"Everything okay so far?" Jason spoke to the others, not referring to anyone in particular. Jason would occasionally look around to make sure no one was paying any mind to him, and sure enough everyone was too focused on Alicia to give him a care in the world. "Be prepared, Major. Once I say the keywords ('Why don't you show everyone'), that's when you pull up the images. Don't forget, alright?" Jason reconfirmed. They'd went over it several times, but it never hurt to be extra sure, right? Charlie made a small noise of confirmation in the microphone as she focused her efforts on the security cameras, witnessing Jason waltz up on the podium to get the plan rolling. The entire speech up to this point was mind numbing garbage, but at the very least it kept her on her toes for this fateful moment. She watched intently on the screen as she watched the events unfold, the question leaving his lips and sparking a supsicious in character reaction. ...Did his powers not work? She squinted at the screen as she saw her leader jostle in the crowd to get a better read on her mind, then the rest of the events were too hard to read. Was he wretching or something? The words were delayed with an undercurrent of suffering to them, piquing Charlie's fear. She listened closer into her headphones, even channeling a little bit of energy in order to make out every word. That's the ticket! Charlie's eyes gleamed underneath her glasses as she swiftly pulled up the program responsible for the slideshow and copypasted her own images in, making sure that her tracks were untraceable in doing so. Checking over in the security camera monitor, a devilish grin splayed across her face as her handiwork was broadcast to the entire crowd. Heck, it could have been broadcast throughout the country if this was being televised, but the horrified screams of the audience blaring in her headphones was totally worth it. Charlie whipped her head to the other two in the room, wondering why they were even here. It was then that she witnessed something horrifyingly ominous. She watched with slightly cold awareness as her cohort started convulsing, retching noises filling the entire room. A sense of dread clouded her thoughts as she saw the man literally collapse in a retching stupor, knowing it was a sign of things to come. She turned on her microphone once more, signalling to the rest of the crew what was going on. "Katy collapsed on the ground. He started convulsing after what happened at the stage back there. I think Elrod may be the same way if we don't do something soon. Be on guard!" Charlie ceased communication, a sense of fear coloring her face. She took to focusing on the security cameras to monitor anything else that might happen.

After a few more minutes of idle waiting, things finally started happening. A quick ensemble of light and sound herald the arrival of the prized princess of the country, Alicia. Gil cheered along with the rest of the crowd, yet even as he did so a myriad of doubts starting plaguing his mind. Would Jason really go through with the plan? There were hundreds if not thousands of people on Alicia's side. Maybe they should reconsider. No... it was too late for that. And Gil needed answers just as much as anyone on his team did. These feelings were just... they were the same as the pre-performance jitters he got. Right? Yeah, of course they were. It was then that she ran through the topics of her agenda. Gil lost interest almost immediately, but although Gil spaced out for the majority of her speech, he had to give the girl props for her intellect. She wasn't just reading off of note cards. She clearly knew her stuff. Gil harrumphed and looked away. She was young, but seemed much more wise than himself. There's no way she doesn't know about the fertilizer. Eventually, Gil's attention was brought back up to the stage as he heard Jason's voice. This is it! His pulse raced, his nerves suddenly skyrocketing. The doubts returned, but he shoved them aside for now. These next few moments were very crucial and required every ounce of attention. It appeared as though Jason struggled to get a good grip on Alicia's mind as she easily deflected the question. The redhead moved closer, and Gil was inclined to do so as well, but felt it might have been too obvious. Plus, there were tons of people in between him and Jason. As Jason continued speaking, Gil could almost hear the nervousness in his voice. It was then that Jason had suddenly been overwhelmed with an impulse to stop talking altogether with. W- What...? What is happening right now...!? Jason shuddered a little before struggling to open his mouth again. "Wh-why don't you..." He couldn't get the words out... He couldn't finish his sentence. What is... going on?! Jason's eyes had drifted from Alicia's stance on the stage now, finding it hard to focus on anything at all. However, after a few moments he was able to compose himself once again only to see Alicia was staring straight at him while talking to a bodyguard. Oh no... This is bad... this is bad... Panic arose in Jason. Something wasn't right at all... Something was going on... "Alicia! Why don't you-" Jason felt another wave of... something... This time it was giving him the feeling of dizziness and nausea... However this time he overcame it quickly, glaring straight at Alicia as he gained his composure. "-show everyone! Show everyone just what it is that you're doing with that fertilizer you so graciously offered us all!" Jason lifted his right hand, pointing directly at Alicia. Gil's stomach lurched. Why was it so hard for Jason to speak? They'd rehearsed this several times! And even if you take into consideration that the practice they did was just practice and not the real thing... a lot was at stake. Everything that happened next revolved around that one question. And Jason knew that! He was the one who drilled that into them over the past few days! No, something was definitely off. It was almost as if something was forcing Jason to desist. But that's not possible, right? Gil often relied on his instincts... and his instincts were telling him to get to Jason now even as he finally managed to ask the question, the gruesome images popping up on the overhead display only a few short moments after thanks to Charlie. "'Scuse me... sorry... coming through..." Gil was moving through the sea of people as quickly as he could, but more and more seemed to drift in from the sides, cutting off his route entirely. Damnit! He was only a few feet away now. A bead of sweat rolled down his face. He certainly hoped he was overreacting... She turned on her microphone once more, signalling to the rest of the crew what was going on. "Katy collapsed on the ground. He started convulsing after what happened at the stage back there. I think Elrod may be the same way if we don't do something soon. Be on guard!" "What does that mean?!" Gil shouted into his mic, not caring who heard. "Hey! What's happening?!"

Elrod sat in silence awaiting what was to come. His nerves had been a roller-coaster as thoughts zipped through his mind. Things would not be okay, Jason could handle it, they were going to die, everything seemed fine now, God please let this end-"Good afternoon!" Jason spoke up, coughing a little at the end of his sentence. God damnit... He already sounded nervous... Dear God, it started- Elrod's anxious shivers intensified. His own nerves caused him to barely be able to pay attention to exactly what Jason was saying, but he could tell by the sounds that he was having trouble. Elrod didn't blame him one bit. Everyone in the crowd all tangibly became tense and erratic at the same time- God, why? He really should've stayed at home- The man picked at his sleeve once more, eyes looking to Elrod. It was then that Katie suddenly started to retch out of nowhere. Dry-heaving loudly in the room, Katie's body shook and he hyperventilated trying to catch his breath. His vision shook and he immediately lost his balance, despite being on the floor. "Oh no oh no oh no..." Katie groaned in between his retches. "I don't... Jason... Where is Jason... Oh my god... I think..." Katie's body continued to shake more, his arms finally giving out and his head smacking against the floor as he lost the rest of his balance. His body laid there as he heaved, curling up with what strength he could muster in the moment. "Something bad is happening... Oh no... Please..." Katie started to tear up as his body continued to shake and the overwhelming feeling of doom and misfortune came upon him. He could never get over these reactions... This one was so much worse than the last time... But why...? Oh God, it only gets worse- why why why-Elrod, despite his own shivering, made his best attempt at helping Katie. He gathered his bag- soft and cushioned due to the clothing inside- and made to lift up Katie's head and place the bag underneath, in case Katie's convulsing got any more brutal. He knew from experience that the worst thing is having a breakdown and not having something soft to protect a rattling cranium. During his actions in trying to make Katie more comfortable, Elrod had been distracted enough that the gathering's movements had blurred- he could no longer sense who was who in the crowd, as everything had become a great muddled mess. This only added to Elrod's worries. Charlie's voice echoed in room and earpiece, and what she said managed to get through his barrage of thoughts- she was right, he likely wasn't far behind Katie's situation, as Elrod was now having difficulty keeping his body still from the shaking, and his breathing was gradually becoming more unstable. "What does that mean?!" Gil shouted into his mic, not caring who heard. "Hey! What's happening?!" Elrod knew he had to speak up before he lost his ability, and tried relaying what he could through to the team. "Th- He- I think- senses something- bad! He's n-n-not good, and-" Elrod took a few gasping breaths, "I-I lost you guys! I- I don't know who's who!" He knew at this point his breathing situation was not going to get better until it ran its course, opting then to put both hands behind his head as he tried regaining composure. Prickling feelings had begun behind his eyes, and he knew that meant tears were to come, but he couldn't let that happen under any circumstance. He hadn't cried in front of the others yet and he intended never to do so- besides, he had spent far too long on his makeup to allow anything to mess it- the prideful thoughts were quickly moved along as Elrod's mind went from a million thoughts to a numbing few. Are they okay? Are they okay? Are we going to die?

As the clock's hands continually ticked by, a churning sensation began to stir within Kaine's stomach as the dull pangs of boredom clashed with the swelling sense of anxiety deep in his gut. If fate deemed them dirt in the ground, then the least it could do was pass the minutes by with a bit more haste so he could get it over with. As the chipper voice echoed through the crowd, the eager hands of the crowd flew up along with howling that pierced his eardrums as though the gathering was made up of frantic dogs. For the sake of his own life, it was better to roll over when the treat was given. The man’s hands clapped in unison with the hollering spectators, albeit half-heartedly when compared to the fervor of a few individuals. The expression he wore was soft, accompanied by what would be a sweet smile if not for the fact he felt as if he was rolling in his own grave.
Aside from the hyperactive, untaught swarm of clamorous hyenas surrounding him he couldn’t help but trace the… “woman’s” exceedingly youthful features. Her skin had appeared pillowy and soft, with no indentations or even discolorations. She moved freely, completely unfettered by the icy fingertips of age. Really, how old is she? Truthfully, her appearance was enough to make him queasy by the sheer incomprehensiveness of her physiognomy.
Alas, it wasn’t his job to figure out the mystery of her age but to secure the area instead. His eyelids narrowed as the speech drudged on, taking careful glances over his shoulder and about. He bit his inner lip as his anxiety boiled, finally reaching the main event as his eyes fixated on Jason from within the masses. Kaine’s heart thumped harder with each syllable uttered; it was now that they would see the extent of Jason’s abilities and a fraction of their supposed collective power. The woman’s eyes dimmed momentarily, a silent pause as her mind seemingly grew clouded…
Before the spark returned.
The deafening thumps that rang through his ears from his chest ceased.
Had Jason fallen short? His power had to be one of their most impressive in terms of potential, yet why did it fail? Had he not practiced it enough? Kaine’s jaw clamped shut, his thoughts darkening with all sorts of conclusions as to why it now, out of all times, it resulted in a dud. His pupils flickered from Alicia to Jason, eyeing their movements closely.
To which he noticed the ginger frantically scrambling through the crowd like a crazed animal. What is he thinking!? He was undoubtedly drawing suspicion from both Alicia and the crowd with his assertive tactics. There had to be other ways for him to get closer-
Whereas before Kaine’s frustrations were growing impatient with Jason they were now wiped clean upon noticing the man’s pale complexion as he doubled over in confusion. No. He had to be using his powers to their fullest if he was making such a strained effort, but now he was eerily quiet. Kaine briefly pondered the possibility of Jason wearing himself out with an overuse, but this seemed different. His eyes swiftly darted back to the woman, who was now huddled next to a bodyguard. Shit! Even if the pictures fly up, with how poorly their plan was executed they’d be under more suspicion for causing a public disturbance rather than trying to bring light to an injustice. The ginger continually struggled and heaved on every word he attempted to spit back, only to be abruptly cut mid-way.
One of his previous fears had grown and festered in the back of his mind as the question gnawed him. Did they know about the abilities? As he managed to finally utter their code, the screens flashed with grotesque imagery as the crowd recoiled in ghastly horror. Even though they were so ecstatic to see their beloved trainer, in the end they withdrew with their tail in between their legs. Yet the extra noise only served to further enforce the edge on his nerves as he awaited a response. A barrage of voices rang through his earpiece as his colleagues reported back and forth with panic evident in their foreboding messages. The worst one of all being the scrawny fellow’s reaction to the outcome of their actions. Last time Katy came to him with a sense of dread was back at his house during the laptop retrieval, which ended in a bomb that nearly killed them. However, if he had collapsed at the mere sense of what was to come than there was no other choice but to act as rats and scurry back into their burrow.
Kaine’s eyes shot in Gil’s direction, desperately searching for the figure until he found him squirming through the masses in attempt to pull back Jason. “Don’t yell, if you do now you’ll only attract more attention,” he projected into the mic, “Gil, I’m going to slightly move those blocking your way. As long as you keep moving nothing should look wrong. Get Jason and scram. Charlie, let us know if anything seems off in the cameras.” There was a harshness in his tone as he hung up the line with the click of his tongue.
With that, his hand swung around his head into the back of his leather jacket, pulling up the hoodie underneath while securing the face mask in place. Kaine positioned himself to match the jitters and jolts of the crowd’s frightened movements as to try and blend in an attempt to get closer. After feeling the distance was appropriate, he focused intently on the figures that moved directly in front of Gil. If successful, their legs would move just a step out of his way so he could hopefully navigate himself just a bit easier without so much of a ruckus. Occasionally even making those next to the figure “accidentally” bump them out of the way...

The buzz of excitement that filled the stadium reached a fever pitch as the nation's sweetheart came flouncing on stage, the woman whose youthful appearance betrayed what should've been her true age by at least 40 years charming the audience with her special brand of cloying charisma. Eugh... Drei pulled his hood tighter to his head, as if the thin black cloth could possibly block out the roar of the entranced crowd and the saccharine music that seamlessly laced with it. The fabric stayed taut to his head as the Q&A session began, his right hand snaking to the back of his cloth-protected neck, giving it a hesitant tap before dropping limply. He couldn't lose himself to the pre-performance jitters. A sharp intake of air through his nose cleared his head as he trained all his focus onto the wait, surely less than a half hour in reality but with each minute ticking by in slow motion the already anxiety-riddled wait was drawn out into a grueling crawl. It'll be alright. We planned each and every step of the way. Everything is under control...
"Good afternoon!" Jason spoke up, coughing a little at the end of his sentence. God damnit... He already sounded nervous... "Hello there! May I have your name, beautiful one?" Alicia answered in her uniform way as she straightened her posture once more. She always asked the names, claiming it meant a lot to her and her followers. "Christopher!" Jason smiled a little. No shit he wasn't going to say his actual name... Drei's breath caught in his throat as his grip on his jacket finally let up, his gaze joining that of those around him who eagerly stared and awaited what the ginger had to say. Another deep breath. Here we go...
Drei's eyes widened in horror as their leader began to trip over his cue, eyes flickering between the two frustrated individuals. What's going on...? He frowned, and after giving the ginger a few heartbeats worth of pause, began to nudge his way through the equally flabbergasted crowd in Gil's direction. Whether it was stage fright or something worse didn't matter. This was already a hiccup in the plan, and that alone was enough for the anxious and paranoid cynic to brace for the worst. As the ginger stumbled over what had been meticulously rehearsed lines once again, with no visible signs of Alicia giving into his powers, the foreboding iciness of dread crawled up his spine. There's no way they aren't aware of our abilities. Not after the capture of his parents and their research circle. Carefully recorded data on all the test subjects, including himself, was at the very least verbally divulged, if not seized entirely. So perhaps... He swallowed his buzzing thoughts, the now panicking crowd more difficult to navigate as the gut-churningly grotesque images now displayed for the world to see, but his own eyes diverted. Major and Elrod's broadcast augmenting that urgency, Drei now shoved his way through a couple of the gridlocked areas, playing it off as though the froth of the chaos had unintentionally tossed him into the innocent bystanders. "So sorry." Sounded like the evacuation was indeed already in progress. "On my way over to you, Casanova," Drei responded snappily through the mic, catching sight of both Kaine and Gil amongst the sea of frenzy. His hand gripped to the top of his slipping and sliding hood as he forced his way through the current that was frenetic human movement, a final sharp 'accidental' nudge getting him within easy view of both team members. Eyes darting between the team and the bodyguards positioned on stage, he tried his best to quell the bout of anxious nausea that bubbled around in his gut with a deep, shaky breath. Either he needed to act as soon as Jason was retrieved, or he needed to act as soon as those bodyguards who stood on either side of the childish ruler mobilized. God, did he pray for the former.

"Th- He- I think- senses something- bad! He's n-n-not good, and-" Elrod took a few gasping breaths, "I-I lost you guys! I- I don't know who's who!" Senses something bad...? Gil audibly gasped the dots finally connected. K's ability... oh shit!“Don’t yell, if you do now you’ll only attract more attention,” “Gil, I’m going to slightly move those blocking your way. As long as you keep moving nothing should look wrong. Get Jason and scram. Charlie, let us know if anything seems off in the cameras.” Gil scanned the crowd, looking for Kaine. As he made eye contact with the man, he nodded once and was off. He shifted his beanie down lower and pulled up the clothe that acted as his mask. His first few steps were tentative, but sure enough a small passage opened up before him. He picked up the pace. People stumbled and two-stepped out of the way as he surged forward, completely unaware that they were being puppeteered. He was almost there... just a little bit further... "Jay," he mumbled from behind his mask as he collided with the ginger's back. He quickly wrapped an arm around Jason and shifted his body around so that he was able to shield him from view. "We have to get out of here." He reached behind Jason and flipped up his hood so that his shock of hair wouldn't be so easy to point out. "I've got 'im," he whispered into his mic. "Heading your way now." He turned towards Kaine's direction and noticed that Drei was also making his way over. Okay, okay - this is good. "Stay close..." he muttered, starting to shift his way back through another wave of people. Hopefully this at least would go right. They needed to get together and rendezvous with the others as soon as possible. Preferably alive.

An array of panic went over the earpiece as everyone communicated back and forth. The adrenaline Jason had from finally saying what he needed to kept him standing, but once he'd registered Charlie's message about Katie, his stomach felt as if it'd been dropped from ten stories up. Jason was aware of Katie's powers, but if he was really reacting in such a way...? Jason felt a panic in his mind set in once again. Was it Katie's lack of practice with his powers... or maybe someone else was messing with him? What if someone knew about the location of the other three and also had powers to ruin their plan? Before Jason could think anymore about it, more voices came through the earpiece. A panicked Gil, but a calm Kaine. Even Drei had himself under control. Though, Jason had expected this much. If those two couldn't keep their cool during a moment like this... then he wouldn't have agreed to meet with them.
Alicia was suddenly startled by her crowd's negative reactions. People gasped and screamed, some even started crying, covering their children's eyes as to protect them from truly scarring them for life. With note from her guards, she spun around and saw the top secret images splayed out for all to see, replacing her wonderful previous backdrop. Her eyes widened in shock.
"Security! Switch off the projectors and monitors immediately! We've been hacked!" One of the guards yelled out on stage after having had Alicia whisper something to him. Alicia stood back to her crowd, offering a pained smile.
"I apologize deeply for this horrible imagery! It seems we've been a part of an awful prank. We're looking into the culprits now, but please calm down as we remove the source and escort everyone out. I ask you all remain standing and look away from the screen for your own mental safety! Again, I apologize and want nothing more than to..." Alicia went on apologizing to the scared and horrified people. In between speaking she would turn to a guard or two and whisper something with a malicious look in her eyes, most of it being towards Jason's direction.
"Charlie, I need you to use the lights used in the back and sides of the area to blind Alicia and her guards. I'm sure if you turn the brightness potential to max out, it'll create another good distraction." Jason spoke over his microphone. At this point he was avoiding looking Alicia in the eyes, feeling a bit whoozy each time he had. Once an arm had reached him, Jason ducked down a little and too put on his hood, covering his mouth with a mask.
"Thank God you're here, Gil..." Jason spoke, leaning in close towards Gil's ear so that he didn't have to yell over the crowd. "Listen... I know you're doing all you can but... but if the others are right about Katie, there's high potential that we could die right here and now... so until Charlie can give us cover, we're going to need to get out of here as fast as we can..." Jason figured they were already on the same page, but needed to make sure. Jason's eyes scanned the crowd, but as his mind was focused on too many things at once, he wasn't able to find any of the other in the sea of people. Apparently Drei and Kaine had been close.... Hopefully that meant their chance of survival was pretty high after all.
Katie was too overwhelmed to notice Elrod approaching but was more comfortable when his head no longer smacked the hard floor. Katie's eyes rolled back as he felt as if he was going to pass out but was woke to his existence by another wave of nausea. The convulsing slowly started to subside, but the pit in his stomach did not once let up. Sweating, Katie curled up more and started to cry bitterly. Why was this happening to him...? Why did he have to have such an awful power...? Why did he just... sense horrible things? Why not good things? Why did he have to be so surrounded by awfulness and death...!?
Katie continued to cry for a while until he felt as if his body had became numb, just laying there silently. He just wanted everyone to be happy and safe... he really wished he would've died back at his home after all.
Jason pressed a hand to Gil's chest, offering a small smile, though it could not be seen under his mask. "Thanks for your help, but unless you think you can move my legs faster than I can, you don't have to hold onto me anymore." Jason confirmed his physical well being with his blonde friend. After being further away from Alicia, his mind felt a lot less foggy and suppressed.
Unfortunately, on the sidelines there were in fact a few guards that were instructed to capture Jason. Some were looking through the crowds for the matched description, but with the guys' clothing, it was a bit harder to find them now.
"Excuse me sir." A sudden voice came from behind Gil and Jason with a hand gripping onto the redhead's shoulder. A bodyguard stood behind the two men, fixated on Jason entirely. Despite the clothing hiding most of his recognizable traits, the stern looking authority figure still managed to track the leader down. "You need to come with me." He instructed with a tug.
"Shit..." Things were already taking a turn for the worst...

"On it!" Charlie proclaimed into the microphone, pulling up the program to make the necessary adjustments when her computer froze.
...her computer froze.
It froze.
Charlie's face froze in an expression of shock at the blunder. She had run every diagnostic possible, her RAM was top of the line for the model. There was no way it could freeze. Her eyes scanned the screens, looking for a reason why it was happening. She gave the computer a light slap to try and get it running, but sure enough, it worked.
Maybe it was the sheer amount of programs that had to be run for this operation, but the time lost in the process was detrimental at best. She had to make up for that precious minute of lost time. She focused more energy for focus to compensate, trying her damndest to make sure she could get the lights going. She cranked the scroll bar for the lights to maximum brightness, jerking her head to another monitor to watch her handiwork blind everyone.
There was no time to celebrate: this was a terrible job, using energy for something as simple as adjusting lights. The sweat was rolling down her forehead signalling fatigue and both of her roommates would be no help right now. She had to conserve for a bit before she'd make any more major decisions, hoping that her comrades would do the same and help her out.

Damn!
It happened all so fast. He didn't even notice the man approach them. He cursed in his mind as the bodyguard attempted to pull Jason along with him. The crowd was still fidgeting around nervously, and although some attempted to leave the venue, it was still much too crowded to bust out in a run to the nearest exit. They just needed to wait for Major to hit the lights. It should be any second now...
But the immediate threat was here. Gil pulled down his mask and quickly backtracked. He'd have to keep the man from whisking their glorious leader away until Major worked her magic. "Hey, man, what the hell was that?!" he asked the guard. "What were those pictures? Were they real??" He slowly inched closer to the guard, raising the incredulousness in his voice with each question. "There are children here! How could you show something like that to them?!"
Gil sought to rile up the people immediately around them, and it worked to an extent. There were mutters of approval and accusatory glares fired at the guard, seeming to have petrified him. Never mind the fact that Alicia had declared that they were hacked. The guard looked uncomfortable and was about to haul Jason off, but just as the man took a few steps back, the lights above them shone their brightest, bathing the venue in a harsh white light. The people let out shocked yelps, covering their eyes. Even the guard was caught off guard by Charlie's handiwork, his grip on Jason loosening.
Gil couldn't see much either, but the location didn't really matter as long as he and Jason were out of the man's reach. Gil shifted forward and bumped into the man, wrapping a hand around his wrist as he began siphoning the guard's energy. The man slumped forward, suddenly feeling a wave of exhaustion. He didn't take enough energy to kill the man, but he'd be unable to move around too much for a few minutes. "Now's our chance. We have to go!" he said to Jason. The people had stopped moving for a bit, so it was easier to move them out of the way. They moved farther away from Kaine and Drei than intended, and eventually lost track of the two altogether.
"Great..." Gil mumbled.

Despite the frantic bustling of panicked party goers and screaming children, Kaine had been able to spot the two just fine earlier. But then why?! The deafening thumps of his heart rang throughout his eardrums as he attempted to identify the pair within the crowd, only to stumble over his own feet upon an abrupt shove as a distraught member fled the gathering as the morbid imagery above continued to occupy the monitors. His eyes stared back at the blacktop that scraped one of his palms as he positioned to catch himself to avoid landing face-first into the ground. The madness of the desperate shouts and sudden movements joined together as a confusing disarray that was overload to the senses.
Today’s events proved fruitless, with only their evidence being dubbed as tomfoolery as a result of their own lack of power. He bit his lip in heated frustration as his eyebrows furrowed, shuffling to his feet once more in a frenzy. By all means, he could flee from the scene himself and assure his own hide if not for the fact somewhere amidst the sea of anxiety Jason could potentially be apprehended and brainwashed. Kaine’s hands were as good as tied as long as the possibility continued to stand. A familiar voice came through the earpiece, albeit not one he was particularly hoping to hear it was nonetheless better than no backup at all. Kaine’s eyes flickered between the figures, until finally recognizing a face among the throng of panic. Without so much of a word, he hastily outstretched his arm to grab the blonde by his elbow and pull him closer. “Elrod, can you still not locate anyone?” Kaine whispered, before shooting daggers at the four-eyes with his arm interlocked in a tight grip. “We can’t afford to get separated now, so just deal with it,” he hissed, obviously wrought with pent-up aggravation from the nauseating turn of events.
Incompetent, was all the back of his thoughts lingered on while meticulously scanning for a quick solution within the chaos. Two weeks had he dawdled around with a ragtag team of misfits and endangering his own life over a goal he had little faith in accomplishing, especially after today’s bombastic failure. The most infuriating of it all being that while he could point fingers left and right, in the end one would always have to fall on his own resolve on account of his own flawed judgement. After all, he alone decided to loiter with a band of nobodies he met through some illegal chat room, and for what reason? Boredom? Break of routine? A slim chance of meeting a familiar face? It was a result of his own careless stupidity that brought him there, and now he was paying for it by being rooted knee-deep in their affairs. He had his own life in motion already, or at least he used to.
“Gil, Jason, where are you? Can you describe anything? Should we meet up somewhere?” As Kaine’s pupils gazed back onto the stage, a spark ignited as a light dimly showed itself at the end of the tunnel. “I’m gonna stir up a bit of trouble,” he whispered, his eyes fixated on an individual who had been holding a bag with what appeared to be walled-up trash from an earlier trip along their way to the event. Their fingers curled around the bag tightly before slinging their arm around their head, throwing the garbage at a nearby guard before a look of panic overtaking their features. Another individual nearby followed suit with a water bottle, and so on.
Surely, it would be fine. If they were captured by the guards and were suspected to be unchipped, the security would hopefully check before delivering punishment. Regardless, by the look of their faces they were ready to make bail in fear of their own body’s uncontrolled actions. Kaine lifted one hand to his head, rubbing his temple as the early stages of throbbing began. “Start heading to the sides,” he meekly mumbled to Drei as the words came out unsteadily. “We need to find a break in the crowd,” a slight groan could be heard under his breath, “Something…”

Kaine's voice crackled to life in his ear. "I-" Gil looked around him for anything that stood out, but all he saw were the scared and shocked faces of the masses. "-it's no use, Kaine; All I see are people. Wait..." Gil could hear a few outcries coming from his right. He could barely spot a few pieces of trash being flung through the air many yards away. All the way over there? He spoke back into his mic. "I see trash. We're maybe 2... no... 3 yards to the right of the main stage. Where are you?"
