'I'm Myrri. Nice to meet you.' She said curtly, glancing over at a large reptilian figure. 'Wow, it seems word has gotten around quickly. I can't even imagine where some of these guys are from. Anyways, what sort of lodestone do you use? Or do you not have one? I've always been curious about the other types and have yet to interact with any others.' "Oh! That's right!" Monaiya points to the lodestone on her right arm-band. "The lodestone I use is the type that can help me control the wind to attack, as well a self defense. Guess I got myself in a windy situation." Myrri snorted, tying to surpress her desire to facepalm at the joke. She quickly recomposed herself and moved foreward. 'Do you mind if I have a look?' She asked, motioning to the gauntlet. 'My lodestone just inserts into my weapon and isn't built in.''

The words that leaked from her mouth were shades of orange and yellow he had trouble reading, but mixed within was a flicker of an unmistakable darker brown hue: Deception. Uldrix leaned forward and growled at her deep in the back of his throat. "I do not like you, h u m a n." He hissed, before turning away from her with no explanation and getting closer to Robin in an almost defensive stance. "Eh...?" A genuinely confused look crossed Kyanalurin's face. What the hell is his problem?!
"D-Did I do anything? I didn't mean to be rude...." The girl looked off to the side, a look of fake sadness--albeit a convincing one, crossed her face.

Alanis whirled around with a fury to see Rey on the ground behind her. She wasn't entirely sure what had happened, but it looked like she now had the upper hand. Raising her booted foot, she launched a harsh, flat kick toward Rey's face as if to smash it back into the ground. "Don't talk to me!" she ordered simultaneously. Rey used her forearm to shove Alanis' foot to her side and wrapped both arms around the leg, now actually glaring at the girl out of pure irritation. "Ah'll talk tuh' yuh howeva' ah please!" she growled. "Don't think just becuz' ah'm down means ah'm out! Ah don't need no magicks to kick yo' ass, dat's fo' sho!!!!"

Judging on Pumilus' reaction, it seemed he was acquainted with the one who stated himself as a "glimmer." Their demeanor diminished from earlier however, and they hung their head low as they whispered to themselves. It was a little sad to see them deflate so, and only added to the nervous atmosphere. "Sparrow, do you like music? I know Uldrix is rather fond of it," they slowly outstretched their arm, encouraging the little one to turn the dial as they did so. It wasn't like Robin to willingly hand over their possession, but the "glimmer", hadn't rubbed off as a mischievous fellow. "Maybe you can find a song you like. Just be careful with it," out of curiosity, Robin glanced back to Pumi, "You can too... if you want." However, it occurred to Robin that the munchkin would most likely turn down the offer, being that he was in the middle of a task. ...Still, they wanted to try. Pumilus nodded in Sparrow's direction once again, satisfied with his response. When he was asked to listen to music on Robin's radio, it did not take him long to reach a decision. "No thank you. I must continue to introduce Louis." He said blankly, and turned his head upwards to look at the swordsman. "If you are done here Louis, I will show you to the healer." "Mus...ic?" The Glimmer stepped towards the odd contraption, tilting it forward and cocking his head curiously. He had never heard of such a thing before. "There are bird sounds coming from it! Did you... trap a bird in there?" He then took to pacing around the box nervously, worried about the potential bird trapped within it. Was it hurt? "Can we set the bird free? I think that would be good." When Pumilus suggested Louis move on and meet the next person Sparrow looked up, looking at the swordsman and giving a small wave. "Thank you for saying hello," he said, though he was still quite preoccupied trying to help the supposed trapped bird. Sparrow crouched next to the radio, trying to look through it's grates to find sign of a bird within it. Uldrix's hiss caused the Glimmer to shoot back up to his feet. He shuffled and jingled his pouch, making enough noise so that Uldrix could know where he was. Sparrow looked from Uldrix to Kyana, trying to comprehend what had happened to cause the outburst.

Her foot landed hard on the ground because of her shift in weight, but once it was planted there she kicked haphazardly at Rey with her other foot. The angle was too awkward to land a good hit, but since the dirty girl was wrapped up with Alanis' other leg it would have been difficult to avoid the flurry of weak and uncoordinated kicks being directed toward whatever she could hit.

"D-Did I do anything? I didn't mean to be rude...." The girl looked off to the side, a look of fake sadness--albeit a convincing one, crossed her face. The edges of the girl's speech were still licked with a disgusting mud color, and it set the avenaudi on edge. He was unable to be distracted by things like body language and facial expressions--speech patterns and subtle inflections showed him much more than these ever could. His natural distrust of the vile species didn't do anything to settle his nerves, and he edged closer to Robin, although if it was to protect himself or his new companion it wasn't clear. "I do not think you mean anything." He spat, flicks of orange saliva hitting the ground. He would not speak with her in a civil manor if deceit continued to ring in her tone.

...As expected. Without even a few seconds to ponder the question, Pumilus rejected their offer without a second thought. Robin hadn't even had the breath to sigh, as they just found themselves with their shoulders hung low. Their head grew heavy as it began to slouch while watching the munchkin direct the swordsman elsewhere. It wasn't uncommon at all for androids to fulfill their instructions before anything else, but... still. Maybe they could talk again if he doesn't have a task, somehow.
Robin sat there in silence, as the glimmer circulated around the radio with a both a perplexed expression and one of worry. He's apart of the search party? Had been the only thing to cross their mind upon watching the little one inspect the gadget with wide eyes. "It's fine. That's just the sound coming through; it's pretty old," they affirmed, still just a tad bit sullen. "Birds have their own music, though. They sing songs when they chirp. A robin is a type of bird, actually," their finger pointed to the sparkling one, "So are sparrows."
Their eyes focused on Sparrow, watching them carry on until they overheard a low hiss, followed by Uldrix crouching beside them He was staring directly at Kyana, and intensely as his eyes narrow with his teeth bared. The avenaudi flicked his tongue, thus flinging the brightly colored droplets downward as he glared onwards at the girl. Their eyebrows drew together with puzzlement, not clearly understanding why Uldrix had been forced into defense. Now, Robin knew of the avenaudi's murky history with the human race, yet he seemed willing to join the search party- surely he didn't expect there not to be humans? Robin made the assumption that Uldrix perhaps put the past behind him, but maybe that hadn't been the case afterall.
Or maybe Kyana had boiled over again without them noticing. "What? Did she pop off or something?" they asked, glancing back at the creature. Though upon inquiring, another question had coursed throughout the back of their mind. Just as they were reminded a minute ago, Uldrix didn't see the same way most races did. Did that mean... He can see me?
Out of everyone there, it was most likely for the best that only Uldrix knew just what was hiding, assuming that he did know. If anything, he wouldn't notice anything wrong and act regularly, which was fine. However, if the mask was removed, it might cause confusion in the future. Maybe. They weren't too sure themselves.

Kyanalurin was utterly lost. She hadn't exactly done her reading on the avenaudi, much less one with this sort of power, so she had no clue of his ability to read her emotions by her voice. "Ha...looks like you caught me buddo, I'm totally lost..." she said with a forced smile. "I'll just...I'll just leave you alone..." she backed off a bit, signifying she meant no harm. She internally fumed at the sheer nerve of everyone in this search party, while keeping a slightly scared expression.

Sparrow tried to take all the information in, turning his head side to side as he contemplated everything that Robin had told him. "All the different birds have names... I have the same name as a bird?" His face then lit up, eyes literally sparkling. He wanted to learn all the different names of the birds now, like the ones that walked in the city and the tiny ones that say the little 'dee dee dee' songs. Perhaps one day Robin could teach him. Surely Robin must love birds too, since they also share their name with a bird. "What birds are sparrows? Are they the red ones with pointy heads? Or are they the tiny fluttery ones with the shiny wings?"

He looked at Robin curiously, confused that no one else had similar suspicions. "Why do you all act so calm? Can you not tell?" He inquired. Something seemed to dawn on him and he brought his face close to Robin's mask so only he could hear. "I believe this one...is also wearing a mask."

'Yes, it all went swimmingly.' she lied through her teeth. 'I was thinking that we could, maybe talk?' She pronounced the last word as if it was a foreign phrase. 'Yes, as a proud member to the Society, it is in my duty to impart knowledge about our cause.' Her speech began. Spica strutted from left to right as she spoke, 'The Witches' Society is not congregated into once place, instead serves to connect those from all across the land. We gather at least twice a year, to discuss raised issues and to broaden our ever growing research on lodestones. This is one of the reasons why I was sent here. Yes, witches are truly fantastical. Our relationship with lodestones are reared at an early age, so that they become almost a part of us. Yet, many continue to live their lives, unaware of our contributions. Don't you think that is rather unfair?' Rory ruffled her feathers and relaxed as the witch began her speech, listening and cocking her head. It almost sounded as if the little witch was trying to sell her something by the way her speech was going. She smiled a little bit, continuing to listen to the spiel that it sounded like Spica had been dying to give from how proper and practiced it sounded. "I do!" she chirped. "Lodestone advances are so important! People that find ways to make them even more useful should be thanked!" She gestured to the collar around her neck which attached to her lodestone and the metal backpack. "I'm the same way, I've been using my lodestone since I was a kid too! It functions just like another limb... or four," she hummed, quieting down as Spica continued her pitch. She thought to her previous interactions so far. 'The Witches' Society has three leaders, all profiecient in their abilities. It is very difficult to engage in conversation with them, however let me tell you this, I Spica Tremille has spoken to all three of them!' "That's very exciting," the harpy lauded, unsure who the three leaders were or why they'd be difficult to speak with. Most people could be conversed with if you could find a topic interesting to them. Rory didn't understand why they would be different, but she also truly knew next to nothing about witches. 'I am very fond of pie! Any pie will do, I treat them all the same!' She let out an awkward laugh and tipped her hat to conceal her shame. Rory tilted her head as what seemed to be genuine shame flushed across the girls cheeks, the harpy grinning and flapping her wings a little as the girl went off script. "Who ISN'T fond of pie?? It's great, my favorites are apple and pecan," she tried to reassure Spica, whose face was now ducked shamefully under the wide brim of her hat. The little witch had been all alone when she walked over, despite the little clusters that had formed. Was she shy? Perhaps she didn't know how to talk with the others. "Why don't we see if we can get some pie at the inn tonight? We can share some with our new teammates!" she offered.

Robin pondered the question, try to remember exactly what a sparrow had appeared as. They sat quiet, rocking their foot back and forth before speaking up, "I know they're tiny, and I think they have a brown head? They usually have this..." they motioned under their chin, waving their hand up and down their neck, "... black tuft of feathers here, I believe. Some have redder heads, though the first one you described I think was a cardinal." They weren't up to date with their knowledge on avian species, but they did know some common and flashy types at least.
They watched as the girl inched backwards, returning their gaze to the avenaudi. Despite Uldrix hissed and flashed his teeth without remorse, Robin hadn't thought much of the situation.
Oh. If Uldrix's suggestion was true, then her recent meltdown during their spar would make much more sense. Though that also begged the question- had she been trying to kill them? While they didn't want to assume anything, they couldn't help but feel a bit more wary of Kyana's actions. "What makes you say that?" they leaned in, curious of how the avenaudi came to the conclusion in the first place. An accusation wasn't to be taken lightly, especially when one gave reasons to be suspicious around.

"What makes you say that?" they leaned in, curious of how the avenaudi came to the conclusion in the first place. An accusation wasn't to be taken lightly, especially when one gave reasons to be suspicious around. Uldrix tried to think of a way to explain how his kind viewed speech, but to him it was like explaining color to someone who was blind. Just as he could never truly know what a frown or a smile appeared like on a face, the way an avenaudi perceived emotion wasn't something one could understand fully without seeing it first hand. Still, he would try his best. "When creatures who can display emotion talk." He began, wriggling a talon in front of his beak to imitate one of the wave forms he was currently viewing from his own speaking. "We can perceive inflections in their voice through a variety of different hues and tones. I will not lie to you, these sometimes can be hard for me to fully comprehend," he said, stopping his talon and staring at it like it held the key to unlocking the mysteries of emotive language, "but I am certain that the hues being produced by this girl are less than genuine. They are tinged with a tone that indicates these emotions to be false. I have seen it before with goblin men that proposed to me a peace treaty for using my territory for farming, and then shortly after decided trying to light my hovel on fire would provide faster results." He shook a bit with anger at the memory. "I learned what this hue means from them, and nothing productive can come of a relationship based on deception."

Alanis lurched forward as her leg went in an unexpected direction. Something about this battle was wrong. Based on this small display of uncoordinated fighting, there was no way she had the abilities being presented on the battlefield. Freyja was going to figure this out, one way or another. Seeing as Alanis was preoccupied with trying to kick Rey, Freyja took the opportunity to slowly move sideways until she was ten feet behind the girl. She hooked her lodestone into place and softened the dirt around her, like she had with Uldrix, in order to make as little noise as possible. She wanted to ensure that there was no way Alanis could see this attack coming. Freyja charged, full speed at the snot-nosed girl, intending to punch her full force in the back. If Freyja's theory was right, Alanis would be moved out of the way without even knowing what had happened.
