Lan'ra blushed a bright color simply at the contact of Florence's hand, but when she spoke up to Quincy. Oh. My. Gosh Goodness. She looked all around as if that would combat her flustered-ness. She fanned her face and joked around with a sentence that still left her incredibly flustered. "O-oh sweetie, you're so silly, not in front of the children~" she said, her voice wavering. That just made it worse, and she was currently a blushing mess looked towards Quincy. "Y-yeah, you don't have to worry or pretend. We're here for you." Florence laughed as Lan'ra played along, her smile growing even wider (if that were possible). As Quincy smiled once more and moved towards the group, Florence's grin softened into a much more somber one. Wow, I'm fuckin' nailing it!! She took her arm off of Lan'ra and gave her a thumbs up. "Thanks for the help, sweetie! We should go meet the others too! After all." Florence puffed out her chest and putting on her overconfident voice again. "That's what a leader does!!" She exhaled with a chuckle and began walking over to the group, her eyes set on a new robed figure she'd yet to make the acquaintance of. She wasn't worried though. With her amazing charisma and friend-making skills, she was bound to make friends with this newcomer in no time! She stood in front of the new figure, putting on her award winning smile and holding her hand out. "You must be here for the meetup! Hi-ya! I'm Florence, Florence Loftwill! Daughter of Issac Loftwill! It's nice to meet you!" She waited eagerly for this new figure's response, her eyes sparkling with the anticipation of making yet another friend. They looked around the area and spotted Isla standing off by her self, to which they called out. "Madam Emendeuth! Come over here and meet our new friend!" She chimed cheerily as she turned back to the newcomer. "So what's your name?"

Ani became aware of a rather unamused appearing woman looking at her and briefly returned her gaze, until she was approached by an amicable young woman. Slowly Ani'Chi brought her arms out in front of her and momentarily adjusted her brass knuckles as she pondered the question. The question of a name should be an easy answer. You give the name you were given. But as it stood she was unsure what to give, yet another throw away alias could be hard to manage if it were intended to be used by so many others- very easily she could forget the name she gave. For a short instance she was torn. Between her true name- which lends some small sense of familiarity to others, more connection than a nameless being on the street- and her stage alias- completely detached from her identity but a little more known. In the span of a few seconds she had firmly fixed her knuckles and grasped for the other party's hand, opening her mouth to answer. "Ani'Chi." The choice was made. Real it was. "My name is simply Ani'Chi. A pleasure it is to have this meeting." Her voice came out sharp and stern, despite sounding like that of a younger girls. Even with the mask her voice came out clear, not quiet or muffled as a voice obstructed by a face covering would be expected to be.

Her eyes widened at the abrupt whisper, admittedly slightly startled by the sound. Just beneath her a small goblin was nestled in between the bushes, pinching a flier with his hands with a bit of a troubled expression. It was the same one she possessed, but was he really here for such a thing? She shrugged, as the only way to find out was to be his helping hand. "I-I can read!" She waved her hand from above, her coattails fluttering in the wind as she glided down beside him. "This is for a meetup in Aurous Meadow," she pointed to the group in the distance. "It's for 'ending this scourge once and for all' to quote it directly. I'm assuming they're referring to the recent... activity, in the city." Eliza nodded, before continuing, "Are you going to help? I'm going to meet the others in a moment if you want to come." Pippin let out a small yelp as the elven woman called out to him, practically letting go of the letter in his hands as he jolted forward. His tail tightened it's coil around the branch he was sitting on as he gained his footing, looking up at Eliza with terrified eyes as she practically floated down beside him. "I knew-" The goblin started before lowering his ears and resigning himself to listening to his new branchmate's explanation. Pippin had the most basic of read capabilities- he could recognize a street sign after passing it 50 or so times and knew how to sign his own name. But sounding out letters and string them together was a skill he was never taught. Pippin's ears twitched up and down as he mulled over Eliza's words. "I dunno... I just want to get out of here." He looked towards the gathering tentatively, questioning his other options. "Can I trust them?" The nervous goblin asked, turning to face Eliza before quickly looking away. He didn't even know if he could trust her. What if when he turned his back on her to go to the other group, she stabbed him and took all his stuff? Was that what this group did? Use posters to find crazy people and then mug them? Pippin shivered, his grip tightening on the branch he was perched on. He turned to look towards Eliza suspiciously, looking for any knifes that she could have on hand.

Eliza cocked her head to the side, perplexed by the goblin's skittish behavior. I suppose it can't be helped. After all, their home had become a prison as of late, who could they trust? Honestly, being asked such a question reminded her of her own doubts upon first seeing the parchment, but for her case it wasn't much of a choice. The beasts had a power she craved swirling inside of them, and if she was going to stay in this world she needed to siphon mana. The goblin appeared innocent enough, as he seemed genuinely distressed by her presence. "Oh- I don't know truthfully... I'm taking a gamble myself. I can go first if you want, then if they jump me, you'll know they're a shady bunch!" Her eyes swayed in the group's direction, "I can't get a good read on how strong they all are... but I'm not too shabby, so if it gets ugly I could at least get out I'm sure." A wide smile spread across her lips, "Yes! I think that's a good plan," she affirmed her own strategy before readying her descent. "I'm Eliza Chrysillis by the way! If they are good, I will come back to you! If not, uh, I guess I'll scream," she shrugged.
With that, her coattails caught wind as she fluttered down from atop her perch. As she drew closer to the ground, she glanced back up and offered her little spy a thumbs up for assurance. A goblin! Perhaps he was from the same district as her then? She had little knowledge of who was gathered here, but it was comforting to know that there was possibly someone of similar background to her own. A few of them were huddled closely, one of them bearing a massive piece of weaponry. This could be bad. If the woman was a threat, then her equipment was nothing to scoff at. Across from her was a robed figure, who was completely obscured by their choice of clothing from the back. Albeit cautious, Eliza carefully tip-toed her way over to the colorful figures.
"-Eliza!" Her voice abruptly cut in, a hand immediately reaching to cover her blabber mouth. Instead of going with the natural flow of the conversation like planned, her sudden interjection came off as clumsy. "Ah- Chrysillis, that is! Is this for the flier...?" Her pupils darted back and forth between them, curiously peeking at the hooded figure especially.

She gripped Eliza's hand and gave it a few strong shakes. "Hi-ya, Eliza! I'm Florence! Florence Loftwill! Daughter of Isaac Loftwill! I'm the one who wrote those posters!! As I was just telling Ani'Chi, I'm gonna be your leader for this adventure!!" She exclaimed with pride. She let go of Eliza's hand and turned her back to the two of them, continuing their 'internal' monologue. "Wow! Look at all these friends! And their all so pretty! I must be the greatest friend-maker in the world! Why did I never try this sooner? .....Well, I guess cuz the city was never infested like this.... WHATEVER!! Play it cool, Florence, play it cool..." Florence turned back to the two ladies and smiled. "So, how's it hangin'?" She leaned up against the invisible wall she seemed to love and winked at the two.

Her pupils darted back and forth between them, curiously peeking at the hooded figure especially. Vervain's attention was brought back to the arrival of more members when he heard the mention of the name "Eliza". Hm? He raised an eyebrow curiously. Could it be...?
Vervain turned around, finding his suspicions to be correct. Ah, yes! Of course it's her! As it turned out, the woman that had just arrived was one of his good friends from the college. Eliza Chrysillis - she was an excellent student and an even better magician, her skill surpassing many of the students that attended the College of Aueyen. Vervain couldn't help but respect the young elf. Her ambition was truly astonishing. If you asked him, that's what separated her from the rest of the students in Aueyen. Truthfully, she reminded him of himself in his youth. He couldn't help but let out a loud guffaw at the sight out her. "Well if it isn't Eli! I had an inkling feeling you would show up." He said, approaching the woman with a slight smile on his face.

The woman who introduced herself as "Florence" hastily took hold of Eliza's hand, gripping her slim fingers tightly as she shook it. She flinched at the sudden touch, taken off-guard by the woman's forwardness. After she released her hand, the burly figure twirled so that her back was to Eliza, muttering a jumble of words to herself. Eliza quirked an eyebrow, a bit perturbed by the strange behavior exhibited, but also intrigued by her surname. Loftwill? She mentioned she was the daughter of the famous explorer, but was it true? It's not that she was wanting to doubt in the woman, but rather that her tendency to think out loud was a peculiar habit. However, Florence wasn't whispering words of malice, so surely she still had her screws tight. "It's..." Eliza glanced over her shoulder at the buildings in the distance, "Holding up, I suppose. Kinda."
A familiar voice rung through her eardrums as she stood on her tiptoes with excitement. "Professor Hylaeus!" She chirped, "What a pleasant surprise!" Hylaeus had been one of the teachers she gained an affinity for at the College of Aueyen, and she often looked forward to his lectures and admired his wisdom. "Oh!" a gasp followed, realizing that if Hylaeus had shown up, then there was definitely nothing to fear. The goblin should be safe then, as if even if everyone else turned against them, Hylaeus and herself could protect the tiny green one. "Wait one moment sir!"
Eliza scampered across the field, before settling on a spot near the original tree. Her arms waved in the air as she called out, "Gooooooblin! It's safe!" She pointed to the elderly man behind, "Professor Hylaeus is here!" Her hands motioned to the man as to invite him to follow, clearly feeling as though all suspicion was dissipated from her end.

Florence frowned as Eliza's attention was drawn away from her, the attention seeming to land on Vervain before the girl ran off in a different direction. Was it something she'd said? The gunslinger kicked up some dust as she looked down at the ground, somewhat disappointed that a number of the people appearing already knew each other while Florence knew none of them. It was a feeling the girl knew all too well. "Uh.. If you need me, I'll be over on the bench!" She said, mustering up her cheeriest tone as she walked away from Ani'Chi. She seated herself on the wooden chair and dug into her bag, once more retrieving the pen and journal she'd kept. She remembered that Vervain had mentioned knowing her father, but decided not to bother at the moment given these people were likely just happy to find each other alive in this apocalyptic scenario. She looked back towards the sky and then back towards her journal. 'Sun is still in the same spot.' She tapped her pen to her face, debating whether or not it was time to tell the group what they'd be doing and why. She blew the thought off for now. "I'll wait to see if anyone else shows up."

"Perhaps you are right. But that won't stop me from expressing my concern. Now more than ever, life is so short. I hope that with time you come to realize that all of the people here are special, just like you are, and start to allow yourself to feel." Isla squinted at the suggestion of her needing to improve. She already knew her own flaws, her lack of mana training was all that needed tending to. The Professor didn't know what he was talking about. She thanked her past self for not taking any of his classes, for she was sure if she did, they'd all be full of that same wisdom. Feelings had nothing to do with strength. "Madam Emendeuth! Come over here and meet our new friend!" She chimed cheerily as she turned back to the newcomer. "So what's your name?" In the general direction she was looking, their loud leader called out to her to join and meet the newcomer. Inwardly she sighed, hoping this person was not as idiotic as the rest, and walked over. When she arrived she nodded in acknowledgement of their new acquaintance, being near enough at the time to hear her introduce herself as 'Ani'Chi'. "As she said. I am an Emendeuth. Isla," she said with her usual stern tone and stood straight-backed with her arms crossed behind her.

Pippin stood perfectly still, watching the man Eliza pointed at with wide eyes with an occasional turn of the head before finally jumping out of his hiding spot and landing next to the elf with a small trill. "Do you know him?" Pippin asked, despite knowing the answer to his question. The goblin took a half step away from Eliza, making sure he wasn't in shanking distance while still closely observing the man that was pointed out.

"Yes!" Eliza beamed, "This is Professor Vervain Hylaeus, he's from the College of Aue-" however, a grim reminder invaded her thoughts as she spoke about the establishment. That's right. The school was no more, being that the fog had consumed it along with the rest of the city. The scholars and students were either victims of the fog, or of its product from what she had gathered. Her pupils fell to the ground, recalling the information as the weight piled on her shoulders. Right. It was all coming back to her now, the saturated disappointment of possibly never carrying out her career as she had always envisioned it. With the beasts about and her... unfortunate dilemma, denial often got the best of her and she forgot about the building's status."Well... he was from the College of Aueyen," a dreary sigh escaped her, "It has since been... dismantled, but-" she turned her head to glance at Hylaeus, "I am glad you are still alive. Perhaps once this is over... the college can be restored..."
She meekly picked her head up, "I mean, it's kind of like what you teach. Wildlife flora and fauna both may perish, but something can live on in its place, right? So I'm sure..." she offered a weak smile as her eyebrows drew tightly, trying to reach for a light reaction within her professor, and possibly herself at the same time.
The goblin across from her was still positioning himself just a step away; it was obvious he was still rather cautious. As Eliza observed his skittish behavior, she decided to take a step back herself as to acknowledge his discomfort with her. "May I ask for your name?" she asked the small fellow, "It's a little rude to keep calling you as I have been. I should have asked earlier... so I apologize for being late."

Pippin silently expressed his confusion by tilting his head to the side, one of his large green ears giving a twitch as he did so. He knew of the school Eliza spoke of, though never would he have the privilege of going there himself, and assumed it would fall when the fog came, but the meaning for her distress was beyond him. It was just a building. A building only a few people ever got the chance to ever go to. Pippin shook his head, pulling himself out of thought as Eliza asked for his name. He looked up at her, taking a moment to process what had been asked while he had been busy in his own thoughts and then swallowed. "I'm Pippin."

Jintama finally found Aurous Meadow. Good grief, it was a real drag to find. She sees a group that was there and sighed a it. She walked over to them. "Hello, I hope I am not too late for this meeting." Jintama said. "The name's Jintama Henfeilds, by the way." Florence had been writing what seemed like nonsense in her journal when yet another person wishing to join her group appeared. She waited for a moment, looking to see if anyone in the area already knew the girl before placing her journal back in the bag, and walking over. She hesitated slightly to introduce herself, but ultimately decided it wasn't her forwardness that turned people away, it was just them wanting to talk to other people. Right?"Hi-ya!" She exclaimed. "I'm Florence Loftwill! Daughter of Isaac Loftwill! I'm the one that made that flier!" She grinned at the newcomer, proud that she'd managed to establish such a large group with her hastily made fliers. "I'm gonna be your leader through this whole thing! And.." It suddenly occured to Florence that she'd yet to explain WHY she brought everyone here, besides to 'end the scourge.' She hadn't told them why the scourge happened, even IF it should be clear to everybody why. She looked around the area, scratching the back of her head. "I'll wait a couple more minutes..." She whispered (for the first time) to herself. She then looked back at Jintama and smiled. "Its nice to meet you, Jintama! You should go make friends with everyone else! We're probably gonna get moving soon, if this is everyone." She smiled before walking back over to the bench and grabbing her bag.

And with that, Jintama walk a little closer to on of the people. One person caught her interest(Eli). She walks up to her. "Hello, I supposed you got here from the filers as well?" asked Jintama. "The names Jintama, by the way." ( norimo )
