most part, people went to their hotel rooms, or said goodbyes to Albany. This is a good time for soulmates to talk things out.

Maicy sees Aberdeen rushed over to the bathroom. Immdediatly, Maicy got worried. She got up and walked over to check on them. She slowly opened the door of the bathroom. "A-Aberdeen?" Maicy stutterd, with worry in her voice being present "Are you okay?" "I-I'm fine!" They lied. "I-It must have b-been something I ate!" They chuckled nervously. They slowly exited the stall, sliding their phone into their pocket. "I just need to...lie down.. heheh..." With that, Maicy and Aberdeen returned t their room upon the instructions of the scientists. Aberdeen made a B-Line to the bathroom and locked themself inside, sitting next to the toilet in case they needed to vomit again.
Upon Alraada accepting Amil's request, the two made their way to his room, leaving Nace behind while the red head continued to sleep on the floor. Amil checked outside to ensure he wasn't followed by the woman's soulmate, and when he confirmed Vale was nowhere in sight, he shut the door and turned to Alraada. He began to rub his hands together as he prepared himself for what he was about to tell her. "So.... while Vale was the one who hit you with the fountain, I am still definitely to blame for what had happened. It shouldn't have been you who took the hit... But! I-I can fix it for you!" He spoke shakily. "See...these gloves.. they're uh... they're amalgamates." Several yellow eyeballs opened on the palms of his hands as he mentioned their names, the eyes fixated on their owner. "I work for....a, uh... a demon. And with these gloves, I can fix all of your wounds! You'll be able to walk around again! For.... a price. See, the deals I make cost pieces of...your soul, but not in the way you think!" He stammered out. "The most you'd have to give me to fix your wounds is a year of your time. This means when you die, your soul will spend an extra year in limbo. Now, that may SEEM like a long time, but when you have an eternity to look forward to, it will fly by in an instant!" He snapped his fingers for emphasis, before lowering his head in shame. "I hate seeing you like this.... it's my fault, and I want to do what I can to fix it. Any wounds you have, I can fix! All you have to do is shake my hand and allow my amalgamates to do the work. So..." Amil held his hand out to the green haired girl. " Do we have a deal?"

Maicy could tell Aberdeen does not sound okay. She want to ask if they are actually okay. That is, until, the scientiest say it's time to go back to the hotel rooms. Maicy sat on her bed and looked at the door of the bathroom her soulmate locked themself in. She received a text message. It's spam mail, however. She deleted it afterwards. She has yet to see some text messages from her parents. Might makes sense. She did hear from her mother that they would have a over-hall of work around this time of year. Maicy got up from her bed and walked over to the bathroom Aberdeen is in. "H-Hey Aberdeen." Maicy stuttered, looked down but look back up "Is... there anything you need..? I-I know that you said you're okay and just need to rest.. but...." Maicy looked down, feeling unsure. It's best to be open, right. "I'm sorry... I'm just worried about you. That's all..."

Cyrus felt his face heat up as the words of pity flew across the room, the man getting somewhat flustered as the response turned out to be different than he expected. It had been over a decade since anyone besides his late fiance had been informed about this, guess it's been so long I didn't know how to gauge. But despite his bewilderment, he was surprised by just how shared everyone's experience was in this department. It really is a small world. It would've almost been pleasant surprise at the shared experience and momentary sense of closeness, if it weren't for the strong pang of disgust still sitting firmly in his gut. But he wasn't about to be remembered as the abused, pitiable little boy of the group. No fucking way. "N-No no I'm alright now." Damn that stutter. "11 years outta that shit hole and I'm never going back. At least I can say my life is all my own. I'm doing pretty damn well I think, yeah? And earned it all by myself." That last part wasn't entirely true. A warm squeeze to his hand took him by surprise in his flustered state, but those heightened nerves began to relax as he looked back at his partner, sighing and reciprocating the squeeze with one of his own. He was mentally exhausted at this point. "It's been a pleasure getting to know you all," She smiled warm and genuinely at everyone, "Thank you for sharing." Cyrus turned to listen to the final back and forth between Amil and Albany before their session was closed, sighing and turning to Alti, still not having let go of his hand. He'd been done with this whole thing the moment they walked into the baby Vale-themed room and was ready to run out the door hours ago. "Hey, can you get us outta here?"

Alraada's eyes widened. So, Amil could fix everything...? Aside from the shock of finding out his alignment with demons. She shook off the fear that was building within her. "Does it have to be physical things...?" she asked, unsurely. She moved her eyes up to Amil, unable to stop the desperate look from crossing her features. "I-I mean, by any chance...could you maybe....fix an aura...or....something like that...?" she inquired. ----------------------------------------------------------- "Galy." Piami spoken up "If there's anything you wanna talk about, I'll be willing to listen." Galystris was shocked at her sudden considerate words. She looked back down to her soulmate, as if she were speaking a foreign language. "I'd do the same. Just don't expect me to go easy on you and console you with simple apologies and blind words of 'it's going to be fine.' " she spoke plainly, although with a hint of remorse building up in her words. *timeskip to hotel*((no, they didn't fuck,TREVOR AND LADY)) Galystris sat down on her bed, letting out a heavy sigh, nervousness creeping into her general demeanor. "Piami, is there anyhting you need help with?" she inquired, rather quietly. She held her hands together tightly. "Just promise to not be offended."
