"No one knows the purpose. It goes against nature's order - kind of like magic its self, I guess." "They draw in excess energy from their surroundings and then release it in a form which is beneficial to the plants. Some think they were created by wizards, or that maybe they were meant to be homes for things like pixies. It's kind of like a desert oasis." Enoch listened intently as he continued to observe the tree, his face lighting up as he completed his circle back around to Daryn and Mimisko. He flashed the two of them an excited smile before looking back up at Pinky. After all of the fresh horrors that they'd just seen, coming across something unfamiliar that wasn't deadly or awful was refreshing, to say the least. This sort of natural wonder was what made him love traveling as much as he did. "In all my travels I've never seen something like this before. I wish I could study it further..." He sighed a little bit upon the realization they were only getting a small respite from battling as usual. Time was not a luxury that they currently possessed. "Perhaps after this is all over, if that's alright," he finished, somewhat wistfully. His attention turned towards the empty armor shell. "And how does Alroth tie into all of this?"

"They're quite rare." Pinky shrugged. "And how does Alroth tie into all of this?" "Alroth is a lethlglyneros tree." the tiny being explained. Pinky looked over to her suit of armor and focused on the tree within. Alroth turned toward the others and raised one hand. With the other hand, the suit pulled off one of its padded gloves to reveal the entwined tree branches that were twisted into the shape of a human hand. "They're very receptive of magic, so I can communicate really easily with him." Alroth held up his bare hand and began to wave it back and forth. Pinky then turned to the end of the branch on which she stood and focused there instead. She aimed her hand toward the tree's branching limb and with another spell the ends of the branches curled together into a hand that mirrored Alroth's and promptly began waving back. "Lethlglyneros are easily manipulated by nature magic, so they're valuable to druids and the like." she said.

Daryn gasped at the sight of Alroth's 'hand', and laughed to herself quietly in amusement as he waved back and forth. It seemed all too cool yet hilarious, and she couldn't pinpoint why. "That's pretty awesome. Kinda feels like the tree can actually think or something!"

Enoch gasped simultaneously when Daryn did, widening his eyes and walking over to get a closer look as Alroth waved his hand. "This is fantastic," he murmured, lightly touching the hand made of twisted branches and observing how it moved. "So Alroth's a tree, huh? No wonder he's so strong," he commented, stepping back, looking back towards the branch Pinky was perched on. "I suppose that explains why Alroth of 'Atralock' stays so secretive as well," he chuckled, thinking back to their first encounter at the church.

Pinky sighed, recalling how quickly her facade had fallen. Maybe she'd fit in better now if everyone still thought she was a human. "This world isn't meant for pixies." she said, looking away. Both trees stopped waving - the garden tree's branch returning to its natural shape.

You and Alroth are great in battle! You know what, I don't care if it's magic. You know what you're doing and I appreciate that." Daryn said, hands planted firmly on her hips in defiance of Pinky's suddenly dimmer attitude.

Pinky sighed, recalling how quickly her facade had fallen. Maybe she'd fit in better now if everyone still thought she was a human. "This world isn't meant for pixies." Enoch faltered for a moment. It was true. They hadn't ever spoken to the pixie outside of battle -- this was the first real conversation he'd had with her in the past couple of weeks the guild had been together. He didn't know anything about pixies, outside of what he'd read in books and tales, nor had he ever seen one. With such limited knowledge, he wasn't sure what he could say in reply. "That's--" "Oh come on now! You and Alroth are great in battle! You know what, I don't care if it's magic. You know what you're doing and I appreciate that." Daryn said, hands planted firmly on her hips in defiance of Pinky's suddenly dimmer attitude. The priest paused his line of thought, watching the swordswoman immediately move to perk up the situation, the gloominess that had begun to set in lifting slightly. He smiled a little to himself. "I do not... know much about the situation of pixies, or what you've been through. But this world isn't meant for anyone besides the fearen anymore, with how far out of balance it has fallen." "But Daryn's right, you've saved our lives many times." He smirked wryly. "I'm sure you're painfully aware of that. So surely, you would be able to take your skills and do even better things?"

Oxy was confused for most of Zerah's explanation, but managed to get most of it to the best of his abilities. He tried relating it back to himself as best he could for comparison. "Like when I touch people," He booped his nose for emphasis as though this were clearing things up, "my head gets fuzzy." This seemed to be the best relation he could make to the imp. He allowed himself to be grabbed my Zerah, fingering the ooze for a moment and frowning, "Tar?" He said a little accusingly, but seemed to be lost in awe that Zerah could touch him. He hadn't noticed it before in the woods, it hadn't seemed like a big deal at the time, but things were finally starting to click for the toddler and he realized how precious being able to just touch someone was. He wanted to keep running his fingers over the imp's strange limbs but was placed on the floor a few moments later. He picked his cloak back up and snapped the pendant back in place. It took a good minute for the illusion to flicker back into place, but he wasn't aware of this. He beamed back at Zerah and pumped a small first in the air. "Right! Let's do it! Let's be heros!" Zerah's grinned at the excited child. It seemed the imp had gotten back on the small child's good side. Zerah patted the child's head. "Deal! But first, let's head back up stairs! This dungeon is gross, heheh." Zerah chuckled. Zerah began walking back towards the staircase when he noticed Manasa had been watching them, seemingly healed from the head injury she had previously suffered due to the imp's outburst. Zerah looked down at the floor, anxiety getting the best of him, and whispered a soft "I'm sorry, Manasa.." as he passed her by. Zerah looked back up, slightly, and noticed himself passing the torture chamber. The slab inside the room seemed to have stopped glowing, and this intrigued Zerah. He was gonna have to come back and mess around with that slab a bit. Being down inside the dungeon had begun triggering awful memories, and Zerah wanted to get out of the chamber as quickly as possible. The imp ran up the stairs, hopping up two stairs at a time, until he was back in the dining room where he had left the others. It appeared quite a few of them had left the table and went off to explore the castle themselves. Zerah peered outside a window and noticed Enoch, Daryn and Mimisko talking with Alroth near an enormous tree. Zerah scowled at the sight of the armored figure, but decided not to let them get to him. Although, it did appear that Mimisko and Daryn had gotten new outfits, and when Zerah looked back at the dinner table, Celty was wearing a sort of witch's get up. "Fitting" Zerah said under his breath This all gave him an idea, however. Zerah ran through the castle, looking through each room, trying to find one in particular. It only took him a matter of minutes to find what he had been looking for. The king's bedroom. Zerah smiled mischievously at the king's closet, and peered inside. There were plenty of royal garments for the imp to choose from, however most were too large for his small stature. Zerah took out a few articles of clothing he liked the most and tore away at the clothing, making sure they were just the right size for the imp's body. Zerah noticed a mirror in the room and made his way over to see how he looked. He tried to make his face as dull as possible to mimic the king's face {Spoiler - Click to View} "Perfect!" Zerah shouted to himself, quite pleased with his handiwork. Zerah slowly made his way back down to the dining room, stomping around to mimic the stuffy royalty that had once lived amongst these castle walls. Zerah wasn't particularly interested in eating at the moment, and decided he'd make his way out to the garden. He had never thought to explore it when he had been living in this castle. {Second Part of how Zerah knows Rylan}

Zerah's grinned at the excited child. It seemed the imp had gotten back on the small child's good side. Zerah patted the child's head. "Deal! But first, let's head back up stairs! This dungeon is gross, heheh." Zerah chuckled. Oxy nodded and followed close behind, gesturing for Ooro and Manasa to follow. "Or! Mana! Come on!" He shouted excitedly before vanishing up the steps behind them. He had pushed the thoughts of the abandoned nursery aside in favor of focusing on his new friendship. Making his way into the dining hall where some members were still hanging around, he ran up to his mother, looking over her new clothes curiously. "Ma?" Celty lifted her head up from the table suddenly, blinking as though she'd never see light in her life. It seemed she had dozed off like that. "Oh, um, Oxy, did you get enough to eat?" She mumbled, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. Oxy nodded happily, not mentioning the dungeon or the failed game of hide and seek. "That's good. Come here little one. Why don't we go explore a bit?" Oxy made a face at this and shook his head. It seemed he was enjoying his new found freedom. "I'll wait here!" Celty raised an eyebrow. "Are you sure?" "Ye!" Celty sighed and lifted herself from the table, "If that's what you want. Be careful walking around this place. Don't hurt yourself." "I wanna play with Mana!" Celty smiled at him. "Alright, you do that." And with that, she vanished out of the room once more. Oxy watched her leave, his smile lowering a bit once she was out of sight, "Witch," he muttered under his breath. His mother would never have wanted him to walk around unsupervised, that was why the game of hide and seek was so tempting to him. He didn't fret on it though, he had grown used to these drastic shifts, and he was too young to be concerned with what she was wandering off to do. He waited at the top of the stairs for Manasa and Ooro to make their way back.

Zerah excitedly made his way down to the garden, standing in the doorway as he looked around at all the beautiful flowers. Being out in nature was something the imp had grown accustomed to, and seeing such an incredible arrangement a flora in such dreary times really lifted Zerah's spirits. The imp noticed Enoch, Mimisko, Daryn and Alroth talking about something, but Zerah couldn't care less about it. The four already had a poor opinion of Zerah, so he wasn't about to try and win them over. Instead, the tree had really caught Zerah's eye.
"Oh wow, a Lethlglyneros. That's pretty rare, being all the way out here. heheh.." Zerah said, somewhat to himself but still secretly hoping they took notice to his presence.
The imp sat down in a soft patch of grass, in front of a particularly large bunch of flowers. It seemed to be quite the attraction for bees, which Zerah had always had a fascination for. He held out his finger, morphing it into the shape of a rose. Soon enough, a couple of bees landed on the black substance. Zerah smiled as he brought the bees closer to his face, moving slowly as to not scare them off. It was comforting to know that even in times as dark as these, where most of mankind had been wiped out, nature still persisted, along with small inhabitants such as these insects.

The healer sighed. The others had begun heading out, leaving the room rather empty. Watching them abandon the room, his thoughts pounded on his mind heavier than ever. Silently he rose and decided to look for a place to procure more ink, as it was not easily accessible anymore. As he stumbled from room to room his thoughts convulsed around the same words that had been causing so much conflict. Rezza couldn't understand for his life the sentiment behind the dancers words. His eyes began to well up as he attempted to dig into those words. Snarling he blinked his eyes when he noticed the world beginning to blur before him and swiped the heels of his palms at his eyes. At last he opened a door to what appeared to be some sort of office, an ornate desk found itself housed in this room with various stationary and writing utensils resting upon it. Echos of footsteps resonated as he approached it and settled himself into the chair situated before the desk. His eyes and hands set to work searching the desk, and he came up with two bottles of ink. Cautiously Rezza opened one and grabbed a pen from the desk, simply intending to test the ink he dipped it into the thin black liquid and his hand began absentmindedly dancing over a piece of stationary. Looking down at what he had written made his breath falter for a moment before scribbling over it. Lightly his hand clutched at his head. 'The hell...' It made no sense to him. 'People don't just afford others this sort of courtesy.. Things couldn't have changed so much since then, people never change much. Why would society suddenly become so accepting? They have no REASON to be nice...' A loud bang bounced through the room as his hand hit the desk. The chair gave a creak, sliding across the floor as he rose from it; and, shoving the stationary from the surface of the desk, he growled quietly. Rezza drew in a large breath as he resealed the ink, assured it was fine; and placed the bottles, as well as a few of the pens into the bag hanging from his right hip. The conflicted feelings overtaking his mind the healer turned and stomped from the room. He paced the corridor, keeping close to the entrance hall; trying to clear his head, but only getting increasingly agitated. 'Why the hell should they care? Is this how it is, I leave for years and suddenly everyone cares and everyone is nice. Where the fuck did this come from, people suddenly decide to change.'

"This is what I'm good for." Pinky replied, waving toward the tree behind her. "When all of this is over, I'm going back into the forest. It's better that way." she said. Her tone had no signs of strong feelings in either direction. "Alroth was never meant for fighting. I did this to him, and I'm going to fix it as soon as I can."

Ooro watched the scene unfold between Oxy and Zerah as they exchanged words between the wall. She cupped one hand over her mouth as the child began to revert back into his fearen body. While she had spotted it among the trees the previous night- to see the change up close had been rather shocking and even sudden. However, he had appeared so feeble as he lowered his eyes and spoke in hushed tones. The imp managed to heighten the young one's spirits while simultaneously easing him back into his own cloak. Impressive, she thought. Looked like Zerah was more than just a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield. She smiled as Oxy returned to his playful persona, and began her trek back to the main hall.
She followed trailed behind the imp and child as the chattered on, before eventually parting ways. She watched from afar as the child conversed with his mother, but raised an eyebrow upon seeing the woman saunter off in the opposite direction. Unsure of what to do, Ooro decided to approach the toddler once more. "Hello, little one. I'm sorry our game turned sour. I could not help but overhear slightly, but you are wanting to play with Manasa? I do not think she is too far behind... I will wait with you," she crouched down as her lips curled into a toothy grin.

Luair bowed her head, 'I'm sorry.' She only said it to brighten the mood, instead it made it much worse. There she was saying insensitive things and not realising the consequences until much later. 'I did not mean to hurt you, I wanted to-' She stopped, knowing fully well that those sorts of words did little good.
She waddled closer and shortly hugged him for a few moments then let go. She wasn't sure if it was best thing she could do, but she wanted to do something more than apologise.

While staring at the tree in awe, she listened in what Pinky had to say about, responses from Enoch and Daryn.
So..Alroth was not meant for fighting, huh? Mimisko want to say something to re-insuring.
"I'm sure once this mess outside is over and Ignis will be back to normal, Alroth will be back to his original intentions. Am I right guys?"
Mimisko smiled and turned to Enoch and Daryn. She then notice that Zerah is there.
"Oh! I'm sorry! I didn't notice that you were there! Welcome~."
