Avril clapped along with Acoou, matching his enthusiasm. He stood as long and straight as he could, stretch to attempt to make himself taller before slinking back down and pulling his hands apart, his meager efforts proving to be fruitless compared to the tall elf. His height was always a bit of a concern of his, though not one so severe that it could be easily picked up.
When Acoou mentioned only his father, the Barometz' face turned to one of confusion. His own family back home was quite large, so the thought of a unit consisting of only two people was quite foreign to him. "You father? That's your parent if they are male, right?" Avril decided to skip over the subject of Acoou's small family as it could have been a sour topic.
Avril spotted the unmistakable feathered features of Wander among the crowd, and upon seeing him with Sandy his cheeks bubbled up in frustration, though only for a moment before the Barometz spun around towards the group. He gave a small bounce, cupped his hands and called out to his friend. "Heeeeeeey! Wander Wander! I'm over here!"
Even if Wander didn't leave the princess to come and see him, at the very least Avril managed to annoy her.

"Oh, I am?" Wander raised an eyebrow in question, before exchanging a bow as his body tilted forward as to express his guilt, "I apologize," he murmured before rising back to look the girl back in the eye. Her wild locks struck him as familiar, before he ultimately glided around her to inspect her from all angles. "I can't help but notice, but were you in any hydrokinesis classes?" His eyebrows drew together, before bringing a hand up to his chin as he pondered her features for a moment, "Oh! Are you..." his voice trailed off momentarily, "San...dra? Did I get it right? I think you were in one of my classes," with that, his hand now dropped to his chest, "I'm Wander." While speaking, his eyes strayed to the girl beside her, flashing a smile and a wave as he did so. "I'd like to know your name as well." Evaley grinned broadly, her feathers flapping a bit when she realized she was being spoken to. "Evaley is fine for me! I specialize in a couple less common things, it's not surprising we haven't seen each other!" She got up from her seat on the fountain and went behind Wander, examining his wings. "Oh! These are quite lovely. Do you use them to fly, or glide? Or something else perhaps? I don't mean to assume!" She chittered noisily, her curiosity getting the better of her. She got up so close her nose was almost touching the others wings. "Woooow! These really are beautiful. Sandra, take a look at these!" She waved over to her with a happy giggle. "Aren't they fantastic?!" (( MonkeyandMooseInc))

"Ah," Acoou's face lit up, he wasn't completely aware of how everyone other race worked, but his father saved him from being hungry on the streets. In his eyes any opportunity to speak of the man was a welcome one. "yeah, i..." Almost as soon as the light came to his face, it was gone. Attention was redirected to a newcomer. Exhaling Acoou stepped back, crouching to the ground. At least soon he would see the old man again.

Wander quirked his head to the side at her sudden demeanor, but nonetheless returned a smile back in her direction. "Well, then we just have to become friends. There is no reason as to not be; at least I can't think of one."
The Floocala beside him marveled and her eyes shimmered as she gazed at his feathery appendages. She was much more excitable than her companion, and hadn't appeared as shy in the slightest. He grinned widely, "Thank you! They're for flying." as he spoke, his extended his wings to show them in their entirety. A slight red came onto his cheeks at her genuine display of fascination, "What about your own, if I may ask?" The girl had practically stuck the tip of her nose to them at this point, but by Wander's expression it appeared as if he wasn't bothered in the slightest.
The wings that had been folded upon Wander's head outstretched, as though registering something. His eyes widened as he recognized the voice, before waving one arm toward the Barometz, "Hello Avril! Have you met Evaley-" his head motioned to the Floocala, shooting her a smile as he did so,"-or Sandra yet?" It would seem he had already began latching onto the nickname, as he used it a second time without thought.

"Aren't they fantastic?!" Sandraudiga turned back to face their friend, who was now visibly gawking over the other fellow who seemed to have the same issue Avril did. "Yeah, they're okay." She muttered, visibly pouting like a spoiled child. "I can think of a reason not to be friends. You keep calling me Sandra. It's Sandraudiga. It's not THAT hard to say." The ifrit rolled her eyes, utterly irritated with the whole situation at hand. While she wasn't clear why Wander said her name again, as she wasn't paying attention, his words clicked and she realized the barometz was this....student's friend. A scowl was quickly painted on Sandraudiga's face. "Oh. The goat boy is your friend, huh? Figures." She spat, beginning to grind her teeth as the cinders at the tips of her hair reignited. "I'm not on speaking terms with that boy, and if you continue to call me Sandra without even trying to get to know me, you will get the same treatment." She hissed at the angel-like boy before turning away from the entire group.

Bass didnt gave too much attention on his surrundings. He could hear Sandr-something fighting with that Wander guy... Wasnt that guy in one of his classes? Whatever. The crab girl caught his attention. " Helloooo~! I am Bass!!!!" He said jumping back and forth He remembered seeing her kind once when he visited the beach. What were they called again? " Are you excited about the exams Ashinia? " He asked the girl

Wander watched as the girl's disposition elevated before she scornfully turned her back on the rest of them. The wings atop his head folded once more, but drooped this time around. He wasn't one to pick up on others' irritation easily, and sometimes just wasn't aware of when perhaps he had pried too far. As the girl remained turned, his eyes widened slightly at the display of flames overtaking the ends of her hair. Was she a pyromancer...? Her dress had a fiery flare to it, but perhaps he presume it was just for show.
"How wonderful...!" His voice gasped upon seeing the glow of their embers. Such a power had reminded him of another, and his fascination once again took over. Taking one step forward, he spoke "Sandraudiga," a pause, "I'm sorry. I thought using your nickname would make us closer, but it seems to have done the opposite." For a moment, his gaze shifted back to Avril, offering a smile behind him as he did so, "And yes, I'm friends with Avril. I think he's nice."

Sandraudiga's cinders died down slightly as she heard the student finally get her name right. She turned back to face him as he apologized, to which she gave a warm-hearted smile. To see that he made an effort to correct his mistake made the girl incredibly happy. "It's okay" She giggled "Truth be told, I'm not very keen on strangers calling me Sandra for personal reasons... but I'm sure at some point we could possibly be friends.." She chimed That's when the boy mentioned the barometz, again, to which her smile turned into a scorn once more. "See, I disagree. That boy made the same mistake you had, in which he continually called me 'Sandy' even after I expressed my distaste." She spat "The boy did this to simply spite me, so I would whole heartedly disagreed that he is 'nice.' Nice people stop doing irritating things when they're told." She turned her nose up to them.

Avril took Acoou's posture as a signal that he was distancing himself from the conversation. With a stretch of his legs, the Barometz then wandered over towards his winged friend, just in time to hear the end of Sandy's speech.
"In time you'll see the name fits you," Avril interrupted, taking his place next to Wander. The Barometz shot his friend a smile and then turned to Evaley to flash her one as well. The fact that there were so many... airborne students here did serve to make Avril uncomfortable, but perhaps they were different, like Wander.

Wander's top wings unfolded upon seeing the girl's embers die down, only for a soft smile to take her once fiery disposition's place. It even appeared as though her spirits lifted momentarily... ...Only for her scowl to return once more. How disappointing. Avril had pranced over to next to Wander's side, and the alatus greeted the boy with a small wave. Sandraudiga proved to have a short fuse; though that didn't necessarily hinder his persistence. However, his companion seemed to have put it to the test earlier. If only he had been present earlier, perhaps he could have had the two got along. If only! He thought, albeit a little bit idealistic in theory. "Sandy, huh?" He raised an eyebrow in question, "If you don't like it, I won't call you by it but... I think it's cute," he smiled. "Sandraudiga is just as nice though. You should go back to smiling, you are prettier when you do so!" a chuckle escaped him, "I think Avril would agree as well!" While he appeared pleased with the suggestion, he may have admittedly been assuming too much with Avril's feelings on the matter. Perhaps one could be kind to a fault.

"What about your own, if I may ask?" The girl had practically stuck the tip of her nose to them at this point, but by Wander's expression it appeared as if he wasn't bothered in the slightest. "Just for gliding," She said, shaking them a bit. "Perhaps if I'd learned to handle wind magic, I could've developed some form of flight, but it really didn't interest me." She giggled a bit, but noticed the conversation had been redirected and shyly shuffled her feet as Sandra complained more about fellow students. Evaley noticed another face entering the group and smiled automatically towards them when they smiled first. So this is the one that was getting on Sandra's nerves. She could see how they might not get along. He seemed persistent in upholding the nickname he'd given her, and two stubborn personalities certainly wouldn't mix well when it came to Sandra. Evaley grinned fondly at Wander, disappointed she hadn't become friends with him sooner. He was a delight in terms of personality; she appreciated his efforts towards a peaceful conclusion.

She said sternly to both Avril and Wander. "I don't care if you think it's cute, I don't care if you like the name, your opinions on the name 'Sandy' don't matter to me." The cinders on the top of her head began consuming more and more of her hair as she continued talking. "I'm pretty either way, whether I smile or don't. And for you to insinuate I'm ugly when I don't smile is rather rude," She snapped before turning to the Barometz, hate in her eyes. "There will be no 'time' when that name fits me, you filthy goat child!!" She hissed, her eyes beginning to glow a bright orange instead of their natural green color. "If you're so dull that you can't get my bloody name right, perhaps you shouldn't be saying it at all!!" She was now shouting at Avril, her hair beginning to stand on its ends and flowing to and fro. "That name makes me SICK! As does your presence!! So shut the hell up, or I'll burn you alive!!"

Evaley quickly walked away from Wander, stepping between Avril and Sandra quietly so she'd be in the way of any conflict that might break out. She turned to Sandra with a smile in place, although worry was in her eyes. "Come on, Sandra. Let's go some place else." She rotated her hips so she was fully facing the ifret now. "It's better to just ignore it for now, wouldn't you say? You'll have plenty of time to prove yourself during the exam." She glanced back over to Avril. "And as for you. You really should respect someone's choice in name. Please. If you couldn't tell already, it's upsetting her."

Avril raised both of his hands and took a hooved step back, his expression one of shock. He watched wide eyed as the half ifrit ranted on, her friend quickly jumping in between her and him in an attempt to keep her at bay. Bland and boring. Definitely not the type of person that Avril was interested in. So far, her only personality traits were being Princess Sandy's keeper and being airborne, and the barometz was fond of neither of those traits. Worst of all, she was in the way of him having his fun, and he couldn't have that. Avril looked Sandy dead in the eye. With his hands still raised, he took a half step forward, his lips starting to curl. "I wouldn't do that, unless you want to get expelled... Sandy. Just looking out for you is all." He would have his fun, even if the other party was making it difficult.
